A Zackarothian military base 30 miles west of the main city Naga...


The men of base were already up. It was about 8 AM and they were already doing push ups,target practice, classes. The men of this base though were very diffrent from those at other bases in Zackaroth. They were made to make it look like it was a normal base. They were guarding something..something terrible. Benath the sands of this base was the bioggest expermiention lab in Zackaroth. No one but the sciencetists themselves knew what was down and the High Leader. Prisoners from jails around Zackaroth were brought here...never to be seen again.

A many hours later in the cool brisk air the desert wind bring around dusk it happened. While it seemed peaceful topside benath the ground was pure terror. Soilders where ready to call it a day when the ground shook. Not just lightly..but like an earthquake. Stuff fell off shelves. soilders fell to the ground. sand was shaking. Tent collasped but it was over soon. No injuries to be reported..yet.

The near by city of Naga felt the impact of the small Earthquake. It had jostled a few. James Aimless von strangaild looked out his window from his office. " What the hell??" he said. Suddenly his door opened and two men came in and bowed. " Sir...we have a problem." they in very dark tone.

Another few hours later..

James sighed. As high leader he knew about the stuff benath the base codenamed " Utiopa". Three other countries had also known about it to and had sent some sciencetists down to help out. Normally this would be a problem for Zackaroth and the other countries. Not this time. Somehow a message had gotten past Zackaroth Radio Control and leaked into the international community. If some other nations got ancy about what was going on down there his reputation would ruined among the perople of Zackaroth. He heard the message again.

Of course, the Nation of Amerath would get hold of any tedious information leaking from any public source. The most interesting thing was Amerath's decision.

The official delivering the message over the wire was grizzled, obiously seeing many desk problems before..

"Fellow Nation, we have heard disturbing news relating to your territories, and to say the least, worries the nation of Amerath. Although most sources say "earthquake", however, other .. smaller... sources claim experiments? Now, we won't make any overt messages to the public, but the research you were rumored to be conducting has interested us.. perhaps we can aid you?"

The man finished the message and sat back in his chair. He was far from the nation in trouble, so what happened wouldn't affect him, right?

James cursed. " Nit good. Already someone had heard the message and was able to piece togther some of it. Or were they?? There had been long rurmors of spies in the labs but nothing had been done about it. It was time to lie.


OFFICAL MESSAGE FROM ZACKAROTH

" We can assure you and the international community that there is nothing wrong and if you recived that message it was a ploy by rebels in our country to cast the internationals evil eye upon us. We can assure you nothing is wrong and it was a small earthquake.


From the High Leader of Zackaroth.


Alot of what James said didnt make sense. The message was recvied by the city of naga which was 30 miles away from it and the rebels were in the Moutains of Zackaroth which was infront of the country and the farthest away from Naga and almost any city in Zackaroth...

The reply was quick:

"Of course, nothing happened, just a few dead soldiers right?"

This time, anyone walking along the streets of Naga would see a man sitting ontop of a black vehicle, typing into a laptop. Around him stood 5 others, each looking various directions, each dressed as a commoner. (If you allow this, if not, pretend its a guy far into my nation)
The reply went on..

"Collapsing bases, hidden secrets. Sounds too much like the glorious Grand Empire of Amerath would be welcomed to help.. clean up.. You know, it's not too late to reconsider.."

( Ill allow it.))

james threw his coffe mug at the wall. He had never heard of this nation before. It must be a new one he had not crossed path with. They seemed very..noisy but James would not allow it. Suddenly a man in a military uniform entered.

" Sir. We have lost all contact with Utiopa!" he said quickly. James screamed in rage his anger filling his voice. " WHAT??!!. Do you know what going on?? You damn better know!! What happene?!. i want constant watch on that base. I want a small convey there to see whats going on. And if anyone lets this outs to the press or public your ass is going to the chambers of the Great tower!! YOU HEAR THAT!!"

The soilder gulped and bowed as James angerily walked out of the room.

OOC: For reference, it's "soldier", sorry, saw a lot of "soilders"

The man smiled as he finished typing. That should stir the blood. He nodded to one of his companions who handed the man a soda from the car. The companion spoke first..

"Think we should visit the place?"

The obvious leader on the car made a hesitant reply, "Not yet, with all that's going on, we don't want to be dragged in without Emperial clearence"

They all sat quietly, enjoying their drinks while the man sent one last message to the leader of the nation..

"I think you should know, we'll go public if you don't heed us.."

The all filed into the car. The engine started, and they all disappeared into the hussle of life.

James couldnt think. Who where these people?? they were not his brothers forces. He couldn't much. The archbishops knew but the people might become wary if they had a search and raid lockdown in each city. Once again. James was screwed.


3 small jeeps rode torwards the base. They were 4 in each making a team of twelve. It was getting dark now and some were nervous as hell. Suddenly behind them the seconded jeep exploded causing the third to break and smash into a rock and the first to speed up. The third jeep just stood there as the men piled out. Suddenly what looked like a fireball smashed into the jeep causing it to explode sending 2 of the men up in flames. One suddenly disappeared in a shroud of screams. The last man looked around. The way to the base was a narrow valley. There was no place to hide but behind the rock they crashed into. The lone man looked behind the rock and saw the mangled body of his comrade. he gasped but something grasped his head and pulled and the man thought no more....

The first jeep was already nearing the base. Somehow the two watch towers looked evil in the night. what was worse though no lights were on. Suddenly a red dot came from one of the towers and then a a shot was fired. The driver slumped dead. Shot threw the head. The passenger deseperatley tried to steer the vehcile swerving left and right. The swerving made it hard for sniper in the tower to hit anyone else.


Just when it looked like that car would make it a loud boom was heard as an RPG smashed into the car blowing it to bits...

The man yawned, he was tired of this damned city. If the nation of Amerath hadn't of sent him to this wasteland, he'd still be enjoying a nice drink on some island beach. But, alas, the higher powers decided his fate.

He sat in the now moving car, still on the laptop, he had put the reply address into the last mail he sent. Perhaps they would wisen up about the whole affair. Besides, his house, one of the 6 of Amerath, was not after what the lab, it was after a specimen of whatever there was.

James was crumbling from the pressure. " Get that new nation on the line. It was Amerath right?? Tell them to send in a crew of men to help. tell them to keep it small so the public wont notice anything." James said to an advisor.

Message to Amerath

It seems to us you have found out our little sercert. You will help us with this mission as you said you would. We are sending cordinates to you. Land in the Naga Military airport about 5 miles from naga and 45 miles away for the target zone. There you will meet up with a convoy. You shall get futher instructions when you get there.

The man read the message and ordered the car off into an alley where he quickly sent back the message,

"It will take one hour for the troops."

He clicked off the message and wrote another to House Secondus, the house he was employed to.
"Send what you need, coordinates are at.... (Insert here)"

It would only take 45 minutes in reality for the single transport to begin landing. Inside were 2 squads of House Secundus' special elite soldiers, the Feral Claws, each lead by a Feral Fang, the squad leader. They were trained as children to be loyal, and they knew how to kill. That's what made them nice for this mission.Each squad was loaded into an armed APC from the transport. The armorment of these APC's wasn't very spectacular, just a 50 caliber cannon, but they were still formidable. The car of the mail writer was sitting outside the airport, waiting for the convoy to pass by to join up with his House Brethern...

Zackarothian men were seen piling into a huge warehouse across from the landing strip. There was an aumtomated message for all military personal to head there for a breifing on the siuation at hand.

Of course, as soon as the transport set down, the two APC's disembarked, one headed for the convoy, the other headed to get their counterparts in the black car outside. It wasn't long before the 2nd APC rejoined the first near the APC, now 6 people heavier.

OOC: I'll wait till you post about the convoy moving before I post again, kinda typed this while eating dinner.

A man appeared on stage. Everyone quieted down. " as you know we have a mission. That mission is to rescue all surviors that happened in the lab accdient. We are also there to wipe out the threat. Our suscpions are confirmed when a small 3 jeep group of men was destoryed. We found out from radio chatter 2 were done in by RPGS and the other one crashed with the possiblty of a MIA crew. We are to find them and then head to the base. The minute we get torwards the base i want everyone on full alert. we will clear out the base of any rebles and then head down to the labs. In the labs there will be two teams. Both will be made up of half Zackaroth and half Amerath men. I will lead the first group and the other one will be lead by a Amerath soilder. You are to listen to him and me at all times. When we get into the lab we will split up there. my team going down to Alpha labs while the other team going into Civilian Quaters. We will meet up in the Beta labs and procede to delta labs. There is a Gama labs but is believed no one there is alive. Ok Everyone move out. My name is Sergent Kelly if you have an question. Ok move out!" Kelly said as the men were loaded up on jeeps and in Humvees. The convey started to move down the passage torwards the base.

OOC: hey, can you give me a briefy over what I'm expecting to fight or find?

The 2 APC's bounced along after them, both the flag and the House Secundus flag waving over each one. The 50 caliber turrets on each swiveled from side to side, awaiting any threat, even in this area, there was no garunteed safety.

The leader of the original intelligence crew of 6 was now out of commoner gear and in the trench gear of the House Secundus (Roughly blue leathers and black webbings). His 5 man group also donned the same. It was obvious that these men were not as elite as the Feral Claws or the Feral Fangs, but rather, common intelligence troopers along for the ride. It also didn't take long for the elite troopers to begin discussions about rumors..

"I hear we 'r' fightin some mean greenskined 5 armed monsters."
"Nei! I hear we are taking on some brutish rebels!"
"You're all wrong! It was robots! nanobots infecting humans!"

Oh course, they were all most likely wrong, but that won't be confirmed until they arrive.

OOC: If you have played any of the DOOM games then you would know but Ill list em.

Normal Zombie: A normal zombie with a bite and slash attack. Unlike other Zombies you will NOT become one if you are bitten by one. Some weild chainsaws http://pkey.us/images/zombies.jpg

Solider zombie: Like a normal Zombie but with a fire arm rangeing from a pistol,shotgun,or Machine gun.

IMp: A Demon. you will be seeings these alot. They throw fireballs and attack with there claws. Not dangerous if your in a group. http://dougjones.topcities.com/doom3imp.jpg

There are others but there surpises that I dont want to spoil. Plus your guys dont know about the demons but only theres something very wrong.

The 2 squads of Feral Claws were all polishing their guns in anticipation of battle. Unlike their counterparts, they wore wolf pelts over their shoulders, and their leather armor was mostly black, save for blue webbing. Their guns were heavy rifles, manufactured to put an enemy down. The only probley with these rifles was their rate of fire, which made them more like slug throwers. The Fangs also varied from their inferior counterparts. They wore golden ceremonial ropes about their body, and were decorated in various wolf-life icons.

The 2 APC's rolled on quietly, waiting for combat.

The convey passed one of the brunt jeeps. The men werent conncered really. Just a RPG had hit them. Bad luck for those guys. They then though started to slow down as they passed the brunt crashed jeep. The convey stilled mopved but slowly. About 4 men jumped out and checked behind the rock. Onme went back and threw up. The stench was horrible. One corspe was beheaded while another was torn in half guts slpattered everywhere. They returned there findings to Kelly who nodded. He seemlying said a prayer and the convoy moved on.

" Damn.. Something mighty powerful did Douglas and Joe in." said one guy.

Others started quietly charrttering about there theories ranging from Cannibles to left over "thing"s..from a year ago.

"Blast, am I on the right channel yet?" A voice crackled over the convoy's communications. The voice being the intelligence officer from before, he continued..

"If this is the right channel, someone respond? This is Inquisitor (rank) Mazarin of House Secundus, loyal house to Amerath. How the hell does this thing work?Well anyways, I'm in charge of the Amerath forces in this operation, so if anything needs my attention, I'm the one to send it to."

The crew with the Inquisitor began to laugh at his futile attempts at trying to crossbreed the 2 nation's technologies. Of course, the inquisitor gave them a rude gesture before messing with the dials some more.

" If you stop messing with the dials damnit I could get a message threw." said Kelly over his raido. " Listen I dont know if you were at the briefing but we are clearing out the base of any rebels then heading into the labs. Your taking half your men and mine to the Civie Living quaters while im taking half of your and mine into the alpha labs. We can meet up in Beta and head down to Delta." said Kelly over the radio. Suddenly the convoy stop They were entering the base and there were the two towers. THere was alot of open space. while the jeeps moved in a good postion other men provide covering fire for them but got no response.

The APC's operator's noticed their entrance to the compound and already had their weapons searching for live targets, trying to secure they disembarkment point. When the convoy came to a stop, the rear door of each APC fell open, allowing the Feral's and House Secundus Inquisitor to walk out quietly.

The inquisitor addressed his men, "Alright, we'll have to split up, but if anything gets awry, call me and we'll remedy the situation."

There was a silent nod from both the Feral Fangs. The Feral Claws stood quietly, waiting for the other commander to join them. Each Claw had their weapon trained on the buildings of the compound, waiting for something , anything, to happen that might alert the soldiers.

The inquisitor mummbled to himself, "Why do I have to give him half of the Ferals?"

Kelly quietly talked on the radio. " We have two up in each tower. One confirmed a sinper another a RPG. We can easily take them both down but the base will be alterted. The whole base is covered with a huge fence of barb wire and theres a gate right infront of us. We have confirmed movement behind it. We dont know what might happen but keep a close eye on things." Kelly said. He waved his hand to a man with a rocket lancher and waved again to a man with another rocket lancher. " 3..2..1" Kelly saud on his radio and boom. Two rockets smashed into the towers destorying them. Suddenly the gates open and about 30 men came running out screaming loudly in some inauible language. They were fireing rapidly with pistols,shotguns, or machine guns coming in with almost a banzi like charge. The Zackarothian men fired back at them gunning down a few trying to leave some for there comrades the Amerath.

A loud cry came from the Amerathian soldiers, not of terror, but of joy. The cry was of war!

"Face death!" was the battlecry as the Feral Soldiers rushed straight towards the advancing enemy , attempting to close into close proximity fighting (the superiority of Feral soldiers has always been close range, their long range skills were.. less than adequete. Each Feral carried a ceremonial sword for such close range combat). If any of these.. things.. got close to the Feral Claws or Feral Fangs, there would soon be nothing but piles of blood on the ground.

The inquisitor sighed, although he was extremely loyal to House Secundus. The elite troopers the house trained were much as their name explained.. feral.. They had a wolf-life heirarchy and they gained their joy and pay in melee battles with their ceremonial swords (Which were previously hidden underneath the pelts).

"I believe our soldiers are fairly adequete at this." The inquisitor remarked.

The enemy combants were eaisly dispatched. The soilders jumped out of there jeeps and HUmvess. there were 2 humvees each holding four soilders and about and 6 jeeps each holding 3 making a total of 17 men. They ran out and checked the corpses that were still intact. They looked werid and pale. There eyes seemed red. Kelly told every one to head into the base. The men piled in turning on there flash lights. There about 10 buildings in the base. " Ok everyone. i want you to search every nook and crany of this base before we go in." Keely said loudly as men started to check barracks and other buildings.

An hour later...

Nothing was turn up. the base was empty. No one but those 30 soilders seemned to have been here. " Maybe they all went into the help?? Ok men perpare to go into the lab. Follow me" Kelly said walking deeper into the base.

The Inquisitor had dispatched one of the squads of Ferals to follow kelly, he, in the meantime, had disappeared in one of the worker habitat areas, and his squad hadn't returned.

The feral fang with kelly was hushed, he didn't seem to notice anything, but he did have a radio to his comrade, the other fang.

OOC: I was wondering where this thread disappeared to.

The Zackarothians in the civie Quaters were quiet and nervous. They aimed there guns everywhere turning on flashlights. They look at the empty rooms seeing on smears of blood on the walls. they urse and mumur but keep quiet most of the time.

Kelly's group had found there way into the lobby of the Alpha room. there was one locked to the right and a door to left. The soilders looked around. Suddenly there was a clanking in the vents upove.

And, then of course, is when the Inquisitor made his grandiose entrance. Behind him walked the squad of ferals, their weapons at ease and their blades covered in the dried blood of the fight above the installation.

"The habs are clear."

The other Fang nodded to his comrade, rejoiced to see his long time wolf-brother alive.

The inquisitor and the 2 fangs also heard the clanking, and all their eyes seemed to focus on the roof.

Suddenly the door opened to the right. All the men trained there weapons on the door. suddenly a fire ball came out hitting one square in the chest setting him ablaze. They started firing into the room. Suudenly a vent ripped open and something grabedinto him. His screams echoed as gunfire was heard in the vent. To the left came two zombie marines both armed with light machine guns.

The Inquisitor looked suprised, his men firing into the door, ignoring the zombies with Machine guns.

The feral fangs however.. They ordered the claws to use their underslung grenade launchers (Usually used for clearing up a battle field for the melee-rush. It worked like an M203, mounted to the bottom of the rifles.), and fire at the zombies and the door. Each squad aiming at the two targets. The Fangs themselves aimed at the vents, waiting for something new to pop down.

The zombies were down instantly. something was moving threw the vents. It seemed to be dragging something along with it. The commtion stopped. " What the hell was that??" said Kelly looking around. " He started talking on the radio. " We are under attack by an unknown enemey. All units be on full alert." he said.

Back in the civi head quaters a soilder found a way down to alpha labs. The elvator though was moving. Suddenly it open and the soilder was mobed by zombies and was taken down. The locked civi doors open and zombies came out of them. in the narrow corrdiors it was hard trying to fend them off. One man ran back to the elvator that headed to the lobby only to find to his horror more zombies wrere piling out. There were about 10 zombies from each elevator and 1 or 2 zombies coming out of every locked room.

One of the feral claws was busy prodding at the dead zombie, making sure it was really dead.

The inquisitor looked at kelly, "Anything you want to explain?" As he said that, the ferals began looking a lot tougher while staring at the sargeant.

" i have no idea whats going on. I never went into this base. Im just here for search and rescue but it seems we need the rescue now. I cant get in contact with the above ground and the elvator has been cut. were stuck down here. Lets see if we can meet-" Kelly said interupted by screaming on his radio.

" Theres to many to many!!* gunfire* I think there zombies!! They keep there just no end. There going after the Amerath forces. WE need help!!. We need-* static*" oh good..my legs someone help..* white noise. raido goes dead*

" we can meet up with whats left of the seconded team." said Kelly growling.

With Sargeant Kelly
People should start wondering why the Inquisitor was with Kelly, and hadn't split off like planned, but that didn't seem the top moment.

The Inquisitor spoke sourly, "Lets go." With that, he set off in the proper direction.

2nd Feral Claw Team
The Feral Fang growled and lunged at a nearby zombie, slicing it's head clear off it's shoulders using his sword. Around him his Feral Claws were locked in combat as well, some didn't have time to draw their swords, and were using their guns as clubs, or shooting the weapons point blank. Most of the 7 man team were using their swords however, and we're giving dead to these zombies. It'd be expected that most military units would engage from afar, but these were House Secundus soldiers, elite melee soldiers, and they realized these zombies could take quite a punishing from bullets and that it was best to get into the enemy's defenses.

The Feral Fang growled, "Keep it up! Don't let them to the rest of the Zacks! (The slang for Zackaroth). We need to hold out!" His words were echo'd over his short wave radio.

Once again, he flung himself at a nearby zombie, stabbing towards its stomache as a cry came out from one of the Feral Claw soldiers suddenly being taken down in a pool of blood and guts.

The zombies started to fall and slump. The battle was over for now. Gore laid upon the walls and floor. Out of the eight that came only 5 were left alive. Chris Daniels was one of the lucky few. The friends hew had just made either laid dead or were dieing. He had just joined last week in the army. He was expecting dead friends but nothing like this. The other 4 were men named Christian,John,Ryan,and Jake. All of them though was scared shitless.

The Feral Fang of the squad sat ontop of a pile of zombie bodies, cleaning his blade. He looked down to the survivors of his own squad, out of the 6 Feral Claws he had brought, only 3 were left standing, the dead ones were scattered out with the zombies. He turned his attention to what was left of the 'zacks'. "Check yourselves, make sure you're ready for the next attack. Whatever those were."

His 3 Feral Claws were in various states of rest around the Fang, 2 of them talking, one sitting against a wall.

" Im taking control now. Im the most experisnced here of the zacks forces. Im leadding this party now. Screw Kelly's orders. Im done listening to him. He lead my squad into death before. He aint doing it again!" Christian said going into the elvator. The others soon followed.

The Feral's watched. The claws looked to the fang. "We were ordered to follow them, so I suppose we'll have to go as well."

With that, the fang turned and wrote on the wall in paint from one of his webbing pouches, "House Secundus, elevator". The fang then hopped off the pile of bodies and started to follow the other team, the Claws soon falling in with him.

With the Inquisitor
The Inquisitor was trying to find his other feral team, the 5 line troopers and his Feral squad followed in suit. He looked over his shoulder to see if Kelly was still going to help look.

Kelly looked around. He looked at the elavator and waited. It started coming down but it passed the alpha sector. Instead the elvator was hurtrling down and stopped in the Beta labs. Kelly cursed and tried to summon the elvator but couldnt. the power was cut. " Son of a bitch!" he yelled.

Christian got up and looked around. The elvator had stopped and opened. The power was dead though. The others began to stir and walked out. " Come guys..lets find out where we are." christian said weakly.

Ferals
And out behind Christian came the 3 Feral Claws and the Feral Fang, the fang, rather than keeping his empty rifle, now sported a pistol in his left hand, and his sword in the right.

"This place looks bad."

The Inquisitor
The inquisitor watched the elevator pass by.

"What was that?"

He watched kelly expectantly.
