It was a calm day, in this reach of space. Nothing special here, just a single, outdated League Medical Frigate, sitting in the void. No system, just a tiny beacon, to draw the DREDS to the ship, as it was manned by a single AI, Hypothesis.

The frigate had three engines, a total of thirty-six cannons, and two missile launchers. It was an old, dipliadated craft, however, the inner armour had been refitted, as well as a brand-new shield generator.

The League was testing Hydrogen-Land DREDs, and they needed a target.

[ETA, 2 minutes. Prepare weaponry, prepare shields. FTL engines disabled, power put in weaponry]

It was a sad day for the old ship, one that had been through two wars, and was now to be destroyed by a simple weapons testing...

The DRED group warped in, it consisted of two DRED Carriers, both containing 25 Classic DREDs, and a side fleet of 100 DREDs, 50 of which being Classic and the other 50 Needle DREDs.

To begin, testing of the Carriers' shield breaking technology began. The First Carrier swept off towards the bow of the ship, it came in contact with the front-end shielding, and the effect was to be determined.

The pulse cannons swung around, as one, constantly firing again, and again, on the enemy DREDs. The more powerful, although less accurate, Blast cannons fired on the transports, as the ship began to use its sublight engines to maneuver away from incoming DREDs...

The carrier hit the shields, and they went down, in a tiny area, where they had come in contact with the carrier. The ship began to move away, and fired repeatedly at the carrier which was so close...

The Shield was down in a small area, and the DRED craft piled in, as soon as all were dispersed and attached to the Frigate, the Carrier itself exploded, as well as the other DREDs, the test of the other Carrier and E-DREDs began. The Carrier sped off towards the opposite side of the ship, and the E-DREDs, followed by a Large group of Classic DREDs, went to the starboard side of the frigate.

The craft took heavy damage on both weapons and shields, the explosions of the DREDs scarring the armour, and damaging the shields somewhat. However, not major internal damage had been taken, and so the ship continued to fire, targetting the enemy DRED by DRED...

The shield on the Carrier deflected the various blasts quite well, and the DREDs that rallied behind it were staying functional.

After the Carrier made it's way to the engine side of the ship, it folled procedure and detonated with the DREDs, the Classic DREDs following the E-DREDs detonated as the shields were torn away, then, to slice away the interior of the ships, the quick Needle DREDs dodged in, targeting the areas where shielding was still reforming.
