OOC: Basically the colonization thread for this (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=453192). I apologize for the abruptness, but I'm not exactly in a writing mood.
The survey team was eating lunch on a hill over looking the bay that sprawled beneath them. From their vantage point they were able to watch as the tugboats struggled to move the massive sections of prefabricated harbor into position, the artificial breakwater having already been completed a few days ago.
Off in the distance, they could make out the leading elements of a Izistani battle group that had been sent in to protect the new colony and guard the incoming ships of supplies and colonists. Indeed, the team had heard that seats on the liners that would bear the settlers was hotly contested, and the ships were guaranteed to be filled to their maximum capacity(and perhaps on some ships, over it).
A satellite phone rang and orders were received. The team put away the remains of their lunch and walked back to their vehicle.
