It twas' a small planet, not really much larger then Earth. It was dominated by sprawling plains and rolling hills mostly, but there were a few seas here and there. And on this morning, at this fine hour, something was going down at the largest Orky town!

"Weze sick of killin' otha Orks! We want to fight somethin' else!"

Screamed one of the slugga boyz!

"Yea! Whenz the last time we killed a humy?!"

Asked one of the shoota boyz! Finally, the biggest Ork appeared. To be honest, he was quite sick of killing nothin' but otha Orks as well!

"Youz all got a point! Weze cant be stuck on dis planet for eva!"

He screamed.

"But weze got no shipz!"

Someone shouted back.

"Then weze build shipz!"

He screamed back! And with that, all the Orks on the planet began searchin' for some materialz to build ships so they could finally get of dis blasted rock!

And with a sudden flash of light, as if lightning hit the skies, a sleek red craft slid into the matierium of space. This ship wasn't a vast one, or a powerful one, it was classified as a Frigate by its naval standards. This craft (which was in actuality, 600 feet long), slid quietly towards this unknown planet.

The ship's width was 1/3 the ship's length, it was ment to be slim to avoid fire from hostile ships and to avoid detection from sonar. The most prominent thing were the 2 "bumps" near the rear of the ship, where the engines came out of the ship and still faced the rear. The armorment of this ship were 3 pulse-cannons on each side of the ship, plus 4 torpedo tubes in the front of the ship. It was an escort frigate ment to keep along side their allied ships.. and it wasn't long for the allies arrived, another 2 frigates of its kind appearing next to it.

The ships exchanged chattered to eachother as they approached this new planet, their mission: exploration.

OOC: Chronosia, is that you?

Bashar Tessio sat on his fake golden throne, smiling evilly and looking at the planet ahead while his liliput minions scurried around, pressing knobs and twisting dials.
"Mmmwhen are we going to be there?" Tessio asked his aide, who looked suspiciously like an Ewok out of those old Star Wars movies.
"We will enter orbit in 20 minutes, sir," the Ewok-thing buzzed. Tessio looked at him, annoyed. Then he sighed and picked up a piece of parchment and an orkbone quill. He paused, then looked at the quill.
Better not, he though, taking out a normal Bic pen. He started writing in the...er, unique ork dialect.
Weez komin' in peece, orkboyz! My namez bee Tezio, and deez be my minionz. Weez wants to sell youz weaponz! Weez.. Tessio put the parchment and pen down. He might as well improvise.
The ship started rocking and Tessio got the familiar feeling of his stomach coming back up his throat.
"Master! Buckle up!" The Ewok aide screeched, frantically trying to strap himself to the wall. Tessio rabbit-punched him and watched in glee as the Ewok clutched at his head and let go of the straps, the only thing preventing him from splatting on the windshield. And that was exactly what he did. Tessio smiled. If the Ewok-thing had gotten lucky, it might have just broken a rib.
The rickety pirate frigate roared down towards ground, it's outer layer turning orange and red from the heat. It started to steadily heat up inside the frigate, although the coolers were doing their best job. Finally, they broke through the clouds and the Ewok-things started screeching.
"Deploy landing gear!" one buzzed.
"Activate underside thrusters to 50%!" another screeched. Something clattered quite loudly.
Finally, they landed.
"Open the bay doors!" Tessio proudly commanded. He put on his (also fake) golden helmet and dark red cape(He thought it went along quite nice with his black combat gear). The doors slowly hissed open. Many orks were gathering at the landing site, looking up at the frigate. Many were smiling evilly.
Tessio stood in full view of the orks.
"Orks! I come to your planet to sell you weapons an - "
"LUK! A HUMY! BLAST 'IM!" Someork yelled out. Tessio ducked and cursed as a laser blast hit the side of the frigate.
"Close the doors! Activate shields and anti-ship lasers!" Tessio shouted to the Ewoks, and ran back to the bridge as bolter blast almost hit him. Back on the bridge, the breathless evil villain told his newly-appointed Ewok aide(The one ho had splatted against the windshield was in a coma, apparently) to give the orders.
"Bring out all chain-gun droids!"
Don't worry, Tessio. This ship can hold out for weeks. Nothing is getting through THESE shields, which was when the shield capacity went down fast to 92%.
"What was that?!" Tessio roared. ONe of the Ewoks hesitated, but spoke.
"It appears to have been a home-made RPG, sir."
Tessio arched his eyebrows.

***

The shields let things out, but not in. And so with glee(Or as much glee as a robot could have) the chain-gun droids opened fire on the Orkboyz, whose shots harmlessly rebounded off of the shields. However, it was only a matter of time before the shields failed. But how many orks could there be? Surely the droids on board and the anti-ship defenses would drop them fast enough?

"Deiz shootin' us!"

Screamed one of the Orks, moments before a bullet passed through his skull. Even an Ork was smart enough to see that the bullets were not having an effect.

"Fall back boyz!"

Shouted the Nob leader. The Orks did so, and they stopped when they were a safe distance away.

"Weze gonna need more Orks to kill deze humies! Maybe some Big Meks to!"

The Nob mentioned. He then singeled out a single Gretching.

"You! Go get more Orks and some Big Mekz!"

The Gretching dared not challenge the Nob, and ran quickly toward the nearest settlement.

OOC: I'm determinded to get my FT nation up and running >_<

A sleek black monolith floated through space, it span as though some force or controller was now no longer in control...

It was beautiful, obsidian black, a perfectly smooth surface that reflected the light of a distant star...

then suddenly as though some dark force took control of this Obisdian device, it stopped spinning, it moved with a purpose traveling towards its goal...

A planet not much larger than earth...

Mean while the USS Crusader, was on route to star base 22, when it detected some strange activity around a small system, not really explored buy federal ships. The bridge of the ship was bustling with activity, the sounds of consoles and other pieces of machinery filled the area, as the captain a young man, sat in the center chair, his officers working around him.

The con officer who was scanning the area and detected some interesting activity, looked over to the captain and said in a tired voice “Sir, we are detecting activity In a system, just beyond federal space, there seems to be life on one of the worlds to sir..”

The captain looked back with some surprise, rising a brow and saying, “interesting, alter course and go to condition yellow.”

The dark grey ship was cruising at amazing speeds its altered course in the middle of N space warp, it whooshed buy with a stream of blue and white light behind it . Several moments passed the ship gloriously bursted out of N space drive, its slowed to a crawl its hull lights blinking in the dark void, of space, star light dully shining on its dark grey hull.

A single hail was sent, “this is the Federal ship USS crusader, we are here to investigate, activity in this system”.

The Ork's primitive sensors and radars had picked up the presence of all the ships around the planet, and the Orks were eager to draw these ships into a fight! A message was sent up:

"Who is dis? Sum stinkin' humy! Weze Da Orks of dis planet, and weze gonna bust our way outta here!!!"

The message read, recorded obviously by a very excited Ork.

The Monolith was closing in on the planet, it moved with some pace as though some dark unearthly form was propelling it across the galaxy with some evil intent....

the planet was nearing, with several ships orbiting the system, regardless the monolith continued... then suddenly it stopped, then began to spin once more, rolling about, drifting towards the planet, continueing from its momentum and that created by the gravity well of the planet...

OOC: The Fedral Union, as the monolith approaches the planet, your sensors and systems will go a little funny, strange readings and some of your crew will experience nose bleeds, if thats ok wth you, that is.

Chaos prides itself on its marvellous unpredictability; it's dark and sinister manipulations stetching across space and time. Thus it was that a Chronosian scouting team came forth from the fires of the Immaterium. The Marine upon the deck stood; staring out at the war-torn world below them. "Status report."

"Brother-Captain; we have ascertained that this world is under Orkish domination. The foul Xenos hold it in their grasp; and make to their art of war. They are beginning to master their base technologies, into a foul mockery of space travel."

"Interesting...Perhaps this can benefit us"

"How so, My Lord?"

"Remember Ryza? Remember the hell unleashed by our assaults? The Orks rallied against us in their pathetic WAAAGHs; but this time...This time we shall let this Empire grow; till it mirrors the glories of Octavius or Charadon! Till it's warbosses are veritable Ghazghull's and Nazdregs!"

"I see, my lord."

"Provide them with weapons; bring them fresh foes to wet their bloodlust..Make friends of the Orks; and unleash them...By the time they turn upon us, as they can only be expected to, there will be only ashes and blood; and we shall have already left.."

The dark grey crusader rumbled along closer to the planet that hail was sent to other ships as well.

As the sound of its engines reverberated throughout the ship, the large ship slowly moved along through the dark void of space its hull lightings flashing vibrantly along its hull.

The Vortian Nanosaucer is quite possibly one of the most cliched ships currently employed by Gadget Corporation. This giant, disk-shaped craft is more reminiscent of those in old Terran flat-movies produced in their year of 1960, especially with its excess of blinking lights. It is a common ship used by Pubescent, space-faring life forms who enjoy scaring the bajeezes out of more primitive creatures.

And it was one of the Vortian Saucers that was currently headed towards the Ork-Inhabited, Earth-like planet, although for quite a different reason. This was a mission of investigation and research, not one of scaring the life out of creatures, not that the pilot's wouldn't have liked to. For you see, the pilots of this particular craft were Frank Clones, semi-synthetic duplications of the average A-Grade ship captain, prone to gluttony and bitter rivalries with their clone brethren, who were often used on scouting and relay missions. Why? The most though-of reason was that they were expendable. Oddly, even after you saw a Frank Clone, you could never remember what they looked like.

But, to regress back to the point, it was this Nanosaucer, dubbed "The Platter," that was currently streaming through space towards the planet of the Orks. GadgetCorp did not have much information on these humanoid-ish creatures, and this mission would prove quite the fruitful one, or so they hoped.

The ship shook violently as some consoles sparked and flickered the fire ramming the shields. Alarms blared at red alert, as the Capitan looked over to the tactical officer “ what the hell is going on! “ the tactical officer responded quickly In a deep voice “sir were under fire the planet has opened fire on us..”

The captain growled slightly under his breath , and said in a loud voice “target were ever that fire is coming form and fire!”

With in seconds the Phased Resonance disruption arrays charged up and firing , several times, beams of light orange crimson fire poured out of the ship, the arrays charged up and fired again and again, targeting several areas.

The dark grey ship opened up its torpedo tubes and fired blue pulses of Quantum plasmatic torpedoes, and crimson pulses of photon torpedoes

"Whutz dat?"

Questioned the Ork manning the anti-orbital canon. And his question was soon answered, as he and the canon were engulfed in a large explosion. The same thing was happenin' all over da planet. But as quickly as some sights were destroyed, new ones were built. And many were mobile, and some of the Orks after seeing a close by canon destroyed knew to move the canon quickly. The orbital shots showed no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Drop pods plummeted through the smouldering atmosphere; bursting open to reveal stocks of weapons and ammunition; others tore down; revealing Imperial Equipment, ripe from the looting; while in a rough semi-circle around the cannons; Marine-filled pods plunged through the air and opened; the Chaos Marines pouring forth in a deluge; training weapons on the Xenos horde.

"Dear dear...Such violence; such brutality...Truly you are the sons of Ghazkhull himself to bear such strength and ferocity. I come to parley with you; Orks...Would you leave this world and spread throughout the stars? Would you commit acts that would make Ol' One Eye himself toss in his ancient grave? That is...If you know of such things?" The Sorceror spoke as he materialised; pacing slowly. "We come bearing gifts; and an offer...We will bring to you the finest warriors of this galaxy; and the finest sons of Terra. In return you shall leave us in peace, and we you...Refuse; and these collective fools will blast you from existence. And we have the power to help or hinder your demise."

The Saucer hovered into view of the planet, just in time to see the blast from the orbital cannons lodge itself in the TFU's ship, as well as their retaliation upon the planet's surface.

"Well well, what's this? A few more cultures around us, no?"

"Indeed, Number 195-7B Zeta-Alpha 12. Anyone we know?"

"Let's see. Oh, I see a Chronosian craft in the vicinity."

"Really then. Well, doesn't seem at all bad the-Ow!" The Frank Clone was cut off by a slap to the head from the ship's captain, a Scariliun by the name of Sirus Carantar.

"Quit your mumbling, you idiots. Now, we aren't going to be able to moniter them from up here very well, so I suggest we make a bit of contact with them instead. Send down Clone 1225-41J Plural Alpha-Beta 9. He's good with foreign races. And send a troop of Ga-Sings and NinjaBots with him, just in case our new subjects of investigation aren't very hospitable."

"Right sir." 195-7B Zeta-Alpha 12 pressed a small button on his consol, speaking into a small voice transmitter on the dashboard. " Attention Clone 1225-41J Plural Alpha-Beta 9. Please report to the docking bay for immediate transport to the planet. And be sure to pick up a troop of Ga-Sings and Ninjabots as you pass the Mechanoids' living quarters. That is all."

On the underside of the saucer-like ship, a large doorway slid open, and a medium-sized, box-shaped craft lowered itself out of the craft. Imprinted on the side of the transport vessel was the GadgetCorp logo: a large, purple smiley face inside of a widget. Below the symbol was printed "Gadget Corporation" in big, white, friendly letters.

Inside the craft, several Clones entered in a series of strings of code, activating the ship's Ganathrusts. As the jets flared to life, giving off a green-white, flame-like exhaust, the vessel sped towards the surface of the planet, where the greatests concentration of Orks seemed to be.

OOC: Gadgetcorp has a lot of things I seem to remember from HGTTG books. Ah the good memories.

As the 3 frigates approached the planet, they began reading many more ships signs. More chatter between the ships before a signal was broadcasted..

"Who are all of you?"

As the message ended, one of the frigates suddenly ignited into flames as the oxygen inside of it ignited and escaped from a shot from the planet. The Frigate began to slowly fishtail in space as one of it's engines cut off. It nearly hit one of the other 2 Frigates if not for the luck of the helmsman. As the frigate lost course, the flames suddenly stopped, all air on the ship was gone, and crew could be seen falling from the massive hole in the side of the ship. Suddenly, the ship was gone in a shockwave of debris and the powerplant exploding.

The 2 remainings frigates watched their comrades die as they turned to retreat to a safe distance from the planet's planetary guns.

The remaining frigate's comm channels were a mess of conversation between the captain's of either vessel.

As the frigates reached a safe distance from the crude ork weaponry, one of the frigates revealed it's small surpise.. Rather than the 4 torpedo tubes of it's fellow frigates, it carried a large anti-defence Pulse Cannon, and have no broadside cannons either.

The frigate made a quiet action of moving back into firing range and began looking for targets.. One was aquired, a group of greenskins sitting in their camp.. The frigate began to eminante a "hum" throughout its hull as the power was transfered from non-essential weaponry into the primary weapon..

A broadcast went out on general beacon..

"Die scum!"

With that, the massive gun fired once at the target, then it fired three more times at the mob, taking revenge for their dead sister ship.

With the subtle twisting of chance, six hundred meters of unnatural silver apeared in high orbit; the ancient, seemingly patchwork escort carrier displacing insystem just in time to catch a volly of ground fire that had been intended for someone else.

Barrier fields down, coherent light bit into the thickly wrought nuclear-enhanced silver that was Kanuckistani trademark, flash-ionised armour erupting in breif fountains of plasma as the lances of hostile fire bit deeper, befor finding superconductor and being harmlessly dissipated.

"Shields!" Cap'n Jack Friday bellowed as the ship lurched, "What the fuck was that?"

"Unkno- wait; ground fire, sir!" someone replied; the crew franticly rigged for combat, "Laser weapons, firing at assorted ships in orbit."

"ECM; launch decoys, and pop a fucking diamond canister between us!" Jack ordered rapid-fire, eyes suddenly intent on his tactical repeater, "Where the hell did those orks get orbital guns? And who the hell is it they're shooting at?"

"Lesse.." a sensor tech began, as barrier fields deployed, and a canister round was tossed out a missile port, "We've got four unknowns in three groups, some Chronosian vessel that looks like it's droping 'pods, and... huh, looks like some Tee-Eff-You ship, firing at the surface, along with one of the unknowns. I'm also detecting atleast one debris field."

"And the surface?" Jack insisted, as ECM generators spun up and decoys deployed; the canister round exploded, releasing submunitions, which in turn spread a laser-refracting haze of crystal dust to massivly blunt further attacks.

"Unknown, but from the images I've got, they sure as hell look ramshalke enough to be local."

Jack sighed, then, as he realised that fire seemed to have slackened, and the situation became more aparent; not clear, by any means, but clear enough to act. He reached for a button.

"Major."

"I know, Captain; quick thinking, too, by the way. And yes, we'll still be droping - joined the Adventurers' Guild fer a reason, ya know, and we've still got a contract to fufill. We'll be ready in fifteen."

And so, the KAGV Beer'n'Ammo waited, hoping not to attract too much fire.

OOC:
Bunch of Adventurers' Guild grunts aiming to pick a fight with some orks, basicly - almost all either teleoperating drone bodies or are distributed sentients; they've also got some kit to 'give' the orks upon conclusion, on behalf of Uniphase Armouries Interversal who agreed to help finance the expidition for that reason(tho why they're giving perfectly good, highly-robust, semi-idiot-proof kit to orks is anyone's guess; most who know about it figure it's either eccentricity or the result of missfiled paperwork).

The Sorceror chuckled softly as he awaited the arrival of their Warboss; the Ork most cunning and savage; the Ork who had risen to the pinnacle of personal power. An impressive speciman of the brutish uncivilised horde, certainly; and their evident leader...

Let him come. He would repeat his offer a thousand times till they heard sense; till they learned to accept generosity. The Imperium had dealt with their kind before; had learned to manipulate or destroy its enemies...The others here, well; they were ignorant, unseeing of the Orks true strength; the wonderously adaptive nature of the Beast.

When fields of Gargants, and countless lines of War Trakk's stretched to the horizon of countless worlds; they would see their folly in underestimating these beings.

The Sorceror let his fingers dance over a skull, impaled upon a spike on his armor; running with dripping runes and lines of power; teasing whispers from the warp with every caress of powerful sigil...He could wait...

Trenches. Miles upon miles of them, forming a second equator, perpendicular to the planets first. And me stuck in the middle of it, thought Private Schaldt.
Damned imperium. Damned war. Damned trenches. But there was a glimmer of hope, among the 4th Gotterdammerung steel legion, which had been rapidly shunted from blitzkrieg to trenches, and forced to learn then when you left the chimera, your mates were better armor than cardboard flakjackets. But there was a rumor that they were being reissued chimeras, shiny new verun-pattern ones too, and being shipped to some edge world to observe and/or kill everything that moved and claim as much as possible before the imperium got there and started getting all pious and ''cleansing'' people. There was even talk of new uniforms and an escape from lice. The current uniform was just the one from the pre-rebellious days of the regiment, a rip-off of the armegadon uniform, in much the same way as regular infantry tried to look like Cadians, but with a small spike, peak and leather neck-guard on the the helmet, and all the imperiums symbols peplaced with reveloutionary ones.

There was a ship orbiting the planet, as rumors said, they were right about many things, there were even fresh chimeras and uniforms waiting. There were in fact no major inaccuracies in what Schaldt had heard, only an omision: that the planet was ork infested and under attack by a host of major powers...

OOC: To clarify, I am not playing imperials. Boozia, all though it has come a way since, was originally a heptiravate imperial offshoot, so I decided to get back to my roots.

The ship firing at mobs on the planet suddenly stopped as the firing crew was incinerated.. An ork shot had managed to find itself into the barrel of the gun, anyone that was inside the reactor area had died a horrible death as the gun barrel suddenly exploded. The ship was silent, the other frigate hailing them trying to get a response.

The only response was the ship suddenly exploding outwards, sending debris and jets of plasma off into the distance before it imploded on its self, sending out another shockwave.

The remaining frigate paniced, 2 Frigates lost to random fire, the first death was a mistake, but the second one was a 'too-full-of-himself' captain wanting revenge. And now the frigate, which was ment to work in packs, had been left alone. It quietly sat in space for half a minute before it emitted a very powerful signal beacon, trying to attract the attention of its nation's ships somewhere out in space.

On the bridge of the ship..
"Keep back! Stay out of the range of those guns!" The captain cried out.

"But sir! They're random fire, they couldn't possibly hit us." someone from the crew replied after sending out the beacon.

"You idiot, did you not just see our pack destroyed into debris?" The captain shouted at the ensign, shutting him up before returning to duty.

Gork and Mork would be pleased; very pleased; imagine the WAAAAAGH you would spawn; imagine systems in flames beneath orky bootheels? Does that not sound marvellous?" Ah, this was the life. The new uniform had no bulky gas mask to suffocate you and was just the right weight. Schaldt sat astride his APC's multi-laser, polishing. Everything was going great.

"Sir, were at location."

"Re-enter the materium, and try and act like we never knew about the other ships. The men won't be happy if they know they've been tricked.

"Aye."

"Aim to get in near the planet, but keep outside orbit range. Can you estimate the range of an orkish surface battery?"

"Probably keep out of their range too, err on the side of caution."

As the group of beings, the Frank Clone along with the 18 droids, left the craft, they headed towards the gathering of Orks, waving the white flag of peace. The droids in front, the NinjaBots, carried Plasma Tower Shields, in the event that these new creatures were not too friendly.

"Hey, 179-B18 Alpha. You see that Non-Ork being up there?" The Ga-Sing droid pointed towards the Chronosian Sorcerer, conversing with the Orky Warboss, about a hundred-fifty yards or so away.

The droid looked to his companion, still walking. "Now that ya mention it, yeah. Wha'cha suppose it is?"

"Dunno. Suppose we're about ta' find out though."

"What the..." said the captain, "shields and weapons powered up, but stay away from those planetary guns!".

Then he pulls out his comlink, "This is AFS Shadow Force. We need some more ships to check out the situation."

The last of their equipment loaded, Major Augustus Thorn keyed the TacHopper's boarding ramp closed, then turned and strode to the strikecraft's cockpit.

Once there, he nodded to the pilot and gave the order to commence the drop. As soon as Cap'n Friday opened the doors, of course.

Not a minute later, the carrier had micro-jumped some tewlve light-minutes away, and two sleet transports streaked into the atmosphere; a dozen 'shock pods' surrounding them, kilometers-long tails of brilliant fire trailing all as they plunged toward the ground - accellerating straight down at hundreds of gees, orkish fire stabbing at their wake.

Engines reversed suddenly as the earth below lunged at them at frightening pace, drive coils redlining as distance closed; speed droping, noses pulling up - fourteen glowing smallcraft, trailing molten armour, suddenly streaking across the terrain instead of toward it, skimming mere meters above as they closed on their destination and continued to slow.

That destination, where they finally set down to disgorge armoured KAG marines, was a plain of short grass and dried clay soil, flat to the horizon; a small orkish settlment just beyond, but it was otherwise fairly remote.

That last was intentional, however; a bit for time to allow the construction of fortifications - earthworks and prefab bunkers, traps and tunnels, machine and marine were soon creating; each forming aspects of a complex plan, while theatre shields and a handful of their fellows watched for Orkish intrusion. When it came, if it came too soon, they were still prepared; teams assigned to sally forth and distract them, buy time until their bridgehead was complete.

And those marines would be quite distracting, for tho the expidition counted few 'elite' augments amoung their number, they posessed that rarest of soldiers.

A Maverick.

The small troupe of Droids, surrounding the one clone, stopped their march about twenty-five yards from the Orkish horde. Still waving the white flag, the signal of peace, the Synthetic Frank fumbled with a megaphone-like device. Upon switching it "On," he began speaking across the short distance to the Orks.

"We come in the name of peace and, uh...Beneficial things! We humbly request the permission to speak to your leader, or leaders as it may be!"

With a series of keyed thoughts, a window opened in his mind's eye; a live optical feed from one of the sensor masts scattered around the quickly-forming fortifications.

Major Thorn grunted, then, as he took note of the small group of orks on the distant horizon, and turned to the sergent beside him.

"I hate it when you're right, Laslow," the lupine Major mused with a half smile, cradling his helm in one hand as he turned to a third figure; "Looks like a small scouting force; take what you will and make them disapear - quietly, if you can."

It was a short figure to whom he spoke; scarcly four foot within her thickly wrought armour; "Will do," the vixen replied in tones detached, as waypoints apeared on the Major's HUD; "Put a few snipers up there," she waves, indicating the marked locals, "Have them keep their heads down 'til I call."

Thorn nodded, keying their entanglment-based battlenet with his thoughts and issuing orders. When he turned back to her a moment later, she was gone; vanished, tracelessly, leaving not even footprints in her walk.

Samantha reviewed her inventory as she skimmed over the plains, the humm of her armour's reactionless IDD coils activly canceled; active and passive stealth concealing her from sight, sound, and mind.

She was careful to watch her speed, then, as the distance closed, and she finalised her methods attack, formulating redundancies; careful to insure she didn't reveal her presence by generating a visible wake.

If the Orks didn't detect her - and there was no reason that they should - it would all be over mere moments after she struck...

2 More CR-90s arrive out of hyperspace, at about where the Shadow Force was.

"ASF Shadow Force, help has arrived."

"Ok, everyone, get your weapons and shields powered up. This could turn nasty if we just charge into the range of fire. Go in a bit closer, and watch for any hostile ships arriving out of the atmosphere. We'll play as defensive/support position, engaging enemy ships only, as we can't do an orbital bombardment, or at least not until a VSD arrives."

"Alright then, powering up shields and weaponry."

The droids in front quickly fell to attention, holding up their plasma shields against the barrage of fire from the Orks. The robots behind them prepared their weapons to fire, but were immediately stopped by the Frank Clone with them.

"Don't fire yet! We may be able to calm them down!" He yelled, trying to keep his voice above the exploding barrage of the Ork guns. He put the megaphone-thing back up to his mouth. "Please, halt your fire! We mean you no harm! We come bringing gifts for your Orkish hordes!"

The Clone sighed in relief, as he saw the Orks stop firing. Not missing a beat, he put the voice amplifier back up to his mouth.

"Great gifts! Big gifts of war and exploding death! Weapons and machines that you can use to crush your enemies into the dust! Things that will make your empire grow to be a feared power! Wonderful weapons of doom!" From what he knew of the Orks, they craved warfare, and loved things that exploded...He thought. Hopefully they'd take the offer.

They dropped there Orcas, which desended towards the planet to begin the expulsion of teh orkish threat on teh planet in preperation for colonisation, covered by Squadrons of Mantas they came in low over a large plain and dropped dozens of fire warrior teams alongside over fifty Crisis XV8 Suits. As they decended, the Orcas dropped Devilfish APCs which strafed any signs of ORkish Activity before dropping off Pathfinder Teams.

Slowing as she passed the orkish band, pivoting to face them, Sam extended her right arm and fired off a tethered drone; the golfball-sized object seeming to apear out of thin air as it's accellerating reactionless drives launched it out of her stealth feilds.

It took mere moments to reach the end of it's leash, hundreds-meter long SAPL tether coming taut as she started to whip it around with all of her massivly augmented strength; like a sub-atomic edged scyth set to bisect the horde's entirity just below the neck, it would simply wrap around anything that resisted it's impossibly sharp bite.

Just to note, monomolecular weapons won't cut that wire without alot more tension on the line than there will be in flight, unless it gets caught up on, and pulled tight between, a couple objects strong enough to hold it under those stresses with out being cut through.

After hearing the Ork "speak," if it could be called that by its near-gutteral language, the Frank Clone motioned to two droids next to them. The robots in front, holding the plasma shields, parted, and the two Ga-Sings, pushing a large, heavy, metal, hovercrate with the "Nuclear" symbol on it, headed towards the Orks. Stopping four yards in front of them, the robots pryed open the crate, one taking out a strange-looking weapon. He reached back in to take out a large missle, measuring about two-and-a-half feet in length, and about 9 inches wide. It stuck the rocket into the gun with a click, kneeled down, and aimed the gun towards a barren, distant spot, about eighty yards away.

"Care for a demonstration?" it asked, in a slightly Western-electronic voice.

Cannon fire ripped trough teh middle of the Tau Drop formation, sending three of the lead Orcas down in flames and smoke, scattering a handful of warriors that had gotten out in time.

Overhead the fleets two heroes moved into a bombardment formation and their huge arrays of ion cannon fired repeatadly at the cannons that had shot at the Orcas and been responsiblke for the deaths of over 300 warriors. Another eight orcas dropped into the atmosphere, following the surviving 7 now dropping troops, three heavily shielded landers follwoed slowly, in thier hodls where Hammerheads, XV-88s and heavy building equipment that would begin to build ground based fortifications.

Getting tired of waiting for an answer, the kneeling Ga-Sing turned back to the 80-yards-away patch of ground. As he pulled the trigger, the rocket literally erupted from the weapon in an explosion of white smoke, and he was knocked down from the sheer recoil.

As the droid began to stand back up, the large missle screamed through the air, coming to land on the targeted patch of ground. Embedded in the ground, a sphere of white energy quickly extended from the rocket as it dematerialized. Suddenly, in a gigantic explosion, fire seemed to leap into the air, forming a mushroom cloud and creating a flash of white light.

As the droids' and Ork's vision cleared, a large, blacked crater, about a hundred feet across and fifteen feet deep, was all that remained where there had once been land. In the crater, a green haze, likely radioactivity, seemed to rise from the scarred earth.

Even though though the gathered beings were a more than a hundred feet away, patches of scorched grass and brush lay around them. Not burned, but still slightly charred from the relased energy and cinders of the blast. The Orks and Droids hadn't been hurt, however, unless you counted patches of soot as wounds.

"Like it?" the droid holding the weapon asked, sounding exhilirated from the excitement.

"Looks like I won't be needing those snipers afterall," the vixen Maverick's voice sounding amused as it came over the Major's comm; he paused, then, from where he'd been helping one team of marines to emplace a mortar, pulling a time-compressed record of the fight from one of the sensor masts.

Fight? The Major snorted; more like a one-sided slaughter. But then, that's what Mavericks did.

Instead, he merely replied, "Indeed; good work," releaving the thio of snipers that had been asigned as her backup, befor returning to the task befor him.

It would take a good thirty hours to finish construction; if they could keep the Orks off balance or in the dark until then, prevent them from attacking in strength, they would be ready to launch their own raiding parties.
