It had been decided, They had Decided the outcome of this "Incident" by refusing to sign the Document, Now they would sign it in the Blood of their Innocents...
Father had watched intently as soon as the talks began, enjoying every minute of the back and forth arguments, Delegates leaving the room and the Storming of the Talks by The Imperial Ravens ICF...
It had all gone so well, Father had thought, The He made his proposal, that he was sure everyone would find agreeable one way or another...
It detailed the Peace that the AKA had decided to pry for, since they had walked into the Formidable Consortium...
They had been warned that this would happen, but The AKA taking the Moral High Ground, chose to ignore the warnings and march headlong into a preverbial meat grinder... Now they would Pay, They had Awoken a sleeping Behemoth, and it had set its sights upon The AKA...

In the Imperial Marine Headquarters, military base near At Tahrir, western Kahanistan
Several Imperial Marine generals were planning how to best defend the Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan against Kraven and its allies.
General Abdullah Hassan al-Ghazi, nicknamed "General Gas," proposed widening the tunnels under Kahanistan.
"I think we should extend the underground tunnel network, plant land mines all over the countryside, except for main roads, and anything that looks Kraven that uses the roads we blow up."
General Kalazanov disagreed. "If we mine too much of the countryside, then civilians will be killed, and how will that look to the international community?"
al-Ghazi glared at Kalazanov like he was a turd goblin from the bottom of his boot. "While you worry about the international community, Feodor Sergeievich, the international community ran off with its tail between its legs like a French poodle. They've abandoned us, except possibly Xirnium, and it's highly unlikely they have the troops to help us after their losses in Operation Divine Retribution."
Brigadier General Rachel Levitt spoke up, a bit milder than her usual gung-ho, blow-me attitude. "I think both of you are jumping to extremes. I would support using expanded tunnels, yes, and I would certainly use mines, but preferably something closer to anti-armor mines that armored Capitol Police might set off, but unarmored civilians or flak-jacketed, NBC wearing Republic Guards won't. Perhaps an electromagnetically triggered mine, or a remotely detonated device like a claymore?"
Levitt continued. She seemed to have mellowed a little since her trial. Hanging around Sklenova too much. "We know gas won't work against their armor, and antitank weapons worked well in Xirnium, but I would suggest that we all issue armor-piercing rounds to the troops. From what I heard from Intelligence, oxygen is toxic to Sardaukar. A single shot to the face from an AP round should take one down. Furthermore, I recommend that we put something over our gas masks to prevent destruction by the three-stage bioweapon, perhaps a ceramic or polymer coating, or even an alcohol spray if we detect any dispersal methods, anything suspicious really as we don't know how it's deployed, unexploded grenades or shells, suspicious pipes, anything can be a red flag."
Brigadier General Abdul Karim al-Mutar concurred. "Levitt's right. But we want those capitalist pigs to suffer. And as we learned in the Ottoman War, it's not enough to protect the ground, we must also protect the air. I recommend that a huge trench be dug alongside the beach and filled with rabid piranhas and maybe another one filled with sulfuric acid. As for our air defenses, we need to defend all four major cities, our military bases, and canals and water treatment facilities with the most heavy-duty anti-aircraft missile launchers we can get, Patriots should do the job nicely. And we could use several Yamato-class battleships parked in the beach and along the coast, shell anything that isn't a civilian vessel like a trading ship unless it has clearance and we know it's allied, and we escort civilian ships to prevent them from suicide-bombing our ships."
Kalazanov spoke again. "Good points, General. But as for defending the skies, our illustrious General Marcellus Valens is the best there is. He has just returned from Xirnium, and he will, if the Central Command accepts, command the air forces defending Kahanistan."
Al-Ghazi looked worried. "So, all they have to do now is nuke Fortress Kahanistan? We need to take stock of our anti-missile defenses, our orbital satellites, SDI, that kind of thing."
"The President himself has taken care of that," said Levitt. "He has personally assured us that the nation is safe."

We do not fear your "military power", seeing as it was not enough to stop the utter defeat of your forces at Xirnium, and it allowed for the landing of troops in Concermo (before I removed myslef from the rapidly declining and idiotic conflict). It is laughable how you can threaten nations that can defeat you on the battlefield. If you attack any nation of the AKA, the Allied Union pledges it's military support in full to the given nation. Be it ourselves, our allies shall aid us.
You will rue the day you stormed the shores of the Allies.
SIC:
The hour long predicted by "experts" was approaching fast. A foreign invasion of the home islands. The war with Kraven had forced the Velkyan military to expand, and expand they did.
In a relativly short amount of time, the Velkyan Army had added 1 new armored division and 4 new infantry divisions. The Air Force had expanded from 5 wings to 8, and the Navy was going from 200 ships combat ships to nearly 400, and AAA installations began popping up all over Velkya, espacially in the ports and major cities. The ports began erecting large guns harbor defence guns, some as big as 1000 millimeters.
Add to this that for the first time in Velkyan history that the 20 million man military was entirely at home, and there was sure to be hell to pay for any military that set foot there.

After a brief turnaround at Kraven, the majority of Axis Nova forces have moved out. Most have returned to Axis Nova to resupply and rearm before preparing for the upcoming operation against Kahanistan.
At the massive bases that serve as ports for Axis Nova's air fleet, there is a continued bustle and clangor, as day and night, troops, vehicles, supplies, and weapons are all continually moved in, preparing for a major effort.
The space side is not neglected either-- Axis Nova's orbital network, which suffered in the recent conflict, is replenished, as replacement satellites are launched from both ground and orbital facilities.
In charge of the Kahanistan invasion would be General Basque Ohms, the man who so recently was helping to defend it against the Ottoman Alliance...
It was confirmed. The enemy was attacking Kahanistan in force.
Velkya's orbital assests were not left to ruin, either. 10 more AML stations went up in the year following the invasion, and the 4 downed TRCs were rebuilt. The whole entire orbital defence system was then equipped with speical MAC CICW guns to futher the defense of the clusters.

The Corporations Military was moving with speed, Many forces deployed to Kravonika in the defense against The AKA was un-nessesary, as the attack was fruitless and the deployment was a waste in man power and time....
This displeased the Kraven Defense Network because now they had to withdraw the vast Military machine from the Network...
All across the defense line, Capitol Police troopers were moving backtowards Kravonika, where on the vast air fields the Kraven Assault craft were sat waiting, fueled up and preparing to go, waiting for them were the massive super carriers that would take the assault craft to Kahaninstan itself...
The Corporation was mobilising for war once again, Citizens moral was high as usual during times of war, Production of weapons and ammuniton was high and the Corporation continued to pour propaganda through loud speakers ensuring the Citizens understood the situation...
"War is Good For the Country, Whats Good For The Country, Is Good For You"
"Support the War Effort, Support Our Soldiers, Work Harder For The War"
"War Support, Support The War"
"Reject Defeatism"
"Reject Foreign Oppression"
"War IS Peace"
The War machine was now in Gear...

Greetings noble allies!
Evil war gathers at the very gates to righteous Kahanistan, and cowardly heretics seek to bring their foul blasphemy to your lands. Kraven and his demon spawn mobilise, and his fawning hounds the slave-allies rush forth in innumerable numbers to despoil your fair country. Fear not, however, for ours' is a cause blessed by the Immortal God-Emperor Quikzos IV himself.
We stand with you as brothers unto death. We shall commit all that we can spare, and are sending military advisers and Inquisitors to you immediately to assist you in your preparations for just war. We also gift you the reverse-engineered Kraven bioweapon (unfortunately we have only the first and second stages) and all related knowledge we have on it for use against the unclean hordes should you require it. Perhaps you may even succeed in synthesising a counter.
Rejoice, noble Kahanistan, for death itself will rush to welcome your enemies on your holy shores!
May the Immortal God-Emperor Protect!

Najaster, Capital of Kahanistan
Presidential Palace
President Mohammed bin Yusuf al-Za'if paced the floors of his office. So, they're finally attacking. Good thing our satellites are in working order again after Axis Nova betrayed us.
He called his secretary. "Lara, do we still have any beer?" The secretary, a slender, attractive woman in her early thirties, smiled. "Yes, I'll bring you a He'Brew."
"Make it a six-pack," said the President. "Kraven is deploying landing craft to attack us. Good thing we have those Yamatos on the shoreline, they'll be blown into the water. Given how stressful things are here, you might want to get some for yourself," he added, referring to the beer.
Lara left and came back two minutes later with a twelve-pack. She set it down on the President's desk, and they drank the potent brew.
While his secretary was fetching the brew, President al-Za'if had written a letter to the Xirnium Government.
DEMOCRATIC SOVIET REPUBLIC OF KAHANISTAN
Office of the President
The Government of Kahanistan is interested in your offer of assistance. However, we are not certain that the bioweapon will work on armored Capitol Police. Several thousand of our elite troops are equipped with captured CP armor from the battles on your soil. We hope that this will prove confusing to the enemy and protective to our troops. Our civilians are being given gas masks and instructions on detecting damage to them. Many also have bomb shelters, as we were recently in an engagement where we expected a nuclear counterattack.
We will accept the offer of the bioweapon, as we hope to discover ways to treat exposure. It is unlikely that we will deploy the weapon on our own soil, however, or use any other weapon of mass destruction. However, we are weighing the possibility of an attack on the Kraven fleet as it approaches.
Two can play at the propaganda game. An armored Kahanistan satellite is being configured for this purpose. Once it is completed, we will broadcast messages to the Kraven people that the Corporation is evil. If they revolt while large numbers of Capitol Police are deployed here, the Kraven forces will have to withdraw to take care of the situation at home.
Signed,
President Mohammed bin Yusuf al-Za'if
He sent the letter and proceeded to get wasted with his secretary...

Automagfreek

Activity at every major Automagfreek port exploded, with thousands of trucks and hundreds of ships moving about hurridly. Vidimir Breathstealer had been in Kraven port for nearly a week without action, but word had quickly reached Dreadfire as soon as the counter offensive began. For now Breathstealer would stay in Kraven territory, while Azrael and Zander would be charged with bringing the AKA to its knees.
Having left the negotiating table, the young Azrael made his way back to Fort Brigg and to his flagship, the Death Rattle. Zander had already taken to sea in the War Nerve, and surrounded by his massive armada he began to steam eastward towards international waters. Azrael would follow a day or so behind, giving him more time to judge the situation and make last minute adjustments.
However, before he left he was greeted personally by Damien at Brigg. He smiled and embraced his son before issuing his final orders and seeing him off. Son, it seems that the AKA will not give into our demands....and the time has come once more for war. However, I herby authorize you to ignore Mandate 77. The rest of Damien's words went unheard, for Mandate 77 was the order issued many years ago to effectively put a leash on Sentinel brutality in the field.
Damien nudged Azrael and snapped him back to his senses. you hear me boy? The Mandate has been lifted. Bring these cowardly dogs to their knees, make them wish they had never crossed swords with the Empire. I will be watching.
With that Azrael bowed respectfully and bid his father farewell. His forces had already been assembled by his lesser ranked officers, and the massive Sentinel force swelled as it struggled to get loaded into thier ships on time. Dreadfire had also informed Azrael that a third and smaller force would set out a day behind him carrying reinforcements and supplies, and to inform Consortium allies of AMF battle plans.
Azrael was quick to oblige, and within the next few hours the second and much larger Freek armada took to the seas, bound for Kahanistan.

At the beach in northwest Kahanistan
Several huge trenches had been dug, some filled with troops, others filled with piranhas or sulfuric acid pits. Woe betide the Kraven or Freekish soldier to fall into one of those.
The entire 5th and 6th Armies of the Republic Guard were mobilized, a force of 200,000 soldiers defending the beach. They were armed with Galil rifles loaded with 5.56mm armor-piercing rounds for use against the heavy armor of the Capitol Police. They also carried Makarov and Tokarev pistols and K-Bar knives for close-quarters combat in the trenches themselves. They had also poured large quantities of napalm on the shorelines themselves. A single WP grenade would turn the soaked area into a raging inferno once the hostile infantry landed.
Huge Patriot missile launchers were set up to target any aircraft in the area. While they could differentiate between the radar signature of a civilian aircraft and a Kraven bomber, civilians were warned against flying near Kahanistan in case the heat-seeking missiles accidentally struck the civilian planes. Kahanistan Border Police constructed makeshift airstrips outside the borders for goods and travelers to enter the country.
Artillery pieces, phallic weapons, many over ten meters long, fired 155mm shells onto the approaching Kraven and Freekish fleets. These guns, hundreds of them, fired explosive shells onto the enemy vessels with great effect in a dense wall of death.

Zander's fleets had braved the choppy seas over the night, and were now nearing the edge of Kahanistan's territorial waters. As the distance to the enemy mainland continued to diminish, sub and fighter patrols were stepped up three fold, and their perimeters widened. A vast defensive net stretched out from the massive aramda for miles in either direction, and Freek LADAR, SONAR, and RADAR continued their active and passive scans for activity.
So far the AMF presence had gone unopposed, although Zander was not ruling anything out. Satellite imagery showed that the enemy had placed a large number of small artillery batteries around the main beach, and had stationed a substantial garrison there as well. The Doujin and Sentinel class Super Dreadnoughts prepared their 25" and 30" guns respectively, loading the breaches with high explosive, rocket assisted projectiles. Missile frigates and assorted battleships readied their missile launchers for anti-land and air attacks, ready to engage in an extended campaign of counter battery fire to weaken the enemy defenses.
Azrael's fleets had taken to the seas several hours before, and were now exiting AMF territorial waters. They would be a day's sail away from Zander, but he had no doubt that Zander could effectively handle the entire campaign by himself. His Sentinel attack force nearly doubled Zander's, swelling into the hundreds of thousands.
Later that day, the warships of Zander came to a grinding halt for several hours, and transmission between the fleets and the AMF mainland were terminated. The ships began to spread their formation out several miles wide, encompassing a large area nearly a half dozen miles wide. Each ship was now in it's attack formation, and moving as one the armada surged forward towards the enemy water boundary that was now within reach.

[ooc: I thought I should repost part of this (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9931660&postcount=124) here.]
Continuing on the current course towards Neoma were a little over a hundred ships and about 60 submarines—a small naval task force bearing two divisions of the 14th Legion, along with a carrier holding 200 planes. The rest of the fleet changed direction, preparing to attack any nations that attempted to intervene. Target number one was Kahanistan.
N Y C had avoided destruction, at least, by joining the peacekeepers, which were no longer a threat of any kind to the Imperium. Kahanistan had not even issued a public apology for the destruction of a carrier and the attack on Neoma. Velkya and other nations had promised or even sent some aid to the anti-Neoman coalition, but they had done nothing else yet, and were not considered threats.
However, even Kahanistan was not going to be a threat in and of itself... as a low-ranking officer soon discovered.
The 2nd Lieutenant, tracking the surrounding area on his screens, watched wide-eyed as dozens, nay hundreds of huge shapes appeared on radar, many miles away but still approaching Kahanistani territory. "What are those?"
"Ships, looks like it anyway," said another lieutenant, coming over to see. "Data here..."
Information printed out on the feeds and the two lieutenants looked it over.
"They appear to come from ... The Kraven Corporation, Automagfreek, and a few other nations..."
"Kraven? I don't seem to recall the relations between them and Kahanistan being all too good at most times."
The first 2nd Lieutenant grinned. "Heheh, understatement? They're at war. Kahanistan is member of an alliance designed specifically to destroy Kraven."
"Wait. Which one is the Imperium siding with?"
"Neither, we're neutral, and would rather not enter an alliance war of such magnitude... as far as I know."
"We should probably let the High Command know about this, it could be important..."
And High Command learned. The vast fleet halted there, in the middle of the sea, as it waited for orders from the Imperium's shores. Once again, and somewhat to Banduria's dissatisfaction, the death sentence would be carried out...by someone else. Soon, new orders would come—either advising the fleet to return home, or to continue to a new target.
Or perhaps, something else.
Kahanistan
14-11-2005, 22:52
As soon as the first of the long artillery pieces fired on the Freekish fleet, a soldier of the Republic Guards radioed the naval and air commands.
"Admiral, we're under attack!"
Defense Minister Abdul-Rahman bin Muhammad, himself an admiral and still carrying the rank of Fleet Admiral, decided to personally assume command of the meager Kahanistan fleet. It wasn't like the fleet would be doing anything else, so the forces available to him would be nearly all of the fleet. He took stock of what he had... eight Yamato-class ships, twenty Montana-class ships, thirty-five Iowas, sixty Ticonderoga cruisers, ten Kirov cruisers, fifty AEGIS destroyers, and about a hundred subs... Certainly the entire Kahanistan fleet, especially supported by MiG strikes and Tomahawk cruise missile barrages from inland, could send the Freeks packing. Useless junk like carriers were pulled ashore and used as weapons launching platforms and mini-fortresses.
Meanwhile, General of the Republic Guard Marcellus Quintus Valens finished praying to Jupiter. He had offered thanks to the god for the boom in Kahanistan's economy, which allowed for an unprecedented military budget. He deployed the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Fighter Fleets, three hundred MiG-29's in all, to attack the Freekish and Kravenoid fleets at sea-skimmingly low altitudes, firing their missiles on the huge Doujins and Sentinels. Targets were, in order of priority, the huge guns of the superdreadnaughts, enemy fighters, and anti-aircraft defenses.
The Kahanistan Air Force rapidly gained altitude after firing most of its missiles into the ships so as to drop their bombs. They then engaged any hostile aircraft with only their machine guns. If they survived, they were to return to base and restock their weapons, and fly another sortie. If crashing into an enemy warship seemed inevitable, the pilots were trained to eject over the sea. They were only a few miles from land and could likely rejoin the defenders... if they weren't killed by artillery of one side or the other or gobbled up by sharks.
Psyker Bearzerkers
14-11-2005, 22:55
The Psyker Bearzerkers were bristling with rage, they had not acted as they wanted in the last war, against their parent nation of TKC and now they wished to show what they had learned and received to the test.
Full scale mobilization against Kahanistan! The capitol police of the Psyker Bearzerkers had only recently arrived from Kraven and were ready to deploy towards Kahanistan in full force. VTOLs and munitions had gone under production in Psyker Bearzerkers, and they had a booming economy to support this war, their placid stance of the past would be broken.
*****
Wayk was emaciated; he had left Black Hive and traveled to Night Glacier on his own; putting Roga Maw in charge of the nation during his absence. With an axe and the clothes on his back, he traveled under the gigantic black glacier and into the illuminated tunnels of the mine-city. Production was similar hear as in was Black Hive. Though the items being produced here were; CP armor and VTOLs.
He walked deranged from mine camp to mine camp. Finally an inhuman CP trooper gave him the information he sought so desperately. As if he didn't care the CP trooper let the half dead Obersadt Marshal into the mine facility.
"Jander!" He walked and examined every miner looking for him.
Jander was looking at him from one level up; next to him was his sister Caulna, and life long mentor, Marik. He saluted them both as he brought a pickaxe with him.
Wayk's eyes were a violent red, and his skin was turning from yellow to a mucky green. "You are next to inherit that damn throne." Wayk's sentences were segmented; he needed all the energy he would be able to muster. "The Capitol Police know what to do. So let us begin." He struggled to talk and he spat and gagged in between words. But he raised his axe and charged flawlessly.
Jander was evading every swing and strike with ease. Jander leaned back, then centered himself, swung his pick axe and buried the sharp spike in Wayk's shoulder blade, pulverizing the bones. He whined and groaned as he fell to his knees. As Jander pulled a knife to finish him, Wayk revealed a grenade missing its pin.
Jander failed to completely protect himself from the blast, and fragments of heated metal tore the side of his face apart.
If she was able to, Caulna would have let loose a scream that would send a chill up the spine of a Capitol Police Trooper, but with her vocal chords torn, from a childhood accident, her mouth simply hung wide and mute, tears running down her face.
As she ran to her fallen brother a Trooper attempted to stop her, but a hammer strike to the neck disabled him as she cradled the burnt and gory visage.
"Ma'am." A squad if troopers were surrounding Caulna, still in tears. "We have Orders to take you to Black Hive." She only rocked back and forth with, what was left of, Jander's head in her arms. "Oberstadt Marshal you are needed in the capitol. The nation is mobilizing for war on Kahanistan and you are needed."
At that she laid Jander down, and mouthed. Take me to Black Hive! Oberstadt Marshal Caulna Pox was ready for retribution, though directed at Kahanistan, the nation's enemy.
Hate the enamy, Love your Nation!
Axis Nova
14-11-2005, 23:49
Lagging somewhat behind the AMF fleet (due to having started later), Axis Nova's own invasion force is flying towards Kahanistan. Sensors of all description probe the sea and air in all directions-- no unpleasent suprises will be allowed to interfere with the gargantuan armada. Even in orbit above, the entire course the fleet is following is well covered by assorted defenses, ready to take down any godrods that attempt to move into position to threaten the fleet.
On the bridge of the destroyer San Juan (which is serving as the flagship of this little fleet), General Ohms flicks his fingers at a comm tech.
"Send a message to this Zander... he's, according to our liason, the man in charge of the fleet up ahead. Nothing serious, just let him know we're coming up behidn him... from what I've heard of the Freeks, they do not appreciate suprises. Also, inquire if they have the capabilities to accept a datalink... if so, we can link them into our radar systems so that they can get a birds-eye view of the battlefield"
"Aye sir."
The comm tech turns to her board and sends the message in text.
On one of the many screens around the bridge, various pictures are shown of things happening in the fleet. Some are from external cameras, and others are from other ships, or recon UAVs, or escort fighters. While the formation is miles wide, it's obvious that it's already a regular airborne D-day. Enough radar and radio signals are flying back and forth in all directions that any birds flying in the area are no doubt feeling distinctly uncomfortable.
Automagfreek
14-11-2005, 23:50
The long range sensors on Zander's surface ships picked up several wings of inbound fighter craft numbering in the hundreds, and within moments the Freek warfleet sprang into action. High in the skies the Freek fighters gained altitude rapidly, and using their radar scopes they sighted in the sea skimming aircraft below and fired their missiles downward. They then broke formation, half of their fighters diving to the ocean below and the other half maintaining their set course. 30mm depleted uranium rounds and medium range 'Hellrage' anti-air missiles were readied for battle, and as each second passed more jets were scrambled from the assorted carrier decks.
The surface ships were quick to answer the enemy salvo, and as soon as the first barrage was detected Zander ordered his electronic jamming systems activated. The pulsating waves of energy would target the enemy radar systems and hopefully throw off the guidance of their missiles, causing them to crash harmlessly into the sea. Simultaniously the four Super Dreadnoughts began an intensive wave of anti-missile fire with assistance from the Freek missile frigates scattered throughout the Imperial formation.
Long range 'Skewer' missile were fired en masse with focused EMP warheads, hoping to knock out huge clusters of enemy missiles that were in close proximity to eachother. Huge trails of smoke filled the sky as missile after missile screamed out of their VLS cells, and as the last of the long range missile were fired, Zander readied his second wave of defenses. His 'Hellrage' advanced AI guided medium range missiles would be next, and they too sprang forth from their containers with great speed. These missiles had an internal AI configuration that would communicate with eachother to determine which targets were priority and had to be destroyed immediately, and which ones were secondary and so on.
Nearly 60 of these misisles were fired as the last of the 'Skewers' took to the skies. The 'Hellrage' could change targets midflight and therefore could be fired at a much greater rate thanks to their independent targeting, and Zander then initiated his third wave of anti-air fire. By now the enemy missile were dangerously close, which was perfect for the third line of missile defense, the fast and short range 'Galdius' class guided missile. These weapons did not have the advance guidance of the 'Hellrage', but instead relied on sheer speed to knock out enemy planes and ordinance. Roughly 50 of these were fired en masse, and as the 'Galdius' missiles took to the skies, CIWS on every ship made ready for anything that made it through.
Zander had detected that the three Doujin class SD's and the one Sentinel class SD were the primary targets, which was exactly what he had hoped for. The Sentinel alone boasted 76 CIWS guns and 44 light cannon mounts that fired SmartFlak, and the Doujin class SD's were armed almost as well. Each of these guns scanned the skies and prepared to destroy any missile that made it through the intense wave of anti-air fire.
The 25" guns on the Sentinel and the Doujins opened fire towards the Kahanistan fleet, sending large plumes of black smoke into the skies as the mammoth rounds screamed through the air. With a range of 55+ miles with rocket assistance, the GPS guided rounds were fired at the enemy capital ships, with target priority decreasing as the enemy ship size decreased. The large guns were quickly reloaded at maximum speed before being fired off again, and a salvo of long range 'Skewer' missiles were fired at the enemy planes and ships alike.
Meanwhile back in the skies, more AMF fighters poured into the heavens, engaging the enemy that was attacking Freek air assets with automatic cannon fire. The freshly launched jets answered this attack with a barrage of 'Hellrage' missiles, and when the distance closed, 30mm DU chaingun fire.
Zander turned to his first mate and demanded a status and damage report, as well as movements of the enemy fighters and ships.
Onboard the Velkya Class SuperDreadnought, Oured.
The bridge was alive with panels, as crewman and officers walked along, mointering targeting screens and sensor readouts. The endless horizon of the Red Sea was visible. The lights of the 40 ship fleet shown brightly in the darkness. Quite a beautiful sight to anyone looking.
The Oured was in the center of this formation, it's powerful LIDAR, SONAR, RADAR, and GPS readouts watching everything within 1,000 miles. It's 1.3 kilometers streched on the open sea, surrounded by dreadnoughts, carriers, and other ships.
Boy, they pissed their pants when the first spy sattlelite passed over the 3 enemy SDs.
High Admiral Rogerson sat in his command chair, mointering a report from High Command. Scrolling down the screen, he thought to himself.
Looks like their sending quite a ton of troops over here. 2 infantry and an armored division...damn...
He closed the report screen, and looked at his comm officer.
"Sir?"
"Ensgin, send the message to all carriers, launch CAP fighters, I want a 50 mile radius around the fleet. Put all Fleet Air Defence Ships on alert as well, I want all AA systems operating immediatly."
The officer responded with a 'Yes sir' and began relaying the message to the fleet.Within 20 minutes, 100 RADF-2 aircraft were patrolling the area around the fleet. The FAD ships armed their hundreds of 30mm CICW guns and SLSAM-4 missile launchers. A roar of a fighter over the bridge signaled that the admiral's orders had been carried out. He then started another order.
"Activate all Angelfire missiles, I want a barrage on the incoming Axis Nova fleet."
"Thats a roger, sir."
"Arm Krimson and Patriot Sqaudrons as well, I want them in the air and armed with ACL (Anti-Carrier Loadout, a mix of anti-shipping missiles and air-to-air missiles, as well as a 30mm TS cannon) and on their way to aid our Kahanistani allies."
Within minutes, the Angelfire pods deep within the Oured began to stir, sliding out into the open. The massive 50ft ballistic missile (conventoinal warhead, don't worry), with a monsturous rocket engine on the tail, became exposed. The Velkyan flag was displayed right before the Tungstan Steel penatrator tip. 5 of these missiles slid into their launchers, ready for the order to launch.
"Sir, AFs are prepped and ready to fire."
Rogerson sat back in his chair.
"Lock the targets."
The weapons officer sent a signal to a sattlelite orbiting high in space. The sattlelite, marked "Kantana" with a Velkyan flag, began to shift into place. The sattlelite then shot out 5 different lasers with differing frequincies into the 5 largest warships into the AN fleet.
"Targets have been locked, sir."
He hesitated at the lives he had in his hands. These 5 missiles had a warhead powerful enough to cause considerable damage to an SD, let alone a conventional warship.
"Let's do this, launch all missiles!"
With a roar, the 5 missiles, now pointed straight up, screamed from their launchers. Traveling at near escape velocity, they streaked upwards to the outer edges of the atmosphere, nearly entering low orbit. The guidence systems locked into the signals of the approaching enemy warships, each targeting a captial ship of it's own. The rockets then deactivated their engines, allowing the rocket to point straght down towards the enemy fleet.
With a loud boom, the engines restarted, and the 5 missiles shot down at nearly Mach 7 towards their targets.
There was hell to pay.
OOC: Here's a diagram of how the Angelfire works. Sorry about the quality, it's really bad.

Unfortunately for the Velkyan forces, they would now find out what, exactly, the refits that had been done to the airships in port were.
Lenses on the tops of the tw destroyers and three carriers targeted extend outwards on armored universal mounts, and a laser beam pierces through the sky to illuminate the incoming missiles, ionizing the air along their paths.
A few tenths of a second later, as the targeting computers confirm the lockon, a series of five thundering crashes sounds across the fleet as massive amounts of power are fed to the Agni anti-missile electrolasers, sending gigantic discharges of electricity along the ionized paths created by the lasers, striking the missiles with artificial lightning bolts of immense power, enough to fry electronics and ignite warheads and fuel.
Seven fireballs dot the skies over the fleet as it sails on.
While the Velkyan fleet has the potential to be an annoyance, General Ohms is obviously not interested in diverting assets to attack it at this time; as he has the mobility advanage, he can just leave the Velkyans behind and proceed to his primary targets: the Air Force Base near Al-Quamar in eastern Kahanistan and the Najaster International Airport in the capital area...

And just how can you hit a missile that is traveling at over Mach 7?!

DEMOCRATIC SOVIET REPUBLIC OF KAHANISTAN
Ministry of Defense
As-salaam alaikum bismillah! (Peace upon you in the name of God!)
The Government of Kahanistan is most deeply grateful for the five million troops that your nation has so generously offered to commit. However, we must ask why you feel that your own nation does not need any defenses.
If your nation comes under attack from Kraven again while your homefront is unguarded, I fear that we will only be able to offer limited assistance in the form of missile strikes against the enemy fleet, and may even be forced to deploy nuclear weapons in your defense. That would escalate the conflict beyond what most in Central Command think is wise.
Kahanistan's thriving arms manufacturing industry will be able to arm your troops and more, in fact we could likely arm all of Xirnium as well as Kahanistan, but we must be assured that Xirnium is safe.
Signed,
General Abdullah Hassan al-Ghazi
Deputy Defense Minister
From: The High Ecclesiarchy of Holy Xirnium
To: Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan
Greetings noble allies!
In answer to your queries we reply with the following statements:
(a) Holy Xirnium is far from defenceless. Even if all of these troops were at this moment abroad we would still maintain a ten million strong army at home (which is twice the size that the army was during the Xirnium War, and much better equiped and trained) with the possibility for the mobilisation, arming, equipping and training of vastly larger amounts should the need arise.
Xirnium has also vastly increased its WMD capabilities as a means of deterrence.
(b) Holy Xirnium feels that the defence of your nation, though necessary on the basis of treaty obligations which the High Ecclesiarchy holds dear, is also of vital importance to the security of the Holy Empire itself. The war for Xirnium occurs on every battlefield that Kraven defiles. Should your nation fall, the Consortium shall shift its attention to the next member of the Anti-Kraven Alliance, and thence the next. Eventually, Xirnium's turn will inevitably come. It is therefore of vital importance to Holy Xirnium that the Kraven filth be stopped here and now at your gates.
We must point out, however, that such a massive contribution will take many, many months to complete. At the moment we are focusing on only sending over Crusader Expeditionary Army Group Kahanistan B, and the timetable for its entire transport is believed to be some time (we calculate several months at least for total transport).
We reaffirm our commitment to stand by your beleaguered nation unto death.
The High Ecclesiarchy
OCC: I've reviewed this thread and noticed that there are flying battleships armed with laser weaponry and other such fanciful devices. I'm not sure I want to roleplay at that tech level (knowing how it so easily descends into OCC fighting) so until I decide on a course of action I'm excluding myself from the war
IC: The High Supreme Court of Xirnium in an unprecedented move today ordered that the Xirniumite executive did not have the authority under s17 Holy War Act 1237 to commit troops abroad. The High Ecclesiarchy is expected to launch an appeal contending that there exists such a right at common law, but the outcome of this is far from certain.
Most jurists are of the opinion that the High Ecclesiarchy's case is without merit.

DEMOCRATIC SOVIET REPUBLIC OF KAHANISTAN
Office of the President
The Government of Kahanistan notes with regret the decision of the High Supreme Court of Xirnium to withhold military forces. We request that we may send a representative to any hearing that is held on this matter.
We believe that a Kahanistan official may be able to persuade the High Supreme Court to reverse its ruling.

From: Supreme High Court of Holy Xirnium

Mr President
It is the opinion of this Court that it would not be either appropriate nor beneficial for your nation to send representatives to this appeal. The Court is debating issues of law and not fact, and as such we can have little regard for the political outcomes of our judicial decision.
This case, is far more important then any war and goes to the very heart of concepts such as parliamentary sovereignty, separations of powers, government by conventions and the Xirniumite common law. Indeed, it concerns the very nature of the relationship between the various organs of the Xirniumite government and between the government and the people themselves. Since it is a technical case based on the minutiae of Xirniumite Common Law we fear that there will not be much which your representative might add.
Best Regards
Lord High Justice Gryphor

- Meanwhile, back in the Kraven homeland -
Field Marshall Bauker observed destruction of the remains of Army Group K, annihilated some time earlier by Velkyan orbital guns. Numerous combat engineers, assisted by Stahlkörpe units, were hurriedly planting massive explosives over the shattered bodies of the Peacemakers and Partisans. What was capable of salvage had already been removed; the rest would be destroyed to prevent capture or analysis by foreign entities.
"How much longer?"
Bauker asked his liasion. The iguana on his shoulder seemed just as interested in the proceedings as he was.
"The engineering battalion has reported that the operation will be completed in six hours. We're taking special care to ensure that nothing will remain in operable or recoverable condition."
The liasion reported from outside the half-track.
"Good. Make sure double charges are planted on the AI cores; nothing must remain of those."
"And the prototype?"
Bauker quirked an eyebrow.
"Ah, yes. That. Indeed, schedule the prototypes to be dropped on a beacon after we've cleared out."
"I'll have the beacon set up posthaste."
"Good."
Bauker pulled out his electronic binoculars and zoomed in on one Peacemaker's husk. A pair of assault suits, guided by an engineering team, were dumping explosives into a rend in its armor where it had sustained a direct hit from an orbital gun platform. The binoculars' artificial periphial motion detectors alerted him to something moving quickly to his right. A soldier on a motorcycle, coat flapping behind him, was making great haste for the Marshall's half track. Kicking dust behind it, it made short work of the hill the Marshall had parked on.
"Marshall, sir! New information!"
"What is it?"
The soldier stepped off his motorcycle and produced a document in a rolled tube, which he held up to the half track's capola. Bauker reached down and took it from him, opened the end of the tube, and removed the document.
"I see..."
"Sir, what does it say?"
The liasion asked. The trooper waited patiently while Bauker continued reading.
"Communique from Supreme Command. Axis Nova has relayed us further data onn the matter. Seems the Anti-Kraven members have called off their assault for the most part. We're moving on to Kahanistan."
"Shall I call off the demolition efforts?"
"Negative, that is to proceed on schedule."
He looked to the liasion.
"We'll leave a regiment behind to continue mopup operations; the Kraven defense ministry will assist them in their efforts. I'll leave the exact units to your discretion."
"Understood, sir!"
The liasion signaled for his subordinates to begin carrying out the Marshall's orders. Bauker then turned to the trooper on the motorcycle.
"Relay the mobilization orders to Field Headquarters. Also, 'It' will be handed over to the appropriate Kraven authorities. Time is of the essence."
"It shall be done, Marshall."
The soldier revved his bike, then took off the way he came.
"Kahanistan, eh? Quite an ironic place to move the theater to..."
He stroked his chin for a few moments, then prodded the half track's driver.
"Get me a line to General Hassler and Colonel Nouls. Their experience will be invaluable in the coming campaign."

The Kahanistan Defense Minister, on his flagship RKS Defender, a refitted Yamato-class warship and the closest thing in the Kahanistan Navy to a superdreadnaught, watched in horror as most of the MiG's were shot down before even opening fire. He noticed, however, that some of them had managed to inflict damage to parts of the superdreadnaughts.
An incoming missile struck the Defender in its hull. "Admiral, we have a hull breach."
Admiral Bin Muhammad ordered his fleet to rush the Freekish troops. "Destroy the Sentinel, that's your priority! And radio General Valens, tell him most of his fleet was shot down, and next time to send his fleet in a wider dispersal pattern."
The first officer went to the radio. Kahanistan Air Command, this is the RKS Defender, most of our air cover has been neutralized, recommend sending more MiG's, this time in a wider dispersal pattern so one missile can't shoot them all down. Our fleet will deal with the SD's, you take care of the other capital ships. Fleet out.
------
General Valens listened in horror. Jupiter, protect us from the invaders. He deployed five fleets this time, the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th Fighter Fleets. Well, we have some information on their fleet now, a bigger air force and some superior tactics might win the day here.
Five hundred MiG's ripped through the sky in several waves. They were to target carriers first, then transports, then battleships. Kahanistan would probably lose most of its fleet to the battleships, but Kahanistan wouldn't be invading anyone anytime soon and only needed them for defense. And by the time the Kahanistan fleet was destroyed, the Freekish and Kraven fleets would be destroyed too.
------
Over the skies of Al-Qamar, Kahanistan
The base commander, Major General Brutus Licinius Maximus, watched in anguish as the traitorous Axis Nova forces deployed airships over Kahanistan. Somehow I don't think they're friendly. He ordered the base to fire Tomahawks onto the airships. He himself had tried to have shaped charges put on the missiles, but Command had said they didn't have the money. We have a bigger defense budget than Kraven, for God's sake. The only reason they're this powerful is that their Law and Order budget, if Intel had it right, was combined with defense to fund the legions of Capitol Police. Kahanistan, on the other hand, was democratic and its Law and Order budget was shit. Freedom is good. Freedom just isn't free. Freedom has to be paid for in our defense budget, don't they know anything in Command? Or else it gets paid for in the blood of innocent men and women.

Zander was surprised to have gotten the report that most of the enemy fighters were shot down, while his own assets had sustained light damage. The trimaran hulls that made up the mainbody of the large SD hulks could take some severe punishment, and each of them had plenty of life left in them. The Warchief's first mate hollared that the enemy fleet was preparing to do an all out rush against their postion. Zander's quick thinking mind sprang into action, and he ordered a more intensive missile barrage as well as concentrated naval cannon fire.
The larger 25" guns on board the three Doujins and the one Sentinel SD reloaded and turned several degrees to their east. As the mammoth emplacements locked into position they fired off an ear shattering salvo of armor piercing, rocket assisted shells with a high explosive payload. The reinforced heads on the shell would allow it to pierce through the enemy hull before detonating, therefore causing many times more damage.
The smaller battleships joined in the barrage with their 18" guns, also firing the same rocket assisted projectiles. The air surrounding the Freek naval column was filled with plumes of smoke from cannon and missile fire, and Zander used it to mask his movement and spread his formation out even wider. His corvettes and frigates took point and continued thier massive barrage of anti-air and anti-ship weapons, hoping to destroy the enemy with their superior range and firepower.
The SD's that made up the backbone of the AMF convoy had a mind boggling range of some 55+ miles, and as ordered before the campaign against the enemy capital ships continued. The Doujins suddenly changed targets and began firing their large 25" guns at the enemy aircraft carriers, using GPS to help steer the rounds right into the middle of the carrier's runway. The Sentinel on the other hand continued its relentless assault against the larger craft, with the smaller vessles in the fleet would attack the enemy destroyers, cruisers, frigates, and so on.
Zander had also ordered his submarines to advance and prepare to fire their torpedos as the enemy came closer. As they made their way several miles out from the armada, Zander ordered them to halt movement and remain silent and passive. The entire Freek armada then started to move backwards at nearly full speed. Sensors indicated a large enemy air group was approaching, and intel revealed that the craft were more MiG fighters.
Knowing that most of these MiGs were coming from the nearby Kahanistan mainland, he began pulling his ships back to reduce the amount of time each enemy fighter could be airborne before needing to return for fuel. Zanders planes on the other hand continued filling the skies from the assorted carrier decks as well as the SD decks. Their formations were tight and close to the fleet, and they circled overhead in preparation for another massive dogfight. Hundreds of CIWS guns and short range 'Gladius' missile stood by to help cripple the enemy air presence while the Freek pilots took care of business overhead.
However, another salvo of 'Skewer' missiles outfitted with EMP warheads were fired towards the enemy aircraft, this time in much greater number and much wider proximity. Zander ordered them fired in unison and in large waves, with smaller 'Hellrage' and 'Gladius' missiles ready to fire both EMP and conventional warheads. His submarines that were now sitting passively under the seas made ready to fire their own 'Hellrage' anti-air missiles, but they would have to wait until the enemy fighters were closer in proximity before they could engage.
The unrelenting attack against the inbound Kahanistan fleet continued on the surface, with more and more 'Skewer' missiles being fired at the enemy ships alongside the crushing naval gun fire. They were programmed to attack from different altitudes, with some reaching their maximum altitude while others skimmed the choppy ocean waves. Supply ships took the time to begin restocking the missile frigates and battleships with more missiles and shells while the devastating Freek attack continued without pause.
Sir, here they come!
Kahanistan

In the air, some of the wing commanders noticed that many of the Freekish ships were moving away. They didn't know whether they were trying to stretch the Republic Guard's fuel supply or simply were retreating in the face of fierce resistance.
One of them radioed to the fleet. "Defense Minister, the Freekish fleet SEEMS to be retreating. Over."
The RKS Defender had by now taken serious damage from the enemy battleships, the MiG's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikoyan_MiG-29) doing a good job at keeping the enemy warplanes away from the fleet. It had lost nearly half of its guns and was now rapidly taking on water.
Bin Muhammad decided to ram the Sentinel. If we can put that monstrosity out of commission... or even better, capture it... He ordered full power to the already overtaxed engines to charge into the Sentinel. If he could put his crew aboard the Sentinel... he could make a major addition to the Kahanistan Republic Navy.
In the air, the MiG's only had a combat radius of 700 km, and it was 255 km before they even got to the sea. They would have to restock their weapons more often than their fuel as it was, and many didn't survive to restock either, though this fleet sustained fewer losses than the first due to less densely concentrated forces. And this time, waves of cruise missiles were pursuing the fleet as it moved away... just in case they weren't retreating. If they surrendered, then the barrage would stop.

The enemy fleet was now dangerously close, and all indications were that the enemy was concentrating on the single Sentinel class SD. This was the signal to the submariens to begin their underwater attack run on the approaching enemy ships. Dozens of guided torpedos screamed out from the numerous launching bays, slicing the water and heading directly towards the inbound ships.
As the underwater attack commenced, the four Super Dreadnoughts lowered their guns and fired point blank into the enemy ranks. The devastating 25 inch, high explosive shells would surely cause utter destruction at this range, and the heat was poured on as the gaps between friend and foe decreased. The 'Hellrage' and 'Galdius' missiles continued to strike at the much larger and slower cruise missiles, which were intended to strike land targets and not well defended naval assets. Each SD alone packed nearly 100 CIWS, and in addition to the several CIWS emplacements on each and every ship, the air was filled with tens of thousands of 30mm depleted uranium rounds at any given time.
In the clouds the invisible shockwaves of EMP rounds continued to dominate the skies, while friendly missiles packing conventional payloads snuck in inbetween EMP detonations. The campaign in the air would be intense, but with increasing fleet support and with more fighters taking to the skies each second, Zander was not concerned.
However, he laughed out loud as he watched the enemy vainly try to infiltrate his ranks. The enemy ships were now being blasted by every single AMF warship, thanks to the the close proximity of Kahanistani ships. The 8 Iowa class battleships that served as support craft poured on a heap of 16" cannon fire, aimed directly at the hull of each enemy ship. With the 25" rounds continuing to scream from the SD's massive guns, hope it seemed would be all but gone for the Kahanistan navy.
Freek submarines continued to prowl unopposed through the waters, firing more and more torpedos as the battle raged on. Not only would the sheer concussion of each explosion be devastating to the enemy ships, the air pocket generated by the detonation would literarlly lift the ship out of the water. As it slammed back into the water, the forces exerted upon the metal skeleton would be tremendous, and the ship would be likely to break it's own spine.
Short range anti-ship weapons were now being employed, such as kinetic penetrators and very short range, high explosive missiles. But their effect on the battle would be limited, as the large naval gunfire would surely be the deciding factor in the battle.
Kahanistan
16-11-2005, 13:06
It was all but lost for the Kahanistan fleet. As the flagship took missile after missile, the Defense Minister commanding the fleet dispatched a desperate message to the mainland and to all AKA allies.
"This is Kahanistan Defense Minister Abdul-Rahman bin Muhammad. The Kahanistan Republic Navy is almost entirely sunk or seriously damaged. The flagship itself is sinking under the missiles. Our submarines are outnumbered at least ten to one. The Air Force is bombing the Freekish ships with only moderate success."
The Defense Minister then grimly joined the crew of his ships in boarding the lifeboats that were being rapidly deployed. It looks like the entire fleet is concentrating their fire on this one ship... then again we were making a run at the Sentinel.
Aboard the lifeboat, he watched sadly as his prized flagship sank into the murky waters of the sea. Overhead, the MiG's were flying overhead, some engaging the Freekish warplanes, others bombing the carriers to deny air superiority, and far fewer engaging the larger battleships. With his radio, he ordered all surviving ships to make a last stand at the beach. He needed their guns for artillery defenses. He cursed the Republic Guards for using 155 mm guns as coastal defenses. If I survive, I'm going to lobby the Supreme Soviet to spring for some bigger guns... 600mm should do the trick. Where is this defense budget going?
Part of the problem was that Kahanistan's military was primarily designed for invasive procedures, helping out nations that needed it, and was poorly prepared for fighting a defensive war on its own soil. Also, the Navy got the shaft in personnel, only five percent of the total military, or about 450,000 sailors in about 150 ships. Now most of them were rafting back to Kahanistan, being eaten by sharks, or had drowned before they could evacuate their sinking ships.
Automagfreek

Zander had noticed that the Kahanistani forces finally realized the error of concentrating on a single target, and the battle further intensified. Several of the carriers sustained light to moderate damage, while other assorted frigates and cruisers had been damaged or sunk. Though he had lost several ships and Freek aircraft were beginning to fall from the skies in a burning heap, his losses were still nothing compared to the enemy.
He noted that the enemy was also mounting a retreat for the coast, hoping to draw the Freeks in close to allow their meager 155mm weapons to engage. Surely they would be a nuisance when the time came for the mighty Sentinels to take to the shore, but Azrael was practically within reach of Zander's embattled units, and things would reach another level once he arrived.
Freek pilots continued to fall prey to the sheer numbers of Kahanistani jets. While fleet support was unrelenting in their efforts to down the MiG intruders, the pilots in the air were beginning to feel the effects. While additional support continued to lift off and join the melee, the AMF pilots had to change tactics in order to survive.
While they had lured the enemy fighters in close enough for fleet support, their numbers were too great and formation too wide. More and more missiles took to the skies from the ships below, and Zander ordered his pilots to do something unorthodox. They were to fire all their missiles as quickly as possible and attempt to score as many hits as they could, and instead of returning to restock they were to then engage point blank with 30mm cannon fire. In addition, they were to double and triple team each Kahanistani fighter that roamed unchecked across the AMF armada.
Freek ships were able to render much of the enemy weapons ineffective, but many still found their mark. To fix this Zander instructed his pilots on what to do and watched as the skies were filled with even greater smoke trails from the air to air launched missiles. Several fists of AMF fighters began following their orders, shooting their on board cannons relentlessly and doing their best to dodge incoming hostile fire.
The sky was illuminated with the tracers of thousands of depleted uranium rounds, and the Freek pilots pushed their planes and indeed themselves to the limits. Azrael would be arriving soon, and his fresh ships, subs, and planes would surely tip the scales as soon as he met up with Zander.

In the Defense Ministry headquarters, Deputy Defense Minister General Abdullah Hassan al-Ghazi watched the battle unfold on his satellite monitor. The Air Force is giving a good account of itself, but they're getting pulverized now... and what's left of the Navy is preparing for a last stand on the beach.
He ordered the Kahanistan fighters to retreat. At the same time, he ordered the Patriot missile batteries already near the shoreline to prepare to intercept anything that wasn't a MiG that might pursue them, and more SAM batteries to be hauled in from the mainland and brought out of storage. While the base commanders were at it, they were ordered to take ALL of the surface-to-air missile batteries out of storage and defend the bases and nearby cities. "And see how much nerve gas we still have!" he ordered the Imperial Marine and Republic Guard base commanders.
Nerve gas is not that effective against ships, but the general wanted to know if he could defeat the invading landing force with the 200,000 Republic Guards on the shoreline...
Axis Nova
16-11-2005, 19:37
While cruise missiles make poor SAMs at best, several of them manage to slip through the solid walls of defensive fire put out by the ships of the fleet, and several transports along with three corvettes pinwheel out of formation, dropping towards the earth below. Those transports carrying Admiral A-1s simply crater; the others crash and begin to burn as their damaged fusion reactors vent plasma throughout their broken bodies.
Massive bomb bay doors begin to open on ships all across the fleet, and munitions of all types begin to fall onto the city below.
Napalm; 500, 1000, and 2000 pound bombs; cluster munitions; FAEs: almost every type of ground attack weapon in the Axis Nova inventory begins to rain down upon the city.
The lower guns on the assorted skyships join the fray as well, sending HE cannister rounds raining down, releasing flourishing explosions wherever they hit.
The intent is obviously nothing less than to cause as many civilian casualties as possible.
As an afterthought, a small swarm of anti-emissions missiles are fired out to seek and destroy the attack radars used to direct Tomahawks to attack the airships.
A number of ships break off from the fleet and begin to circle over the city, raining down death and destruction, while the rest continue towards the airbase. Ground attack UAVs are launched ahead to attack the base's defensive positions, in preparation for smashing down the defenses.

Over Al-Qamar, eastern Kahanistan
The enormous airships moved over the city, bombing civilian population centers. Throughout the city, more than two million men, women, and children were roasted alive by the relentless bombing.
The retreating Kahanistan Air Force, some five hundred MiG's, noted the city under attack. They opened fire on the airships with machine guns, air-to-air missiles, and when they got above the ships they simply dropped bombs. They were going to expel the Base Masters of Treachery from their homeland if it killed them.
Kahanistan had made peace with the Ottoman Alliance after suffering far fewer casualties, but they had had nothing to gain by continuing to fight the Ottomans, there was no reason to keep fighting. But Kahanistan would never forgive betrayal from one they had considered an ally, especially if the treacherous Axis Nova forces seemed hell-bent on murdering millions of civilians. Kahanistan would never surrender to these imperialist gangsters.
More Tomahawks and Patriots fired on the airships, giving the MiG's time to break contact and head for the main air base and refuel and restock. General Valens had ordered the heaviest anti-air defenses to be placed on the air bases and that the air force itself spend as much time in the air as it possibly could. He had also ordered the last of Kahanistan's ICBM's to be packed with military high explosives and fired onto Kraven and Axis Nova's largest military bases.

Sir, the enemy has begun their retreat, and The Advocate closes in!
Azrael was now visible on Zander's scopes, and the mammoth warfleet that had so far decimated Kahanistani forces began to advance. The enemy ships had prepared to make a last stand near the shores of the Kahanistan mainland, but Zander made sure that they would not last long. With the air battle won he decided to ground most of his planes and keep a minimal protective force in the skies, and his massive SD's began to fire their long range 25" guns once more.
While the Doujin's continued firing at the remains of the enemy fleet from a safe distance, the Sentinel class began firing at land targets. Using real time satellite imagery, the mammoth guns were directed towards enemy gun emplacements, SAM sites, troops garrisons, and so on. Zander's missile frigates began to fire relentlessly towards the shore, but their targets were much different. Long range 'Broadsword' cruise missiles were fired high into the atmosphere and sighted in nearby roadways and bridges as targets.
The frigates also began to fire at nearby enemy power plants and airfields, but roads and bridges were of top priority. Missile after missile screamed out of its VLS tube, taking ot the high skies and preparing to strike with great precision and speed. The other vessles in the fleet began tightening their formation and making room for Azrael's larger force. The up and coming 406th Legion would be coming with, and though the Fallen were new to the AMF military ranks, they had already gained a fearsome reputation.
The bombardment of enemy ships and ground positions continued without pause, and Zander also took the time to resupply his vessels for the campaign ahead. Though he had began advancing deep into enemy waters, he would soon halt his movements and continue the shelling for many hours until Azrael arrived.
On the various transports and landing craft, tens of thousands of Sentinels prepared to feel the sting of battle once more. They had been brooding for action for months since the conclusion of Operation: Hellfire, and on board their craft they began to stir....eager to plunge into the flames of war once more.

The fully awake and aware networked point defense grid of the fleet has a hot reception awaiting the Kahanistani air force, as air to air missiles, gunfire, Peregrine air superiority UAVs, and electrolaser shots spray outwards in all direction at the incoming aircraft and missiles.
The skies over Al-Quamar become even more filled with fire than they already are as the battle rages on.
However, the MiG pilots who manage to make it through the barrage to fire their air to air missiles and cannons at the skyships notice something almost immediately: their weapons just arn't penetrating the armor on the skyships.
The bombs have somewhat more success: while the MiGs flying upwards directly over the fleet are horribly exposed to fire, it simply proves impossible for the wall of missiles and gunfire to stop them all, and two frigates along with four more transports and three corvettes lose altitude or simply break apart, falling to the earth below as 500-pound bombs smash them like a child flicking an insect with his finger. Still, these losses are mere pinpricks against a fleet of this size, and it continues to fly onwards towards it's target, dispensing death in all directions.
Meanwhile, the Falcon ground attack craft continue to close on the air base, their PFR rendering them more or less invisible to the Kahanistani early warning radars...
- Somewhere out to sea -
Two squadrons (thirty-six) shiny new Arbiter II bombers rocketed across the sky, leaving dozens of thin contrails behind them. Kahanistan would soon be visable over the Earth's curvature.
"Commander, we'll be over the target in sixteen minutes."
"Good. Have the Axis Nova gunships already penetrated their airspace?"
"It would seem so."
"Right. Get a direct line to them; we'll need specific targets. After we have recieved coordinates, we'll proceed to administering the attack."
"Understood, Commander."
The navigator began calling up the allied frequency.
Kahanistan

In the beach garrison, northwestern Kahanistan
General Robert Hoffman, the garrison commander, noticed incoming enemy missiles coming in, chasing what was left of the Kahanistan Navy.
"Sir, hostile forces landing on the beach!" A major holding a rocket launcher reported.
"Raise all 155 mm artillery guns, target the landing craft first, then target any ships that are within range." He radioed the SAM defense. "They've grounded most of their surviving planes, pour some Patriots on the rest. And do something about those Douchebags, a few dozen Tomahawks should sink them. Take care of the Sentinel too, it's getting annoying."
The surviving ships fired their huge guns onto the Doujins and Sentinel, and launched missiles on them, but their main function seemed to be to absorb missiles fired inland. Some of the SAM's and cruise missile batteries were damaged, but most of the closer targets had expended much of their ammunition against the fighters and bombers before being destroyed.
General Hoffman radioed the Central Command. "We're getting hammered out here, do we have nerve gas or not?"
"We're still trying to find out if our storage has any, it's not exactly the first thing that appears in an inventory search."
"Shit."
But General Valens had better news. He would deploy all that was left of the Kahanistan Air Force in two quick strikes. One against the Axis Nova air fleet and the other against the Freek Navy.
He ordered that 2,000 MiG-29's bomb the Axis Nova forces and 2,000 strike the Freeks. This was to be a quick bombing strike, not a suicide mission. The warplanes were to attack their targets at the lowest possible altitude, drop their 3,500 kilogram bombs, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikoyan_MiG-29) then retreat without launching another attack. They were then to patrol the skies around Kahanistan, letting the enemy come to them.
Hopefully, they could make the Axis Nova forces see the errors of treachery, and what would happen to those who betrayed their allies.
Meanwhile, at the Freek fleet, the ships were being swarmed with a new and massive assault from dozens of waves of fighter-bombers. General al-Ghazi had warned Dreadfire himself that Automagfreek was doomed to Hell if they opposed Kahanistan and allied with Kraven. Hundreds, perhaps even over a thousand, bombs were dropped onto the Freekish fleet. Those that struck munitions stores or fuel tanks went up in flames resembling those of Hell and conveying images of damnation to the Kahanistan Air Force pilots who were attacking the fleet.

Unfortunatly, the Kahanistani forces had forgotten to factor in two things: the limited fuel capacity of the MiG-29, and the limited maneuverability imparted when a 3500 kg bomb is hanging off the airframe, further limited by the fuel problem.
As such, 220 more Peregrines head out to engage them. Even with the drastic disparity in numbers, the MiGs would be forced to either jettison their bombs to maneuver, or suffer being downed in massive numbers.
A little suprise is deployed against the formation as well, launching out ahead of the Peregrines: twelve E-bomb missiles, sending EMPs washing across the enemy formation.
Bridge of V.S.S. Oured
"Sir, Angelfires are ineffective!"
Admiral Rogerson cursed to himself.
"I want those two sqaudrons in the air immeditatly. Arm with AHAT (Anti-Heavy Air Target, used for knocking out airships, large bombers, and large transports) loadout, and send them against the Axis airship fleet."
The officer communicated with an unknown voice for a moment.
"Yes sir, Flight Deck report they'll be in the air and at transit altitude within 10minutes!"
Rogerson's expression hardened.
"I want a massive strike on the AMF fleet, all of the Red Sqaure packages opening up, and all cruise missiles out. Once fired, reload immediatly."
"Targets, sir?"
The Admiral thought for a moment.
"Carriers, destoryers, flakships, anything that can can damage to our aircraft, preferably."
"Yes sir, we'll open fire ASAP."
Meanwhile, onboard the Oured's flight deck.
Large HE missiles, their tungsten tips shining in the light of the hanger, zoomed on small trucks towards the 24 waiting aircraft. Literally hundreds of people moved about. Some checked fuel lines, some loaded the aircraft with arms, some ran checks on the electronics. Then, the pilots walked in. Half had white and blue helmets with their callisigns written on them, and the other half had fiery red ones. Partiot and Krimson, respectivly. They climbed into their fighters, turning the jet engines on, and began to taxi to the lifts. Once the first aircraft had seated itself on the magnetic catapult, it began final checks before takeoff, making sure that the aircraft was ready. Seconds later, the pilot recived the call.
"Krimson 1, ready to launch on Cat 3!"
"Roger that, tower, activate Cat."
The magnetic catapult roared foward, carrying the fighter with it. The cat then reached it's end and turned off, catapulting the fighter into the air. The twin jet engines then kicked in, sending the aircraft up to 10,000 feet in no time at all. Within 5 minutes, the whole flight was in the air. It was only a few minutes before they were at transit altitude (100,000 feet, these are PMT fighters). They then made their way towards the Axis fleet at nearly Mach 7, with SCRAM jets screaming.
Meanwhile, as the LMF-3s continued on their flight paths to the AN fleet, the VLS and HLS pods on the Velkyan fleet came alive, launching tens of thousands of missiles at the AMF fleet. They were spaced about 100 feet across, so the whole formation of cruise missile, Angelfires, long-range anti-shipping missiles, and decoy rockets speed at hypersonic speeds was miles long.
"Commander, our signal from the Axis Nova fleet has been returned."
"And?"
"We're to divert from land targets and attack the enemy fleet at these coordinates."
"I see... I question the logic of employing our prototypes against surface ships, but whatever. Allright, program in the targets and let's make haste, gentlemen."
The Arbiter IIs' computers went to work, using their powerful HEADGEAR systems to pinpoint the individual vessels of the Velkyan fleet. The carriers would go first; the rest would, assumedly, be handled by the Axis Nova airfleet. The bomber squadrons began banking to the east.
Under their wings, the Middleman drones began taking on fuel from the bomber's secondary tanks. Their sophisticated guidance systems began coming online, and were soon filled with information regarding their targets. From there, they would only communicate from each other, providing multiple angles and correction to the location of the targeted vessels.
"Drone fuelling is complete. Preparing to fire."
"Very well. You may fire at will."
Explosive bolts seperated the Middleman drones from the Arbiter IIs; they free-fell for a few seconds as their scramjets sucked in air. An instant later they were off, their engines having the necessary air current to achieve ignition. Nearly three hundred drones screamed ahead, quickly accelerating to upwards of Mach 10.
The bombers themselves then began closing formation; their own munitions would be deployed once they had gotten within missile range.

OOC: Um about this closed issue, It shouldnt be closed because people have allies who dont want to sit around and watch there allies go down in flames so open it up please.
The Velkyan FAD ships and the Pathfinder dreadnoughts, their powerful scanners scanning the heaven (oops), locked on to the Arbiters and their drones. Launching a symphony of hundreds of AtA missiles at the aircraft, the ships began to pour tons of coordianted lead into the skies, shooting down dozens of drones. Bright explosions filled the night sky as the munitions in the drones exploded, detonating other missiles as well. The few dozen drones that leaked through the first layer, however little, were targeted by the Jalik II's batteries. Destorying yet more, the 50 drones left faced one barrier, the actual carrier defenses and the Oured's cannons.
Only a good dozen drones made it past the intese barrage, striking the carriers of the fleet. 4 slammed into the Oured, knocking out a Angelfire platrom and some VLS arrays. The other missiles impacted the carriers
It was a mess. The Fanatia was hit right on the flight deck, nailing a pile of bombs. They exploded in a cliched flourish, putting quite a large hole in the flight deck, and destorying a few Halbereds nearby. The Bolter was struck by several of the drones, and she was quite badly damaged, and the captain was considering offloading the aircraft and abandoning ship. The Claw came out best of all, with a pristine hole, right in the waterline of her third hull. She was taking on water fast, but her specialized tanks would support her until she could be repaired.
Meanwhile, 3 flights (18) of RADF-2s climbed at hypersonic to intercept the enemy bombers. Slowing, they began to fire their cannons guns into the underbellies of the bombers, as they rolled to avoid any incoming CICW fire.
As the RADFs engaged the Arbiters, the 2 sqaudrons of LMF-3s approached the AN fleet. Getting within range, they accelrated to Mach 3, and fired their HE missiles, 144 in all. The aircraft then began turning for home, a fient for any enemy fighters that would emerge to oppose the sqaudrons.
And high above even this battle, a trio of huge, black aircraft moved swiftly through the night, approaching Kahinistani airspace. On the side of the aircraft, in white letters, read:

Zander's fleet halted its movement as fire from the remaining Kahanistani navy began to find its mark on his ships. His sensors also noted that another large wing of Kahanistan fighter-bombers were en route, and they had already targeted several of the ships that had taken point. He also starred in bewilderment as the enemy once again began firing 155mm guns at seemingly nothing, for Zander's transports and landing craft were still loading and preparing for deployment.
Meanwhile, the anti-air defenses of Zander's fleet were taxed once more, this time his CIWS and SmartFlak system would have to bear more of the burden. With the massive wave of enemy missiles closing in, Zander ordered another intensive barrage of focused EMP rockets and artillery rounds. The electomagnetic pulses generated by the detonation would effect a fair radius, and Zander had ordered his weapons to be deployed in a staggered formation. The goal was to space the missiles and rounds just far enough apart to have maximum effect with as little munition expense as possible.
The SmartFlak systems also engaged, sending radar guided flak rounds into the air with great speed and volume. The sky was blackened with the explosions of each round, and millions of fragments of metal flew through the sky at any given moment. With so much material in the air it created a literal shrapnel blanket that would wreak havok on any plane of missile that came too close.
On the other side of the flak barrage, Zander ordered what fighters he had in the air to intercept the Kahanistani fighter-bombers while more jets took to the skies. Refueled and reloaded, the fresh AMF fighters took to the heavens with great fury, their tempers beginning to flare as they engaged their targets.
The Velkyan fleet in the area would soon find itself under the same 25" gunfire that decimated the Kahanistan navy. This time smaller vessels were targeted, such as missile frigates and other light to medium attack craft. A single 25" shell had the potential to decimate an entire frigate, as the powerful explosion was likely to ignite the enemy's ammunition magazine. Not only were Zander's SD's firing upon the Velkyan fleet, but as promised Azrael had arrived.
The Death Rattle was at the helm of the second and larger AMF strike force, and his additional four Doujin SD's began to engage the Velkyan navy as well. The enemy soon found theselves under intense counter battery fire from eight super dreadnoughts and their 25" heavy guns. With far superior range and destructive ability, the tide of the battle was beginning to sway. Azrael had seen how Zander's fleet had valiantly held off the massive assault, and in support of his brother in arms he ordered a massive salvo of 'Skewer' missiles to intercept enemy ordinance that had been fired at Zander's fleet.
Azrael then ordered his own barrage of 'Hellrage' missiles to be fired directly at the Velkyan fleet. The medium range, supersonic AI guided missiles sprang forth from their VLS tubes and began skimming the sea towards their targets. However the role of the missiles was more of a supportive one, as the massive SD gunfire would be the pirmary striking hammer in this engagement.
The Advocate's own wing of fighters took to the skies and began to engage not only Velkyan assets, but those of Kahanistan as well. The number of Freek fighters in the air had nearly doubled in an instant, and with the arrival of fresh ships the salvo of anti-air missiles intensified once again. Azrael ships had begun to swing around Zander's flank and execute a pincer maneuver upon the Velkyan forces. Sensing weakness after the attack from Bretton forces, Azrael's ships moved in at full speed, the mammoth SD's and battleships firing thier naval cannons without pause.
Azrael's host of missile frigates began to spread out amongst the armada, engaging not only enemy air assets but naval assets as well. The sheer overwhelming numbers of superior naval craft began to punish the doomed AKA defensive force with nearly triple the attack strength of the previous hours. Azrael sent a breif transmission to Zander as the battle raged on, informing him of his arrival.
As promised my friend, I have arrived. Now, let us finish off these pathetic cretins and get moving onto the next stage. Lord Dreadfire is watching...

The Kahanistan Air Force proceeded to withdraw back to Kahanistan, having lost about 10% of their fighters in the attack and losing many dozens more in retreat. The task force commander estimated that the Freekish Navy was throwing in most of the fleet, judging from the four more Doujins that had appeared.
The commander opened a communication to the Central Command. "General al-Ghazi, this is Air Force Group Alpha, we've got MORE Douchebags coming in! Looks like most of their fleet judging from the size of them."
"More what?"
"Doujin-class super dreadnaughts, sir." General al-Ghazi didn't like off-color jokes and nicknames.
"Damn... who let the Republic Guard design a coastal defense?" the general swore out loud. "The retreat order still stands, I'll have a barrage of Tomahawks fired on those Douche... Doujins." Damn, I'm starting to talk like these Republic Guard buffoons. "The coastal defenses should work against the other ships."
He opened a secure line to the base at Al-Qamar. "Prepare to refuel and restock the MiG's, we're going to destroy the Axis Nova fleet. I trust you've stored most of your critical supplies deep underground in the bunker?"
"Yes, General," said General Maximus. "But our radar system is kaput, the Axis Nova fleet bombed it. We're trying to get it back online, though. In the meantime, we're getting the backup radar system online."
"Good. I want every Tomahawk and other cruise missile you have left fired on those super-dreadnaughts. Target ONLY the superdreadnaughts, the coastal defenses SHOULD take care of the rest. If any missiles are left, attack the carriers, but there likely won't be any left. The returning MiG's will help you dispose of the Axis Nova fleet, that's the entire Air Force, so use it well."
"Will do, Sir."

With the arrival of Azrael and with the Velkyan fleet under a crushing attack by all the SD's in the armada, the smaller host of battleships began to attack the Kahanistani mainland once more. The War Nerve and Death Rattle, each commanded by Zander and Azrael themselves, lead the attack. Though smaller than the SD's that dominated the battle, they still had an effective range of over 35 miles.
The other Iowa class battleships joined in the deadly song of destruction and began shelling both the dilapidated Kahanistani ships and the beach itself. Large 16" and 18" shells filled the air in large numbers, their rocket assisted high explosive munitions being guided by the watchful eyes of AMF satellites. Coastal batteries were sighted in as well as large contingents of troops. Infrared and high resolution imagery revealed the locations of Kahanistan defenses, which would soon find themselves under fire.
Round after round was spent by the nearly dozen and a half strong battleship bombardment team. The usual targets were still on the chopping block, such as bridges and airfields, but this time the bulk of their fire was concentrated on the enemy ships and coastal defenses.
The intense missile campaign by the enemy had launched had been met head on by a renewed anti-air salvo. With the arrival of Azrael, more and more missile frigates joined the fight and began not only firing counter missile rounds, but began hitting the mainland as well. A fist of frigates began firing medium range anti-ship missiles at the Kahanistan ships that had made their last stand near the shore.
Large scores of missiles joined hands with the Freek naval gun fire and continued hitting the Kahanistan beaches. One can only imagine what it must have been like to be in the midst of such awesome firepower....
The enemy air campaign was also hit hard with a large wave of Freek fighter planes. Several hundred of them joined the airborne melee with the assistance of anti-air fire from the fleet below. The smaller Freek numbers made it easier for them to score multiple hits in a very short period of time, due to the greater number of visible targets.
But the main focus for both Warchiefs was the bombardment of Kahanistani naval and ground assets. The punishing barrage continued without pause indefinately, with each round being guided towards sensitive targets with GPS assistance.

General Hoffman noticed that many of the 155mm cannons had been destroyed in the incoming barrage, however, behind the trenches and fortifications, the troops had sustained relatively few casualties.
Expecting casualties to mount as the Freekish troops moved in, he ordered 90% of his garrison of 200,000 to retreat. The other 15,000 to 18,000 (he didn't count how many casualties there were) were to commandeer the remaining artillery. They were wearing NBC suits and flak jackets, for the surprise that General Valens had delivered from storage.
"Get those guns raised to a 45 degree angle, throw everything you have at that fleet! And when they land, we have this." He pulled out a 100 kg barrel of VX nerve gas. "That should lay waste to their landing forces. But only use it if you can't hold them."
To the retreating troops, he then turned and said, "Take a defensive line about 20km inland, set up Claymores and have a trench dug in, we'll try to get more VX coming in."
- Kraven mainland -
The bulk of the Brettonian Army had regrouped around Kraven's recently rebuilt air bases. The massive air transports that had brought them over at the beginnings of what would later be known as the Kraven Conflict were now undergoing pre-flight checks, while the various armored units neatly lined up in depots awaiting the orders to clamber inside the behemoth aircraft.
While the armored forces were patiently waiting for orders to fly, the fleets of Arbiter bombers, unloaded, were taking off for the frigid Brettonian homeland, where they would recieve the comprehensive upgrade package to the new Arbiter II.
Nearby, a Kraven officer's club had been all but taken over by Brettonian personnell.
"So those Ottoman missiles were your handiwork?"
Field Marshall Bauker inquired, cocking an eyebrow.
"Well, yes."
Colonel Nouls remarked, fingering the brim of his field cap.
"Are you serious, Trent?! You had all those civilians killed?!"
General Hassler demanded, pointing an implicating finger at him.
"Yu- General, with all due respect, we needed whatever public relations advantage we could garner at the time!"
Nouls shot back.
"And that gives you the right to shamelessly eradicate all those-"
Bauker raised his hand, calling for silence. Hassler stopped mid-sentence.
"Obviously, that did not work out as well as you had hoped. While I can't say I think you've scored a moral triumph, that's irrelevent. What's done is done."
Bauker remarked.
"If this gets out, we'll be in trouble."
Hassler interjected.
"We? You'd be just as eager to send me down the river, General."
Nouls muttered.
"Regardless. We sleep with strange bedfellows these days... Colonel, I think your actions will pale in comparison to what's about to be."
Bauker began.
"Perhaps you've had the opportunity of seeing these... freaks... the Capitol Police, they're called, in production."
Hassler and Nouls nodded.
"Well, there you are."
Bauker sighed. He scratched his iguana's throat with his fingers, which illicitied a reaction one would think would more befit a cat.
"Still. It's better for us to be partnered up with those who realize the need for superior military force and industrial power. Not like those blood-sucking socialist scumbags."
Nouls firmly stated.
"Even if our friends are extrordinarily wierd."
Hassler added.
"In either case, it's not like they'll be tramping on our soil. We'll smile and shake hands for the time being."
Bauker stated.
"How can you shake hands with a computer?"
Hassler inquired.
"....well, that only furthers my point."
Bauker cracked his knuckles.
"Moving right along. We'll have to wait and see how this campaign in Kahanistan goes. We can start landing once the Freeks have established a beachhead."

Satellite imagery showed Azrael that the enemy garrison was in full retreat from the naval bombardment, and he quickly ordered half of his battleships to switch targeting from the beach to the enemy soldiers themselves. Immediately half of the mammoth warships switched to high explosive and napalm shells and began firing towards the enemy positions, leading them appropriately for maximum effect.
The remaining half of the battleships continued firing into static enemy postions as well as the remaining artillery batteries. Sensing the enemy was at its breaking point, Azrael ordered his first wave of Sentinels to prepare for landing. Several fists of fighters broke away from the battle in the air and began firing napalm rounds and other high explosives towards the enemy positons on the beach.
With his SD's still concentrating on fending off the inbound missile attacks as well as the Velkyan fleet, Azrael ordered his submarines to engage Velkyan vessels as well as land targets. The surface of the water broke in several areas as cruise missiles took to the skies from the craft below, while others steamed towards the enemy ships. Without slowing they locked in on the vessels from below and began firing scores of torpedos at the underbelly of each ship with great succession, and firing crews on board the subs worked as fast as humanly possible to reload and continue firing.
This allowed two of the Doujin class SD's to concentrate on pounding the beach in preparation for the landing of AMF forces. Large numbers of landing craft took to the seas and began to spread themselves out over the course of several miles in either direction. Under increasing fire from the air and above and below the sea, the transports and landing craft began to move in.
By now they were within range of the enemy guns that remained, and certainly the enemy would take notice to their presence. The Sentinels remained under intensive enemy fire the whole time, but every enemy gun that fired was picked up by Freek satellites, and a hail of counter battery fire followed. Infrared imagery showed that a small contingent of enemy troops still remained, though the larger force that was in retreat was being shot at by heavy naval cannons.
The AMF landing force was comprised mostly of Sentinels with Death Dealers planted in each squad to serve as heavy gunners, and of course the 406th Legion of Automagfreek's new soldiers, 'The Fallen', would be taking part in the landing. As the landing craft braved the choppy seas and enemy fire, they began to unleash their own defenses as they approached. 60mm automatic mortars flew through the air and peppered the beach in every direction, while missiles, cannons, and aircraft fire continued to churn up sand and smoke into the sky.
The Sentinels seethed and brooded as they counted down the minutes until they hit the sands. Several transports belched flames as collided with their hulls, causing a mist of gore and body parts to fill the air as the entire craft went straight to the bottom. But the Sentinels remained undaunted and numbered in the tens of thousands, regardless of the casualties they were already taking.
They began to break off and head to several different designated landing zones, and as they neared the sands of Kahanistan the mortar tubes began to fire smoke rounds and coat the beach with a thick, soupy white fog. The 30mm automatic cannons began to fire blindly into the cloud of smoke as the first transport door flew down, and the Sentinels inside poured forth like a great crashing tide.

On the beach
About 10,000 Republic Guards survived the bombings, and most of their artillery was gone.
"Shit!" said Major General Abu Rashid bin Abdullah, commander of the 'leftover' garrison. "Every time one of these cannons fires, it gets blown out, they must have satellite intel on us."
"You think?" said a colonel. "Of course they do, and so do we."
The general nodded grimly, firing his Galil on some of the Sentinel troopers. "Board those beached ships and start firing those guns. I'll release the VX," he made sure his gas mask was on straight. He reloaded his assault rifle and fired on some more of the Sentinels. Brain tissue and blood spatterd on him from one who had gotten too close for comfort.
General Bin Abdullah shot the canisters of VX that were placed in front of him. The toxic nerve gas spewed all over the beach. He ordered the battalion commanders on the beach to do the same. "Release the gas, they're swarming the beach!"
------
Meanwhile, 20 km inland
General Hoffman and his 140,000 or so surviving troops had spread out as soon as they realized the incoming fire was pursuing them. They took up positions and dug foxholes, in which they readied M-60 machine guns. He radioed the President to warn him that the enemy had a foothold. The coastal city of Al-Bahr, defended by the 1st Army of the Republic Guard under General Nora Kasagawa, 100,000 troops, was still holding them off somehow. Urban warfare was their specialty.
The President, most of the Cabinet, Senate, and Supreme Court top officials joined millions of civilians fleeing the invasion. The Kahanistan Government first issued two statements, one encrypted and one open. Delray's caustic attitude toward the international community was unchanged, even in this dire hour.
General Hoffman's troops dug foxholes with machine guns and 115mm mortars pointed outside of them. This force was dug in deeply, and was prepared to use gas if defeated, just like the beach troops...

The Government of Kahanistan is fleeing the invasions of Automagfreek and Axis Nova, the Kraven slave-allies. We request that they be allowed asylum in the Holy Empire of Xirnium, for purposes of setting up a government in exile should we fall under occupation.
While we believe that victory is still possible, we must ensure the safety of our government, so that after the hostilities we will still have a government.

More than two million civilians were murdered by bombings from Axis Nova, men, women, and children. In addition, more than ten million civilians are becoming refugees from the invasions.
We call on the international community, and the U.N. (Useless Nations) to condemn the capitalist, bestial warmongers Automagfreek and the Kraven Corporation, and their allies, the Base Masters of Treachery, Bretton and Axis Nova, for their imperialistic and murderous attacks on the Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan.
We further require that our refugees be given shelter in any nation willing to take them, except Kraven and its allies, who would likely use them as slaves or worse.

The Sentinels stormed up the beach with great speed, but commanders began watching in horror as the pointmen began collapsing with violent convulsions, their bodies jolting with pain as every nerve began firing madly. GAS! GAS! GAS! shouted one of the squad leaders, who held his breath and rushed to get his mask on. The latter waves of Sentinels heard the call via radio and quickly put their gas masks on, as well as those that were about to land. But hundreds lay dead and dying as the toxic cloud swept over the beach.
The transport crews that dropped off their troops and returned to sea put on their own protective gear, and NBC measures were taken aboard every warship in case the gas cloud managed to float out to sea.
Azrael had heard the radio transmission across all channels warning about the deadly brew of chemicals that filled the air. In a fit of rage he gripped his chair so hard that it splintered in his very hands, and he wasted no time issuing a new and grim order. Cowardly fucks, they fight without honor! The gloves have come off now men....total war is upon us. I hoped in all my heart that it would not come to this, but my hand has been forced.
One of the officers on board the Death Rattle asked what he had in mind. Do you want us to release our own VX onto the battlefield? Azrael scoffed and cursed the man violently. Of course not you moron, if the wind so much as changes direction the enemy will be engulfed in their own gas! Instead, fire on the city of Al-Bahr with everything we've got. Though their soldiers have protective gear, I doubt their civilians do.
The Death Rattle ceased its fire momentarily while the gunners switched to a different kind of ordinance. With ten minutes they began firing upon Al-Bahr with rocket assisted artillery rounds outfitted with VX warheads, and warheads filled with the ebola virus as well as avian flu, and so on. They also began firing high explosive rounds into the rear of the city, shells that were filled with napalm and designed to spread flame like a landslide.
Meanwhile, the Sentinels that continued to land grew enraged as news of the gas attack spread through the ranks. Light and medium armor was beginning to come ashore, and with the assistance of the naval fleets they began to pound and swarm the enemy ground targets. Fleet had begun walking their furhter inland as the Sentinels staged a daring charge across the smokey and gas filled beaches, pouring a massive helping of automatic fire towards the enemy as they spilled forth like a swarm of locusts.
The Sentinels would issue no quarter nor take prisoner for the atrocity they had just committed. By now the 406th Legion had landed as well, and the wildmen stormed up the beach with a blinding fury, though the anger on their faces were shielded by their gas masks. Thousands of them decended upon the enemy ranks with great speed, firing off their SBP-90 assault rifles furiously while charging up the charred sands. Light and medium armor joined in as well, targeting enemy machine gun nests and gun emplacements, and coordinates of those that were too well defended were given to fleet and the fighters in the air, who prompty unleashed a devastating salvo.

On this day we have seen a great evil unleashed on mankind once more. The doomed nation of Kahanistan has effectively sealed its own doom by doing the unthinkable. Today in a display of cowardice they have unleashed chemical weapons upon my troops who are currently engaging their forces.
So far my military has been told to avoid engaging civilians and resorting to....brutal tactics. But now the gloves have come off, and a state of Total War now exists between the Empire and Kahanistan. For this treachery they shall suffer a fate worse than Puritania, and the ground will be stained red with the blood of the innocents for generations to come.
Any and all Kahanistani citizen, military or non, that we come across shall be put to the sword and butchered. I have authorized my commanders to do whatever they deem necessary to bring these heathen dogs to justice for their crimes committed today. The skies will weep tonight with the blood of Kahanistan...believe that.
May whatever Gods they believe in have mercy upon thier souls, because the Sentinels will not.

Al-Bahr, Kahanistan
Pandemonium reigned supreme as chemical and biological weapons containing horrible diseases rained onto the city. During the Ottoman War, Kahanistan civilians had been given NBC suits in anticipation of nuclear attacks by the Ottoman Alliance. The attacks never came, a peace treaty had been signed, and most of the civilians had thrown away their NBC suits.
They would regret that now.
NBC-equipped police, HAZMAT, and anti-terrorist teams sprayed copious quantities of sulfuric acid on anything that looked like an enemy shell. Sirens rang all over the city, warning civilians to go into bomb shelters underground or high rises above 500 meters, the maximum Civil Defense figured gas could rise, as ill, dying, and dead civilians overwhelmed Al-Bahr's hospitals and NBC-wearing medical staff. Police stations, schools, and even storage safes became makeshift hospitals. The few who had kept their suits participated in the relief efforts, sighting shells for the police to neutralize, but the acid only killed microorganisms. It did nothing against the VX that was killing millions of civilians, or the napalm fires the Al-Bahr Fire Department, aided by the 1st Army, were struggling frantically to suppress.
General Kasagawa, commander of the 1st Republic Guard Army, watched in shock, anger, and horror as many civilians were stuffed unceremoniously into pits and doused with napalm. She ordered her troops to make a stand here, like the Alamo nearly two centuries earlier...
She figured the enemy would invade the city soon. Meanwhile, the Mayor of Al-Bahr issued a statement to the world.
DEMOCRATIC SOVIET REPUBLIC OF KAHANISTAN
City of Al-Bahr, Kahanistan
Office of the Mayor
To: The International Community
The City of Al-Bahr, once a resort city which countless billions visited for pleasure, is now a war-torn, disease-ridden slum in our beloved nation. We strongly urge all foreign tourists to defer travel to Al-Bahr until the war with the Kraven Consortium ends.
We hope that freedom will again bless this wonderful nation, this beacon of democracy in a world of imperialist barbarian hordes, this defender of the rights of the people of the world.
Signed,
Donald Drummond, Mayor of Al-Bahr, Kahanistan
Meanwhile, in the Ministry of Defense, Deputy Defense Minister Abdullah Hassan al-Ghazi, a devout Muslim nicknamed "General Gas," wrote to the Government of Automagfreek about the latest incident.
"You call us cowards, when we fight for democracy in this world against nations that outnumber us six to one. You call us heathen dogs, while Allah has smitten your infidel hordes for daring to invade this land, given to us by Him as a beacon of freedom and democracy. Allah will indeed have mercy upon us, and He will even have mercy on your common soldiers, including the Sentinels who do merely as they are told for fear of their own lives or due to psychological or genetic manipulation. But your leaders, the ones who commit such unspeakable atrocities as to shock the mind of even this battle-hardened veteran... you will be condemned to a Hell of such ferocity even Shaitan, the Islamic Devil, would not want you... you have murdered at least four million civilians and the death toll is expected to rise dramatically over the next few days."
Psyker Bearzerkers

100 miles away from the shores of doomed Kahanistan, the jet black VTOLs carried the forces of Psyker Bearzerkers. 23,000 battle hungry 'Capitol Berzerkers', designated Plague Army, they were ready to crush Kahanistan under their heavy boots.
From their cruising height, and 75 miles away the Bearzerkers descended and prepared to rush the defenses of Kahanistan.
Moments later, they were at 50 miles and began stooping for the onsite drop of the entire force on the doorsteps on Kahanistan.

Azrael chuckled in amusement as he watched the news reports of the carnage inside Al-Bahr, for his triple attack of gas, plague, and flame had overwhelmed the people inside the city limits. After the launch of WMD tipped shells, the Warchief ordered the bombardment to resume, but this time with nothing but napalm and other high explosive. I want the entire city to be cleansed and razed to the ground. Make it happen.
The guns of the battleships all turned towards the city and began firing indiscriminately at anything inside Al-Bahr. Frigate and airplane launched missiles also joined in the barrage of the city from safe distances, and while Al-Bahr began to burn from the last bombardment, the Sentinels continued landing and driving up the coast. They smashed into the enemy ranks like a great hammer, moving swifty with the asssitance of armored vehicles and their movements covered by naval and land based artillery.
The plan to raze Al-Bahr with fire would serve several purposes, the most important being the destrucion of Kahanistani personnel, and the second would be to 'clean' the area of the lethal diseases that had been unleashed. As more and more vehicles and mobile artillery took to the beaches, they began joining in the barrage and lobbing shells into the city. The Sentinels on the left flank were nearest to Al-Bahr, but they held a permeter several miles away from the city and watched the sky fill with fire from a safe distance.
The Sentinels in the center and right flank continued pushing into the enemy ranks without pause or break in fire. Ground based mobile batteries and MLRS were engaging the retreating Kahanistani garrison after fleet had changed targets toward Al-Bahr. These batteries were escorted by mobile anti-air platforms and protected by contingents of Sentinels, and their fire was being directed by Freek GPS that observed the action from high in the heavens. Plans were already being made for incursions into other Kahanistan cities and villages, though the razing of Al-Bahr was of primary importance.
Lord Dreadfire listened to the message from the mayor of Al-Bahr, and grunted in distaste. The man obviously knew little about AMF history, and the Warlord was not amused with the threats of hellfire and eternal damnation.

You speak of your little God and consequences in the life to come, but neither scare me or my men in the slightest. There are things in this world that I have faced head on that you couldn't possibly comprehend, and your threats of 'Hell' bring a smile to my face.
You see my friend, I AM the Devil, and my Sentinels are here to do the Devil's work. Your little Allah has not 'smitten my infidel hordes' in the least, for the reality is that YOU are the ones being vanquished. Your military has tucked tail and is running scared for its life, and as we speak your fine city is being shelled and burned back into the stone age. The more you fight and resist, the more tired you will be when you are slain.
I am quite pleased to hear that we have killed some 4 million people in retalliation for your use of Coward's weapons. The more of your countrymen we slaughter the better, and I hope to see that body count double exponentially. Perhaps now you will realize what happens when you anger a dragon such as Automagfreek.
Your fate has been sealed, and your very existance rests in our hands. Where is your pathetic God now?

As the Kahanistani MiGs zoom away, satellite tracking reveals where their bases are, and another flight of ground attack UAVs launches, following them.
The fleet's defenses lash out at the Velkyan planes at long range, hoping to take as large a toll as possible before they can launch their deadly weapons. Still, a couple more transports, corvettes, and frigates go down, and a near-miss cripples one of the retrieval elevators on one of the carriers.
On board the flagship, General Ohms curses as he sees several more ships drop from the sky.
"Damn... I was hoping to wait till we got to the airbase to do this, but as long as we're stuck babysitting transports, we can't defend ourselves as well. Order all transports to land and disgorge their troops-- and to stay down there to keep them out of the line of fire. Then reconfigure our formation so that we can bring the maximum number of Agnis to bear on any incoming targets. Order the troops to advance on the airbase after a defensive perimiter is set up-- and speaking of that, recall those frigates and corvettes shelling and bombing the city. They can act as air cover for the transports."
A minute later, as the order bounces around the fleet, the VTOL transports begin to drop towards the ground below. As they land, armored doors slam open and explosive bolts fire.
Massive Admiral A-1s, Lion IIs, CMGVs, artillery, and Hound FMB monocycles begin rolling out of the transports, forming up and preparing to move out. Above, the more military oriented skyships close up their formation. Anything now attacking them by air would have a much more difficult time...
"Move, move, move!"
As a defensive perimiter is established, troops and vehicles begin to move out, headed for the airbase...

The Lord High Grand Cardinals of the High Ecclesiarchy have looked with untold sympathy and sorrow at the fate that has befallen mighty Kahanistan, and are ashamed that Holy Xirnium was not able to do more to protect such a noble ally.
The High Ecclesiarchy recognises also that, should the Kraven Consortium succeed your nation like ours will be subjected to the most barbaric horrors imaginable, its male citizenry being worked to death in brutal extermination camps and its female citizenry lobotomised for use in Kraven’s birthing factories.
Faced with such a genocidal horror, we can do nothing but accept your request completely, and allow a Kahanistanian government-in-exile to be formed in Holy Xirnium. We also hope that you shall evacuate as many Kahanistanian civilians as possible. With coastal defenses completely debilitated, all 23,000 Capitol Bearzerkers, landed without incident. Establishing a strong beachhead, they began preparation to move inland and secure enough territory to make a noticeable thorn in the side of Doomed Kahanistan.
Garik Plague, Commanding Marshal, ordered a march north would be better as they would move in earth movers to make landing strips and begin to build a base of operations in Kahanistan. His plague would thrive and multiply in the dying animal, and consume its innards till the husk fell upon itself.
The army’s banner flapped in the arid wind. A rotting wolf skull, with water from the canal, and airbase they would have a strong supply route to destroy misled Kahanistan.
A Jalik II exploded in a massive fireball as a 30 inch shell impacted it in it's magazine. The remaining ships began to fall back towards the opening of the Red Sea, hoping to make it to Point A. The Pathfinders began resonding, raining down their own 18-inch ETC guns, as the 40mm rail guns of the Oured began to fire as well. As the enemy aircraft approached, the Velkyan fleet' air defence network opened up, pouring millions of 30mm, 40mm, and SAMs into the air towards the enemy aircraft. SONAR onboard the Jaliks and Pathfinders picked up enemy subs and began to pour down anti-sub munitions, including massive Tsunami depth charges (more explosive force than a Daisy Cutter bomb) and Neptune torpedos.
The Oured, even though massive, shook with the vibrations from the Jalik's explosion as it retreated. Rogerson knew this had happened. Victors on the other side of AMF were rare, anyone knew that. He called to his SatComm officer.
"Warrent Officer?"
"Yes?"
"Contact all active TRC stations, I want a rail barrage on the enemy SDs, immeditaly."
"Yes, sir."
Turning to his comm officer, he began giving him an order as well.
"Relay to TASK FORCE WHITE, I need their ETA."
"ETA looks like about...30 minutes, at best."
"Damn it! We won't survive that long!"
Suddenly, a roar was heard overhead. A lone red fighter screamed over, followed by another, and another. A white one followed as well, followed a likewise one.
"This is Krimson Leader, ready to engage enemy fighters!"
"This is Patriot Leader, ready to kill!"
Rogerson's face relieved alittle.
"Krimson, Patriot, hold off those enemy aircraft, we need some room to escape."
"Will do, Admiral, we'll get us some kills, we assure you."
"Get back in one piece, will ya?"
"Roger that."
And so, the two dozen fighters flew to transit once again, ready to pounce upon the enemy once again.
Several hundred miles outside of Kahaninstani Airspace Line, 120,000 feet
The trio of Zeus aircraft neared the deployment range of the AN fleet (about 400 miles). There was a rumbling noise as their massive bomb bays opened. Instead of a rain of black iron bombs, a single grey aircraft dropped out. A drone, to be exact. It's wings unfolded, and it's single powerful jet engine kicked in. Soon, more of these aircraft dropped out of the immense Zeus aircraft, until 120 of them dropped out, flying in formation.
"This is Cloak 1, payload has been released, over."
"Roger that, Cloak Sqaudron, prepare to orbit, over."
"Roger that, reducing speed, turning on Package Intel."
The voice on the other side of the radio hesitated.
"Roger that, Cloak, permission to begin operations."
In a massive symohony, the SCRAM engines of the drones kicked in, sending them to nearly Mach 5, speed heavily increasing by the second. They homed in on the AN fleet, ready to drop their deadly payloads.

Al-Bahr, a city under siege
The 1st Army was reinforced by elements of the 19th and 24th Armies, totalling 240,000 troops. Millions of terrified civilians poured out of the city in cars, trucks, and even hijacked police, rescue, and military vehicles at gunpoint. They spilled in all directions, some relocating to other cities, others fleeing the country for Xirnium, St. Fedski, and even Kraven. Life in a work camp must have seemed preferable to dying of Ebola in a converted closet used as a hospital room.
The defenders of Al-Bahr were determined to hold on. Only about forty million or so civilians remained, many of them armed with at least a pistol, and a few more with AK-47's, M-16's, and FAMAS rifles. They would shoot at approaching enemy infantry, but they lacked anything for dealing with the heavy vehicles. Some laid out IED's, but most effective were the Republic Guard's LOSAT and HEAT anti-tank weapons and RPG-7 grenade launchers... Many of the civilians were left homeless, and the death toll had climbed to over ten million.
During the bombing of the city, most of the survivors holed in bomb shelters. It remained to be seen how effective they would be against the guns of the superdreadnaughts. The military forces in the city took positions in or on the rubble itself. It wouldn't collapse on them.
---
Meanwhile, the Kahanistan Air Force detected UAV's on their radar and engaged them. Most had dropped their bombs, and only about 1,500 MiG's were left. They radioed the Al-Qamar base that they were likely to be facing a ground assault. They doubled back to try to slow the Axis Nova advance toward the base, and inform the 3rd Army in the city itself and the 16th Army and Imperial Marine VII Corps nearby of the attack. That base had to hold, or else the MiG's would be substantially less able to refuel.
Meanwhile, the nearby 5th and 6th Armies, who had defended the beach and were now trying to draw the Freekish troops further inland, waited in their foxholes with their rifles pointing out... Intel had said that Berserkers or whatever would be coming in. The 23,000 troops were hopelessly outnumbered and would likely be slaughtered if they attacked head on. General Hoffman sent a call to the IV Corps of the Imperial Marines to hunt the Berserkers.

[ooc: appologies for my lack of posts, my internet fucked up, i feel bad about sticking my lot in when AMF has done most of the work, so again my appologies]
The Kraven Super carriers had been air borne for a long time now, the fleet had had been slowed down by strong winds and various weather anomoalies that had blown the fleet off course several times, as well as strong electrical storms that had brought two craft down, and scrambled radar data once again throwing them off course... in response to this Father had deployed a second air wing, sending 100,000 Sardaukar Terror Troopers to begin the extermination, unfortunatly it was too little too late, and the Kraven forces were already behind schedule...
The Reichmarshal was furious...
"You failed the Spot the weather patterns, Before we hit it"
"I'm sorry Reichmarshal, The Radar hadn't picked anything up"
"You should have exteneded its range, or radioed to The Command Relay, they would have given you the information hours before we were blown off course"
"I'm sorry Reichmarshal... It won't happen again"" the officer spoke with his head down...
"Your Right, Ensign... It won't, Capitol Police units on board are ordered to Exterminate the Fleet Officers, By Orders of Reichmarshal Helgar..."
instantly The Capitol Police on board, moved towards the consoles, pulling out their bayonets and advancing towards the Officers, wide eyed and fearfully, they tried to fight back, but it was few against geneticaly enhanced soldiers, machines designed for war, within moments officers dropped to the metal floor clutcing at their necks while spraying the cabin with blood...
The Capitol Police quickly took control of the situation, continueing with their mission as though nothing had happened....
It would take a few more hours to get to Kahanistan, and reports were filtering in that AMF had been to work, breaking the meager reistance of Kahanistan before the conflict had truley began...
The First of the Sardaukar Wing approached the Coast of Kahanistan, instantly they deployed their 4 underslung Assault craft, without question or hesitation the craft plumeted down through the atmosphere, until their engines kicked in, powering the large transports towards their targets...
soon the Extermination would pick up pace, the Killing Machines of the Phase 4's would set to work, brutaly exterminating the populace... they would leave none alive, butchering everyone and everything.... then the Kraven Mechanized Detachment would set to work leveling the cities... until nothing of Kahanistan stood...
The Barren, Schorced earth of Kahanistan would stand forever more as a testement to defiying The Consortium...
As the Task Force headed by the Velkya retreated, an even larger one began to move foward. Coming out of the mouth of the Red sea, a massive armada of 4 Velkya Class SDs and 50 Pathifnder dreadnoughts, as well as numerous FAD ships and submarines began to move in, intergrating with the fleeing fleet. They began to move together, firing in massive vollies. Hundreds, nay, thousands of 18 inch and 40 inch shells screamed towards the AMF fleet as the 150 ship armada began to press it's attack on AMF. Red Square VLS pods opened up, spewing over 20,000 missiles upon the outer ships of the AMF formation. Overhead, RADF-2s and LMF-3s patrolled the skies, eager to shoot down any AMF aircraft that got near.
Meanwhile, in the Persian Gulf.
The peaceful waves several hundred miles off the coast of the Middle Eastern mainland swayed with the wind, sprouting gentle whitecaps. Suddenly, a great disturbence began to develop on the ocean waves. A dark shape emerged from the water, over 400m long.
The Posiden had emerged.

Dreadfire was quite angry when he heard about the Consortium landing in Kahanistan. As the report was read to him, his jaw began to tighten and his red eyes began to flare, causing the air to warp from heat dissipation. He gestured for his servant to cease reading the message, and as he walked towards his throne he noticed that he had unknowingly put several holes in his oak table.
They think they can snatch the day's glory after we have done all the bleeding? Fuck that, get me on the horn with our Consortium leaders... Within seconds Damien was online and began transmitting over a secure feed to all friendly commanders in the area.
~From the desk of Lord Damien the Destroyer, Supreme Warlord of the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek~
It is my understanding from my Warchiefs in the area that Consortium forces have begun to land in Kahanistan. I am here to tell you that your troops are not required, and Automagfreek can topple this foe on its own. The Sentinels are more than capable of handling the Kahanistani military, of which it has managed to beat into near submission...but at the cost of many lives.
The war against Kahanistan has been made personal thanks to their liberal use of VX nerve agent. Your troops will only slow us down, and I believe that they could be better allocated to another front. Perhaps Velkya, as their constant buzzing is beginning to become an annoyance.
Rest assured that Kahanistan will not last much longer, and I refuse to have the glory taken from my military when it has done all the bleeding and dying thus far in the war. I will notify you if your assistance is needed, but I highly doubt it. AMF has a vast war machine and can fight Kahanistan with ease, as well as join in on the other predetermined fronts.
But I suggest that the Consortium disengage Kahanistan and leave it up to the Sentinels, and instead begin assaulting the other heathen on our hit list.

Al-Qamar Air Force Base
20,000 troops of the 16th Army poured into the base, moving their heavy Patriot launchers and other AAA defenses in with them. They had heard most of the Axis Nova fleet had descended and were advancing ground troops to the base and nearby city, but one could never bee too careful, especially with the inferior intelligence service of Kahanistan...
---
Meanwhile, a million troops from 12 different armies had entered Al-Bahr, hoping to defend it from the Kraven and Freekish troops moving in. The longer they could hold the city, the more time civilians from other cities had to flee. They were weakly supported by remnants of the 11th Air Force, but it was down to about 30% of full strength, or about 120 MiG's. Also, more 155mm artillery was being brought into the city, and this time the artillery carried VX shells to saturate any area that was overrun. If Kraven and its allies wanted Kahanistan so badly, they could have it, Kahanistan had no illusions of victory over these forces. But it wasn't going to be suited for anything without a massive cleanup operation.
The MiG's dropped nerve gas shells all across the beach, under orders to create a vast no-man's-land twenty kilometers thick that no enemy could pass through. Anti-air missiles fired on approaching aircraft that weren't MiG's, as over 90% of the Kahanistan Air Force was composed of MiG's.

Aside from this, the Border Guard, Air Force and Imperial Police have all been put to Highest Alert. We are also readying Silos and Satelites to deliver conventional payloads to the enemy as well as preparing reinforcements for our initial landing force.
Our Naval Forces shall assist AMF vessels with coastal bombardment while the Tactical and Mechanised Legions on board take to the Landing Transports and secure the beaches. The Shock Legion will be parachuted into the remains of the city of Al-Bahr and await for Consortium forces to link up with them.
Once ground has been secured, we shall construct airfields to allow us to move in the 1st Imperial Airforce and take air superiority in the skies of Kahanistan.

Spare me the propaganda statements. Perhaps you did not understand me the first time. Perhaps I need to make myself more clear.
I don't recall asking you to let us handle Kahanistan, I recall telling you to let us handle Kahanistan. For the sake of your 'experiments', we will capture as many women as we can find and ship them by the boatload to Kraven, but I will not share the battlefield with anyone in this war.
This is not some petty engagement my friend, the Empire is in a state of Total War, and in this situation you are either in our way or you are not...there is no middle ground.
It would certainly be....unfortunate for Automagfreek to find itself on the opposite side of the table as the Consortium. You have seen the devastation we have rained down upon Kahanistan, and now we will finish the job and leave none alive...save for those who are to become subjects of your experiments.
I will not repeat myself again, AMF is going to finish Kahanistan on its own terms. If our business is meddled in, we will silence the source....be it AKA or Consortium. Do not make an enemy out of me while you are on my good side.

Najaster, Capital of Kahanistan
Underground Command Bunker, classified
Brigadier General Levitt was standing facing a corner, angrily berating a major who had made a serious blunder.
"Why did you not radio for support when you found yourself so outnumbered?"
"I thought that my own forces could hold them, General."
This man thinks that he can hold off 3,000 Berserkers with only 200 Marines. Who does he think he is, Rambo? "Moron! Even if you think you can win, you need to let the other units know what you're facing so they can help you if the shit hit the fan, or you might be the one needed to help other units who are less fortunate! You were outnumbered fifteen to one, what were you thinking?"
A black-clad intelligence officer entered the room and saluted. "General, we have intelligence that Kraven and Freekish Commands are butting heads."
"What made you think that?" Levitt snapped. "The fact that the Freekish forces like to hog all the action in battle? Did the mental telepathy that all Republic Guard Intelligence officers have tell you that, Colonel Kaselev?" she added sarcastically.
"That and the fact that the Kraven fleet underwent a disruption in getting here... Most of what we've fought are Freekish troops, and they won't take kindly to Kraven stealing all the glory. During the Invasion of Xirnium, didn't some Capitol Police and Sardaukar armor get captured by AKA forces?"
"Yes, about six thousand suits. But seriously you don't expect to fit me into one of them?" She was much shorter than a Capitol Police soldier, at 5'3", or 160 cm depending on which measurement one used. The helmet fit fine, the chest armor was a tight squeeze, but her legs were about six inches too short for the leg armor.
"Try stuffing the legs with padding or something. It'll be uncomfortable, but you are an Imperial Marine... right?" Kaselev grinned.
"I'll wear the demonic armor for the sake of Kahanistan. And, if any pictures of me show up in any of those military magazines, I will personally curbstomp your ass."
Kaselev smiled, saluted and left. Levitt's cell rang.
"General, this is Nora Kasagawa, Kahanistan Republic Guard, commander of the 1st Army and defending forces of Al-Bahr. The city is about 50% leveled, and over 60% of the population has fled, about 15 million killed. About 30 million are left there."
Damn, Levitt thought grimly. She lived there. Many of her friends lived there. And where are they now? Well... Nadia's still off at that demonstration, she's safe at least. But if anything happened to her pet... whatever she called it, that she left with me, she's gonna have my hide. But good riddance to that horrid little beast anyway, throwing its own crap around the place and drinking out of the toilet. Lt. Colonel Nadia Sklenova would probably understand if it was wartime and something happened, but she was overly emotional. She might not kill me, but she'll definitely react negatively at first.
"General Kasagawa, I just got a visit from Intelligence, was that you?"
"Yes, if we play our cards right, General al-Ghazi thinks we can turn Kraven and Automagfreek against each other. Frankly, I'm a little skeptical, I think they both hate us more than each other, but AMF does have a culture of glory in battle... We really know so little about their people, Kaselev's been a great help in gathering intel."
"Your orders, as Kaselev probably didn't make too clear, are to dress your brigade, 5,000 troops, in the captured CP armor that should be in your bunker. Go out and engage the AMF forces. Make sure to use Kraven tactics, but fire on the AMF and avoid Kraven whenever you can, General al-Ghazi and I don't want any friendly kills. Hopefully, we'll be able to provoke a war between Kraven and AMF, and rebuild our forces."
"Letting the AMF think Kraven plans to use the weight of the Consortium to backstab them might work, but I'll have to get the OK from Intel before we try anything risky. Your orders are just to ambush AMF troops. You might even want to act the part, but put your 'captured' civilians in Underground Bunker 47-B, it's pretty well provisioned. Let them think they're being captured for the CP breeding program, I know it's horrible but we won't really be killing any of our people, just deceiving our enemies."
Levitt and her troops began suiting up...

"Armor and artillery?"
"A few hours, sir!"
"As soon as the artillery is on the ground commence firing, I want the apc's and armor to hold back until they attack us. We've dug in right? We have Razor-ribbon, mines, trenches and the lot?"
"Of course sir!"
"Good then, make sure we have plenty of mortars, grenade launchers and heavy guns if the Kanistanies decide to come at us. I want sentries and some observation planes.
"After the armor and artillery come the reinforcement troops. How many and how much longer after the armor will they arrive here?"
"HQ says they'll be six hours behind The Guns. Six hours of White Phosphorous, and shaped high explosive ordnance. Then we get the troops under Roshak Bone, we will total 100,000 in all. But it will take 10 hours for us to become fully operational. By then the airfield will be complete and more units and reinforcements will be on their way."
"Excellent, dismissed!"
As he left Garik mused to himself... AMF will never ask for help, but we are already here and if we are attacked, even Damian would understand an act of violent retribution and revenge.... Wouldn't He?

The shelling of Al-Bahr continued for days on end without pause, with several hundred mobile artillery pieces and naval guns blaring day and night. Large scores of MLRS and cruise missiles blanketed the once beautiful city, which was now burning from top to bottom. Kahanistani war reports stated that nearly half of the city had been destroyed, and some 15 million lay dead. But that did not satisfy Lord Dreadfire in the slightest.
Tensions were also rising from within the Consortium ranks after the statement given by Damien. Automagfreek had been personally wronged, and the Consortium refused to let the Sentinels handle business in Kahanistan. Azrael and Zander had been in discussion for several hours after the order came down from the Warlord himself. After a lengthy deliberation, they decided to address the various Consortium armies in the area.
As you all may know, Automagfreek has been personally wronged in the fight against Kahanistan. If this had happened to any of the other Consortium nations, we would respect your wishes to extract your revenge. Why is AMF being denied justice?
Also, as designated Warchiefs for all AMF forces in the area we can state that from a tactical standpoint, your forces are not needed. Automagfreek normally designates 1 Warchief per front, but in this case Lord Damien has sent 2 of us. That means that there is two times the needed Sentinels to take Kahanistan down.
Your forces are not needed, and are currently just wasting valuable time and resources. This time could be better spent allocating your forces to another front and ending this war quickly. I thought that the goal was to crush the AKA as quickly and efficiently as possible? Throwing unneeded troops into an already overcrowded front is essentially overkill, and regardless of any "example" you want to set, you are in fact making things harder.
Tactically the enemy now has the advantage. With so many of our forces crowded in the same area, the chances of the Consortium taking catastrophic losses from a single attack are at an all time high. I cannot express enough that we can handle Kahanistan, and we expect the country to fall fairly soon. Besides, Automagfreek would not deny any of you the right to avenge its own after suffering from a Coward's attack.
If the rest of the Consortium is not willing to back off and follow strategy, then we will abandon the war against Kahanistan...and possibly the whole campaign against the AKA. I highly doubt the Consortium would have advanced this far into Kahanistan if it were not for Automagfreek.

Meanwhile, the Sentinels continued driving further inland, and as the hours passed more vehicles and reinforcements continued to land on the secured beachhead. The various settlements they had come across were not spared from the wrath of the Sentinels, who's standing orders were to butcher all that stood in their path.
The 406th Legion had taken things a step further. Those that they came across were promptly diced into fragements and placed into the boxes of several large dump trucks. The heads were mounted on various Freek tanks and armored vehicles, while the rest of the severed body parts were sent ahead to the next town or city. The drivers of the trucks were Kahanistani prisoners who were forced to watch the slaughter with their own eyes, and the 406th commanders lied to them and told them that if they deviated from their course, a bomb mounted under their seat would explode. Of course this was not true, but after witnessing such trauma one would be more concerned with living over anything else.
Meanwhile, communications between AMF and Consortium leaders continued, and in a sign that Dreadfire was ready and willing to follow through with his word, he ordered supplies to Consortium nations ceased...with the assumption that if the Consortium did not respect AMF wishes that they must be more than capable of fending for themselves.

30 kilometers northwest of Najaster
Kahanistan military encampment
An Imperial Marine dressed in captured Kraven armor saluted. "General Levitt, our scouts have spotted heads dangling off of tanks and vehicles."
The commander uncomfortably suited in another captured suit nodded. "If they think this act of terrorism will get us to surrender, they're gravely mistaken." She locked and loaded her OICW and asked, "Captain, where did you spot these... savages?"
"General, the Freekish vehicles are moving out of Al-Bahr, inward toward Najaster, they're, I reckon about 40-50 kilometers away... Think we should go after them?"
"Yes, let's. I'm from Al-Bahr, these animals will pay for their crimes," Levitt said viciously. "Let's hang some of THEIR heads from OUR tanks. And get me a book about Puritania, I want to do that to Azrael and Zander if and when we capture them."
"I think there's one in the National Library in Najaster. Tortures and Terrors to Chill the Bones, by Igor Vladimirovich Kaselev."
"The same Kaselev from Intel that came by the other day? He doesn't seem the bookish type."
"I think so... he'd know all there is to know about torture. He's been tortured by several different methods, according to his book. Nothing as inhuman as Puritania, just car batteries hooked up to his balls, fingernail pulling and the like. But the things an Intel officer sees..."
"Well, ask him. Hell, let him do the torture himself, I'm not sure I have the stomach for it." She had killed in battle and been wounded before, but sadistically torturing people, no matter how evil, was simply not in her mentality. "Let's hunt some Freeks. And remember to act Kraven. That means addressing me as 'Reichsmarshal' when in our captured Kraven gear." German-sounding rank... She chuckled at the thought of a Jewish Reichsmarshal. "By the way, anyone have that three-stage bioweapon that Xirnium Intelligence captured from Kraven? I know they only had two stages of it, but they should be deadly enough."
"Sorry, General. The President had all the samples destroyed or warehoused that weren't being used for researching a cure before he and most of the government fled."
She muttered some curse in Hebrew, then stormed off. "Get the troops, we're crushing some skulls."
The troops moved out of the encampment towards the Freekish troops some hours away. This time, they were to demand that the Freek forces cease 'wasting their human resources,' and if that failed to work, they would keep up the charade, but get pushier, until the Freeks attacked, hopefully still thinking the disguised troops were Kraven and getting them fighting one another.

The bulk of the main Sentinel force diverted from Al-Bahr and continued along its western flank, engaging any Kahanistani forces they came across as well as pillaging and burning any smaller settlements to the ground. However, the massive shelling of Al-Bahr itself did not cease, and nearly a week had passed since the first explosions rocked the area.
In that time Azrael and Zander had landed nearly 70% of their forces, and the majority of the lengthy Kahanistani beach had been teeming with Freekish activity for days. Slowly but surely they began to march further inland, with the support of armored columns, aircraft, and guided missiles. Long range missiles were already being fired at targets inside Najater, most prominently power plants, major bridges, airfields, and the like.
Major resistance had been minimal since the large contingent of troops on the beach were scattered, and the Sentinels moved freely about the countryside, pillaging, raping, and burning their way towards the heart of Kahanistan. Both major water treatment plants were under heavy bombardment by long range artillery and missiles, and the Sentinels also began moving towards At Tahrir. Though their main focus was now Najaster, AMF High Command did not want to leave any major pockets of resistance, and the whole area was to be cleansed.
As the fowardmost elements of the Sentinel war machine prepared to move out once more, they were approached by a contingent of Kraven troops which appeared to have been dropped behind enemy lines. The squad commander of the 325th Sentinel Legion found this strange, as he had not been notified of any Kraven activities in the area. He approached what appeared to be a Kraven officer, and in a near robotic voice made contact. The Sentinels in his squad watched with suspicion, ready to open fire should the slightest irregularity occur.
Name, rank, serial number, and unit. The commander then stood patiently and awaited the information from the 'Kraven' officer.
OOC: AMF, I have about 150 ships, including 5 SDs and 53 Dreadnoughts, that are firing on your fleet right now, please respond.
IC:
The Posiden's large silver shape extended from the waters of the Gulf, along with dozens of smaller subs. SCF-13 Fenix fighters began launching from the deck of the Posiden, as the fleet CICW systems came online. The Posiden herself held 20 CICW guns and 4 QMSAM launchers, ready to shred any enemy aircraft or missile that flew by.
Meanwhile, on the Posiden, something major was about to happen. Technicians and weapons officers ran along the vast expances of the ship, preparing it's deadly cargo for launch. As Fenixes screamed overhead, 10 silo hatchs on the soaked deck of the Posiden slid open. Steam poured out as water hit the scorching air inside In each was a enourmous missile, it's red tip portruding outwards into the salty air. Inside the bridge, traffic, both visual and aural, flowed between the different officers.
"Hatches 1-5 are open and clear, 6-10 will be ready within 30 seconds."
"This is Fenix Wing A, clearing out of launch zone."
"The Illustrious is clear for Angelfire launch."
"The Dazad is reporting no enemy aircraft in sight."
This contiued for several minutes, until a single sentence stopped it all.
"This is Posiden Missile Command Room, green light to fire Monoliths."
Within second, smoke poured in volumous amounts out of the the open launch hatches of the fleet, signaling that the missiles were launching.
Suddenly, a roar that could be heard for miles came, and hundreds of fingers of flame extended out, as missiles shot upwards from the submarines. Everything from Steel Rain Mk. IIs to Angelfire SLBMs to the massive Monolith missiles streaked into the atmosphere, heading towards a target unknown to anyone but the High Command.
Meanwhile, in GS orbit over Kahanistan
The Rod Cannons that had been loading recived their final targeting coordiantes, and began to fire in a silent symphony, sending tungsten rods at immposible speed towards the AMF fleet. As the first volley of 10 rods streaked towards their target, another loaded, ready to fire when the first impacted.

The fake Kraven commander paused, then tried to sound mannish and Kraven. "Reichsmarshal..." She didn't think there were women in the Capitol Police, so she gave the name of her brigade's second in command, hoping the Freekish Sentinels wouldn't know who he was. He was just some colonel, after all.
"Reichsmarshal... Morgan K. Hampton," said General Levitt. "Serial number..." She gave the serial number in her helmet, which she had committed to memory. "5367-JYQM-9983. Unit... 71st Capitol Police." She cradled the AK-74 in her hands. It wasn't a Kraven weapon. "This was... Captured From an... insurgent," she said to allay suspicion.
"You..." she continued, still keeping up the act, "...are to Cease the invasion of Kahanistan and allow the Corporation to continue the cleansing and Harvesting of Human Resources, and the quick Destruction of Pacified areas with our three-stage Biological weapon." She decided to try for more. "The Tortures and Mass executions of civilians Will stop, they only Stiffen resistance of the Kahanistan Military and armed civilian Populace. Terrorism does Not affect them the way it Does Others, the destruction of Al-Bahr and the Trucks of body parts Prove that." She waited to see if the Freekish commander would swallow her inexperienced acting. Once this war ends, I might go into show business.
At-Tahrir, Kahanistan
The city was far inland and until now, not many thought it would be attacked. It was not a strategically important area. The only thing of note was the largely underground Imperial Marine base a few miles north of the city. A sentry of the 2nd Army spotted troops. Damn. Sentinels coming in this far? Al-Bahr must have fallen. The alarm was raised. The civilians knew that Najaster was far more heavily fortified, and provisioned to withstand a siege of several months. Many civilians fled toward Najaster... Others holed up in bunkers with FAMAS and AK-47 rifles.
Meanwhile, in Al-Bahr, the remnants of the defending forces ordered all surviving citizens to flee, then booby-trapped apartments with barrels of VX and time-bombs. If a Freekish soldier opened the door, the VX barrel would go off, contaminating the whole block. Untriggered barrels would explode over the next 24 to 72 hours, causing casualties and worrying the invaders about the possibilities of insurgents remaining in the city. The defenders then fled to Najaster, with about 1,000 Imperial Marines in NBC suits staying behind, hiding in rubble to harass the invaders with terrorist attacks, snipings, shooting attacks, and assassinations of Freekish officers, hopefully for several weeks.

OOC: Sorry for the crappy post, there's been a lot of sidetracking going on.
**********************
The damage from the Velkyan attack was still be determined, but there had been no counter attack. The governments of both Automagfreek and Velkya had come to terms shortly after the attack had struck AMF ships in the area, and as a result peace had been achieved.
But the business in Kahanistan continued.
Al-Bahr had been shelled without pause for over two weeks, and AMF still did not enter the city. They knew that more weapons of mass destruction awaited them, and High Command was content to continue razing the entire area to the ground. With the main contingent of Sentinels continuing to circle around Al-Bahr and move towards Najaster, the bombardment on the capital city intensified. MLRS, artillery, and guided missiles soon began to appear more frequently and in larger numbers as the massive Sentinel war machine continued on.
The large water treatment plants inside Kahanistan had been targeted by air, missile, and artillery strikes for several days, as well as any large power grids in the area. Main roads and bridges had been knocked out, though Sentinel engineers deployed protable bridges as temporary means of crossing rivers or canyons.
But with the war in Kahanistan beginning to die down, slowly but surely Zander's forces were being recalled from the front lines and replaced with reserve units under Azrael's control. The 406th Legion had committed some of the biggest atrocities of the war, and for their brave fight against the Kahanistani heathens they were given the honor of sacking Najaster itself.
The Fallen had indeed proven to Lord Dreadfire their worth, and the program would certainly not be cancelled now. Though the 406th landed after the massive gas attack, their rage had been fueled by the hundreds, near thousands of dead Sentinels on the beaches of Kahanistan. Now would be their time to extract personal vengeance upon the heathens, and the long range bombardment of Najaster continued to intensify as the hours passed.
Rumors were even beginning to circulate amongst the AMF military ranks that The Fallen had been spotted cannibalizing the Kahanistani dead that littered the battlefields....

Temple of Mars
Najaster, Capital of Kahanistan
General Valens emerged from the temple, where he had just sacrificed a bull to Mars, the god of war. He saluted the Imperial Marine General Kalazanov, who was waiting for him.
"General Valens, the Freekish Army is approaching Najaster. How are we provisioned?"
"I think we could withstand a siege of six months under normal circumstances, but with the whole country pouring in here, I'd say three to four months... Luckily, most of the people who don't have guns, and a few who do, fled the country after taking one look at the... popsicle people."
"Popsicle people" was a black-humor nickname given to impaled victims on stakes throughout the country. It was said that under such times, one who couldn't keep their sense of humor rapidly went insane.
Valens continued. "We need that superweapon from St. Fedski, but only Jupiter knows how it'll get in with the Freekish control over the seas. By the way, how did the subterfuge operation go?"
"I heard nothing from General Levitt since we talked four days ago. That in itself proves nothing. She may be dead... or the ruse may have succeeded... or she could have taken her forces elsewhere. I'll have Intel find out if the trick worked."
Suddenly, a Freekish shell struck the temple as the two generals were across the street talking. The huge General Valens grabbed Kalazanov and threw him to the ground, covering him with his 140 kg mass. Flying debris struck the larger man, but did not seriously injure him.
"What do you know about the Fedski superweapon?" asked Kalazanov.
"It should be able to destroy a Doujin if we can get it close to them... or fire it from artillery, but we have so little in the way of long range artillery..." Valens replied sadly. He loaded his Galil assault rifle and called the nearby civil defense outpost to get them to raise the alarm.
---
Two hours later
General Valens praised Jupiter for the fact that Kahanistan had almost no gun control. The city was fortified like Stalingrad, heavily defended, with soldiers and civilians holing up in shelters.
This area was better defended than Al-Bahr had been, as At-Tahrir and Al-Qamar were by now nearly ghost towns, most of their citizens having fled to Najaster or abroad, with only a few corps of Imperial Marines trapping the cities and preparing for a last stand at Najaster.
Their total strength in the city was 6.1 million troops now, divided into 1.2 million Imperial Marines and 4.8 million Republic Guards, with about 100,000 survivors of the Navy and about 80 million untrained armed citizens, most armed only with pistols, shotguns, and Molotov cocktails, defending their homes and families. Over 70% of the populace had either fled or been killed, and over a million lower-ranking soldiers, demoralized Republic Guards, had fled too. Another million to one and a half million soldiers had been killed in action against the Sentinels.
When the Freekish army arrived, they would sustain such massive casualties that they would likely have to lift the siege before allies came in... or even faster if AMF fell for the ruse and decided to attack Kraven.

The Sentinel commander turned back towards the woman robotically as he waited for the response from Kraven intelligence. Meanwhile his Sentinels continued to police the perimeter and maintain their guard until the unit was cleared by TKC authority.

General Levitt snorted under her CP armor.
Shit. Intel said that the Freeks would probably fire on us after we made our demands. They're confirming whether or not we're who we say we are... I don't like the sound of this.
"The demands Of the Corporation are Not To be trifled With..." she said, still keeping up the act, hoping she hadn't been discovered. "There is no need to Discuss with your Superiors anything of importance... They will Understand that we are Taking control of this War." She fired on the radio and the other fake Capitol Police opened fire with their AK-74's, M-16's, and other weapons. But there were only five thousand of them.
Colonel Hampton, the man whose identity had been used to try to fool the Freeks, radioed the Imperial Marine command in Najaster.
"Mission Failure," said the colonel, still acting Kraven in order to deceive anyone tapping the communication. "Capitol Police brigade under fire, Requesting immediate Evacuation and Assistance, prepare to deploy the Three Stage Bioweapon on the Automagfreek Capital." In reality, the Kahanistan forces did not possess biological weapons, a fact hopefully known to the Freeks. But the Freeks probably did not know who the 'Kraven' troops were, whether they were Kahanistan or other AKA troops. Hopefully the enemy would panic.
The troops then began a retreat toward an old fortification about 10 kilometers south of Najaster. There was a secret tunnel into the city, the troops would hopefully be able to get in if it hadn't collapsed under the shelling. Along the way they fired on Freekish troops who engaged them, sustaining moderate losses, and a few dozen held a perimeter once they arrived. They would distract the Freeks from discovering the tunnel, then, once the main force had entered, the rear guard would enter the tunnel and blow it with C-4 to prevent pursuit.

The inner ranks of the Sentinels began to drop to the ground rapidly, some taking cover and many more cut down in the hail of gunfire. Having been caught of guard while the verification process continued, many were slaughtered in the unexpected attack. The Sentinels that hit the deck safely began to pour on their own barrage of gunfire, and several forward elements began hastily redirecting armor and mortar teams in the area to converge upon the site.
The corpses of the dead were used as makeshift bunkers as the Sentinels continued firing in a blind rage into the enemey ranks, whoever they truely were. No more than a minute or two passed before the first string of 60mm mortars began to fall into the rear and center of the unmasked 'Kraven' units. The surviving officer who had dove for cover crawled to another radio operator and barked across all channels, Enemy activity at grid delta-tango-9'er! Unauthorized presence by units claiming to be Kraven troops, confirmed by Consotrium command to be imposters...
A bullet then connected with the commander's face, sending a shower of gore, skull fragments, and brain matter into the air. Freek armor was beginning to appear on the horizon, and soon they too redirected their fire into the hostile action. More Sentinels streamed from the outer perimeters to fill in the increasing gaps in the Freekish lines, and several fists of Death Dealers could be seen firing their .50 cal mahcine guns madly while absorbing several direct hits themselves.
Forward Sentinel elements also requested close range air support, and several Apache helicopters that had assisted in the siege of several smaller settlements diverted to the battle scene. Only a squad was able to divert, but from high above the action they fired medium range Hellrage missiles and began to pepper the area with 30mm anti-tank chaingun fire. Their movements were erratic in order to avoid enemy gunfire, and they made sure to stay well above the firefight.
Meanwhile, word of the massacre had reached Azrael, who grew enraged as he tried to piece together what had happened. Get me voice recordings and any satellite footage over the past half hour immediately. And get Kraven command on the horn right now, I want to know what's going on out there.

Who the fuck do they think they're talking to? Azrael was furious as he tore the message from Consortium Command to shreds. He wasted no time in spilling forth his anger in a short but to the point reply.
Do not take that tone with me my good man. Perhaps it is you who should be bringing me up to speed here. Mere moments ago a unit identifying themselves as Kraven in origin opened fire on a contingent of my Sentinels.
I want to know what this unit was doing in the area, what their orders were, and why they engaged my forces. I am still going through the transmissions generated over the past half hour, and it seems that after my commander on the ground questioned these forces in the area he was promptly shot.
If these are Kanahistani forces in disguise, I want to know why, in an act of gross idiocy, you allowed uniforms and identification to fall into enemy hands. If these are your forces....then may whatever Gods you believe in show you mercy....
I want an explanation within the hour, as well as any evidence turned over to me personally.

Information provided Indicates that The Command Relay identified Enemy Forces as being hostile, Kraven Command Relay indicates that Uniforms have been procurred from Corpses of Capitol Police troopers during the Xirnium Campaign, It is a possibility that Armour would have sustained battle damage, and would be evident upon close inspection.

As the final elements of the permanent tarmac runway were laid down, the tower guards changed their posts in sequence. After a few weeks the temporary depot had undergone construction to turn it into a permanent base, from with to strike the next AKA Member. The steel walls were being braced with large bars for the moment as equipment was being trucked from one side of the base to another.
Field Marshal Garik Maw was finishing his shot of blood-spirit, from his personal store and under authority of his rank. The com room came alive. He walked in and demanded information.
"Consortium Communications network, Sir. AMF and Kraven sound mad, but we won’t be able to patch through for another two minutes if you want to hear it for yourself."
"No, leave that channel alone. If either of them needed help they would ask. If they want help make sure that we have 8,000 Bearzerker Police, on call, give the units shift depending on when they call and if things get louder then keep me informed. I want to know when they start using big guns."

Najaster, Capital of Kahanistan
The huge capital city was all that remained of a nation under siege. Millions of scared, terrified civilians were hastily planting IED's made from common bomb-making materials and both sides' unexploded ordnance on the roads for the expected Freekish armor.
Facing international criticism for civilians being armed, General Abdullah Hassan al-Ghazi, the de facto ruler of Kahanistan, issued an edict that armed civilians could open fire only in defense of themselves, their families, or their property. He further activated the reserve forces, although this action in practice consisted of little more than the distribution of millions of uniforms to about forty million people, as most remaining citizens were already willing to fight for their nation, their homes, their families and friends.
This should shut those whiners in the international community up, thought General al-Ghazi as he walked the halls of the Presidential Palace. With that drug-taking pussy President al-Za'if away, I can finally have a free hand in dealing with the invaders.
Meanwhile, General Levitt and about half her brigade managed to return to Najaster. Furious at the destruction of her home city, and probably the deaths of her family, she asked General al-Ghazi to allow the torture and murder of captured Freekish troops and to be able to televise the atrocities to the international community. But General al-Ghazi declined, saying that it was unwise to blur the line further between Kahanistan and AMF in the view of the world.
"Further, you run the risk of trial as a war criminal," al-Ghazi had said.
She didn't care. Trial for war crimes was least on her list. She had stood trial before (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=448344), and even flouted the system before, and now, with the prospect of Puritania looming over her head, she figured if she lived long enough to be tried it would be the least of her worries. However, Kahanistan lacked specialized torture implements, torture being against the Constitution of Kahanistan. (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Constitution_of_Kahanistan) For bone clamps, she decided to substitute rifle butts or nut crackers. Nut crackers... I like the sound of that. Lacking a steel roller for disposing of victims, she would simply run them over with a Merkava tank.
Just the highest ranking officers I can capture... if I apply it indiscriminately I would become like them... but I must show the enemy that we are as ruthless as they are. She would also have to keep it secret. If General Valens, or possibly worse, Colonel Sklenova, discovered what she was planning, they would likely turn on her faster than Bretton and Axis Nova, the Base Masters of Treachery, had turned on Kahanistan, their former ally.
Well, at least I don't have to wear that constricting Kraven armor anymore...

DEMOCRATIC SOVIET REPUBLIC OF KAHANISTAN
Office of the President
To: Lord Damien Dreadfire, Supreme Warlord
CC: Warchief Azrael the Advocate
RE: Talks
As you are no doubt aware, I have returned to Kahanistan to discuss peace talks with the Freekish Government personally.
General al-Ghazi, the commander of the defending forces, believes that to surrender is a show of weakness. He and most of the military leadership will likely be agreeable to a negotiated settlement as long as it does not include the term, "surrender."
The rationale behind the military's reasoning is that if we surrender, especially unconditionally, we are just another nation that opposed Automagfreek and lost. If we agree to a negotiated settlement, the militaristic logic dictates, however, we can stand in front of the international community as a powerful and respected military power.
The General sincerely believes that he can win here. His forces are provisioned for months and vastly outnumber yours, even without the armed civilians and reserve troops. If forced to fight, one of two things can happen.
1. He can defeat Azrael's Sentinels and simply not be able to stand up to the next contingent of Sentinels to come. Even if he wins here, he does not seem to realize that the Freekish forces will likely send even more.
2. He and his forces can lose and be slaughtered en masse. Then there would be nothing left of Kahanistan except a large number of expatriate communities all over the world.
Let us end this senseless posturing and discuss terms that will end this senseless bloodshed.
State your terms for peace.
Signed,
Mohammed bin Yusuf al-Za'if,
President of Kahanistan
