History:
For a long time the Silver Sky Republican Air Force needed away to penetrate the extremely thick bunkers and missile silos that most nations field, when used against submarine pens similar to those used in WW2 the effect was devestating, the whole pen was obilverated, the extremely thick steel and Osmium-Cobalt Alloy penetrator broke throught the entire 25ft thick and dove through 50ft of water and got stuck in 20ft of thick dense mud before exploding.
The blast radius for a surface detonated version extended too nearly 3 miles, over 3 times that of the MOAB. In an test bomb was ejected from 60,000ft by a totally stripped down B-300EL from 65,000ft (Actual combat altitude would be ~55,000ft) after falling fast it hit the test bunker and penetrated 10 stories, a total of ~75ft of concrete before exploding, the explosion totally destroyed another 175ft of concrete, it caused huge chunks of steel reinforced concrete to fall from the ceiling at ~700ft down(mission kill), and smaller pieces to break off at up too ~900-1000ft down.
Truely an "earthquake" bomb if their ever is one, seismometers up too 10 miles away registered at least a 2 and the ones near the blast site registered an 10.0 up too 600 meters away for a very brief time.
Currently Deployed to the Atlantia, Pacific, and Marshall colonies for combat testing against ships, especially SDs, which have been very effective. It also has the ability to be surface detonated, which can clear huge amounts of land and knock over tanks and armored vehicles along with totally destroying even hardened buildings and ruining runways. The "Super Nova" will only be used against "Ultra-Hard Targets"
SIC: It is rumored that the Super Nova will be seeing actual combat within the ensuing year.

History: The little brother to the "Super Nova", the "Nova", esentially a half sized "Super Nova", is a much more mobile weapon, allowing twice the amount of weapons, for the same amount of weight it is more effective then the "Super Nova" when employed against targets of "regular" hardness such as extensive underground trench systems and bunker complexes. The "Nova", like it's bigger brother can be surface detonated with startling effectiveness.
SIC: It has also gone under extensive testing for a total of 15 control test, it is also being deployed in numbers to over seas troops, namely those in the new colonies.
