I had an idea after my recent interest in Aerospace Engineering - an occupation i would like to follow up. and decided what NS needed was a big space station not too disimilar from the ISS.

So here comes this thread, just to see who would be intrested in production of one. that would include anything, from crew participation, launch vehicle, electronics, to fuel and physicists. Any nation may participate.

I remember back last year when i was a newb to the world of II and my first major idea was a space station, everyone else had one. Now i hope that we can give life to the dying MT II.

If anyone is interested then post here, strictly modern so no capital ships or elves and vikings. -

i will get a first IC thread posted if enough people like the idea, and that can be for ic interest and relations between nations and corporation/industries.

I like the idea, i'm PreMT but thinking about joining the ranks of the MT, I could supply a lot of educated people, at last my over-inflated Education budget is going to some use.

well I have the perfect Launch site, the Ninja Strike Team Desert, loads of unadultered wasteland, and as i said before I have a whole nation of Eggheads, check out my nation on NSEconomy, I spend on average 30% on Education, that's got to mean somthing.

Really, an X-15 would be good in this project.

But it is a good idea, and one I'd like to see. I'll try to help, and maybe dig one of those X-15's or SR-71's or maybe a CIA A/M-12 out of retirement.

And, not quite everyone is killing MT II. I still use MT/PMT as much as possible.

im not sure how a military plane would fit into a peaceful space station. sure you could make a shuttle like that and launch it up if you wanted.

I already told you, I would like to supply Technicians, Engineers and Physicists, unless that's a bad idea and you want somthing else?

Our mlitary and intelligence aircraft could be used for testing certain components of the station.

How about making something only loosely based off of ISS?

Well i'd be insterested in this. I can supply some of my shuttles for transportation of crew and supplies (see my storefront link, and go to the space section for more details). I can also supply crew, equipment, materials - pretty much anything.

does anybody have any kind of launch vehicle to fire up. im trying to design my own, but im tripping up at parts.

Ariddia will supply physicists. We are an underdeveloped Third World nation, and there is little we can do to assist in actually building the station, but we can help staff it with well-trained and committed scientists.

West Ariddia (our rich, capitalist neighbour) has offered to provide technicians and physicists, and also to help design the station, provide raw material, workforce, and advanced electronic equipment.

I do believe that I offered my space shuttles to help with this endevour, so that should solve some of your problems for that.

im sorry too, yes we can use them, its proper rockets to fire up larger parts aswell. but yes use the shuttle.

remeber this is still the ooc page, in the IC thread state your intrests in production etc, in a formal manner.

Hmm... Another space station? Like the ISS? It seems that there may be a space race. LOL. Potty 5 (a mt/pmt nation) would love to support an INTERNATIONAL space station but alas we have just completed a huge space station project and the creation of another space station would be redundant at this time for my nation... but we would be willing to send over some old ICBMs. These can put some stuff in orbit. If you think an electromagnetic mass driver could be done in MT look at my aero-space thread (I think it is pmt but it is theoretically feasible with today’s technology).

Novacom would be willing to supply the use of the Launch Facilities of Trinarigungo Island in addition to Telgan Rockets as well as the Manufacturing Capabilities of Novacom Manufacturing as well as scientists and other personell, critical to the running, maintence, designm construction and resupply of a Space based Facility.

My nation could dedicate two of its launch vehicles (it use a shuttle based on the Soviet Buran-Energia system) as well as a nuclear reactor and a medical reserch facility (paid for by its immence healthcare budjet).

OOC: Damn! I'm near-future tech, too late. Although a unified space station for nations like mine that regularly send out space missions but are still in their infancy spacewise sounds appealing...

novacom i noticed your use of combat mechs, you do realise this is a modern tech RP otherwise its perfectly fine.

let me run through the "chapters" of this.

chapter1. we start off by getting a meeting of delegates in the rather nice dvorijsgrade hotel.
we decide who does what and the people go home.

chapter2 the design phase, designing the space station considering all parts needed and such. - IC discussion types.

chapter 3. production of parts. may be role played or just a well written "production of 10000 bolts completed."

chapter4. the launch phase. - role play transport of parts to launch site. multiple launches possible.

chapter5. the assembly of parts in space. Rp this well, this will be the role of kosmonaut nations.

chapter6. national celebrations and so on.

chapter7....?...?...

remember this does make it sound really really long and complecated, but it isnt really. chapters just make it sound proffessional and separate the distinct parts for simplicity.

I do realise that, and I do RP MT and PMT, in MT they're not great and are highly experimental in PMT is where they shine. Though if anyone's really not happy i'll swap em out with the Last Fighter design Novacom made before switching over, the Virage series, I am right in assuming this is roughly 2005 period RP terms? if so then it's Vanguard Virage.

Done and do inform me if there are any changes in the year, as in 3005 the Vanguard Virage the last model of the Venerable Virage COmbat Jet series was brand new, though no bugs these had been ironed out by the Commodore Phase. Also of Note Parralax Transports were used for over 50 years with only some cosmetic changes to incorporate different technolgoies so the appearence of it in PMT and MT I hope isn't alarming.
