Insuring Our Assets (Hogsweatian Colonies)

Tinsuvilia
12-11-2005, 02:26
After a long while of deliberation, the Reichstag of Tinsuvilia had finally come to the decision that had already long been within the mind of the true leader of the country, Herr Preasidante Ike Duragi.

There would be expansion.

The Reichstag, still not entirely convinced that their leaders lust for power was legitimate, had been presented with an ultimatum from the Preasidante. Either the Reichstag allowed the country to expand peacefully, or Duragi would expand by force.

The discovery of the new land open for colonisation had been a fortuitous mistake on the part of a little known hacker in Tinsuvilia. He had discovered maps and plans of the new continent, and after the government heard of his discovery he... turned them over to the Wietz.

Now, several hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children had take to the skies in order to remove themselves from the growing hell hole that was the Tinsuvilian mainland. But they could not get far.

In order to insure that the people, or, assets as they were now commonly refered to in the Presidential palace, Herr Uuten Vorgen had authorized, under the orders of the Preasidante, the dispatch of over three hundred thousand Wietz Ravuulin officers to the colony of New Reichsburg to fortify and defend the new land against all aggressors.

After only three weeks the command of New Reichsburg was turned over to Herr Vej Preasidante Jerri Korse in a ceremony in the newly established capital of the colony. Before this ceremony, several defensive fortifications were made to the colony, including several measures to guard the river that had been christened Raj Voorsa.

OOC: Defensive measures in place after 3 weeks:

On borders: Several military outposts and checkpoints, including more than 150 machine gun emplacements.

5 miles from borders: Artillery bunkers and grade one entrenchments housing at least 50,000 Wietz Officers.

10 miles from borders: Grade two entrenchments (standard WWI-esque trench) arranged in seemingly random patterns aided by several hundred machine guns.

15 miles from borders: Grade two entrenchments with artillery support.

30 miles from borders: Main artillery encampments, providing cover for the frontlines.

50 miles from borders: Staging points (where men gather for dispatchments etc...) accompanied by strategically placed missile bunkers.

75 miles from borders: Main level of Luft envolvement, with strategically place airfields dotting the area.

80 miles from borders: Strategic Command and Dispatchment Units. Last line of defense.

Between each line of defense lie several hundred thousand miles of high grade anti-personnel barbed wire and various mine fields (I'm not a UN nation so mines are Ok.)

Raj Voorsa defenses:

Strategically place high caliber anti-ship weaponry on the shore-lines, several layers of sunken mines.
