Lies, Greed and Power… Welcome to Microsoft Wanna Be [Intro/Trade/Embassy Thread]
It was the same grey sky over Microsoft Wanna Be. The factories were as always online and creating products to be shipped to the world from this money worshiping country. Things were as usual running to standards under the direction of the Government Board of Directors which were the country’s current Government. They had assumed control during the bloody revolution that had lasted for five full years.
They did not care for the people but only the money and products they brought to the country to be sold to other countries for profit. The minimum wage was far below most countries but then again inflation was never a problem as the country was founded on production and industrialization. There are six directors with the sixth being the CEO, the person who had the most power.
That CEO was Sylvia Manifestia a brutal women who had assumed control but lying, cheating, framing and killing her rivals to her current position and had since replaced the former Government Board with six loyal partners to serve as the Board. She calls them partners because she has no friends’ only tools and the board knew this very well. Fear kept the country in line and up to supply demand and that was how Sylvia liked it.
Her subordinates were in terms of importance Michael Carter chief of economic issues and trade, Eric Lasangian chief of R&D , Jason Ohn Chief of the Territorial Guard [military], Jennifer Larsen chief of establishing foreign affairs, and Robert Lethler Public Relations Liaison [national affairs].
They all sat in an elegant room which was the personal meeting room of Sylvia so it had the finest material in all of Microsoft Wanna Be. Paintings were hung on the walls, painted by the finest painters in the world; the most comfortable chairs had been prepared and placed for comfort for the meetings.
Most meetings in this room were quick and too the point but others were long and important. This meeting was of the latter kind. They had been called because national production was falling as was resources available to allow production to occur and now Sylvia wanted a solution and fast. She quickly turned to Michael Carter, her gaze piercing his very soul, “Michael, you’re supposed to be on top of these things so tell me what is the solution I desire?” She asked, her voice icy calm now showing any sign of the anger boiling inside of her. The board knew all to well that her current tone meant she was furious and they learned that they’d had better do whatever it is or it’s their life.
Michael’s voice was cracking at first but he regained control, he was after all besides Sylvia the most important person in Microsoft Wanna be. The once cracking voice became full of confidence and courage, “Sylvia, it is obvious we have mined ourselves short, counted our chickens before they hatched so to speak-” He was cut off by Sylvia icy voice, “I do not want no metaphors I want solutions!” Her voice rose and the entire room became silent with fear.
Finally Jennifer spoke her voice unlike Michael did not quiver or shake, “Sylvia I think I may have the solution, simply put we need to accept the fact that we are not invincible on the terms of marketing and the rest. We need to simply accept help from other nations, get resources we are low on from other nations as well as those we are high reserve certain areas for emergency supplies and the like.” Jen sat back in her chair, giving a satisfied look to Michael.
Sylvia smiled a smile that the board had learned to fear, “Michael I am surprised you didn’t find the concept out yourself. Indeed I have had this in mind for some months but I called this meeting to test you dearest Michael.” Concern grew on Michael’s face but Sylvia continued on anyway as if she didn’t notice it, “Yes Michael you have proven yourself incompetent on numerous occasions and now you have broke the ice… Guards remove him from my presence.” Three heavily armed soldiers marched forward and grabbed Michael Larsen and dragged him away. Michael still had that dumb look of concern and shock.
“Now I believe it is time for some new appointments…”

Greetings and hello from Microsoft Wanna be, we have several propositions for several different types of nations. Now many of you have never heard of us as we have kept the same trade partners for several dozen years and we used to run on a find us basis. No longer however do we run on this ideal. Instead we wish to seek out new trade, corporate, and regular allies.
This goes to especially newly started corporations. If you would like to discuss a possible merger of our corporations we would gladly open negotiations. We can also help at the design of Future Technologies [FT tech] and would gladly contribute to the creation of Modern Technology with funding and such.
If you would like to open trade we would gladly return the favor. If you request a resource we will acquire the resource for you. Also if you do not have the sufficient necessities to produce anything we can create factories for you here to produce we however ask instead of payment that we may produce 10 of the same product for every five hundred we produce for you.
