Snow, flags and blood

Hockey Canada
02-11-2005, 17:39
It was yet another cold night in Otnorot, Hockey Canada- the capitol of the wintery communist country. Prime Minister Ondrea Di Lorenzi was sitting at her desk looking out on the snow softly falling. Sitting alone in the dark of her office, which resembled a villain's lair with all the chrome, she looked down at the swarm of people a few kilometres to the southwest. Just a few hours ago people were waking up to another nice, normal day in Hockey Canada. Kids were running off to school, civilians were going to work, people were happy. But not everyone can be happy.

In the underground movements in Hockey Canada, a far right-wing party were discussing a way to overthrow the government and punish those innocent people who supported the socialist beleifs of Hockey Canadians. Gregori Haryotovic was with his syndicate of "The New Hockey Canadian Workers Party", known as the Nazis of the Tundra (NT). Haryotovic had a grim look on his face when he saw the men he would lead into southern Otnorot- grotesque men with looks that could kill... not to mention the shabby-looking guns they had. Gregori was born in southern Hockey Canada near the border of Nova Britannicus, the only child of rich diplomats, he had the opinion of a new shaped Hockey Canada in a way no one could fathom- inslave all left-wing supporters so the right-wings could prosper.

A few years later Gregori's influence attracted that of a few other men whom he promised power in a reshaped Hockey Canada. They grew in numbers secretly and soom amassed a movement that would be a threat to the powerful government. But today the NT was going to do something even Haryotovic shuddered to think of. Hold hostage of 7 Hockey Canadian parliament members in order to recieve credit as a party in Hockey Canada.

Things looked normal in the afternoon, kids coming home from school, adults returning from work- nothing out of the ordinary. A few people seemed to be coming home from work late but it was nothing to worry about- just the people with the seemingly worse-off jobs in the Hockey Canadian workforce. A few people grouped on the outskirts of the city did cause some wonder in the government as well as citizens. A few lights on sticks did cause worry for civilians. Phones ringing at the Otnorot Police Station all eventually had the same cause- a mob was forming at the edge of Otnorot.

In the mob was none other than Gregori Haryotovic leading them shouting "FOR A FREE NATION! YOU MUST ENSLAVE THE OPPRESSORS!!!". Forces were massing at the edge of the city to defend Otnorot from this new threat but to no avail. More and more people joined the mob to support this new party as they forced their way to the gates of the parliamentary residences. 4 members went out the door to see what was going on while several other looked out windows to see what the commotion was about.

A few haurs later in the darkness of night, despite intervention of police, 7 members were taken and tied up. A van pulled up to the front of the mob to take them to the outskirts. Ondrea Di Lorenzi was watchign all this happen from the shadows of the Hockey Canadian Red Tower (main parliament building). Watching with a stern look on her face, she opened her cell phone. "We're going to need help with these rebels."

The next morning the city awoke in panic. Thousands of civilians were phoning the Hockey Canadian government asking for explanations. The armed forces were strong enough to defeat the rebellion but their numbers seemed to mass each hour. Men and women taking the side of the growing power, they ran to the outskirts where the NT had established a foothold on the city. The snow was falling and wind blowing fiercely causing tight, bundled up people. Government armed forces couldn't distinguish the rebels from the civilians if they wanted to.

Pleas of support were sent from Hockey Canada... borders now opened to whoever wanted to help the government and stop what the NT was planning to do. Keep order in Hockey Canada and defend, or start chaos in Hockey Canada and join the NT. Neighbours were being split apart from each other.
