Arkanaland to Launch Museum Ship[Open RP]

Arkanaland

Through Corporate Sponsorship and Private Donations, the largest Museum in Arkanaland, Land Archane National Museums, based in Feigstaf, New Mei, has begun a Museum Expedition. The restored sailing ship, Windchaser (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v612/Wubboux/Meseumship.jpg) was converted into a floating Museum, which surprisingly, has only two treasured items from Arkanaland itself.

The reason? This Ship has had all of its nonessential decks cleared and opened, not only for Arkanaland's ancient treasures - but also for the World's. That's right. The Land Archane National Museums, Inc, is asking that any willing and interested Nation, donate (for a short while) their National treasures as well, to be showcased on the ship.

The WindChaser will make frequest stops along its world-spanning route, visiting friendly ports and lowering its gangplank for visitors, for one week at each port, as well as to pick up any Museum-Quality piece the Nation may be willing to share to the world.

At the end of the Voyage, all items donated will be returned to their respective Nations, after a month-long celebration in Kali'Phanor. The Ship, in actuality, will circle the globe twice. The first round, picking up and showcasing the items, and the second - purely showcase, so that the Nations visited early in the Voyage may see all of the precious items in the ship, from all over the world.

The WindChaser will go unescorted, yet there will be a large contengient of well-armed Guards aboard.

The WindChaser is due to depart in one (RL) week.

OOC: I thought this would be an interesting RP. A way for any willing Nation to showboat (so to speak) their most prized and ancient items, four from each Nation is the limit.

I'd prefer to keep this a clean little RP, yet if anyone's willing to shake it up (if there are enough volunteers for this expedition), perhaps a little violence could shake things up as well.

Also, this is just the IC/OOC Sign-Up thread, so follow the status quo and fill out the form.

Greetings from Nova Boozia. We have several items to submit, as our glorious country is a federation of many ethnicities. In total, we have three items to present, the Holy Mug of Beer of the original boozian settlers, the Great Whale Skull of the Albese ship people, and the banner carried by an unknown soldier during General Schmaldt's final assualt.
The first was believed to be quite simply any old tankard that was taken when the Boozians left their birthplace of Russia (We are an offshoot of the hunnic race) for Sarmatia. It was carried with us as a simple logistical item and was half drunk by our great founder(name unknown). This is not of course original but is a replica from the middle ages and thus qualifies as a relic.
The second is even more ancient. When the earliest Albese had embarked on a quest to locate the legendary Talma (later boozian) archipeligo, they were lost and feared running aground on treachorous sands, and they saw whales who had beached which showed them the way through to the islands. They took many of the skulls and preserved them in ice (a funeral usually reserved for humans). This is the last survivor.
The banner is more more recent, from about 1850, when the earliest of the great wars against Carlusia, a long time oppressor, were in full swing. The banner shows the company emblem of the 9th Gurstwick light infantry 3rd company, and, coupled with old religous symbols, is the basis of our modern flag. The banner carrier was shot in the early part of the battle of Hurfhall, the decisive battle of the famous General Schmaldt's final offensive, a plan rivaling Hanibal's invasion of Italy in it's genius and risks. An unknown man then grabbed it before it could fall and told his comrades that the banner would not touch the ground until it reached the city palace, and charged through the small gap in the walls. The rest of the army followed him, and as he was shot a second man took the banner and the charged continued, until a triumphant Captain Calstisch planted in the palace stand and shattered the defenders morale.

Edit: We are located in the north atlantic, between Britain and Labrador

My nation is not on a RL Globe. It's a slab of land that i created. So your "General Location" wouldn't really work for me. Other than that i can fill out the rest. I just need time to think of something for this.

Aye, that's fine. Having a RL World Location isn't needed anymore, I was just wanting to use it for roleplay continuity - so instead, the ship will go to Nations in order of sign-up.

IC:

Nova Boozia, on behalf of the Land Archane National Museums, inc, the Windchaser, her Captain and Crew - we thank you for your fine examples of Boozian Culture and History. Your Nation will be the first stop on the Meseum's Voyage.
