Gorefest 2005

The Premise
The leaves are shriveled and brown, and the air is filled with a biting chill. Naked trees line the lonely streets like pillars, howling at the touch of a midnight breeze or a glimpse of a full moon while the call of a massive owl can be heard in the distance. And if one squints their eyes hard enough and listens real carefully, one just might see something peculiar...something that sholdn't be there. It can only be Halloween.

One of the most celebrated and fun-filled holidays in the United States, it's with great pleasure that Red, White, and Blue invites the rest of the international community to partake in our annual Halloween film festival, Gorefest 2005. We take the best of the best in the horror genre from around the world and stack them against each other to determine which is the scariest horror film of 2005. The winner is unveiled on the night of Halloween and is granted a massive trophy, a cash prize of $1,000,000, and the satisfaction of knowing they've produced or directed the most horrific film on the entire Nationstates globe.

The Rules
To participate in the international film festival Gorefest 2005, nations must enter at least two horror films from their nation into the competition, or at most five movies. Movie entries must be submitted in this format:

Title: (The name of the horror film)
Directed by: (Who it was directed by.)
Starring: (The key actors who played in it.)
Year: (What year it was made in.)
Description: (A detailed description of the movie's plot.)

Any additional information the nation would like to add onto the format is more than welcome. The horror film does not have to be from 2005, and can in fact be much older. Nations are encouraged to submit original horror movies. If enough interest is shown in Gorefest 2005, there will be three judges. If there's a lack of interest, I'll be the only judge. There will be a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winner. Movies will be judged on how clever the title is and how original the plot is. The deadline for entering Gorefest 2005 will be Sunday Night at a time I'll specify later. Actors and directors may be original (made-up) characters.

Miscellaneous Details
The annual Gorefest film festival is held in Musty Oaks, Montana, in West Oaks Park. The location has significant historical background; in 1959 police broke into taxadermist Orville Munson's house at the edge of West Oaks Park to discover a museum of preserved human bodies. Gorefest is very prominent, often involving the mayor of Musty Oaks and the city council. It's been held every week of Halloween since 1971.
