Peru Joins the Empire
(Layarteb City) - Monday, October 31, in celebration of 848 years of independence, the Empire of Layarteb moved into Pelepian Peru. After widespread reports of anarchy and a collapse in the governmental authority following the assassination of the Pelepian Head of State and Government, armored and infantry units from the Province of South Eastern Virginia moved in to secure Peru for the Empire. News is sketchy at the moment but we expect more throughout the day.

The Republic of Ireland Completed
(Dublin) - "Today is a great day for the Empire. Today, we Irish can live in a unified state once and for all." The speech of the Irish governor rang through large crowds in Dublin and Belfast on Monday, October 31.

Early in the morning hours, reports of collapse and anarchy in the Pelepian government led to border clashes and a final advance into Pelepian Ireland. Layartebian units based in the Republic of Ireland swept through swiftly. Casualties were taken but estimates are not known yet. More will develop throughout the day.

Fierce Fighting in Northern Peru
(Caracas) - In a surprise change of events, resistance in Northern Peru is of epic proportions. Layartebian armored and infantry units moving south from Colombia and Ecuador have both encountered heavy resistance in Iquitos in the east and Chiclayo in the west, respectively.

Lieutenant General Alvidor Martinez, in command of the push to the south, codenamed Operation Inca Cola commented that, "The Pelepian citizens are fierce fighters. They would rather hold on to a slither of anarchy than be protected and live in prosperity. It boggles my mind."

Reports of some two hundred Layartebian casualties have been uncomfirmed as well as reports of some 4,500 Pelepian casualties both military and civilian. "It is tough to tell who is who," LTG. Martinez said, "the civilians are fighting, the militias are fighting, the warlords are fighting."

Ireland Unified
(Belfast) - Layartebian armored and infantry units, as well as naval marines and paratroopers, have secured approximately 62% of the land in Ireland. Albeit small, the land has been arduous to secure. Forces report extreme fighting by the Pelepian citizens.

Not unlike Peru, Layartebian units are coming under hostile fire from both the civilians and the militas. Major General Jackson McCormick, coordinating the fight said, "The Irish Republic must be unified. It is a long dream of us Irish to unify our island under one solid rule. If it is that of the Empire than so be it. What shall not change is our status as a Republic."

MG. McCormick could not comment on any body counts but numbers are unconfirmed as approximately 80 - 160 for the Layartebians and as many as 1,500 for the Irish.

Blue Waters See Battleships

(Layarteb City) - The military today, in a surprise move, announced its annexation of all lands in the Carribbean Sea. The Empire has looked to the Carribbean for a long time now.

Initial deployments came from the south, north, and east, hitting more than six islands simultaneously. There has been little talk about what the battle plan is but we can assume that the ILN is leading the charge.

"The Empire of Teh Ninjas wishes to inquire about the Layartebian military buildup in the Carribbean Sea. While we maintain a good relationship with your nation we will not be hesistated to attack if our warnings of venturing into our waters are ignored. We hope this is just a misunderstanding."

Havana, Cuba
The 3rd General Service Fleet slowly came to life, as the order to mobilize came in. Officially a rapid response exercise was enacted throughout the Ninjanian held Carribbean Islands. The army secured the valuable fix, and mobile anti-aircraft, and anti-ship stations around the Carribbean. The airforce began mobilizing the air assets, and the navy mobilized all fleets. However some more time would be needed to fully mobilize all military assets in the Carribbean.

The Commonwealth of the Andromedan insists that Layarteb reduce the number of armed forces in Peru. It is seen as a threat to Andromedan trading officials who have been lobbying for action for months now. To put down your current rebellion in the region. If you would like to withdraw troops, the Andromedan 1st expeditionary infantry would be delighted to assist your forces in Peru. The Consuls of the Andromedan request that you meet them in their amazon military base in Manaus. Please take our plan into consideration.
