Omzian Forces Air Defence Command
Introduction One of the three interservice commands (along with Special Operations and Military Intelligence), the Omzian Forces Air Defence Command is by far the largest command, employing more than 2 million Army and Air Force personnel in its force. Responsible for the air defence of the Omzian homeland's airspace, the Omzian Forces Air Defence Command has received much attention in terms of funds, training, and equipment throughout its years. It also works with the Navy's ballistic missile defence units, thus providing an umbrella of anti-missile assets as a mean to protect the Omzian people from the devastation of nuclear weapons. Indeed, as the equivalent of some nations' separate Air Defence Troops branch, the Air Defence Command is more like of an independent branch rather than a command, with its own unique share of units - but at the same time, retaining coordination with air force and army assets elsewhere. In times of war, especially an invasion of the Omzian homeland, the Omzian Forces Air Defence Command will perhaps be one of the most prominent services in such operations, countering enemy aircraft effectively and efficiently at a steady pace in a modern and networked warfighting environment.

Note in respect to organization: Standard Omzian ADC organization for surface-to-air missile regiments consist of fire sections as the most basic unit, with four to six TELs per section, along with a radar and control module. In turn, two fire sections are organized into one battery, normally with two additional long-range search/acquisition and low altitude search/acquisition radars. A battalion is allocated a total of six batteries, in which there are a total of five battalions consisting of medium-long range SAMs, and two battalions consisting of utility vehicle-mounted low altitude/range SAM launchers (normally MANPADS such as the Black Fly and SA-33B2 in Omzian service). True to say, each regiment is about the size of a division; however, these units, independent from their Group Army counterparts (serving on the GA and Corps level), are nevertheless still called such within the ADC. When compared to their regular army counterparts, it is important to note that those in the ADC are intended to defend both fixed and mobile installations on the Omzian homeland with a few exceptions; the non-ADC units in the army however, are intended to defend field armies from air attack.

Types of Units
Sensors The ADC employs a wide range of sensors, including radar-based, IR-based, LADAR-based, and other sensors based on both land and aircraft. Radars are placed throughout the Omzian homeland, especially outer island chains, where they provide excellent coverage of the airspace hundreds of kilometers beyond the Omzian coast. OTH radars are used very extensively with a total of 28 of these rather expensive arrays and facilities, while another number of ballistic missile-detection radars dots the Omzian landscape. IR-based and LADAR-based sensors are also used, especially to detect stealthy aircraft, though normally the vast deployment of bistatic and CELLDAR-type systems would have already provided great coverage against stealth aircraft. In addition to this, ELINT listening posts are also deployed, along with high-flying airships and a select number of AWACS aircraft.

Air Units The ADC has control, though not 100% control, over certain air units in the Omzian Air Force. Almost all of the combat air units that make up the airborne portion of ADC's combat arm are the Interceptor Wings and Special Interceptor Wings, utilizing the Bateleur and Lammergeier interceptors. Though both types of wings can be deployed in expeditionary operations, they usually operate under the command of ADC during peacetime and during a direct invasion of the Omzian homeland (by air and/or sea, since the Omzian Republic is situated on a large island). They also work closely with the Tactical, Attack, and Multirole Fighter Wings (consisting of the Raptor-C, Unity, and Ostwind fighters respectively), though not under the ADC, can be deployed in home air defence roles if necessary.

Space Units Though much of the satellites are controlled by the Omzian Military Intelligence Command, a select few satellites are still co-shared by both the MIC and the ADC. However, perhaps the most interesting segment of the ADC's space assets is the set of space-based ballistic missile interceptors, placed in low and medium earth orbits. Utilizing kinetic interceptors, they are designed to intercept ballistic missiles during their boost phase - their most vulnerable portion of flight. Much of the details however, remain cloudy.

Tactical Ground Based Assets
96 Long Range Air Defence Regiments (2 battalions w/ Flamedart SAM and Eaglenest TEL, 3 battalions w/ Firedart/Foxdart SAMs and Vanguard TELs, 2 low altitude air defence battalions)
128 Mobile Air Defence Regiments (1 battalion w/ Flamedart SAM and Eaglenest TEL, 4 battalions w/ Firedart/Foxdart SAMs and Falconest TELs, 2 low altitude air defence battalions)
208 Light Air Defence Regiments (2 battalions w/ Foxdart SAM and Turtle TELs, 3x battalions w/ Slingshot SPAAG/missile carrier, 2 low altitude air defence battalions)
To state that the tactical portion of the ADC is massive is an understatement, as it can be described as nothing but impressive at an immense scale. Equally, it is also well disciplined, allowing the members of these units to utilize their equipment effectively in the valiant efforts of defending the Omzian nation's airspace. The tactical assets of the ADC is largely used to defend fixed installations on the Omzian homeland, including industrial, government, and military targets, including naval stations, air bases, and major army depots. Among the units, the Long Range Air Defence Regiments are intended to defend installations from the threat of high-flying bombers and missiles. On the other hand, the Mobile Air Defence Regiments - as its name suggests - are more flexible and versatile, utilizing systems that can defend both low and high altitude airspaces against a wide variety of threats, including tactical aircraft, bombers, cruise missiles, and short-medium range ballistic missiles. Finally, the Light Air Defence regiments are specifically tasked to defend Omzian airspace against low-flying threats, especially B-1 type bombers and low-flying cruise missiles. They work closely with Army units and militia anti-aircraft artillery units in the task of cruise missile defence.

Strategic Ground Based Assets
108 Strategic Air Defence Regiments (2 battalions with 16x RF-18 Mod V BMIs, 3 battalions with 36x High Arrow SAMs, 2 low altitude air defence battalions)
48 Ballistic Missile Defence Regiments (5x Battalions with 36 RF-15 Mod VI BMIs, 2 low altitude air defence battalions)
42 City Air Defence Regiments (3x battalions with High Arrow SAM and Archmaster TELs, 2x battalions with Flamedart SAM and Eaglenest TEL, 2 low altitude air defence battalions)
The strategic portion of the ADC is dedicated to protecting important targets against enemy attacks. Like the tactical elements, it also defends fixed installations of industrial, political, and military value; however, it does so on a much larger scale, encompassing population centers as well as its customers. Among the three, the Strategic Air Defence Regiments and Ballistic Missile Defence Regiments are specifically tasked to deal with high-flying HyperSoar-type bombers and ballistic missiles utilizing nuclear weapons, with the High Arrow and Red Flag-1X series of ballistic missile interceptors. The City Air Defence Regiments however, are units dedicated to the defence of Omzian population centers against air attacks - 12 such regiments are allocated to the capital city of Osaria G.A., while 5 are allocated to the cities of Kanze, Port Hagras, Hogan Point, Hongazgrad, Danzen, and Port Lenonz. It is important to note however, that the missiles and other units employed in these units are deployed on fixed installations themselves, with the RF-1Xs deployed in hardened silos and the High Arrow SAMs (in this instance) deployed in hardened underground shelters/launchers in horizontal positions, to be raised into a vertical position and launched when the time comes.

Omzian Army Border Defence Command
Introduction The largest sub-command of the Omzian Army, the Omzian Army Border Defence Command has long been the tip of the spear in terms of the protection of Omzian sovereignty. Acting essentially as the ground-based arm of the Omzian Navy's coastal defence forces, the Omzian Army Border Defence Command is responsible for defending Omzian coastal waters and Omzian beaches from an enemy invasion, through the use of land-based units. It consists of both gun and rocket artillery elements, with its own targeting platforms, while it receives other needed information from the Omzian Navy's ELINT platforms and the Military Intelligence Command's space-based assets. As of currently, it consists of more than 800,000 personnel in its service.

Sensors Though the BDC relies heavily on the sensors of those of the MIC, Omzian Air Force, and Omzian Navy Aviation Corps, the Border Defence Command also ahs some of its own units, often allocated directly to missile or gun batteries. the central aspect of the BDC's detection capabilities are UAVs, providing much needed surveillance, target detection, and targeting at an efficient yet effective pace. Some units of the BDC also utilize visual and radar-based sensors mounted on the ground. Finally, the BDC also has limited control over some of the Omzian Air Fore's surveillance assets, including ELINT platforms and converted JSTARS, in addition to multitudes of airship from the Omzian Navy as well as converted high altitude UAVs based on the NASA Helios design.

Artillery Based Assets
24 Fortified Coastal Artillery Regiments (18x triple 25 inch ETC armoured turrets)
36 Heavy Coastal Artillery Regiments (24x triple 20 inch ETC armoured turrets)
56 Defence Coastal Artillery Regiments (32x quad 16 inch ETC armoured turrets)
56 Mobile Coastal Artillery Regiments (72x Obelisk 155mm SPH)

Though certainly not as massive as those of other nations, the Omzian Army BDC nevertheless boast a sizeable tube artillery force, some fixed while others mobile. Due to the nature of Omzian geography, these units are most prevalent among BDC assets stationed in northern and eastern Omz, whereas they are less so in southern Omz. The first three units consist of large-bore guns deployed in the form of large armoured turrets, with hardened underground magazines, reloading systems, and power supplies. They are often situated on high ground, where there is an excellent field of view along with "cover" from attacking infantry. Nevertheless, these turrets also have interlocking underground tunnels, along with fiber-optic cable networks for communication. Most of these turrets are camouflaged as well; however, this is still not to say that they are vulnerable to weapons, as the armoured turrets can withstand impacts from small to medium cruise missiles, medium-sized bombs, and medium-bored ship-mounted guns.
On the other hand, there is also a sizable contingent of mobile artillery units, consisting largely of the Obelisk 155mm self-propelled howitzer, developed by Isselmere. These units provide the Mobile Coastal Artillery regiments with a much needed "shoot-and-scoot" capability, and are used to attack small enemy warships (up to the size of frigates and smaller destroyers) along with repelling an enemy landing if necessary, shelling both enemy troops landing on shore and their landing craft.

Missile Based
156 Strike Missile Regiments (54x three-round Roundel TELs)
108 Heavy Strike Missile Regiments (54x three-round Longaxe TELs)
84 Attack/Strike Missile Regiments (54x two-round Meteor-G TELs)
56 Special Strike Missile Regiments (54x one-round Meteor-H TELs)
108 Medium Strike Missile Regiments (54x three-round Tigersword-E TELs)
56 Attack Missile Regiments (54x one-round Archer SRBM TELs)

The missile portion of the BDC is, to say needlessly, gigantic. These units consist of a variety of missile-launching units, organized in small but mobile batteries. These missiles are of designs currently implemented by the Omzian Navy, while with the exception of the TEL for the Meteor-H, the TELs also shares a similar design, thus increasing logistical efficiency. The units normally receive their targeting information through the use of UAVs or from Navy or/and Air Force assets, and are highly mobile as to avoid return fire as a mean of survival, though this is definitely not to say that the benefits of armoured protection can be also achieved by speed in other instances. Among these different units, all but the latter one are utilized in the exclusive anti-shipping role, while the latter utilizes short-range ballistic missiles to repel enemy beach landings.

Omzian President Visits Omzian Forces ADC Unit 84825
QuickNews Service - Concise yet Useful

Kanze (QN) - Today the President, as part of his large tour throghout the military installations of the Eastern Military District, visited ADC Unit 84825 just a few kilometers away from the outskirts of Kanze, the largest city n the Omzian nation and the center of Omzian trade. The commander of the unit, which is an unidentified air defence regiment, Senior Colonel Topaz J. Logan (OFADC), conveyed his greetings.

The President expressed his joy at seeing this special ADC unit, and travelled throughout the base, talking to various servicemen - both officers and the enlisted alike. He stressed the need to uphold the ideas of Hongaz Omazee as the central moral ideology of these men, while reminding them of their vital duty in protecting the Omzian democracy. He then gave on-the-spot guidance to the servicemen participating in a political education seminar, reiterating the importance of bearing a sense of duty and responsibility when serving in the ADC, the "foremost branch in the Omzian Forces ... protecting the Omzian homeland."

After concluding the small tour, the men and women of the unit expressed their deep appreciation, and conveyed their farewell to the President via the submission of a gift.

The President is set to conclude his chain of visits Tuesday.

OOC: A bump, and a note that following the idea that has been recently floating around NS, I will hopefully start a invasion guide for the Omzian Republic. Not that it is either wholly possible or forbiddingly impossible, but the guide will include all the basics and all-you-need-to-knows for invading Omz222 as an alliance of nations. The guide will be in a FAQ format, so yeah... Credits are due to Czardas for the idea. BUT, if you have questions about what you need to know to invade me (not tactics, that's for you to decide), feel free to ask them before and after I create the guide.

In the meanwhile, all the links in my sig will suffice, hopefully.

OOC: very impressive,expecting an invasion?
Not really (at least, not in this instance), and it would be more for reference so that my IC adversaries/so-called "enemies" wouldn't have to dig for information from me OOCly for a thousand times if such invasion is ever to occur.

And hence why I've publicized so much information for my military already, without getting into the you-don't-need-to-knows.

Other Ground-Based Air Defence Units

Army The Omzian Army, not including assets directly under the control of the ADC, also has a sizeable contingent of air defence asset of its own. This includes all three of the major long-range air defence missile types, in which two Long Range Air Defence Regiments and three Mobile Air Defence Regiments (with the same composition as those of the ADC, wit the exception that the Vanguard TELs are not used) are allocated per Group Army, and three Mobile Air Defence Regiments are utilized per Corps. These are for providing air defence cover directly to ground forces advancing in front of the rear air defence units. On the other hand, each mechanized division normally operates a battalion (3 batteries in case of divisional-level battalions) of Turtle TELs with the Foxdart intermediate range SAM for air defence cover for advancing ground forces, complemented by another battalion of light SPAAGs (Coelions) and two battalions of heavy SPAAGs (Slingshots). In addition, there are also two battalions operating the MUTM-AD and MUTM-MAD respectively, with one battery assigned per Brigade Combat Team. The MUTM-AD utilizes a pair of 15.5mm guns along with eight SA-33B short range MANPADS SAMs, while the MUTM-MAD utilizes the Basilisk medium-range SAM.
In addition, MANPADS are also widely distributed, with MANPADS distributed on company levels in teams of two launchers.

Navy Aside from ships in port that provides its own air defence cover, the Navy also utilizes a large contingent of air defence systems for the defence of its ports. Mostly of these however, are Mobile and Light Air Defence Regiments (56 and 128 respectively), the former providing protection for major ports and the latter providing protection for minor naval facilities and naval air bases. Aside from this, the Navy also operates a fair quantity of radar systems, including the standard 'Multiplex' mobile air surveillance radar.
On the other hand, the Naval Infantry also operates air defence systems in organizations similar to those of the Army. The major difference is however, air defence on the Corps and Group Army (equivalent) level, where three Light Air Defence Regiments are operated on the Naval Infantry Corps level, and one Mobile Air Defence Regiment and three Light Air Defence Regiments on the Naval Assault Force level, leaving the naval infantry forces particularly vulnerable without army ground-based and naval ship-based air defence support.

Air Force Aside from the aerial and sensor assets of the Air Force under the ADC, the Air Force operates a small contingent of air defence systems for the protection of its air bases. These largely consist of 208 Light Air Defence Regiments protecting major air bases and aircraft production facilities owned by the Omzian arms contractors OMASC and Hongaz Electrics. Aside from this, a sizeable force of anti-aircraft artillery, consisting of Slingshot SPAAG and towed 'Skysentinel' dual 35mm guns, protects minor air bases from enemy low altitude and cruise missile attacks.

People's Militia Out of the three other branches, the People's Militia has, oddly, the most comprehensive air defence forces. Though some aspects of the force is obsolete in terms of technology, the People's Militia has a extraordinarily large gun-based anti-aircraft artillery force for the defence of cities - a role that is the central aspect of the People's Militia's home defence missions. For one, there are around 58 Militia Long Range Air Defence Regiments, with three battalions of upgraded S-75/SA-2 surface-to-air missiles per regiment. Though the missiles are obsolete by a great margin, improved detection and guidance systems, in addition to improved rocket motor systems, has given them improved capabilities against guided missiles and UAVs. On the other hand, the People's Militia also operates a wide array of anti-aircraft artillery. These come in the calibers of 35mm, 40mm, 57mm, and 105mm. All are towed, with quad, twin, single, and single mounts respectively; however, this is not to say that these guns are obsolete. The Skysentinel 35mm and Skyshield 40mm are based off the existing RL Skyguard design, with a dual radar/IR aiming capability. Both also utilize a modified type of the AHEAD ammunition. The 57mm and 105mm on the other hand, are also operated with radar-based aiming systems, in some instances even superior than that assigned to the 35mm and 40mm guns. In addition to this, the MUTM-AD system is also widely employed, and 'Black Fly' MANPAD systems are extremely popular with Militia units, stockpiled in Militia depots around the nation. The guns are normally operated with the complement of the MUTM-AD system.
Aside from this, the Militia is also the master of improvisation and creativity, in terms of cruise missile defence. These not only include a limited number of barrage balloons, but also includes fortifications similar to the "Flak Towers" of WWII, boasting a wide array of anti-aircraft guns and manned MANPADS mount for defence against cruise missiles, located at key points of the city. In addition, two additional systems are also operated: the 'Turtle' and the 'Backshell'. The 'Turtle' are in essence, CIWS guns mounted on a tank chassis. In this case, the retired Millennium 35mm CIWS is mounted on a chassis of the retired SM29 tank, with its guidance replaced by a dual IR/LADAR system, for the purpose of cruise missile defence. In addition, there is also the 'Backshell', which is a heavily modified truck with a rotating turret on its heavily modified and outfitted "truck bed". the rotating turret is manned by a two crew, and is consisted of a dual 15.5mm mount, in addition to a twin MANPADS mount, accommodating four Black Fly missiles. The turret system is also equipped with an IR imager and night vision system, with an integrated radio system for unit coordination in the role of cruise missile defence. Both of these are operated in specially designated Cruise Missile Regiments of an unknown quantity.

OOC: Minor figures are somewhat increased, but just as a note - Omzian doctrine prefers mobile platforms much more than fortifications or mass lines of defence with literally thousands of missiles lying around. This allows much greater flexibility, albeit at the cost of reduced communication capabilities and slightly increased vulnerability. One must agree with the fact that speed can't replace armour, yet in this case, on the defence it is important to note that flexibility is still very important indeed. A giant bunker with 1000 missiles, while being very invulnerable to a wide range of weapons, isn't what Omzian doctrine considers 'flexible'.

So aside from the fixed air defence sites (the ones that are indeed in large bunkers, albeit that's employed at a limited scale), huge underground factories, gigantic underground double-use subway systems in major cities, and other bunkers, you wont' see too many fortifications. What you will see is camouflaged turrets fixed on the ground working with artillery and missile launchers stationed far more inland; and rings upon rings of SAM sites of various sizes, types, and shapes surrounding major cities and along important points of the coastline. Which will still make Moscow look like an infant's plastic plaything.

Omzian Invasion FAQ, Round One

What is the Omzian Republic's Basic Geography?
The geography of the Omzian nation is not overly complex, but the landforms and climate can vary across different regions of the nation. By investigating the National Map (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v693/Omz222/nationmap.png), one may figure out some basic aspects of Omzian geography. A large island spanning approximately 2000km across, the land of the Omzian nation can be divided into several specific 'layers' of different geographic conditions. In the north, large mountain ranges, high altitudes, and tall peaks are the call of the day, with several mountain ranges (including the largest, the Sardonaz) spanning horizontally and diagonally across northeastern Omz. Gradually, as one's eyes sweep from northeastern Omz towards the west, the terrain will gradually become smoother and not as rough. Around the capital city of Osaria G.C./G.A. and the Tonsen River, large tundra dominates the region, spanning as south as Kanze, and as north and west as Port Lenonz. Temperature and climate here are still very harsh, with warm summers and long and bitterly cold winters being the rule of the year. Most of such tundra is permafrost tundra. Further to the northwest, the terrain becomes gradually rocky. This region, which is similar to the Canadian Shield, ranges from the city of Goran, along the western bank of the Tonsen River, towards the vicinity of Danzen. Climate in this region is relatively less intense when compared to other parts of the north. In short, the north is generally an inaccessible area, and one may find the region very difficult to navigate through in some places.

Towards the south, plains and small, worn down mountain ranges, dominate the terrain. As the terrain progresses down from the vicinity of Vansaraz, the large mountain ranges so common in the northeast are wearing down, replaced by the large, but weathered Alpashinez Range that stretches from Noren and Novenz, and other minor ranges that stretches between Novenz and Sinara. Along the southeastern coast stretching from Hongazgrad and southwest of Novenz, the land is generally flat with hills and large evergreen forests, and is very high in precipitation. This is however, separated at the Jonara Mountain Ranges, where a large grassland lies on the western edges of the mountains. This large grassland consists of a vast expanse of area stretching from the eastern parts of Lake Logan to the western banks of the East Lonn River and Port Hagras. Progressing from the eastern banks of the Lonn River, the grassland further wears down and becomes a large steppe. This large steppe, the 'Great Western Plains', ranges from Logan City to southeast of Danzen, and terminates around the area between Dolens and Korsan. This in itself then creates two pockets, revolving around the cities of Jonston and Hogan Point. The former area is dominated with a mix of grasslands and forests, while the latter becomes slightly more tropical, hence why the area around Hogan Point is often called the 'rain forest of the nation'. Upon closer scrutiny one may find this to be an exaggeration. Here in these regions, summer months are dominated by rainy seasons while there is a limited snowfall, but still bitterly cold temperatures in most cases, except in the areas around Hogan Point.

In short, the geography of the Omzian nation is varied, but can be divided into two general regions: the mountainous and freezing north, and the vast, flat south.

What About the Transportation and their Relation to Resources?
Transportation and infrastructure in the Omzian nation comes in numerous forms, and varies largely by the geography of the nation. Both highways and railways, key signs of developed nations, are predominant in the nation and are the dominating elements of links between large provinces and cities. Highways are normally multi-lane and very vast in their structure, while railways tend to consist of a combination of 'Maglev' systems and traditional rails, of the 1435mm gauge. There are about nine major transnational highways (MTR 1 to 15), along with four major transnational railway systems, including the famous 'Northern Frontier Railways', which penetrates the treacherous mountain ranges while connecting the entire northern parts of the nation with the south. Most of such systems are placed on a diagonal axis. Most significantly, these routes also provide a major economic link to the rest of the nation, giving much purpose to the numerous mining and timber operations of the north and northwest. These systems also gives the military various means to conduct national defence as well, the large, broad highways serving as natural landing strips while the railways serving as platforms for transporting war materiel and mounting weapons as well.

In regards to the transportation of resources, there are numerous routes as well. Natural rivers dot the nation, with some major rivers such as the Lonn being prevalent. Canals are also quite common in the south, the most significant being the East-West Lonn Canal, built in Dakarie Year 36. These rivers, which span across the vast plains of the south, provides numerous routes of transportation, in addition to sources of hydroelectric power when most of the nation is powered by nuclear and smaller but equally environmentally-friendly clean coal power plants. Oil and natural pipelines are also common, most connecting the vast oil fields of the northern parts of the steppe. Smaller highways and smaller national railway routes are even more common here, connecting not only the natural resources but also the golden fields of wheat and barley as well.

Aside from these, there are also numerous ports and airports. Ports dominate especially the southern coast of Omz, as well as the well-populated portions of the northern and eastern coast. Major ports include the trade center of Hogan Point, the strategically important Hongazgrad, and the large naval base of Port Hagras. Airports dot across the nation as well, with most concentrated around large population centers in varied forms, from large international airports (that can be used for military purposes as well) to small regional airfields and heliports.

Are There Any Basic Facts About the Demography of the Omzian Nation?
As of right now, the Omzian nation has more than five billion people as its population. Most of the population (or more specifically, 85% or over 4 billion) lives on the south of the Danzen-Kanze-Vansaraz axis, and around 30% living around the southern coasts of Omz. Around 61% of the nation is ethnic Omzians, but there is also a fair portion of immigrants that settled during the reign of the Donareais Imperium before Omzian independence, with around 20.5% identifying themselves as of European origins and 18% of Chinese origin. The remaining 0.5% consists of small, isolated communities in the north that are the descendents of the ancient Donnez culture. Most of the population speak Omzian, an agglutinative, SOV language isolate that somewhat resembles certain eastern Asian languages, formed around rigid syllables. Life expectancy is fairly long for a nation built around a mix of private and public healthcare. About 80% are identified as atheist or agnostic, while around 15% are identified as Honareist (an ancient religion popular among some ethnic Omzians that originated from ancient cultural and ethnic beliefs).

Among these people, more than 75% are identified as living in major cities, and their associated suburbs and outskirt areas. Among the exception, most live in small townships and 'incorporated' villages in the southern regions, while a select few inside resides in isolated mountain and fishing communities of northern Omz.

In terms of other aspects, many Omzians are self-identified as apolitical, which is the primary reason for relative low vote turnout rates when compared to other major democracies. However, this is not to say that they would have a similar view about themselves, as the Omzians have traditionally been deeply patriotic and proud about their distinct identity and culture.

Very shiney and nice... makes me kinda jealous that I don't have such a detailed describtion of my nations defences, specific geography and transport. Needless to say it's very good and helpful for anyone planning operations in your nation, though I'd dare say that there can't be many who would genuinely concider invasion... it's just not practical these days.

Alliance-type invasions are still possible, and one thing that marks us as unique is that we rarely practice conscription, even when we are invaded. Mostly there will be huge recruitment campaigns, but it's still all volunteer.
