It had been many Tau'cyr since the last messenger puddle-jumper had arrived. Few alive were able to recall the Ethereal who had emerged, battered and broken, bringing news of the fall of the core of the Tau'va to forces unknown. Even the Aun'O had been born on this planet, far from his ancestral home. Resigned to their fate, the Tau of the Shas and Fio Castes had begun the conquest and colonization of their system. Along with their Kroot and Vespid allies, the seven planets in the system were all now inhabited, five by the Castes of the Tau: the worlds of Aun'ya, Shas'ya, Fio'Ya, Kor'ya, and Por'ya; one by the Kroot, the planet d'Pech; one by the Vespids, only refered to as the Hive.
Still, the Tau of this system hungered to know more of the galaxy, to bring the Tau'va to its peoples. And so for many Kai'rotaa the Fio had labored to build a great fleet to carry the Tau'va to the stars. To crew these vessels, a lucky few were blessed by the Aun'O himself, christened with his very blood. Oathbound, the bloodied ones, the Mon'tyr, departed from these worlds, accompanied by Kroot Spheres and Vespid hive ships. With a blast of energy, the fleet descended into the Vash'aun'an.
