Regarding the weaponry on your spacecraft, it will be pretty much useless in FT NS. Light-caliber KE weapons, like your machine guns and "20 mm" autocannons, will just bounce off starship armor. You'll be lucky if the weapons leave a small dent. These should be upgraded to something more like railguns. If you want to stick with autocannons, they should be much larger.

Also, fusion reactors would generate far more power than nuclear reactors, and would be more feasible for FT. I doubt a starship could generate enough power for FTL with only nuke power, because the energy required for that sort of propulsion is astronomical.

If these problems are addressed, my soon-to-be rebel faction might have use for your products. Have a nice day.

Yes, thank you about the atmosphere deal, I was tired when I wrote it on notepad a while ago.

1) Being kinetic weapons, and the force of propulsion in space, any kinetic weapon would do major damage unless the shields were kinetic as well. If your talking about MT shields on a FT ship, then yeah, you'd get a dent or a small hole. But a dent or a small hole in space, can do a whole lot of damage.

2) Technically my reactors are fission nuclear reactors. Generating more power than a regular nuclear reactor, or a fusion nuclear reactor. The Curium Isotope 247 can only be harnessed through fission from my research. But either way, my engines are not regular nuclear reactors. My wikipedia has everything on it I believe.

3) Back to the weapons. The ship being powered by fission nuclear reactors, the weapons have a small shell with a big bang. In space, they do a helluva lot of damage being propelled at such a high force, in such a short distance. Seeing as I don't believe you'll be fighting at FTL speeds. ;).

(OOC: About this, I thought that Fusion by it's very nature generates more power than any form of fission. Is this not true? O_O. If it's not, please direct me to the source of your information.)

Well, most FT capital starships will have at least a couple meters of armor that your MG rounds have to penetrate to do any real damage.

And a fusion reaction will generate more power than a fission reaction. Most of the time, when people say "nuclear power" they mean fission, even though technically the term could apply either to fission of fusion.
