Panthean Military launch surprise attack on Israel

Operation Jericho Part 1
“blackouts and bombs”


At 3:00 am while many in the middle east were sound asleep the Panthean military lauched the first wave of attacks on the Palestine elements of Israel. Its goal to liberate the Jewish people from decades of oppression from imperialist was finally under way, despite harsh warnings from the Cottish government.

Just a few minutes before the three o’clock hour the electricity to the holy city of Jerusalem was cut. It is highly expected that the electricity may have been cut by Panthean secret agents. Fifteen minutes passed in dead silence as the entire city was devoured by darkness. Then all of sudden
the militia headquarters in the Palestine section of Jerusalem exploded in a loud furious fireball. A laser guided bomb from a Panthean SU-37 had hit its targeted. Though it hasn’t been confirmed it is rumored that the Israel sky is littered with at least 37 SU-37's along with at least 24 Mig-25's fighters as escorts

Similar explosions could be heard all around Israel. The targets included military airports, early warning radars, intelligence buildings, etc. The Panthean government has also made a statement that NO COTTISH FORCES were among those who were attacked by panthean bombers. Instead the targets mostly were the militia elements of the Palestinian nation. “As long as they stay out of our way in liberating the Jewish people. Then we will not engage Cottish forces.”

The recent bombings are to clear the way for Panthean ground troops who are heading to Israel coast. Transport ships, Battleships and destroyers are moving at full speed to the Israel coast

The Cottish Expeditionary Force, which consisted of VII Corps, were already in Israel, trying to kick out the Brydogians and Huahinians when the Pantheans attacked. Surely this could not be allowed to continue, so the local commander ordered his F-22Bs to move in and engage the enemy. Also, there were unconfirmed reports of Panthean missiles hitting the Cottish embassy in Jerusalem, inflicting casualties. If those reports were true, then Pantheaa had attacked sovereign Cottish soil, and the Cots were well justified in going to war!

The first flight of six F-22B Raptor air superiority fighters moved forward toward the Panthean air units in sight, which the large radar dome of the E-767 three hundred and seventy nautical miles behind the fighters identified as MiG-25 Foxbat fighters. They had a range of roughly 1 560 nautical miles, and were the counterpart of the F-15C Eagle fighter, a design that was in the process of being phased out from the Cottish Air Force. The F-22 was more advanced than the MiG-25, but that didn't mean that the Foxbat wasn't a threat. No siree, it was a damned dangerous threat. That was why the Cots locked on their brand new AIM-204B Dødsengel air to air missiles, which each of the fighters carried four of, on the Foxbats, one on each of the Foxbats, giving a total of 24 missiles aimed at the 32 Foxbats. The Cots didn't dispair though. Besides the Dødsengel missiles, the fighters also carried four AIM-120D AMRAAMs and two AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles each. More than enough to kill some Foxbats!

At the maximum range of 250 nautical miles, they fired the twenty-four Dødsengel missiles. The boosters ignited and sped the missiles up to its cruise speed of Mach 4.8, and they rose to 115,000 feet and sped towards the Foxbats. 170 nautical miles after they were fired, the boosters dropped off and the second stage lit up. When the missiles were five nautical miles from the targets, the missiles, all of them guided via data-link from the AWACS safely behind the lines started the terminal phase by diving on the enemy planes. The hit percentage was at a impressive 98 %, and the Foxbats didn't have much stealth, so there were good bets that the force would be decimated, if not defeated.

Television Transmission, going out to the world

The screen went from the seal of the Empire of Cotland to the Cottish Emperor, who sat in his office looking straight into the camera (or rather the teleprompter), with downtown Cotlandstad visible in the large mirror behind him. He was wearing a sky blue shirt and a blue tie under the navy-colored suit, and he had a grim facial expression. However, when he spoke, he was calm as ever.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, good evening.

Earlier today, Panthean armed forces attacked the city of Jerusalem in Israel. As we all know, in the recent weeks, Cotland has been busy attempting to aid the Israeli people after their government fell into anarchy. This has been attempted prevented by Huahinian, Brydogian and now, Panthean forces. With the aid of our Elephanti allies, we pushed out the Huahinians and Brydogians, and now we stand ready once again to push out infidel invaders from the Holy Land.

However, the situation has been complicated after the cowardly attack from the Panthean air force against the Cottish Embassy in Jerusalem. I am sorry to report that five Cottish citizens has been confirmed killed, with another twenty-seven wounded. Not only has the Pantheans killed Cottish citizens, but they have also attacked Cottish sovereign soil. This in itself is an act of war against the Empire of Cotland. Therefore, I have ordered our military assets in the area to initiate offensive military actions against the Panthean forces.

As we speak, Cottish forces are engaging Panthean military units attacking the Holy Land. I expect a swift and decisive campaign, one that is certain to crush the forces attacking the Holy Land. For now, there shall be no offensive actions taken against Orenburg Oblast, although the border defenses shall be placed on heightened alert. I encourage all citizens of Cotland to pray for our valiant troops and pray for a quick victory. Also, pray for the souls of the Panthean soldiers. Pray for mercy for them, for they shall recieve none from us.

The screen turned to the Cottish flag waiving in the wind while the national anthem streamed over the airwaves, then it returned to the normal broadcasts.

The Empire is deeply sadened by this deplorable attack on an ancient land. The Empire will not be party to this conflict, nor shall we be involved in this conflict. We do reserve the right to monitor the area and conflict as we see fit. Any aggressive acts against our reconnaissance and intelligence-gathering units will result in our retaliatory response.

Elsewhere

As the situation in Israel flared, the Imperial Layartebian Navy snuck in for their own peak. The submarine coming into the Med was a Seawolf Flight III. The submarine would be there to monitor the situation from over thirty miles from the coast. She was loaded with a multi-array of weaponry:

According to Cotland, Panthean fighter jets bomber the Cottish embassy....False. The Panthean jets only used laser guided and smart bombs in urban areas. Cotland has no prove to back up their false lie

According to Cotland, the Panthean military is seeking to commit genocide in particular areas of Israel.........False. The Panthean military does not wish to harm those who won’t fight including the Cottish military itself. Our goal is simply to build a Jewish state in their native soil.

According to Cotland, the Cottish government seeks to aid Israel after it fell into Anarchy....false. Cotlands long term goal is a puppet government that will serve the Cottish motherland, not the Israel people themselves

The question that the world should ask itself is why is Cotland holding on to Israel? Their can be no logical explanation other then that they plan to use Israel for imperialistic goals.

With lies like these, it will a matter of days before the Cottish forces flee Israel. They underestimate the

With the fall of the Cottish Empire. A new spark of hope for the Pantheans begin to shine through. The 2nd Atlantic Panthean Navy which was been sailing for a month now was now heading full steam to the Israel coast prepared to smash anything that came in there way.

It was 6 o’clock in the morning when the news that the Panthean Navy was going to reach the coast in the next few hours. A burst of cheers echoed through the various hallways of Panthean subs and ships. To the enemy it must of sound like all of hell’s fury was unleashed. To the Pantheans it sounded like a glorious hym,

The 23rd Panthean Rangers a light infantry and sniper unit would be the first to land on Israel soil. Followed by the 3rd Armor battalion and the 6th mounted infantry division. The three lead assault teams would then be followed by at least 3 more full battalion. Most of them consisted of green units and draftees.

It was a little bit more then an hour later when the crew of the 2nd Atlantic navy could hear the first sounds of Panthean Migs bombing the coast of Ashdod. From the city of Ashdod the liberation of Israel would begin.

Message to the Empire of Layartab

An awfully large Navy of Layartaban ships have been spotted near Israel by Panthean U2 spy jets. Let me first say that the Panthean government has no quarrel with you. But because of your sudden interest in the Israel territory we are breaking off some of the submarines from the 2nd Atlantic fleet to watch the presence of Layartab navy. Like I said before we have no quarrel with your government. Don’t take this as hostile actions

Besides, Layarteb only have a single submarine in the Med according to him, and its submerged. Therefore I find it highly unlikely that you've detected it.

HAHAHA!!! The Typhoon is noiser than a 18-wheeler moving at 2 knots than a Seawolf at 20 knots.

Elephanti forces had moved towards the coast already, pushing back the forces of Brydog and Huahin, now began to prepare for the assault of the Elephantis.

The Seawolf was in the Med, moving slowly, 7 knots, to the east. It's depth was still 800 feet and it was moving without any active sensors, making no noise as it moved through the waters. They had four Mark 55 ADCAP II torpedoes and four UGM-193B Relic missiles loaded internally, three UGM-180H Harpoon II missiles and three UGM-198C Stallion ASW missiles loaded externally and the vertical launch tubes were full of fourteen Tomahawk IIs and two Stallion LAMs.

The submarine was under strict orders not to engage any vessels, friendly or hostile, unless they were fired upon. In the act of being engaged, the submarine was to engage to defend itself with all necessary means.

The submarine was not far into the Med. It had only passed by Malta not long ago and as approaching Greece soon. It's on-station was more or less south of the island of Cyprus and north of Egypt.

ISRAEL TV

The Panthean government has ordered a full withdrawal from troops invading Israel. Foreign relations department chosen to give no answer for this sudden withdrawal. However they did hint that the oncoming stalemate between Cotland and the introduction of Elephanti forces may be one of the
reasons. “We looked over the situation and we determined that an assault on Israel would result in a long and uncertain war. No Panthean soldiers will die in vain for a foreign countries liberty.” said
a spokesperson for the military. This withdrawal of Panthean troops will bring about.........


BREAKING NEWS!

We have just heard reports of an explosion near the Western Waling wall and the dome of the Rock. It appears to be an explosion from a truck bomb parked near both sites. Both these Jewish and Muslim holy sites are on fire if not totally destroyed.. Witnesses on the scene reported hearing an explosion followed by another explosion 6 minutes later. Its not for certain what holy site was bombed first. But what is certain is that these terrorist attacks may of possibly been an attack by rogue elements of the Panthean military. Most likely from the Brotherhood of Nod, an atheist terrorist organization that claims allegiance to no man or god. On the Brotherhood’s website was a message saying that “religion is the opium of the world and it must be destroyed to free the enslaved minds of the world.” The brotherhood who dresses in civilain clothes and uses unorthodox tactics to wage war mostly likely snuck into Israel during the first few days when Cottish F-22's shot down several Panthean Migs. What is also interesting is that the brotherhood as a working relationship with Panthean President Ivan Kerensky, which gives the hint that Panthean's true purpose in the middle east was to rid it of both Jews and Arabs

Its is still unclear weather the Panthean terrorist will stay within Israel or withdrawl with the panthean military.

The news of the bombing stopped all actions in the Egyptian high command, and made the men look at the information available. They knew it was a pro-Panthean terrorist organization, and they knew that they were very intimate with the Panthean government. This made the Norwegians (formerly Cots) certain that Pantheaa was behind the attack, but they couldn't prove it just yet. Therefore the General in charge decided to do something unorthdox.

"Send in HJK."

HJK was the abbreviation for Hærens Jegerkommando, or the Armys Jeger Command if translated to English. This unit was a Special Operations force which was responsible for the majority of Norways concealed efforts. They cooperated a lot with FO/E, which was another abbreviation. This one stood for Forsvarets Etterretningstjeneste, or the Defense Force's Intelligence Service, and they were Norways primary intelligence service. Whereever Norway had embassies, consulates or military presence, you could bet that there were at least two officers from FO/E present. Right now, there were six officers in Jerusalem, and they would be joined by a eight-man team from HJK.

The team arrived in Jerusalem and were given quarters in the second basement of the Norwegian embassy there. The upper floors had been somewhat damaged by the Panthean bombings, but they were being repaired. Anyway, the basement was more than sufficient for the men, who used the time to look over their weaponry.

There were five AG4A1 assault carbines, three MP5A3 submachine guns, two MG49 "Minimi" light machine gun and a SG92 "Super Magnum" sniper rifle in addition to the five P17 and three P50 pistols and five AP72 LAWs, as well as the knifes each man had. The HJK team also brought along about twenty kilos of C4 explosives, plenty of G67, G68 and G69 grenades (fragmentation, flashbang and thermite, respectively) and even more ammo!

All weapons were found to be in perfect order, but they were cleaned nevertheless. Then the Jegers got some rest. Soon, it was time to go find some members of Brotherhood of Nod and make sure they wished they had never been born.

The news rooms in the Ministry of Intelligence were buzzing. Pantheaa was withdrawing from Israel. However, the onset of terrorist bombings against Holy Sites made it certainly a conundrum. The ILN still had its Seawolf Flight III class sitting in the Med, off the coast of Israel, monitoring the situation. They were intercepting tons of messages through SIGINT gathering. In addition, their ESM and passive detection systems were tracking the withdrawals. The buoy deployed was small and resembled a piece of floating trash more than an actual intelligence gathering item. Detecting it would require being very close to it.

Crowds of Jews, Muslims, and Christians filled not only streets in Israel, but also in Elephantum. Muslims in particular were agitated, still trying to recover from the destruction of Mecca. Nearly every city in Elephantum reported major protests. Many called for full scale war with Pantheaa. Unwilling to go that far, the Foriegn Relations Department issued a Flag Act against Pantheaa, banning Elephanti citizens from publicly displaying any symbolism related to Pantheaa, as well as incorporating an embargo, full travel ban, and end of any diplomatic connections. Several top officials spoke out against Pantheaa, calling the government, among other things, "criminals," "terorists," "racists," "guilty of crimes against society."

Historical repair and reconstruction teams, special archeologists who worked at sites in Elephantum (Persia, Mesopotamia, Arabia, India) were sent into Jerusalem to try and repair the damage. Military teams had to be called in to secure the area.

Official Government Announcement

The Greek Orthodox Church has urged to take matters in my own hands. Due to the recent events in Israel I am afraid that Greek-haters will find this the perfect opportunity to attack the Orthodox Church. This is why the Hellenic Army will send in armed forces into Jerusalem to secure the Greek Patriarchy and all of its land and property. 600 heavily armed Hoplites, 90 main battle tanks and a dozen of attack helicopters will be mobilized.

I request that no nation tries to stop Greek forces from entering Israel. Any attack on Greek forces or the Greek Orthodox Patriarchy will result in retaliation.

The Norwegian forces had consolidated their positions in Negev, and large bases had been established in Beersheba, Dimona, Mizpe Ramon and Elat, each housing a Infantry Brigade, a tank regiment and a artillery battalion each. Additionally, smaller bases had been estalished in Zefa', Zin, Yotvata and other small areas, each with a Infantry Battalion and attached tank and artillery units. There were also detachments of the Armys Air Corps in the areas.

All in all, seven infantry brigades, five tank regiments and three artillery brigades were in Negev, along with a hundred and fifty helicopters from the Air Corps.
