Apocolypse in Bjornoya?
With the recent destruction of Mecca, the current state of Israel, and the outbreak of a seemingly invincible plague, a group of 10,000 elderly religious followers of various Christian denominations dressed in white robes and ascended Mt. Pyrious a few kilometers outside the Bjornoyan metropolis of Necropolis, awaiting the end of days.
The group consists of Christians of all denominations allowed within the nation of Bjornoya. Their leader, Bishop Cardinghan, proclaimed, "The recent acts of God against the followers of the false prophet Mohammed are clear signs that our savior will return soon to purge the world of these evil entities. Rejoice! The moon shall darken, and the seas will turn red with the blood of the unfaithful!"
The majority of the younger Bjornoyan population looks upon these people with a condescending pity. Bjornoyan Diest and High School Principal Danielle Janda stated, "I'm really glad this dogmatic movement has been dying out within our nation. Our society no longer relies on faith to acheive morality, we can deduce what is right and wrong, or better who is right or wrong, through logic and the glorious human spirit rather than relying upon the pretexts of these archaic and blind institutions. It is a shame these people were bred to believe such things."
The Bjornoyan Federal Government has released no address, other than the unofficial reaction of Fraugott Lucy Rand (she laughed heartily before returning to her duties) Scientific communities are pushing for the government to intervene on the basis that the crowd of people atop Mt. Pyrious will cause vast ecological harm to the region. No action or word has been taken or spoken by the Bjornoyan Patriarch yet.
