The Imperial Army would like to announce that it has successfully completed the reorganization of its order of battle. One million troops in 32 divisions have been added. There are now 32 field armies, up from twenty-four, and each field army will contain the following:
1 Airborne Division
1 Air Assault Division
1 Mech Infantry Division
1 Mountain Division
-----------------------
1 Armoured Division
1 Dragoon Division
1 Royal Guard Division
1 Shock Division
-----------------------
2 Sustainment Divisions
The divisions will be split into an infantry corps, a heavy armoured corps, and a sustainment corps. Plans for the future include expanding the Imperial Army to 140 field armies; which translates to 1,400 divisions, 4,480 manuever regiments, or 18,617,340 soldiers.

The Imperial Army would like to announce that following the reorganization it fully intends to expand the size of the Army to 1400 divisions. The expansion will begin immediately and take approximately 15-20 years, if current recruitment levels continue.

1,400 Divisions...I thought I was getting big with 200 of them...
Nonetheless, you do have a significantly larger budget than I do and stuck in Haven its probably a wise investment. I really should get around to signing a formal treaty with you or something.

[200 is a lot, but keep in mind that during WWII the US had 95 divisions, the Nazis (at their peak) 300, and the Soviets 400. That's with significantly lower populations and budgets than we have. Then again, until recent FY1945 had the biggest defense budget ever in the US (in FY2000 US dollars.)]

Both Third Reich's peak and SU Red Army in late 45' had significally smaller divisions that I persume you have. IRL, US divisions commonly have more than 20,000 men each while regular soviet rifle division had only 6,500 and German divisions, due the manpower loss and constant forming of new divisions almost as few.
Another thing, to field a division these days requires WAY more people in logistics than it did back then. Russians had, if I remember correctly, about 2,5 men in logistics for every frontline trooper, yankees somewhere near 8. Today, the number is, what, 50? Perhaps even more.
Things like these should always be kept in mind when comparing WW2 and modern days, not to mention NS MT-time.

[I'm aware of the manning requirements. My point was 200 divisions is big, but not unheard of. And I don't really care about US divisions, with only a couple exceptions my divisions don't get over 14,000 men.]

then your logistics are part of the manpower and represented in your forces? just a friendly inquiry.

[Of course. Leaving aside the fact that each of my divisions has its own support personel, there are also dedicated support divisions called "sustainment divisions".
Btw, please note that not all support elements are involved in logistics. Artillery is support, so is aviation.]
