After the Tocrowkian Government was criticized for it's controversial media policy's, The still extremely new Steward Isabella Reinhard rushed to reform the media into an organization more interested in servicing the public rather than the Tocrowkian Government.

1)Media Organizations are no longer required to register with the Ministry of Public Enlightenment. All organizations currently registered may request to be removed. The laws against pirate radio stations remain strict, how ever, laws against independent news papers are greatly reduced.

2)Journalists and reporters are no longer required to have their stories reviewed by Government officials.

3)The Governments every word is now no longer true, and newspapers and media stations may now question the Governments actions.

4)Government Journalists are now likely to be less effective at sedating the populace with Propaganda, while free lance ones are now allowed to say and or publish what they wish.

When asked why she did this, Renhard replied:

"If the Tocrowkia is advance as a culture, and as a people, than we must encourage the sharing of ideas and the creation of news ones...not oppress it..."

This, of course, has stepped on the Ministry of Public Enlightenment's toes in a serious manner. There have been rumors of a possible coupe in planning, as well as plans to install a fully military dictatorship of Tocrowkia, though these rumors are of yet unfounded.
