The planet was dead. The grey surface cold, the plants and animals having long crumbled into mere dust.
Six moons orbited this dead planet, the mammoth power generators still generating power, and storing it, to an unknown means. The moons were large, and likewise dead, but with huge, pulsing power generators in the very core of the moons, like a giant, throbbing parasite, and, if anyone had been there, and had some sort of advanced scanning device, they would've seen streams of power heading towards one of four kilometre-squared facilities on the planet, each which had a power line, heading down into the faintly glowing core of the planet.
In the core of the planet, a small orb began to glow. The glow began to spread, until the light of the facilites was blinding, and a ring, such as the sound from a pure, clear bell, began to spread outward...
