"Dramatic scenes today, as Praetorian Gaurd and National Defence Troops surround the 532 registered places of worship this morning. The Deputy Minister for Internal Security stated the troops are under strict instructions to not fire unless fired upon... wait.. it appears the troops are entering the Trepolis Christian Church, just behind me..."

The camera pans out to reveal a mass of troops decked in black knee length black jackets and deep black uniforms to the left and a second, smaller, group of standard military troops.

A man in sporting a star black magestrates gown marches to the door of the church and knocks.

This is a Tarlag News Service Report.

A peaceful demonstration of about 2,000 members of the Children of Abraham in front of the Rotovian Embassy in New Port today was rocked by violence.
About one hour into the demonstration organized by Brother Joseph Merryweather of the First Church of Tarlag, an RPG round rocketed over the heads of the protesters and struck the embassy building on the second floor.
Then a half dozen armed gunmen attempted to rush the embassy gates. The attackers were turned back by heavy fire from local security forces in place for the demonstration. I would like to give my full support to the National Secularism Act. While, as of yet, the Soviet Union allows religious freedom - even in public - a new act is being displayed before the Supreme Soviet that could change this and call for an immediate seizure of property from churches, religious institutions, and registered religious academies. This new piece of legislature, deemed the Theological Ruination Act. The TRA is a new set of legislature designed to advance material consciousness amongst the Soviet people in order to pull them from the vile grip of religion and 'the great lie.'

The Rotovian Government will not disclose documents perdenant to national security, unless the documents relate to a specific threat again the enquiring nation, within it's sovereign.


Ps. It is common practice for documents issued from within R.I.O. to be censored, with the removal of identifying information before being transmitted. The authenticity of said documents may be verified by contacting the relivent government department.

The fact your government cannot identify a document is not my concern, nor will any other of your adminsitrations incompetencies be made my concern.

It is my hope that your nation enjoys counting, because I can assure you that these juvinile methods are of little concern to the Republic.

Rotovian aircraft do not currently cross TFR airspace and the Rotovian Transit Authority has not reports of aircraft wishing to do so.

There is currently no State of Emergency within Rotovia, perhaps your intelligence bureus require to be staffed by persons of some degree of intellect and not run by bafoons...

I wish to request some information from your government concerning your plans towards Rotovia. If Rotovia's mistake counter hits zero what are your intentions? Tarlag is in the same region as Rotiva and if you are planning an attack we would like to be informed, we do not want to be caught in the crossfire. At present my government is attempting to avoid an armed conflict with Rotovia but if the shooting starts and the trial of the "tax evaders" is not above board public pressure on the Duke may bring about us joining up in the shooting.
I do give this word of warning if any Tarlag civilian or military ship or aircraft is fired on by either side there will be consequences. The TDF will respond to any attack with extreme force. You shoot one of ours we will shoot five of yours. Tarlag walks softly but we carry a BIG stick.

By tradition, the top of Temple of Deoyus Piter must be the highest point in our cities; however, there is no law prohibiting the building of temples, or in this case churches, of other religions. We would be willing to build churches in our own nation for such citizens to attend, and offer them full Kharan citizenship. We merely ask that they make no attempt to supress our own religion, and no harm shall come to them. We shall freely provide church facilities for their religious group, as we would for our own fellow children of Deoyus Piter.
