OOC: This RP is semi-closed. i've worked out the beginning with Rodenka and we plan on this to have diplomatic and military elements. Diplomatic intervention is allowed, as are observers. However, no actual military intervention will be allowed without permission from either myself or Rodenka.
Kilani Airspace
Rodenka-Air International Flight 714 was cruising at 30,000 feet, the Boeing 737's engines only audible to the passengers inside as a reassuring drone. Forward, in the cockpit, pilot Josef Weber was just turning the plane onto the new course, which would take them to Green River International Airport. His radio beeped, crackled, then sounded loud and clear: "Attention unidentified aircraft, you are in violation of restricted Kilani military airspace. Identify yourself."
Josef and his co-pilot exchanged a glance before he replyed, 'Uh, this is Rodenka-Air International Flight 714. We've flown this route before and never had any trouble."
There was a short silence followed by a harsh-sounding voice, "This is restricted airspace, Flight 714. You will come to the following heading immeidatly."
A transponder beacon started blipping on his radar...as did two fast-moving dots moving into flanking positions on eihter side of the Boeing. Josef swallowed nervously, "We copy. We are complying with your request." He reached up and flicked the "Fasten Seat Belt" sign on. before activating the intercomm, "Uh, folks, this is your captain speaking. We're going to have to make a slight detour, courtesy of the Kilani government. Please stay in your seats and remain calm."
The minutes ticked by slowly as the Boeing approached the Kilani airbase. As the Boeing descnded Josef watched two Su-35s peel off. Minutes later the Boeing slowly taxied to a stop. Within seconds the tarmac was swarming with military personell and a large stairway was rolled up ot the plane's exit door. A man was speaking over a mega-phone, "Exit the plane immedeatly with your hands clasped on top of your head. Cooperate and there will be no problems."
The civilians were herded off for interrogation and check-in. The Kilani military personell planned to find out just what this Boeing had been doing in restricted airspace.
