Re: All Embassies Now Welcome!


Hello,
As some may know, my nation is now allowing foreign embassies to be built in land alloted in our capital of Ciudad en el Heilo. These embassies, of course, must abide to all our nations laws, and all items below.

The items follow:
Item: The land allotted for embassies is, and always shall be, land owned and governed by the rightful authority of Graham and Palmer.
Item: Any firing on an embassy by foreign forces is an act deemed thusly hostile to both said embassy's nation and to Graham and Palmer, and appropriate action shall be taken.
Item: The flag of Graham and Palmer is to fly on the grounds of all embassies on it's lands, however, if the embassy's nation wishes to have the flag put lower on its pole or below the embassy's own flag, or if it wishes to not display its own flag, it is acceptable.
Item: The embassy must contain no more than twenty-five armed guards, and no more than ten armed vehicles, and of these only two may be armored. Any number, however, of unarmed vehicles are allowed, they may also be armored. No high-grade explosives of any kind are allowed, and only fifty percent of the armed guard force may have any kind of grenades that wound in such a way to kill or severely maim its victim.
Item: By breaking any of the just laws of Graham and Palmer, or any of the items listed above, your nation may lose the privilege of having diplomatic relations with Graham and Palmer

Should any nation wish to exchange an embassy, Graham and Palmer's shall contain: one ambassador, two senior diplomats, thirty other staff, fifteen soldiers from the Imperial Army, armed with only a BlasTech E-11 Blaster Rifle, two Raptor Walker AT-ST's (http://galacticempire.org/ge_aug_atst.gif), and one armored limousine plus escort of two small police motorcycles.

The Empire would be interested in establishing diplomatic ties with your nation by way of establishing a Generian embassy in Ciudad en el Heilo. The Empire notes and respects the guidelines previously set forth in your most recent open communique, and in accordance with said rules will dispatch the following personnel and vehicles upon completion of the embassy, if the offer is found to be acceptable:

-25 Imperial Praetorian Guardsmen, armed with GIR-47f carbine assault rifles
-2 GLAV light infantry transports, armed but unarmored
-1 G-120 Armored Personnel Carrier
-1 armored GMW A-class armored limousine
-4 AM-73 armored sedans

OOC: This guy's a friend of mine, and I have to say, if Generic empire, a veteran NS player, is willing to exchange embassies with him, then he has established a small foothold in a friendly relationship.

Dear Madam,

The People's Democratic Social Republic of Ariddia is always willing to encourage nations wishing to engage in new bonds of international diplomacy and friendship, and we would be glad to proceed with an exchange of ambassadors. Ambassador Michel Fabien stands ready to represent Ariddia in Graham and Palmer, pending your approval.

We have taken note of the conditions you have listed, and deem them acceptable. We would like, however, to draw your notice to the fact that it is highly irregular to demand the hoisting of the host nation's flag over a foreign embassy, and even more so to retain the land upon which that embassy is located. We request assurances that Ariddian law will be applicable, to a significant extent at least, on the embassy grounds, and that any person entering those grounds to seek shelter or asylum on Ariddian soil will not be pursued by the authorities of Graham and Palmer.

Your request for personnel and equipment to accompany your ambassador is approved, save for military technology deemed significantly more advanced than our own. Hence, we will have to ask that you limit yourselves to more conventional weaponry, and that you refrain from bringing an AT-ST into Ariddia.

If you wish to proceed with an exchange of ambassadors on these terms, please indicate the name of your ambassador, and we will stand ready to welcome him or her to Ariddia.

IC to Velkya, Vampirestan, & Generic empire: Your offers are very acceptable (though I'd like to
see what Vampirestan's sending over). It is a pleasure to greet to you to our developing nation.


Ariddia:

To Louis Jacobson, Secretary for External Affairs, PDSRA:
We firstly would like to say that we feel that regardless of what resides on it, what is on the
ground of Graham and Palmer belongs to Graham and Palmer. We see no reason to keep our
property, and we assure all that this will not severely effect any embassies on our soil.

I would also like to say that, to prevent a very rude first impression, several revisions will be
made. First, laws of the client may be held, so long as they do not drastically contradict those of
Graham and Palmer. Second, if someone were to seek asylum in any client nation may reside in
said nation's embassy for thirty days, in which time they must be transferred to that nation.
Thirdly, although we now lack MT weapons, we are currently looking in the MT market and plan
to build a sizeable MT force. If a nation wishes we refrain from FT, we will substitute
accordingly.

That said, we will not have our embassy unguarded, so we will delay this agreement until such a
time when we will be able to send Mr. Chris Parra with a force armed with modern weaponry
(OOC: though wouldn't take much to level the building anyhow.)
