A none important lackey was ordered to broadcast a message across the universe that had been written by someone far, far more important than him self. And he did so.
To: Our Fellow Nations
From: The United Sith Empire, Diplomatic Core
Message: As many may already know, the United Sith Empire is one, large space-fairing armada. Though we are an expansionist power, we have not yet conquered sufficient worlds to stabilize and create a healthy economy for our selves. So therefore, we request other Empires and nations sell us some planets, rich with raw resources and farming potential. We need fuel to power our ships, and food to feed our troops. We need metal to create new ships to add to our armada, and we need lands to train our soldiers. Contact us if you have such planets, and perhaps we can arrange a purchasing price.
"So, some peoples are looking to accuire planets, rich in metals, and/or farming potential?"
"Looks that way."
"Do they have any interesting trade-goods or components?"
"We shall soon find out."

While we do not have any settled planets, we do have the location of a number of uninhabited worlds, and unclaimed systems, that may interest you.
Should you be interested, we await your response.

It depends. How well documented are these worlds and systems? Are they planets, or mere gas giants? Can their surfaces be harvested, or are they ice balls or a gigantic mud pool? We must inspect our purchase before we buy it, you see.

Official Message to the United Sith Empire
We have approximately 227 'resource colonies', or colonies created for the express purpose of farming, mining, and gathering other valuable resources for the populated colonies.
We are in the process of colonising 47 more, and are abandoning 22 of them, mainly due to the fact that they are too far away for our fleet to adequately protect from pirates and raiders, and they are becoming a drain on our resources. These worlds inhabit 12 systems, and two of these worlds are suitable for farming, and inhabitance, assuming that your race breathes an oxygen-nitrogen mix, such as the one of Zegenthis.
[information relayed]
These worlds, although small, and generally only bringing in a small amount of resources, as we simply plant crops, and send in harvest, likewise with mining, we skim the cream of the crop, and leave over 95% of the resources intact, will be well suited to your use.
In return for your inhabitance of these worlds, we do not wish for repartations. However, a military alliance would protect our borders from pirates and raiders extremely well, and protect some of our more inhabited worlds from raids, and ease much of the pressure from our military.
So, to sum up our requests -
1 - You gain the 22 worlds no longer profitable for the League.
2 - You do not allow pirates nor raiders through your empire, nor a hostile force, if you can allow it.
3 - You sign a mutual-defense treaty with the League, giving us both the responsibility to pledge all of the forces we can reasonably afford to each other's defense, in the face of hostile invasion.
4 - You sign a trade treaty, allowing both Sith and League citizens the rights of passage for the purpose of trade, and the right for both League and Sith citizens to be judged under the laws of the nation they are in at the time of allegedly committing a crime.
5 - We will pay a ... let us call it a tithe, of $1 trillion League Monetary Units per year (Worth approximately 1.7 Galactic Standard Credits each), until your people are suitably settled in to the new worlds they shall inhabit, in order to fund any losses you may take from the numerous pirates around the region (although we have no doubt in your ability to slaughter them without mercy)
Message End

"Well, Kanaerion, it looks like we're going to negotiate another successful treaty. The League loses those pirates, and the concentration of the Sith fleet should soon wipe them out. Why, they'll have worlds, and we'll have defense, and order! Of course, they may take a few losses from the pirates initially, but a negotiation of this genius, I may double my pay! I just hope they don't take the whole tithe business to mean that the pirates are too powerful...

Each of the worlds/systems, are relatively sparcely documented. The systems hold mixes of gas and terrestrial planets. Each of the terrestrial worlds can be harvested in either fashion. Should you be interested, we shall provide the spectro-graphic, and vital stats of a number of the worlds.

Very good. We will accept, and will begin drawing up plans to spread our fleet through out the systems to stop the Pirates from raiding the planet.
Reply to Theao:
Very well...send it over.

These are simply three representative examples of worlds we are offering. There are those that drift to extremes, as well as gas giants and those that require terrafroming.

We have not done readings on most of the planets, considering they were originally hired out to independant proprietors, although neither of the two inhabitable planets have major seismic anamolies, or vastly unbalanced weather.
Four more planets would be inhabitable, but have strange weather patterns, and energy storms, or seismic problems. The rest are unbreathable, and whatever problems they may have are undocumented.

The Dram Mining Consortium would be willing to sell pure Iron, Lead, Aluminum, Copper, Uranium, Cobalt, and Zinc along with Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Carbon Dioxide in liquid form. Prices will range of item, but due to a great surplus of materials, they will be cheap.
