I've been thinking about doing a Generian Legion Etrange RP for some time now, and have talked to a few people who said they'd be interested so I decided now's as good a time to begin as any with the conflicts brewing throughout the Bornerifreudic Empire.

There are alot of Foreign Legions out there, but none of them really had any true roleplays that followed the recruits after they signed on, at least not that I noticed. To remedy that, this RP would take a handful of characters from different nations and backgrounds and follow them through the Imperial military training program and later actual deployment as a squad. Conflicts and relationships between the recruits would be interesting to follow as they developed during the arduous course of Generian Imperial infantry and special forces training, and culture clashes would be numerous and dramatic. At least that would be my hope.

So if you're interested in sending someone, post your potential candidate here with a brief bio, and then I'll select a half dozen or so people to participate in the IC thread.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the characters you send CANNOT be current members of any nation's armed forces.

There are no standing requirements for military backgrounds, and personally I would prefer it if they did not have formal military training for RP purposes, but whatever you want to do is fine with me. They'll have to be in acceptable physical condition, which is generally standard good health and fitness, no debilitating diseases, mental illness (perhaps some exceptions), etc. Criminal backgrounds will be overlooked providing the other criteria is met.

Gracius served in his local law enforcment agency for 6 months, then he was discharged for un-necessary violence, his superiors described an unhealthy addiction to it. Naturally the Borman Armed Forced sought him out and recruited him. He was discharged several years later as his lust for members of the female speciment carried him to rape a Borman woman he mistook for an enemy woman while on campaign.

He took up a job as muscle for organized crime in Generian cities. Generian law enforcment cracked down on his syndicate, everyone with ties to it was killed, except for him. He killed two officers and wounded others in his flight from his job and Generia.

Since then he's been bounding around countries, not staying for more than a year as his crimes and/or attachment to violence catch up to him.

Physical Description: Long scar from base of jaw to right eye, vivid blue eyes, spiky blond hair, lean/gymnastic type build, a height of 5'8".

After watching the television recently, James Ruuvarri had been stricken with a wonderful idea. The ad had promised adventure, excitement, and a new life. He certainly needed one of those. James had been unlawfully arrested several months ago, but had somehow managed to escape from the prison.

He now stood in front of his neighborhood magazine stand with the form to his new life in hand. He eagerly filled out the missing information and took the next boat out of Mesho. It was a dying town anyway. The Gruenbergers would be there in no time. He was doing the right thing.

James turned again to the shores of his homeland, and bade them fare well.

James Ruuvarri is known as a deadly criminal, capable of almost inhuman acts of terror and evil. He is charged with the deaths of 16 children and two adults in a bombing on a Mesho School District bus, and with numerous other counts of crimes, including rape and theft. Considered to be the third most dangerous man in Zanziik today.

Criminal Record: Assault (2x) and Unlawful Duty (x4)
Military Record: Was in the Norman Militia (though he is not the militia's leader) when it sided with Christopher Bradley and helped defeat the Moore Family. Though he has no real military training.
Brief Character Biography: Norman was a lumber worker at a mill prior to the centralization of Saint Alpha, when the nation began to centralize he joined Norman's Militia to attempt to take over the state (being promised a lot of profit also). While defending sections of West Saint Alpha he was convicted of Unlawful Duty several time. When Norman's Militia joined up with Christopher Bradley he participated in the assault on the Moore Housing. Afterwards, he was banned from the military by the State. He saw this ad and decided to give it a try.

all it is, is a lone person... nothing to do with international relations (You could even make the person have a disdain for your country, so they joined your enemy).

Maybe... just maybe... Shalin Khalid folded the Generian recruitment brochure in her hands over and over again, her waist length, raven black hair falling across her face, hiding it in a flood of cast shadow. Sitting in her cheap and threadbare apartment, she stared at the hard and dusty concrete floor. There, lay a bottle of black market sleeping pills, an MP Ordanance L-26 10x32mm military standard sidearm, and the Generian recruitment brochure. It was one of the three choices.... A hard one to make....

Shalin heard a knock on the flimsy plywood door. Better think fast. Now or never....

She picked up the gun in her slim, olive brown hands and stuck the recruitment brochure in her pocket. I'm coming right out , she thought.

Another knock. Yup.... Shalin racked the slide on her gun and raced over to the door, kicking it outwards. Two men in checkered headdresses wrapped around their faces flew backwards from the impact. One of them lost his grip on his DR-31 assault rifle as he flew backwards through the air. The other one slammed against the door on the other side of the hallway, but maintained his grip on his weapon. Too late though. He already found himself staring down the barrel of Shalin's gun.... And then his head exploded. Another explosion followed soon afterwards as the second thug dived for his gun sitting on the ground. Shalin could hear the various screams of the people living in the cheap tenement.... Yet another violent incident.... Damn.

Quickly bursting through an open window, Shalin made her escape into the alleyway below. Now to get to the docks before the mob sent more guys...

Dishonorably discharged for insubordination after successfully capturing a superdreadnought with an MP Naval Commando Battalion.

Brief Character Biography: The product of a rich MP Arab Oil Baron raping one of his Malaysian maids, Shalin grew up abandoned on the streets of Arab Settlement #13 near the docks, becoming the property of a pimp, Muhammad Kabar. After killing Kabar with her bare hands, she stowed away on a merchant marine at the age of 11, and then joined the Pwnage navy after lying about her age 3 years later.

Shalin showed incredible talent for killing things, hitting 50 out of 50 targets at 300m with a BR-1 assault rifle, then qualifying for naval sniper and following that, naval commando soon afterwards. After several actions involving the assassinations of some random tinpot dicators, which she was decorated several times for heroism, Shalin was promoted to Master Chief, in charge of her own naval commando battaltion.

During one of many of MP's naval battles, Shalin decided to lead a daring assault on an enemy superdreadnought, capturing the huge ship and taking its crew prisoner. However, due to petty rivalry and quite a few other candidates wanting her post, Shalin was court martialled and dishonorably discharged from the Pwnage navy for insubordination, as she did indeed act without orders.

Returning home to MP, Shalin worked as a mob assassin before coming across this brochure one day. Luckily, she grabbed it just before the mob decided it would be cheaper to kill her than to pay her....

Criminal Record (if applicable): Not literally "criminal," but he often got into fights at school, though he was convicted of attempted arson at a anti-Euroslavia rally. He was given a sentence of either five years in prison or join the Foreign Legion, so he chose the legion.
Military Specialization/Military History (If applicable): For a Sarzonian, he's excellent at hand-to-hand combat.
Brief Character Biography: Lopez is the nephew of both Sarzonian Army Major General Mike Quinn and Blue Cobras Commandant Colonel David Quinn, but Emilio Lopez and Sally Quinn Lopez had all kinds of trouble keeping him on the straight and narrow. He often got into trouble in school for drawing "violent images" all over his notes instead of doing classwork or homework.

Lopez was adamantly against joining any branch of the Sarzonian military, calling it a "den of cowards" after Sarzonia's withdrawal from Inkana, though the Pantera war made him at least consider his uncles honourable.

Name: Titus Pullo

Military History: Served with distinction with the Imperial 13th Infantry in Jararium, fighting rouge tribes refusing to pay homage to the Emperor. Personaly killed well over twenty enemy soldiers, was dishonorably discharged and sold into slavery after going into battle drunk, and beating up his lieutenant. However, thanks to a new program being implemented in the Imperial military penal system, Pullo was offered the chance to serve in the Generian foreign legion. Not wanting to face shame in the arena, he gladly accepted.

Criminal Record: Drunk and Disorderly (19x), Resisting Arest (15x)

Character Bio: Born into a poor urban family, Titus excelled in school (which is essentialy military training), and quickly found himself serving in the Imperial Army. While he is not leadership material, his instructers made note of his superb profeciency in combat. He quickly rose to the rank of corporal in the Imperial 13th Infantry, serving as a regular. He is also a superb marksman. If there is a severe flaw with Titus Pullo, it is that he's a drunkard. And he always seems to be getting himself into some form of trouble.

I'd like to join in, ive always wanted to try something along these lines with one of my inhuman Capitol Police troopers, however i understand you don't want people to use people in the current military of nations, so i came up with an idea that i will implement during the role play if i am allowed to join.

Bio: THX 8421 was a Capitol Police trooper, he still retains the Protect gear that these inhumane soldiers all wear, apart from the Gasmask and helmet are missing, this man is no ordinary man, even before birth their bodies are altered to be the perfect soldier, they carry out orders without question and every drill is perfectly timed. THX 8421 lacks all human emotion, he is an automaton, however since loosing his helmet and gasmask the Command Relay has been broken, and he is comming to terms with the fact he is no longer reciving instructions, he seeks a purpose in life, and is looking for a reason for his existence, he is constantly questioning who he is and why he is here, for all intents and purposes THX 8421 has become selfaware

Brief Character Biography:
Enhedu's parents were killed in a fishing accident when she was very young, and she spent several years shuffeling through orphanages until she was finally accecpted into a foster home.
Her school life was riddled with failures. Enhedu never took well to math or the arts, what she did well was physical training. When she finished school she took a heavy interest in the Special Operations branch of the Sumerian Armd Forces, and was quickly accecpted to SORTU17 (Special Operations Recruit Training Unit 17). Six months of intensive training and she was discharged on battery charges for assaulting another recruit.
In the years following she lived on the streets of many of the major cities in Sumer, stealing her way through life. A Generian Foreign Legion brochure had come her way after she robbed a newspaper stand. She imediatly fled the country, hoping to set herself for life in another world.
Enhedu speaks, reads and writes Sumerian and Arabic fluently, with a decent competence in English, Taino, and Latin.

Now 18, he's finally old enough to join the military, and chose to join the foreign legion.

Born in Oured over 40 years after the end of Selken War, Chris was an exceptional learner and a skilled athlete. Graduating 5th in a class of 4,000 at Osea State Univeristy with a masters in Aviation, he later joined the Velkyan Army and became a Luna gunship pilot, distinguishing himself during the Korridian intervention. Later inducted as a pilot into Halo force, he was apart of the raid on the terrorist-held ocean liner Forina. After a grusome friendly fire accident involving a drunken gunner, he was dishonorably discharged. He disappered, becoming a mercenary. He ended up joining the legion due the lack of findable jobs.
Appearence: 6' with slightly long brown hair and brown eyes.

Brief Character Biography: He's a Sawney. Was deployed numerous times on secret-ish missions that usually involved blowing things to high heaven. He's lived his life and has now been instructed by Hannon high command to find a nice military like place to train and die in. He hopes to one day go on a suicide mission.

I'm thinking of sending a couple of washouts from the Freudotopian SAD (Shock Assault Division), the most brutal and bloodthirsty of the Freudotopian Army. They were rejected for hostile behavior bordering on the sociopathic. They have been completely unable to adapt to life after the SAD, and this represents their only opportunity to join a military that won't disbar them, and keep themselves alive and out of jail in the process. Three or four should be enough. How's that sound?

Exactly. DMG's character is probably my favorite so far, and the most original, but I like the conscience issues with Theao. Good stuff, good stuff.

I tried not to make an "uber-soldier" contribution. Since SpecOps training in my nation lasts 2 years before they get trained in a soecific area, another 2 years, she washed out early.

Sorry, Ill step out then, its nothing personal but the way my nation is ran normal civilians would'nt be allowed outside the country to join the military, and the way the Corporation is so oppressive with its military regime, joining a foreign legion would be the last thing they wanted to do.
