OOC: This is my first attempt at actually creating a story-line. Comments would be greatly accepted. This will not be a long, drawn out ordeal. Hopefully I will have it finished in one post.

IC:

"Hey, Warren!" a hushed voice shouted. "Take a look at this!"

The man named Warren walked towards his companion, and looked over the slight hill. "Whoah. That's really something Tso. What do you suppose it is?"

"It's a city you idiot."

"It can't be a city, it's not on any map. It's better left alone anyway."

"Your a wimp."

"And I'd like to be an old wimp if you don't mind. That city has all kinds of guards and fortifications. You know it's not one of ours. The king would never allow something like that. I say we just leave it alone, and report it to the Chieftan when we get back to the city."

"Alright then, no use in trying to search the ground now, not with that city there. Ain't no way we'd be able to set up our equipment without them coming after us."

--

"You sure we should be doing this?" Tso asked as they approached the Chieftan's office.

"Yes I'm sure. The sooner we tell someone, the sooner we won't be to blame if something happens."

They walked into the Chieftan's office, where they were greeted by two fierce looking prefects.

"Good evening sir, we were wondering if we could just have a moment of the Chieftan's time? It's a matter of national security." Warren tried to be as polite as possible whenever he could manage it.

The prefects stood stone-faced and still. Nope, no way the two men were going to see the Chieftan as long as these two had anything to say about it.

"On three. You give them a distraction, I'll try to get past them. Got it? Good." Tso muttered under his breath. "One."

Warren's heart started pounding.

"Three!"

Before Warren could make an excuse that Tso had no even mentioned two in his counting, Tso made a run for the door. Warren ran full speed at the two prefects, ramming into them. One of them fell, but the other picked Warren up by the hair of the head, throwing him on his back against the floor.

By that time, Tso was in the Chieftan's office and began to explain about what they saw. "Sir, it was a ginormous fort. There was no sign of our mili..." At that point, the prefects barged in about to throw Tso out too.

The Chieftan held up his hand. "Let the man finish his story men."

The prefects shrugged and stood on each side of the door.

"As I was saying, there was no sign of our military anywhere. There were these men dressed in black. Some had weapons I've never even seen before. It was like they were all part of some militaristic cult or something sir. I strongly urge you to inform the King or the Minister of Defense or somebody sir! It is not on any map, and is heavily fortified."

The Chieftan took this into consideration. "I think that I will do as you suggest and inform the King. I have never heard of such a place before, but I assure you we shall check into it. Now, it's time for you to leave."

The prefects picked Tso up by the arms, and carried him out of the building, dropping him on the steps next to Warren.

"Well Warren, its not our problem anymore."

--

Days passed and the Chieftan still had not informed anyone else of the fortification. Finally one of the prefects asked him if he really would do anything about what the two men had said.

"In all reality gentlemen, I had utterly forgotten about it. I shall inform the King this instant."

The Chieftan picked up a communication device that was made specifically for government officials. It was a entirely secure line. It not only transmitted the voice of the people talking, but also their pictures, so that you could see them as they talked, and who you were talking to. "Your Majesty, I apologize for bothering you, but this is of utmost importance sire."

King Georic looked at his device, it was one of the Chieftans. "Hurry up, I am pressed for time."

"Yes Your Majesty. Sire, there is a large fortification just outside of my city. Two men informed me of it while they were out on a expedition. It appears as if they are housing an entire private army sire. It poses a threat to the security of our nation sire. Also, none of the men in the fortification show any sign of recognizing you as the King. They truly seem in defiance of your reign."

The Chieftan had no idea about most of the things he had just told the king, he had never even seen the fortification. But the king did not know that, and the Chieftan knew that if anything made the king angry, it was not recognizing the Crown of Almohed.

"Very well then, I shall send some men to find out what this is all about. Good day." The king turned off the communication device. He immediately ordered three spies to go to this fortification, and bug it. To find out all they could about this 'private army'.

Each spy left Almohed City at a different time. If one was killed, they did not want all of them killed. The first spy was successful in his mission. He planted devices all around the fortification in the cover of night. But he could not get inside the fort, so he settled with what he had done, and returned.

The second spy, under the cover of night was able to sneak inside the fortress and placed bugs where he thought the most information might be gained. Some were in a place the spy realized was a armory, others were in mess halls, and some were just places where he could find a place to hide them.

The third spy, unfortunately, was more successful than the other two. But he only placed two bugs. One in the prison where he was held, and one in the room where he was interrogated by the apparent leader. After much torture and interrogation, the leader finally had him executed, gaining no information from him whatsoever. Though the spy died, his two bugs were the most successful.

From the information gained by all the bugs in the fort, mainly the one in the room where the third spy was interrogated, later found out to be the Ugu's throne room, Almohed's intelligence crews found out that the private army called themselves the Order of Xil-Ar. Evidentally, they had named themselves after an ancient civilization that was known for its brutality. Also, the Order was created in the early years of Almohed's civilization, by the enemies of the King of Almohed.

This information was forwarded to King Georic. After hearing this, Georic had the men give him the listening devices, so that he would be the only one privy to the information coming from the fort. Each man who had originally been on the intelligence crew, was relocated.

Through his own ears, the King found out that though the Order's original plans were to overthrow the King of Almohed, the current Ugu, who went by the name Ugu Viu, planned to spread across the universe and topple all governments who did not agree with the Xil-Ar way of thinking.

King Georic was shocked to say the least. He decided it was better to leave the fortress alone, and let the Order of Xil-Ar give themselves away. King Georic did not tell anyone except for his Minister of Defense, that he knew about the Order. And he wanted to keep it that way so that the Order could not find out that he knew.

OOC:

Thanks for reading. This is just the introduction to the Order of Xil-Ar. I figured I had better introduce it to the intergalactic :P community before I start using them in my other rps. Once again, please comment. Constructive criticism is always appreciated!
