Crooked Ground Defense Force
The Crooked Ground Defense Force (CGDF) is a very large force, composed entirely of part-time troops, and numbering over one million personnel. The core of the CGDF is the small tank corps, composed of around 700 Centurion vehicles, and the six supporting mechanized infantry regiments, relying on a mixture of armored vehicles for transportation.
There are no permanent units larger than the regiment (10,000 troops), although during a war situation divisions and other large formations are grouped together.
While the CGDF is notoriously poorly-equipped, the acquisition of swingfire ATGW systems and associated carrier vehicles represents a very significant leap foreward in terms of technology. A growing number of CGDF commanders have also started calling for the re-equipment of the force with the new FN-FAL automatic rifle, but it is very unlikely that this will take place any time soon.
The average CGDF infantryman can draw on the following personal armaments:
-.303 Lee-Enfield No.4 Rifle
-9mm Owen Sub-Machine Gun
-9mm Sterling Sub-Machine Gun
-7.62mm Bren Light Machine Gun
-7.62mm SKS Semi-Automatic Rifle
-.38 Webley Revolver
-PIAT Anti-tank rocket projector
-51mm Light Mortar
