Statement from the Amestrian First Circuit Court

Those members of the Semirhagian government who have been indicted are being tried by the court on charges of the violation of International Common Law. Therefore, the domestic laws of Semirhage are irrelevant to the court. Furthermore, under the Legislatorial and Judicial Sections of the Amestrian Constitution no law may be retroactive, pardons included, thus the Amestrian court system finds the Semirhage pardon to have no bearing upon the proceedings. The trial shall go forward.

The room is quite crowded with the hustle and bustle of witnesses, advocates, clerks and interested onlookers; all anxious over thee expected verdict. Suddenly an officer enters.

“All rise for this Honorable Royal Court”, he shouts out.

All stand as the five justices enter solemnly.

“Please be seated”.

Everyone sits. The presiding judge addresses the court.

"This Court, in the case of the King of Amestria verses Sophia Moss, foreign national, after careful review of witness testimony and a thorough preponderance of the evidence, finds the individual Sophia Moss guilty on all charges. There exists overwhelming evidence of her abuses and crimes as the leader of Semirhage, all of them matters of public record. This video image, from the from the Semirhage News Network is the least of it..."

The Court plays the video.

[image: Three hundred men, women and some children are being lead to a giant guillotine, some are crying, others are praying, one is being dragged while screaming, "Death to the Traitors! Honor be to King Drusii II!" (this man is then beaten with a rock)]

[Over an hours worth of executions by a single guillotine are shown, each head after the execution is then taken and mounted on a steel spike and left to rot as a warning against other would-be Counter-Revolutionaries]

"Fifty-four of the 200 individuals whose murder Sophia Moss has been found guilty of where children. I believe no more needs to be said. Today, on the month Brumaire, the day of Alisier, year 185 of the Amestian Calendar, this Court sentences Sophia Moss to life imprisonment without any possibility of parole. So has ruled this court, Long Live the King." (bangs gabble)

Later in the week Brian Perry, Penny Hatt and Paul I are also found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment without any possibility for parole.
