A controversial debate has begun in Parliament today over what to do with the provinces. Many of the nationalities that make up the Ottoman Empire are rebllious and dissenting. SUltan Mustafa III has proposeda bill to create a new provincial status. Provinces will be given the chance to gian commonwealth status in which the become a semi-autonomous state with their own Prime Minister but with Sultan Mustafa III and his heirs as their Monarch. It will allow the provinces to essentially govern themselves but still be part of the Ottoman Empire. Many of the representatives have voiced support for createing an Imperial Congress in which each province has its own seats according to population. Each province will elect their representatives and the representatives will intern elect the Prime Minister of the Empire. This bill has gained more weight then the one introduced by Sultan Mustafa III and is expected to be passed within the week.
