Marnikara System

The Ship hung there. The massive Cargo Liner just…sat. The Savior of the Marnikaran species. The Binary Planet that was their home system had begun its ending days many years ago, the Smaller of the two worlds had been impacted and the orbit that once made the larger planet a beautiful world for the Marnikara now left it soon to collapse into itself. The event was happening with amazing speed, and this craft, the MPC Morthara, was trying to load as many people as it could onto its self containable habitat.

The Planetoid was a brilliant design. From the outside, it merely looked like an iron ball One hundred Kilometers in diameter. It just hung there, with the Silver hulls of ships entering its interior. The Outer metal layer was merely a design signature. Extending Ten Kilometers from the surface of the ship was the Klair Field, or more accurately, the Atmosphere/Shield that gave the ship its Atmosphere. Ships moved in and out, transporting people.

But then, at some unknown signal, the ships just began to pull into the surface of the Planetoid. By some unheard command, the craft all entered the Field. Only Five million had been saved, but then, looking below. People could tell that to attempt to rescue anymore would be an impossible task. The storms where to a point where they where ripping apart the cities with ease. There was no way that ships would find any more living upon the surface. The Massive craft waited until all craft where inside, before its hangers began to close, and the Field was pulled back to hug the surface of the massive craft.

Then, it just waited. It would become apparent that it was simply waiting for the two planets to collide. They would record the deaths of billions that would one day remind others the wrath of God. This was forever bound in the powers of Eternity. No one would forget the day that Marnika was destroyed by Mara, no one would forget the day that god gave his children a new reason for existence. Their time of indulgence was at an end. They had lived for long times by themselves, letting the weaker races get along with their lives. But now, that would end. There where races that sinned against God, there where races that stood against his will. They must be converted as the two planets collided, the priests spoke of a new age. As the planets fell apart and became asteroids, the Massive ship seemed to turn into a mirage, and then falter, before disappearing completely.

Ingora System

The Massive craft simply was there. The planet before them launched fighters, all that their newly formed space navy could cope to hold up. They did not stand against the Massive Planetoid, which simply let loose a hail of fire which sliced apart the fighters before it. It Continued to hang there, slicing through the worlds ground defenses. Soon troops would be landed, but for now, the Planetoid was content to slice away at its leisure.

"Sir, a standard planetary anamoly. Large discharges of energy. Do you want to send in a shuttleprobe to investigate?"

The man, sitting at his desk, replied, his voice sturdy, and sure.

"Of course. A single shuttleprobe should give us all the info on that system we need. It'll take approximately 14 hours to reach the system, but we can't afford to let any anomalies go unscanned. Not after the Vallia affair. I mean, after that, I got demoted to this pissy little monitoring station! Move it!"

"Yessir!"

A few minutes later, a tiny shuttle, refitted with an FTL engine, and a mass of instruments with which to scan, transmit, obtain, and store information was sent. A tiny, white object, it also had a translator, but only, on the slight offchance that sentient beings were there...

Ingora System

The Explorer Tertiary, one of several dozen science vessels sent out by the expanding Kalden Republic, was on a routine survey mission. Several days ago they had picked up transmissions and basic space travel coming from this system. They had changed course, intending to initiate first contact with the new species. But now, as the 200-meter ship appeared with a flash from it's artificial wormhole, everything had changed. The navigator had brought them in relatively close to the inhabited planet. Several hundred thousand kilometers, in fact.

The ship itself was na elongated oval shape, regualr bumps potruding from the matte grey surface.

In the command center, deep in the center of the ship, the Sensor Officer's board lit up with contacts. He spun, hissing in his reptilian tounge, "Senior One, we have large contact, about two hundred kilometers directly forward of us. It appears that it just annihilhated that planet's defenses...reading multiple smaller ships heading for the planet."

The commander stood and strode over to the sensor board, "Incredible..." he said, "It's a planetoid. With an artifical atmosphere. Our researchers have been trying for years to come up with such a thing."

He glanced at his Tactical Officer, "Assesment?"

The Tactical Officer looked over his controls and then back at the Senior One, " isuggest going to Alet Level Four. They may be hostile. Rig for silent running."

"Make it so!"

Klaxons sounded as the ship's lighting and non-essential processes shut down, diverting energy flow to ECM and weapons. THe hull fo the ship changed as plates of matte-black armor deployed all over the ship's surface and rail-gun barrels emerged from hardpoints. Smaller, more rapid-fire point defense guns engaged and the automated firing system began tracking for targets. Fore and aft torpedo tubes slid open. Electronic Counter Measures engaged and all active sensors shut down. The engines reduced power and engine emissions, making the ship slower but harder to detect. The Kalden ship slid onwards through the starry void, alert and ready.

The Command Deck of the MPC Morthara

Deep within the bowels of the ship, underneath the City Living, underneath the Massive Foundries, underneath the entire Netowork that was the planetoid, stood the command deck. In the Room, the Form of High Marnimara Xolurandu. He looked at the messages before him.

-:Two Unidentified Ships:-

He sighed. His hand, long and clawed, reached and taped a few buttons on a consol that appered seemingly out of no where.

"Arc Marlien, please Report to the Command Deck." He said in into it. The voice that repeated over the Planetoid was...massive. Had a human been listening, it would have burst his ear drums, the sheer loudness of the sound. It took next to no time for the warrior To report.

"Yes Marnimara?" He said, in a voice that would have been called a shout by many.

"There are two ships inbound. Bring them in, and assure them they are not going to be harmed." The Leader said in a tired tone.

"Sir, do you wish me to destroy them once inside?"

The Marnimara considered, then shook his head.

"No, remove all weapons from the craft, kill those who resist, but only those who resist. Lets not kill more then we have to."

"YEs sir."

As it was, both ships that where not affiliated with the Planet below where caught in the tractor beams. BEing brought slowly towards a small opening within the side of the craft.
