"Hell no! We won't go! Down with Major, down with Major!" The dictator of Petro Paulo, known as Major, looked down his Imperial Palace. An angry mob had been standing there for weeks and weeks now, and liberals from all over the country were still joining them. "Hell no! We won't go! Down with Major, down with Major" Major sinked into his own thoughts, how he had managed to become the almighty dictator of Petro Paulo, almost 50 years ago. Now, he was an old man, approaching his 80th birthday and there was a good chance he would not make that birthday. Or atleast not in freedom. He scared up as another man tried to break through the line of policemen and security forces, standing there for weeks. Most of those men were liberals themselfes, but the tank standing behind them was a real turn-up for their loyalty. If only Major had done other things than increasing the size of his military the latest of years, then he wouldn't have had so many enemies. But what was done, whas done. Suddently, a shot was fired. A man in the line of security forces fell down, the sign for democracy was given.

The general outside the palace immidiately gave the order to start shooting at the mob, but most of the police force were not really excited about shooting their own friends and allies. And when most of the loyal supporters of Major left the tank and fled into the palace, most of them joined the mob. The fight was short, not many men had tried to resist the men looting the palace. Still, it took them 30 minutes to reach the upper rooms, where Major mostly stayed. He swallowed, and took the .45 pistol out of his desk. Major put the gun against his head, and pulled the trigger.

Laughter filled the Democracy Square, formerly Major Square, in the capital of Petro Paulo. Most of the names wich Major had given to cities and other big places were renamed, and so the capital was named Sueño. A man was standing on a big stage, and was obviously being killed. He was put in a box filled with meat eating ants, and the process was finally taking its toll. The general, who had killed hundreds of people under Major's rule, screamed like a wild animal.

The elections had been short, the only real candidate was Madonna Criconne, a woman who had led the resistance for over 40 years. She was a basket full of dreams, desires and expectations. The whole country supported her back, and now it was time to show Petro Paulo to the world. The people should no longer be scared of being killed in the middle of the night, or being kidnapped for scientific tests. Petro Paulo was free, for all honest and well thinking humans. Democracy for All.

Madonna grinned, she stood in front of the door that said "El Major!", she called a servant and told him to remove that writing and to replace it with "The President". Almost in a reflex, she knocked the door. For a moment, she really believed she was invited for a "talk" again. What few people knew that she, instead of the woman who did good for the poor under the rule of Major, was the "girlfriend" of the dictator. One of the very few who was close to him. She was recruited by the resistance with many suitcases of pejos. Still, now that she was the country's main ruler she beliefed in the democratic process, and that would be her first job. Instate ministers and a democratic system that would work. Meanwhile she had entered the square room, a large map of the country hung in the middle with the most important military stations dotted in red.

Madonna took a seat and put the laptop on her desk. She could hear the servant working on the door, and called him in. "Bring me General Franco, please."

The servant left without hestiation or response and she went back to work, the democratic process would be quite simple. Every 4 years a new president would be chosen, the number of times a president was re-elected did not matter. Then, he/she would choose their ministers and the party who won the elections would get 40% of the seats. 20% would go to the main losing party, and all other seats in parliament would be divided under the other.

"Yes, now just put that into a document." She opened up a word document and prepared her text when 7 e-mails came in. Madonna opened them and almost fell out of the window, crashing into Democracy Square.

"General Franco, I beg you, take a seat" The short man mumbled something that looked like 'thank you' and took a seat. He looked around the office and could not help feeling depressed. Years ago he had refused an offer from the resistance and now he was sitting in the office, with in front of him the leader of the country, who had agreed to most probably that same offer. Madonna saw he was a bit depressed and spoke, "General, you must not be sad. I have a way better offer for you, one with more status, maybe?" He looked hopefull, "Well, continue, woman!" He could not help say woman, in his years of commanding a band of criminals and other scum into battle and slaying innocent citizens, he could not help having growed a hate for women! "Not that brutal, General Franco. Listen at the offer!" She pointed at the map behind her. "Where do you have military control at this point?" He looked frightened, "um...everywhere!"

General Franco had never hoped for such an offer, he had expected to end up like all the other government supporters, dead. Instead, they had thrown him into the deepest and darkest jail they could fine somewhere in Sueño! Now, 3 months later he was standing in the President's workplace having offered a job as the Minister of Defence! He did not doubt, "Very well, I will take it. What is my first job?"
"Make sure every breed of resistance in the country is destroyed, and while you're doing that you will talk to the delegate of the Democratic Imperium of Halberdgardia. They have offered a list of military supplies!" She shuffed him the print of the email. "Now go, I'm sure you have things to do. A servant will show you to your office!"

The rifles and tanks are small withdrawals from the large amount we field in our front-line military. We used to use modern-day RL U.S. equipment until we had the money to upgrade to NS weaponry. Petro Paulo, this will keep you safe until you have the money to upgrade to better NS weaponry.]
