Google Earth on sterroids ((ATTN: FT not mapped))

It seems that people have long-forgotten my mapping project which was a large success.

Now I want it to be even bigger.

Try two. I might actually get a different map and agree to territorial borders later on, but that's a different day.

Current map:

FTU: If you see this thread, I'd like that unaltered from your thread, I can use that for the next project, territory borders. Borders won't be as large, it has to be big enough to share everyone.

Rules:
1) You must be in the Milky Way
2) One spot only
3) You cannot claim Sol/Earth
Nistolonia
11-10-2005, 02:15
Do you think you can put Nistolonia on? (For when I'm playing FT). I'd be right above the M15 sign.

Hamanistan
11-10-2005, 02:21
Just forget Hamanistan...your good ol long time allie... :(

Can I be near that M75 star or whatever...
Otagia
11-10-2005, 02:25
Otagia is between Green Sun and Arizona Nova.

Khurgan is 8000 LY towards the Galactic Core from Sol.
Green Sun
11-10-2005, 02:26
Nope, you can't. This is for Milky Way only. I'll post the rules.
Hamanistan
11-10-2005, 02:30
Fine put me anywhere but isolate me as much as you can...
Rupil
11-10-2005, 02:30
Find a big blank spot and put Rupil near the edge of it.

Then, do you see that white dot under the "e" in "Tau Splinters" (Its about 1cm down)? Put Al-Imvadjah above and to the left of that, in that little cloud beneath the "in". Or if we're putting the name of the planet, not the nation, put Nonistan.

Ok, new home system, 5 planets, about 2,500,000,000 on each. Situated arround the star Hydrus, HD 19493/HIP 14180. It is a Class G3 IV.
Abs (app) mag = 3.72 (-28.29). It is 249.36 ly from sol.

In normal speek: That star/white dot just below and to the left of the sun's location that would be us..
Deatharon

Can I have a small five system area on the edge of the map. and just label it as Deatharon colonies?
SeaQuest
11-10-2005, 07:12
Can I have a place in the Galactic Core area for use for scientific colonies?

Three thousand light years North ((0 Degrees)) from the Galatic Core, and Two hundred Light years below the Galatic Rim.

In the past, I have RPed the White Diamond system as approximately 700 light years from Earth, near Gaian Ascendancy's territory.

Currently EWT controls only this system and a few islands on Earth left over from the MT era (I only became FT last spring and haven't RPed worth a damn since; my nation has essentially been frozen in NS time), but is in the process of repatriating its earthly citizens to White Diamond due to climate change. So you can ignore the Earth claim; I'll eventually abandon it anyway.

You could just put me at a point relatively close to where Earth would be.

One of these days, I'll start RPing again...haven't been in the mood...
Tidan
12-10-2005, 22:44
Tidan and Watatuneetsu share a planet 10,000 ly below and a little bit to the right of Tsaerin.

Just put me at the edge of wherever you want. My 'empire' roams around pretty much.
Green Sun

Something's different...No borders...

I can't map most of those claims. Only one system per persona dn it has to be the name of your nation. Please give me a GENERAL but accurate palcement of your nation.

If need be, you can put me beside M15.

I'll do a little creative work on a close-up of the core to show you my desired spot.
SeaQuest
13-10-2005, 00:17
Here you go. I put a red dot on the spot I would like. If you want, I'll put it in as close as possible to that spot on the full map so you can just draw a line to it.

Once I can't fit anymore, then the mapping project is done in my eyes. You can use it for RPing referances.

Eh, let me be more concise then. Put me 700 light years from Earth, in the general direction of "closer to the center of the galaxy."

Put me just south of T in Tidan.
Industrial Experiment
15-10-2005, 18:41
Hm, I'm on the exact opposite side of the galaxy from Sol moving through the central bulge (My home system being a mathematical anomaly that is alike to Earth and Sol in general in every way except for location), in other words just a little up and to the right of New Grunz.

We request place just near that 270 sign.
Largent
15-10-2005, 19:19
You can basically put me anywhere, just as close to the Sol as possible. I'm not going to be picky though.

((I wish to be on the outer rim near the 270-degree mark please.
I noticed that SeaQuest is pretty much in the center, where the largest concentration of stars, (similar in density to globule clusters) are... usually that is where the largest black hole forms. I was wondering if he had the technology to keep himself alive when most of the space in that region is either compressed to a singularity or in a plasma state?))

18-10-2005, 04:01
Hello.

Can you please place my colony, Ersatia, at a position that would be roughly 70°-80° on your map, towards the outer rim of the Milky Way (on the other side of the galaxy from the Sol System)? It's at a point halfway between Nistolnia and Edumea, on the spiral arm.

Similar to the way I have it in my nation's star chart: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a25/Dennis134/starmapNS.jpg

Thankyou.

Well, we're in the "west," around the middle way between the core and the edge, and slightly to the "north."

Could you put me down on Upsilon Andromedae? It's probably obscure enough not to be taken, but it might be a bit hard to actually put on the map, as it's only 44 Light Years from Sol.

If you tried to link to a picture or map, apparently you need to tinker with the image tags in your post, because it doesn't show up.

Ok... about 3-4 centimeters from SeaQuest to south-east.
