With approximately 25% taxes and a workforce of 4 million, all of whom make an average of $10,000 a year (OOC: For my calculation purposes, we'll call one day a year. Also, I'm going to artificially set my cost of living fairly low...all my other calculations ended up with like three hundred trillion which seemed outlandish)) I have collected one trillion dollars in taxes. With E500 billion in costs I had a $500 billion surplus. So, I decided to raise the funds needed to accelerate my military. Afte a $200 billion research and development program, I have developed an efficient mass-production technique for EMP technology, which I will sell to you.
Wares:
(Missiles that will let out an EMP pulse on target)
Type A/M - $3,000,000 a piece, affects a one mile radius from impact point. Includes GPS guidance and abort option (so that those terrorists don't succeed when they sneak into your facilities and launch)
Type B/M - $6,000,000 a piece, affects a two mile radius from impact. Features of Type A as well as protection in the form of stealth technology to avoid missile interception.
Type C/M - $10,000,000 a piece, affects five mile radius. Features of Type A and B, additional possibility of two smaller bursts dropped on targets en route to main target. Small bursts cover half mile radius.
(Air-to-ground missiles)
Type A/A: Same as Type A/M. GPS replaced by Laser Targeting.
Type B/A: Same as type B/M. No stealth, features of A/A
Type C/A: Same as type C/M. Features of A/A, additional bursts left out due to size limitations.
(Shielding)
Sheet metal: $200,000 per ton. Use your own factories to shape it. Will block type A bursts. Blocks type B bursts unless within one half-mile. Blocks type C bursts unless within one and a half miles.
My R&D may yet turn out more.

Why use EMP weapons? Because the world runs on computers. With computers, a strong Electro-Magnetic Pulse will fry them. A well placed EMP can be just as powerful as a chemical weapon. You will cripple a society and by teh time the opponent gets running, you can effortelssly walk right past the inoperative tanks, seize the sitting ICBMs, and watch tehir planes fall out of the sky.
