For the past eleven years, the Reich had been allowed to live in relative peace and prosperity, with a few minor conflicts, whose names are unknown by history. In 1907, the Second German War began, with the invasion of Czechoslovakia, a war that showed the dangers of trench warfare, but they learned and plowed over the Rhineland. They took East Hungary, Denmark, and Romania.

Many belived the expansion of the Reich was cmplete, but there were whispers throughout the Reich, that the expansion was not complete. The whispers were almost silenced after the Romanian War, however, the whispers are screaming now, and they scream for an invasion of Bulgaria, thirsting for the Turks to bepushed out of Europe, once and for all. The tensions between the two empires has been escalating for some time now, and they are to a point where the only question is who will strike first, the Turks or the Germans, The Germans have the advatage in leadership, technology, training and mobility. However, the Turks have an edge in soldiers, and in knowledge of the territory.

Boris Groo inhaled the fumes of the majaguana, and pressed his head against the steel armor of the HS-129 bomber, and thought about what was ahead of him. He had been the pilot of this plane in the Romanian uprising of ’41 when he and the rest of the 6th Luftwafffe fire-bombed the rebel positions in the Night of Fire, in which the rebel stronghold of Iasi, the entire city transformed into an inferno of screams, some which Boris could hear over the drone of the engines. He remembers crying for them to stop, and let him do his job, with chants of “Nien!”

He had been order to bomb the city of Ruse, a city on the border, that was full of Turkish soldiers, here to defend there countries imperial ambitions, just like he is here to feed his. They were young boys he and the 21 other bombers were sent to destroy, the only mistake that they made was to be born a Turk, and not a European, a Slav was no better, they could be destroyed, and same with a Jew, the only ones that the Kaiser cared for was Westerners, like himself. He now stepped into his plane with the others of his crew. They, along with the 21 other HS-129s, 36 J-87 dive bombers and the 70 Me-262’s flew off toward the city, under them the soldiers drilled for the ground invasion, and the bombardiers loaded their long-range cannons with shells, shells to crash upon the Turks and make there blood run into the Bulgarian countryside.

OOC: I have already said this, but "Eastern Hungary" is unclear. I am assuming you mean Galicia? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/71/Austria-hungary.png

IC: We cannot accept this unjust invasion of Turkey. Cease your attacks, or we will aid Turkey and retake our rightful land of Galicia.

[OOC: For French interference refer to the my thread, where most of the deployments and such are going to take place, and were the invasion will most likely take place. I like to take things slow, as you know, so you'll have enough time to move your men around to make it less of a disadvantage for you.]

{OOC: Of coarse! Attack the little man! Lol, j/k. This will be fun. One more thing, just so we both know. You have an advantage in leadership and technology (in the sky only basically, I'm not the Ottoman Empire of 1914). We are even when it comes to Training. And I definiately have an advantage in mobility (which is what I'm based around). As for the ME 262s, while you have a major advantage there, I do have fighters based around the Spitfire and upgraded. Not to mention my whole military is based around them, so if you find a few radars here and there (not nearly as much as Britian, but a few) then don't be overly shocked. Besides, I fought hard for the Balkans, I'm going to defend it just as hard.]

The siren rang and the only thing Petar could think was, This is real. From the look of things and the reasons the commanders were shouting to their officers as they ordered them around, appearntly a lone radar had picked up a German bomber squadron of around fifteen or so flying towards the province of Bulgaria. While there was no offical declaration of war as of yet, Germany was considered a very dangerous and unstable Empire or 'Reich' as the Germans wished to call it. While he placed his gear on and began to rush towards his T-101 "Magic Carpet" a copy and upgrade of the British 'Supermarine Spitfire' he couldn't help be realize his situtation. He was a Macedonian, conscripted into the Ottoman Air Force to figth for them. He did not hate the Ottomans as some other Macedonians did, in fact much of the resistment towards the Ottomans died when their lands were industralized and treated fairly. Has he jumped into his 'Magic Carpet' he immiedately began to start it up by flipping a sieres of switches which by now was automatic of him when he entered the aircraft. He sat and watched a dozens of other plans began to fly off the runway and finally he was given the green light by the men on the ground. He carefully controlled his 'Magic Carpet' threw the first steps of turning it completely straight onto the runway. With that he increased the throttle and the plane accerlated down the concrete pavement and eventually lifted off into the air.

As soon got with his designated squadron and began to fly towards the border. As he passed over the land he couldn't help but look down and see how the guys on the ground where doing. He could see a fury of panic from the little dots as they assembled themselves. The hundreds of tanks rolled around the ground and the halftracks carrying troops did the same in coordination with the tanks. He knew while the Ottoman Empire lacked air power, it was overwhelming good at land power. As returned his attention to the planes around him and began to guess the numbers, he assumed around a two hundred and fifty. That, combined with other dive bombers and strategic bombers was what was known as the Bulgarian Air Wing, which actually consisted more of Bulgarians than anything. Even if they didn't like the Ottomans they would fight feverishly to fend off the Germans whom may attempt to bomb their homes or occupy their land. Bulgarians weren't willing to trade one dictator for another.

As the formation of fighters, better known as 'Magic Carpets' came within fourty miles of the border, they rose up and into the clouds. Knowing the terrain and weather conditions better the Ottoman air planes stayed together, albiet a few did vary off coarse but not by much. As they appoarched the border they are just in time as the Germans were coming right over the border and preparing to carry out their mission, whatever it may have been. Due that the sun was covered by the clouds, the fighters swooped down from the clouds going into vertical dives. They already knew their objective: destroy the bombers. They knew they could not take on the ME-262s, they were what was known as 'Flying Death' to the Ottomans. Two hundred fighters (which was 40 squadrons) immiedately did their first shots against anything that looked even remotely similar to a bomber. In some cases they were actually aiming at bombers, at other times they may have just been shooting at the ground, or at a ME-262. In any case they may have gotten the slip on the Germans, they may not have. Fifty fighters (10 squadrons) were designated to attack only bombers, but they suffered the same confusion as the others. They were unsure as to what was a German bomber and fighter. The first Ottoman Air Force blunder had been made.

{OOC: Erm...sorry if this is 'godmode'. If it is, let me know and I'll rewrite it. Sorry.}

OOC: I think that those numbers are a little big, this is a quick raid, they are only in one area, the planes from all over the front would not be heading towar this small of a raid, but that is just what I think

IC:Jakob, looked though the glass of his Me-262 as the magic carpets came, flying at him. He and the rest of the Me-262 pilot licked there chops as they chased down Magic carpets, with relative ease, for the piston powered fighters were no match for there speed or firepower. The bombers, with their many guns, were holding up relativly well against the attack, however, many were running on 3 engines, 4 had lost 2, one had already lost one engine and was high-tailing back to the airbase, hoping to make it back before they were dealt a fatal blow, and another was hit in the gas tank, and were losing oil to a leak, and had to go back to the base as well, lest they were going to fall into enemy hands. They were taking quite a beating, but nothing like that of the dive bombers, which were simply being taken down by the Turks, for they had been modifed, taking away all of there defensive weapons in order to gain more speed. The dogfight aproached Ruse, unceasing in the intensity of the battle, the bombers that were still there began to drop the payload onto the enemy as fast as they could so that they could get out as fast as possible.

Petar was shocked at how many planes had already fallen. From what he could tell threw the shouts on his squadrons comm link, around forty planes so far while only a few ME-262s were down, but some of the bombers were damaged while the Dive Bombers were all gone. The 'Magic Carpet' was being tested under fire and so far it'd given an acceptable level of preformance.

The squadrons, aftering suffering heavy losses, began a new tactic against the ME-262. They broke ranks and the sky was looking like flies swarming around. In the chaos, plans begin to try and partner up (two-by-two), though due to inexperiance and lack of practice some groups had four and others wound up having only one. In the chaos, these inequal groups would target a ME-262 and charge it and attempt to quickly take it down, hoping to nullify the ME-262s speed advatange by using surprise hit-and-run tactics.

With this going on, the ten squadrons designated to attacking bombers continued their campaign. They knew that there was now no way to stop the bombs from falling on Ruse, but these raiders would by no means be going home. They began to target the most damaged plans first and destroy them quickly before turning on the next plane. The large number of fighters would soon begin to overwhelm the outnumbered German bombers.

---

On the ground the situtation wasn't any better. The bombs met their mark and detonated. Soldiers weren't nessecarily inside the city, as much as they were on its outskirts in trenches and concrete foritifications. Though the hundreds of troops that were inside the city while being transported to the front quickly find themselves in a place similar to hell. The bombers hit several large buildings, causing them to collapse or cave in, while other smaller buildings were completely destroyed sending debris in all directions killing soldier and civilian alike.

A convoy of soldiers in halftracks was going threw the city and attempting to get out as quickly as possible. Unfortunately for them the road they were on was a target for the bombers. The troops in the last few halftracks watched as a seires of explosion ripped from down the street right up to them, before they could move bombs hit the halftrack directly completely vaporizing most of the troops. The convoy carrying a hundred troops was, in less than a minute, completely wiped out. The bodies that weren't turned back into the elements where laid out across the roading as smoking heaps of flesh and bone. The city went into a panic as people then rushed for shelter fearing the bombing wasn't over. Due that the city was so close to the border with Germany and the fact that part of the army was stationed here a large number of anti-aircraft guns which would otherwise not be here, we established and quickly being manned. Though they did not fire, they would attempt to tighten the carnage to a smaller perimeter. They began to unleash a hailstorm of flak around the edges of the dog fight. Any plane, but it German or Ottoman that attempting to go threw the ring would quickly find their plan being shredded by flak. The wall of flak was high and thick as dozens of flak guns took up the rather overwhelming task of keeping the flak wall up.

OOC: There are a few dive bombers left, there are about 12 left, do not post my losses or else you will be ingored, also, i find it suprising small figures for the magic carpet losses, they are out matched by the Me-262's, and also, a solid wall of flak is a total godmode.

IC: The Me-262 were prepared for the new stragtegy by the Turkish fighter, they were for the most part unphased by the sneak attacks, they would merely manuver around the attack. The Turkish troops strategy was very risky given the wild flight around in the air, and the verteran pilots knew that it would not be long before the planes began colliding on a large scale. the bombers went through the layer of flak around them, and they took a few hits, however the damage was mostly superficial thanks to the extra armor on the heavy bombers, the dive bombers remaining retreated back to the HQ. The endless swarms of planes were easy for the crack-shots in the ball turrets for they had much experience in the art of warfare from the many wars they had been in. They simply just picked of the chaotic fighters of the Turkish air wing. Soon they had dropped their payload completely and made their way back to the air-base. They all expected to be back by dinner, the first meal of the Third Great Expansion

[OOC: Before you go off on a needless rant, let me get something straight. A.) This fight has only been going on a few minutes, you're planes [no matter how technologically superior] are going to wipe out a hundred plans in less than ten minutes. B.) No need to get ranty about it, I misread your post and thought you said the Dive Bombers were gone. C.) My mistake, I thought you'd understand, poor wording on my part. The 'wall' of flak isn't very effecitve. One, my flak gunners are inexperianced and thus there isn't a real wall of flak, its more like sporadic ring that pops up every now and then. Two, your ME-262s are jets...how exactly do you expect my guns to hit you when you're nearly breaking the sound barrier? Third, this is primarily being done to take out your bombers, with combined flak and fighter attack. Considering you got all angry with this, I won't state any of my problems with your post below.]
