Bloodless Revolution Hailed by Citizens, Country leaders alike in the former Holy Empire of Golden Omega

Marxton((Captial City))--Today history has been made in the former Holy Empire of Golden Omega. The Cardinals and Archbishops have officially stepped down from power in a surprise move and given all power to the Reformist group known as the Crimson Guard. In what could have resulted in years of bloodshed and misery has been replaced with mass celebrations in an event already being aptly named the "Glorious Revolution".

In an official speech today at the House of His Serene Lord Xavier XIV, Holy Emperor Augustus VII annouced "Today is a great day for the people of Golden Omega! We have heard your cries of unhappiness and your demands for change....The Holy Governing Body has hereby declared itself unfit for rule and thus given power to the Reformists, as known as the Crimson Guard".

It is yet to be seen what the Crimson Guard will do to reform a government strife with corruption and bigotry against other peoples and nations. Some say they will completely abolish mandatory religion while other believe they will do nothing to help this sin-laden country back to the path of righteousness. One bishop declared on the condition of anomnity "This action has only ruined what was once a great Empire. God has left our people and His presence has been replaced by the devil, who take the form of the sinister Crimson Guard! I hope that, through prayer, Holy Emperor Augustus VII will see the errors of his ways and declare a holy war against these evil people. Only then will we be ridden of sin!"

Crimson Guard representive would also like to announce the new official name of Golden Omega, which will be the "Holy Republic of Golden Omega." They also add that while the change may seem minisucle, it in fact embodies the direction of our Great and Most Blessed Nation.

It didnt seem like a bloodless and glorious revolution. The streets were choked with military vehicles and soldiers. Their defining mark was the bright red band around their arms, which signified a Crimson Guard soldier. They had already put the capital city under curfew for "security reasons." I knew the real reason though; it was so they could find and capture all the "undesirables". The ones that were deemed as "too difficult and troublesome to reconfigure". Whatever the hell that means.

How do I know this you ask? Simple, I am a Crimson Guard, and it is my duty to the State to cleanse these people from our upcoming society.

I lean against a stone chateau building and opened a pack of K cigarettes, the staple form of relaxation around these parts. I Watch a squad of four men walk out of the very building I'm leaning against, dragging out a mother holding two bawling kids. Christ, they look no older than 10. Poor bastards, they won't be alive by the end of the day. After them I see their father, or what is left of him. He's pretty shot up, his clean linen garments now dirtied in the stain of his own blood. He was once a high ranking bishop, but now deemed as unfit to reform to the new ways of our "great" people.

It is fortunate that no one else knows about these little incidents occuring across our pleasant little nation, lest the coup that our leader pulled off would fail. Bloodless, glorious revolution? My ass, this is about as violent as it gets without breaking into full fledged civil war. How he "convinced" the emperor, I'll never know, but whatever he did sure must've been damn messy.
