The introduction of a new, unusual nation. (Includes a brief history of said nation)

In the year of 2010, on the land of what was Kazakhstan, now torn apart by anarchy, a new nation arose from the ashes, like many others before it. Unlike other nations however, this was was different. VERY different.

It was different because it was surprisingly primative. Indeed, the military of this nation had swords for weapons, and horses as transportation. It was laughable at best. At first glance though.

When met on the battlefield, these "primative warriors" made up for their lack of technology with utter viciousness and tactical moves. Their horses could outrun any modern tank with ease, their swords could cut through iron at the right angle and power, and, most importantly, they were adaptable. They could pick up a rifle, and shoot it with remarkable knowledge after only 1 minute of examining.

This was why this nation, Swordanistan, had completely conquered Kazakhstan. This was why the world was beginning to take notice. These nomads could probably even forge an empire, if they set their minds to it.

Their first priority, however, was establishing a solid nation. With only 5 million people, they weren't going to conquer new lands anytime soon.

So, the head chieftan, Khan Fangol, after consulting his advisors, had decided to extend trade relations with other nations. Trading valuable resources such as gold, iron, and wheat, for technology. They would retain the old ways true, but with only their swords to guide them, even the bravest of warriors knew that against modern technology it meant nothing.

And so, Swordanistan began to reach into international politcs, and begin a new empire.

OOC: Right then, think of these people as modern-day Arabs/Huns/Mongols-under-Gengis Khan BUT with the ability to easily adapt to newer technology quickly. These are very proud, traditional people, and will cut your head off if you piss them off enough. And yes, I used real world style of "making" a map because I suck at making original maps AND, I don't have the program to do it.

Oh... and hello I guess.

Message From: The Pallawish Royal Council

Greetings from The Republic of Pallawish Corporation,

We would like to offer a hand of friendship and would gladly set up an embassy in your fine lands if you give us permission. We are also quite new to the international community but are making our presence felt throughout the community through our war with Honu. We gained power during a rebellion leading to the fall of the great nation known as Pallawish. Due to our privatised army, we seized power and restored order in Pallawish.

Pallawish Corporation hopes to recieve a reply from you some time in the future,

Transimition out..

OOC:
@FutureEngland: About the horses, I probably exagerated there. I'll just say tanks instead of cars. As for the swords, what I mean is anything as strong as iron or weaker, with the right angle and right strength. Thanks for correcting me.

IC:

A reply was sent from the chieftan.

We shall allow an embassy upon our sacred lands. It shall be set up within 1 mile of the capital city. Be warned, however, that my people are very traditional, and are easily angered if you do not obey our customs. Your representatives, once they arrive, will be instructed how to obey the customs, and that shall be their only warning.

If you would be able to direct me to a place where I can purchase newer technology, I will repay your efforts with some of our gold found here.

Always willing to support any new government, the business men at the Terkomai Arms Corporation immediately set about contacting the leader of this new nation.

To: Kahn Fongol
From: Professor Gast
Subject: An offer you can't refuse...

We of the Terkomai Arms Corporation wish to give you a very fond welcome, as well as an exclusive oppertunity to supply your armies!

The offer is quite simple. You deal with us exclusively and no others, and we'll continully supply you and your army with the means to protect your nation at a discount. Otherwise, we'd charge you full price forour services. And, free of charge, we are sending you a very special care package. It's yours to keep and try out, regardless of your decision on the matter.

We look forward to hearing from you.

-Professor Gast

The 'Care Package' was being outfitted and loaded onto two Turbo-prop cargo carriers at a remote Terkomai owned airbase. Once all of the items and odds and ends were assembled, they were placed onto the cargo carriers and both took off, making way for Swordanistan...

((OOC: Please note, the 'Care Package' contains an assortment of GK-48s fully automatic assualt rifles, as well as enough ammunition and spare parts to last thirty soldiers armed with the GK-48s two months of straight combat. Besides the assualt rifles there is also a single Light-Infantry Fighting Unit(Basically an armored personnel carrier with a top-mounted 30mm grenade launcher), with enough ammunition and spare parts to last it for two months of straight combat. Count in an assortment of different types of grenades, thirty Terkomai 9mm pistols, two High-Frequency blades, and ammunition and spare parts and the material end of the care package is finished.
Also included are some technicians who will train some of your people in how to maintain and use all of the weapons and the single vehicle, and show them how to train others.
ICly, the higher ups at Terkomai would expect Khan to supply his personal guard with the weapons, and perhaps use the LIFU as his personal transport. But, you can do with it as you see fit... :P
Other: GK-48 is a Gnufasur variant of the AK-47. It's identicle to the AK-47, only it's manafactured in Gnufasur from material found in Gnufasur.
The High-Frequency Blade is a prototype Vibro-sword, made from special materials. It's actually highly unstable, and without constant maintainance it will stop functioning after a few uses.
The Terkomai 9mm closely resembles your run of the mill Glock, and features some of the same charistics, aka you can put it through the cycle in your dishwasher and it'd still fire. :D Soldeirs who use it tend to refer it to as 'Terk.'

OOC: Wow... not bad...

A day after recieving the "Care Package", the Kahn sent a reply.

This offer is very acceptable to us. We are very impressed by your technology, and would be more than happy to do business with you alone. If you have a storefront, we request you direct us to it. If you don't, we shall place an order here and now.

Our military force numbers at 375,000, so we request that you send enough GK-48s, grenades, and Terkomi pistols for all our warriors, so that every warrior has at least one of each weapon. As for the High-Frequency Blades, we request that, for now, only 8 more be sent.

And for the Light-Infantry Fighting unit, we wish that 11 more be sent.

In return, we shall send you gold, other precious metals, and some of our finest cuts of wheat. We can also can send you what little currency we have.

On behalf of my people, I thank you for your assistance in strengthening our militaries.

You may forgo the wheat. The gold and other precious metals would be more then enough to cover the expenses for the supply shipment.

To help cover the bulk costs of producing and shipping the weapons and supplies to your nation, I would suggest allowing us to construct factories within your nation. That way Shipping time is expediated, and weapons could be constructed from locally obtained materials. If you allow us this, I can have a fleet of designers and construction workers sent in and have two factories up in two month's time, with another three up in the months following. Once constructed, the factories will churn out all the weapons, ammunition, and vehicles your army will need, including materials for tanks, helicopters, and jets. An annual and very nomial fee will ensure that your factories run smoothly and produce the latest Gnufasurian weapons and vehicles. You may even staff the factories with your own workers, once they have been properly trained, and this will help increase your econmy.

We look forward to continued business with you, Kahn.

Subject: Official Welcome

Greetings Kahn. I am President Rufus Mew, and I've been informed that you have entered into a Trade Pact with the Terkomai Arms Corporation. As such, I wish to officially extend a welcome, as well as an offer for a helping hand. Should anyone threaten your borders or soverginity, feel free to call upon our Armed Forces to supply you with the aid you need.

May long life and good health be yours.

~~President Rufus Mew III~~

((OOC: Well, that should be enough to get you on your feet. :D Please note that the 'nomial' fee is mostly to cover the wages of the workers, and there will always be two Gnufasurian workers to one Swordanistan workers, and part of the fee as well as part of all wages goes directly back to Terkomai. I don't have a storefront for them, yet. But maybe I will in the future.
I'll add your nation to my Trade Pact Holders, kay? We can RP the arrival and construction of the factories, or just assume everything goes as planned and works properly. Either or works for me. And welcome to NS! Have fun. :D))
