I've tried asking a few other people about this, but they were invariably at war... darned alliance networks...

Anyway, my idea is as follows: The Concordance receives a communication from a nation it's never heard of, perhaps asking what the international community thinks of its intelligence system, seeking allies etc... your choice really. It decides to play a little "game" with the other nation, sending one of its infamous "operatives" to that nation to discover all it can about the country. If the nation finds the operative, Czardas will think highly of its intelligence system and decides to ally itself, or whatever; if after four months he/she/it is still at large, Czardas will reveal the name of the operative, and consider relations unharmed.

Naturally, this would only work in times of peace, because Czardas isn't particularly likely to send one of its spies into the middle of raging combat.

Also, I'd prefer MT/PMT nations, although FT would be quite...interesting. ;)

If you're interested, post on this thread. I'm fairly sure it would be more character-based than nation-based, but even so it contains elements of both.

I'd be interested in this. (I know we haven't always got on, so feel free to tell me to stick it.) I can't get into much military stuff at the moment, as I still haven't completed my military designs, so something character-based would be much more amenable. It's also an interesting concept. Gruenberg is caught between its history as a regimented police state and the increasingly liberal aspirations of the latest Sultan, and so I'd like an RP in which I could chart the changing fortunes of my intelligence services. I'm MT.

If not, then I'll certainly watch this one from the sidelines with interest.

All right, then. OOC disagreements aside, I think a RP would be fine, as IC our nation would probably not know anything about yours. Also, you can't really be at war, as you explained earlier... and, as far as I know, you have no connections to any nations we're allied with (or allied against)—I haven't seen too many RPs by you anyhow. I think it would work.

I have a few embassies, and I'm a member of the Mutual Aid Pact. I think that's it, alliance-wise, and I certainly haven't been involved with many of the nations I've seen you RPing with recently.

Ok, it looks like we've got one person. I'll keep the thread up for a while to see if there's any interest from anyone else.

(If no one else responds, just two is fine... There's no set number I'd like to have. Anything between just the two of us and about 60 people—which is pushing it, but still.)

No, they'll only be infiltrating one nation. I will RP the operative itself after the initial nation contact. The other people can RP characters from either nation, or from their own if they want—perhaps their own ops in Gruenberg, or even in Czardas. It's really a very open type of thing here.

I couldn't post all too often, so I doubt that you'd remember, and it was in May anyway... But I thought you did a pretty good job. I liked that RP.

It was a long time ago, yes. The last post was made in June IIRC. And yes, there really was nothing we could have done to stop it. Later DP tried to start it again, but nobody besides me ever posted in it, and he never responded.

Anyway, this is a bit of a hijack...
