Representative Jonathan Argus smiled as the delegate from Aequatio came off the private airplane. Torlanseff had finally gotten enough of an economic base thanks to its corporate government to gain international attention. Argus had seen to it that security seem especially tight for the international visitor.

Coming forward, but stopping short of the security officers, Argus held out his hand. "Greetings from Torlanseff. I am Representative Jonathan Argus. I'm afraid that one of the pages from the briefing documents was missing, so I did not see you name ahead of time."

The delegate nodded and shook Argus's hand. "Perfectly understandable. I am delegate-"

"Don't move!" One of the airplane technicians had come up under the mobile stairs, and was now pointing a stolen police handgun at the delegate's back. "In the name of Palixia, nobody moves."

Argus knew it was going to happen at some point. He had never heard of Palixia, but knew that the worker probably fit the profile. The security officers stood ready, knowing not to take any action to provoke the attacker. Breathing deep, he held his hands in the air.

"Easy, boy. What is it you want."

The man cocked his head to one side with a twitch before responding. Argus knew not to smile at the sign of his security's competence. They knew security was too tight for an escape plan, so they sent a lunatic to strike. "We want land. Aequatian territory."

The delegate sneered and turned to face his foe. "Now, you can't honestly expe-" The delegate suddenly stopped as the gunshot rang out. Clutching his side, he stumbled to the ground, giving the security guards all the shots they needed. One of Argus's guards was wounded before the attacker was down.

"This is Torlanseffi News Network Anchorman Robert Falorben coming to you live with a special report. The highly anticipated delegate from Aequatio is currently being hospitalized for a gun wound. The injury was inflicted by a militant Palixian who immigrated to Torlanseff a few months preceeding. The weapon was a police firearm that, according to registration, was stolen while the officer responsible for the weapon was making a ticket for running a stoplight. We have yet to receive an official response from either Aequatio or Palixia, but our government has affirmed that it will triple security in the hospital caring for the delegate. We go live outside the hospital with Field Correspondant Sharon McAnders. Sharon?"

On an MMORPG, two characters met in an area where players never went. The basement existed only for asthetic purposes, and the characters existed only to safely communicate between two agents.

"The message got through?"

"Palixia is set up for the fall."

"They will try to provide evidence he is not a former citizen."

"The documents have been readied. On paper, he was born and raised in Palixia in an orphanage run by a nationalist. It's the ideal cover, and the profile is ideal."

"What's the possibility of war?"

"That depends primarily on how diplomatic the Palixian government is. That is part of the reason they were picked."

"Excellent. Next contact will be in the market on server two in a week and an hour. I want full details, public and confidential."

"Consider it done."

Mr Spiff sat in his office staring at his Martini as if it was about to do somthing, he looked over to the door were an aide was looking on bemused, "Sir?" The aide asked, obviously inquiring as to Spiffs actions "oop, sorry, i'm a bit drunk." Spiff retorted, well it was honest at least, "what is it?" He asked, the aide was holding a brown folder which could only mean it was a foreign matter "sir, one of our allies, Palixia, citizens have been identified with the attempted assassination of a delegate from Aequatio, General Splam is asking for your orders." Spiff sat back in his chair and began contemplating, after ten minutes the aide asked again, "sir?" Spiff suddenly awoke and stared at the aide "okay, mobilise stuff!"

Supreme Commander Gregori McKenna was at his desk, dealing with important domestic issues when the call came in.

"Nicholie!" Gregori said into the phone.
"Gregori!" Nicholas Ferovora, Head of the Consortium(Red Tides Intelligence Agency/Federal Agency/Secret Police), said, "Did you hear the news?"
"No... what happened?"
"A Palixian Agent has just shot a Aquatian Diplomatic Envoy Delegate in Torlanseff! I wouldnt be surprised if some terrorists were involved in framing them, but this could lead to a war!"
Gregori shot up, "Thank you for that information, Nicholie. Farewell."
"Farewell Gregori..."

And the Supreme Commander of Red Tide hung up, he then made a call to the Tech-Com Corporation who began drafting a top secret message in preperation for sending to Palaxia.

The rain was hammering the windows of the Prime ministers office, he was just about to finish a proposition for next years tax-reforms.
Suddenly, he was interrupted by a knocking on his door.

Yes, who is int? the Prime Minister asked
"Sir, Head of Intelligense is here to see you" the guard answered

The intel chef entered the room

"Ahh, Admiral Royke, glad too meet you. So whats the matter?"

"Well, it seems that an ambassador from Aequatio has been shot during by a militant immigrant from Palixian, during a visit to Torlanseff."

Well, keep your eyes on this one, and let me know if the situation is escalating"

The intel head left the room

Palixian Prime Minister Robert Plant laid down for a quick snooze before Top Commander Syd Becker came in,

"Sir, we just recieved news from some nation called Torlanseff, apparently a citizen from the state of Cecil was over their and they attempted to assasinate a delegate or diplomat, don't know which, from another nation called Aequatio. He said he wanted Aequatian teritorry." said Becker

"I've never heard of Aequatio, why would we want their teritorry. Let me do a little background check on them, and the citizen.... oh, we don't know his name..., QUICK! To the newspaper... Ah... Crap, they don't know the name either..." sighed Plant.

"Well, sir, maybe we'll send a telegram over to Aequatio and Torlanseff"

"Alrighty..." as Plant went over to his computer.

From the Office of Robert Plant, Prime Minister of Palixia
Dear leaders of the government of Torlanseff and Aequatio,
As I have heard and most likely you have, a possible ex-citizen of Palixia attemtped to assasinate a Diplomat of Aequatio while in Torlanseff. I am not totally convinced that this was one of our citizens and from my checks, none of our citizens have ever filled ou a passport to go to Torlanseff. I do ask if I could have a name of the attempted assasin to further our investigation. My deepest regard to the delgate.
From,
Robert Plant

In a small cafe in Torlanseff, a middle aged couple were meeting on a blind date. The only distinctive similiarity was that they were both wearing the glasses that change between normal and sunglasses with the lighting.

"So, did you hear about the assassination attempt?" The man knew the basics of innuendo, and knew his 'date' was a natural. She'd pick up without trouble. "Oh, I heard that one of Paxinia's allies might be mobilizing. Seems rather funny, since neither of the involved nations have made official statements yet."

"It's not like what they're going to do isn't obvious, though. Aequatio will probably make some sort of threat or demand while Paxinia denounces the assassin." The woman nodded with a slight smirk. "With all the public attention from our media, it would be difficult for them to do anything behind the scenes without someone important getting suspicious."

"Speaking of suspicion, do you think there will be another attempt?" He had been waiting to work toward this point, but wasn't skilled enough to hide it in the conversation. "It's quite possible. I hear they'll be airlifting the delegate from the hospital by helicopter, though, so it would be difficult to find an opening. This is assuming, of course, the psycho wasn't working alone."

"I myself am relatively certain that he was." This got the woman's interest, so he kept talking. "Think about it. He was clearly unstable from the reports, and pulled the trigger at the slightest provocation going for the nearest target. For all we know, Representative Argus or the guard who got wounded could have been the actual target."

"An interesting theory. With so much attention on the Aequalian delegate, I doubt they'd be giving anyone else who was present too much attention. But that isn't important, now, is it?" The man meerly shook his head in reply, and they went about their meal without another word. Nobody would have guessed their true roles in society.

In Palixia there were riots happening all over the country, people were outraged to hear at the assasination attempt, some people thought it was all set up by Plant, and some people thought that the governments of Torlanseff and Aequatio set Palixia up. Prime Minister Plant thought it was a set-up because as he had found out, the militant was raised in a Nazi orphanage, he did some research and as it turns out there are no Nazi orphanages in Palixia, or there haven't been any since hte countries re-founding in April '05. He had an announment that was put on all 8056 Palixian TV channels and most radio stations that were in Palixia....

"My fellow citizens of Palixia, as most of you may have heard, a militant from our own country may have attemted to assasinate a delegate from the country of Aequatio while in Torlanseff. I would like to clear up any rumours that I did try to get the delegate murdered as an attempt to gain Aequatian teritorry. I would also like to clear up the fact that their are no-known Nazi orphanages in Palixia, thought if you do know of one of these orphanages, please send a stamped envelope to 104 Capitol Way, Clamptown,CT 21047, that is all"

Throughout the Republic there was a dual reaction to the incident of sorrow for the injured delegate and a demand for revenge against the attacker's home nation of Palixia, although some had also called for the blood of Torlanseff. Many felt that Palixia was to blame for letting the assassin escape from their country, but others blamed Torlanseff for not providing enough security for the diplomat and had also allowed the assassin into their country.

President Elsa Berger read the front page of the Magna Casa Tribune which was titled in bold red Blood for Blood - War with Palixia? and knew that she had no choice but to take some sort of action against the nation to simply calm the people enough. No one within the Republic stood for people harming any Aequatian, it just wasn't something that was supposed to happen. But what to do about Torlanseff, perhaps they didn't provide enough scurity and allowed this to happen? No, they were preparing to break into the international community and would do everything within their power to keep the delegate alive to broker the trade pact between the two countries. Economically, they could be hurt tenfold more by this incident than the Republic was, Aequatio didn't need this deal as much as they did.

"What to do?" she thought, "Address the people and put to bed their anger and hatred towards Torlanseff and turn it towards Palixia, channel the people's opinions and we could get away with anything." It was at that moment that she rose from her desk and exited her office to start the machine that wouldn't stop until only the people said so.

Within the hour, the president had given her address to the people and the Republic was geared for war, Palixia would pay dearly for spilling even an drop of Aequatian blood. As she met with the Joint Branch Chiefs, the nation's defence condition dropped to Level 2 and personnel from all branches moved for a war footing. This was going to be the big hurt.

Looking over the reports, Nikola smiled to himself after finding out that Torlanseff would apparently get out of this militarily unscathed. The call for blood from Aequatio's populace overwhelmed the facts from Palixia being disputed by his own government's data that it had received.

"Prince Nikola?"

The constitutional prince looked up with a smile. "It seems that at this point, all we need to do is keep the delegate safe from a future attack. I want four guards in his room at all times, thorough backround checks on all hospital personal who aren't working on the delegate's recovery,* and a decoy airlift removal once he recovers."

The aid nodded and left the room. Once he was certain that nobody was present, he touched his earpiece. "Did you get that? You have a plan then? I'll get you the numbers when I can."

"JUIK(WHAT)!" screamed Plant, "IN MAINEM DNES AS OTNIDRUM REPUS! ILI PMORT IN!(WE NEVER SENT THE ASSASSIN OVER! THEY TRICKED US!)"
"Jes Sir, Mi kredas ilin faris(Yessir, I believe they did)" said Becker

Plant was in a crisis, either he declare war on Aequatio and Torlanseff (or just one) or he lye vunurable to either one of the countries declaring war on Palixia... he did some math... He figured he could pull of about 6 million troops including Kevistis, Palixian Reform, Prok, Korp, and Spooty, if he participated, and Aequatio and Torlanseff could pull of 10 million troops, if it were just them, which he doubted... After about 8 hours he deicded what to do.

"They jump to war?" said President Berger as she read the first reports of the Palixian declaration, "Looks like we'll have to move things along a little quicker."

"Madam President, the nation of Torlanseff has a population of just over six million, they will require defence forces from our own nation to keep them safe from the military of Palixia," explained General Arnold Saltzman, "If we were to deploy an entire army group there along with air force assets and naval elements, it could act as enough of a deterrent for us to focus on a campaign against Palixia itself."

"All right, have it done," ordered Berger, "I want Reserve and National Guard regiments activated here at home as well, they will be required for home defence while our active units are overseas."

"I have already given the order for the muster of the regiments, our borders are safe," said Saltzman, "We need to focus on the security of our allies."

"Do whatever needs to be done, deploy the Aequatio-class warships if you need to," said the president sternly, "Anything to keep them from setting foot on our soil."

Almost shocked, Saltzman looked at the president, "Ma'am, the use of the Aequatio-class could escalate the situation into something that we don't want!"

"I don't care, we must prevent them from reaching our territory," said Berger, "At all costs."

"Yes Ma'am."

King Nicholas turned to his aid in suprise. "Are you trying to tell me that they're accusing us of taking military action against them? Hypocrasy!"

"Hypocrasy or not, they have declared war against us. We have received word, however, that Aequatio is willing to help defend us from the overwhelming opposition." The King nodded and phoned the Board. Torlanseff was a constitutional monarchy, but he still held a great deal of authority on the corporate board from raw respect. "I want the military to come to full alert. Militia ready in every town. We're landlocked, so any attacks would need to come by air or the river. Set up a bottleneck defense at the river against naval intrusion, then mobilize the air force. Expect aid from Aequatio, but don't depend on it. I doubt they'll send more than enough to supplement our forces against a moderate invasion."

"Sir, are we just going to sit and let them attack?" The King nodded in reply, looking out his window toward the capitol. "What else can we do? We're too small to go on the offensive. However, I want the facts to be presented into the international media that we took no military action against Palixia, and are victims of circumstance to false allegations."

(OOC: Torlanseff, you say that you're landlocked, who do you border that we need to convince airspacewise?)

"General Splam, the Zepplins are ready and filled with 50,000 men, we have Gyrocopters already on their way to find out what we can about the Torlanseff's military capabilities." General Splam turned to look at the Junior General, he smiled, the Junior reminded him of when he was just a low ranking Ringleader, when the Army numbered hundreds not thousands, "excellent work, inform me when we have permission to allow troops through bordering airspace, and keep the reservists on full alert."

OOC: There's a desert to the south that is neutral territory because, simply put, nobody lives there. Well, at least not on paper. There are a few criminal groups, but they don't give large groups such as military operations any trouble. That'd be the prefered route to take, and that area does have a coast. Essentially, air traffic attacking Torlanseff is open, but a naval strike is impossible without using weapons that wouldn't be worth the effort against such a small nation.

The lead of the three Gyrocopters looked out across the seemingly endless void of desert, the sun glinted off the red hull of his wingman, he nodded his head as if to give recognition to his friend, he got a faint nod back, the copters continued on their path to observe the Torlanseff, the lead pilot's Spootenstein headphones suddenly burst into action, it was his wingman, "Steve, we're now in Torlanseff territory, be ready for anything, especially AA."

"We aren't expecting Aequatian forces in this sector by air ever. Civilian reports say no go as well. Take them down. Use the 50 cal in case they're spotters."

The officer hung up the radio and signaled battle stations. The waypoint team scrambled to ready the four 50 cal turrets while the spare crews hit the bunkers in case of an attack. Golden daggers stabbed the sky as the turrets opened fire.

"Sir, Waystation Twentyone picked up some choppers coming toward their position. I gave them orders to swing out their 50 caliber turrets to turn them back." The agent nodded at the commander's report. "Very well. I assume that the battle is occuring as we speak?"

"They should have started firing less than a minute ago, if they keep up with the drill times." The agent nodded and reached for the button to hang up the speakerphone. "See to it that whatever survivors there are can be taken alive for negociated release. Palixia's hostility toward Torlanseff was not expected. We need as much damage control as possible." The agent hung up and turned toward his master. "Did you notice it?"

The agent's master nodded with a slight smirk. "He did not provide numbers. He either doesn't know, in which case he was incompetant. More likely, he does know, but wishes to keep us in the dark. In that case, he is treacherous. Have the key to his bunker misplaced." The agent nodded in compliance and turned to leave.

OOC: What kind of desert terrain is in the South of Torlanseff, something similar to the Arabian or Sahara Desert of Iraq/Kuwait or something similar to a rocky desert like the Southwest United States or the Libyan Desert? Just asking as a reference so I know what camo pattern to provide my troops.

IC:

The Army and Air Force bases around the Republic were filled with the bustle and rush of the quick deployment to Torlanseff, Operation Titan Shield would be the largest Aequatian deployment overseas in defence of another nation. Navy tankers would lay enroute to the small constitutional monarchy for the Airlift Command's C-5 Galaxy and C-17 Globemaster aircraft as well as the Air Force's F-40 Strike Fighters and the Army's AV-8D Harrier II aircraft.

This would also be one of the Republic's few deployments to a desert region and would be quite a change to the Aequatians who were well adjusted to the temperate climate of the Republic, many would have grown up in the subtropical conditions in the second continent, Aequatius Secundus. Not many were looking forward to being garrisoned to the desert, knowing full well the hazards of the environment would be just as lethal as combat.

Also, remember the raiders don't attack large groups. Light patrols for both sides can expect trouble. They tend to use horses/camels and hunting rifles.

IC:

Although it had only been a few week's time since the beginning of the deployment (NS Time), the Aequatian Airlift Fleet was large enough to deploy entire brigades daily and short of a few support elements, nearly all of the 3rd Army had arrived in Torlanseff and were preparing to mobilize to their positions in the Southern desert to take up the defence of the nation. All that Lieutenant-General Patrick Knight required was the positions in which to deploy his forces along and prepare for the fight.

After receiving word from Aequatio about deployment information, they received maps of frequent raider territories, level areas for camps, sky and ground territory covered by Torlanseff guns, and other such key information. The data was transmitted in four bursts of letters, with dashes filling the spaces, on four frequencies provided to Aequatio. The actual message, of course, was linguistically encoded in case all transmissions were intercepted.

OOC: For example.

General Marianna Polson was quite impressed with the Torlanseff organization in the deployment and quickly transmitted the information down to her force commanders and instructed them to begin setting up the Aequatian positions within the desert, by now the entire Army Group were in country and both the 3rd and 4th Armies took up their positions. Forward command posts, motor pools and hastily-built airstrips for Army AV-8D Harrier II aircraft and Air Force F-40 Black Mamba strike fighters dotted the Aequatian lines, soldiers on the ground helped the engineer units build the camps that would be their homes for the duration of the operation, it was the first time that they would be using the newly-developed Aequatian Arid Disruptive Pattern on their uniforms and vehicles. Incubus main battle tanks and Dragoon combat vehicles made up the majority of fighting vehicles among the fleets of trucks and lighter vehicles. MH-10 Raven helicopters ran regular recce runs throughout the desert, being the eyes for the commanders at the ground level while E-3 Sentry AWACS scanned the sky for enemy aircraft.

The Aequatians had drawn their own line in the sand and stood defiant, daring the Palixians to cross it.

(OOC: I feel quite guilty, i'm doing more work than Palixia in his own war RP, ah well)

Admiral Spimp ran onto the bridge of the SNS Bozo, the flagship had held up well for all the years it had been in the service of Spooty, it had seen a war, a riot and an evacuation, but this was the big test of Spooty Naval power, the steamer chugged towards the desert coastline, the mission was to secure the naval access to Torlanseff, hopefully this would cut it off from it's ally, Aequatio, Spimp crossed his fingers that there were no enemy awaiting his fleet, he was not sure his crew were fully ready for all out combat.

"Sir, we have trouble coming in on air patrol."

"Show me." Chief Executive Officer Arnold Mester looked at the report. Five ships. Four were combat, one was apparently a transport. It seemed they were looking for a beachhead. "Will the Aequatians arrive in time?"

"In the desert? Yes. On the coast? Uncertain."

"Do we have any mercenary contacts in the area?"

"Not enough to fight that force, even if they were loyal."

"What can we get there in time?"

"Pretty much anything that doesn't have feet."

"I want an artillary team for each ship, along with a troop transport. Have a pair of warthogs to escort them en route. Contact all mercenaries along the paths and have them meet them to bolster the escort and minimize incidents."

"Yes, sir."

Lieutenant Woods stood at the edge of their regiment's base camp and looked out across the desert plains that were tinted green with his night vision goggles as a group of Chenowith vehicles sped from the main gate out towards the horizon on patrol. He slung his carbine over his shoulder and turned back towards the officer's tent, "Bloody waste being here, we're never going to see any action from those Palixians."

(sorry guys... I havent been able to get to it...)

IN AEQUATIO

The Naval Ships of Palixia had finally reached across the ocean into Aequatio, when they were about 5 miles offshore they released their Airforce and deployed the infantry of Palixia, in about 3 minutes they were storming the shores of Aequatio, they tried to be kind to the natives living on the shore but rocks were thrown at them so they had to throw smoke bombs and get away, they found a good camping spot and would start combat at 3 o clock AM tomorrow....

IN TORLANSEFF

The Few amount of forces in Torlanseff traveled by small Palixian aircrafts over to Torlanseff and every 5 minutes boombed a city, or someplace that looked like a development.... Everyonce and a while something dhot back and 3 planes were shot dow, mostly this seemed like a calm area but it was only in the outskirts of the nation, they expected more action later on...

OOC: Palixia, you seem to be jumping the gun a little with your military movements. You can't simply arrive at my shores and land unchallenged, my satellites and radar (not to mention coastal patrol and naval vessels) would have detected your forces long before you were close enough to launch an amphibious assault. As well, could you post something along the lines of an order of battle, just so I know what to react with?

The Transport steamed over to the coastline, they had pushed the engine to near breaking point in order to make it in time, the 1,000 Ringleaders began to disembark, it was obvious that the enemy was going to begin to make use of it's artillery, it all semed as if they were trapped, if they attempted to cross the desert they would possibly die from heat exaution, if they stood and fought the Artillery they would die, Splam however knew that the best idea would be for his men to march across the unamed desert towrds the enemy artillery, he quickly ordered the standing fleet raise anchor and keep at least 15 miles from the coast, from here on this was going to be a job for the Spootian Zepplins, all 250 of them.

Back home the last of the standing army got ready for combat, Rifles were slung and ammunition prepped, this was going to be the biggest war of Spootys long history, bigger than even the Ninja Strike Team War of independance.

The artillary convoy had arrived with little trouble. Although they had suffered minor casualties from hostile bandits, triple the loses replaced them as bandits decided to take on a mercenary role.

"Sir, the enemy has already deployed their men. Approximately one thousand."

"Set up the artillary, have them blanket the enemy position. The mercenaries will use hit and run once the enemy is disorganized. When will the air support arrive?"

"Ten minutes, sir."

"Excellent. Set up spotters on the rocky terrain to sight for incoming vehicles. Hopefully they didn't bring any planes yet."

In less than a minute's time, the target zone had been selected, and the shells were in the air, staggering fire to keep up a constant assault. The mercenaries were waiting patiently behind dunes and the two crags nearby for the opportunity to strike.

OOC: Spotters are specialists who's rifles (semi automatic, 9mm, zoom) have been equipped with Laser Target Designation Systems in place of the zoom, plus a laser guide to key home to artillary. This allows the artillary to have excellent accuracy, using the spotters as points of reference to take out slow moving targets, such as landing troop transports.

Sorry about my exteneded MIA...

IC: In the Bay of Palixia...
The Palixian Navy was lying about 1000 miles off of the shores of Aequatio, they had decided they would stop their and send 20 stealth fighters over to Torlanseff for a minor air raid, about one day later they recieved reports fo having 5 bombers shot down and are Missing in Action, the ships moved forward... If they saw any Aeguatian or Torlanseffian military ships they would fire... For now they slowly moved towards Aequatio....

Spootopolis Eccentric Billionarres Society

"Well I say!" Blared Mr McSpiff, a distant cousin of the current leader, "why have the Crazy Monkey not yet been mobilised!" It was as if he wanted the whole room to hear him speak "Now see if i were my cousin, I would have already sent in the whole army!" Of course this wasn't true but the crowd seemed to agree.

Top Secret Research Bunker, Former NST Lands

Five men walked slowly out of the bunker, they had in their hands each a cup of Tea, they wore almost the same apparel to that of the Eccentric billionarres, a Top Hat shined to perfection reflected every beam of sunlight, they stopped when they reached another man dressed the same "Well I say lads, we could have dressed a bit smarter, there is a war on don't you know!" The officer spoke in perfectly pronounced English "Well if we're all ready the Plane does await us!" The plane was a brilliantly white shade of white, it was a rarety amongst the Spooty air force in the way that it had jets, it was the first Spooty Jet Plane, it was destined to carry the Elite Crazy Monkey into Torlanseff, this was their first war experience aswell, but these people had had the full military training.

Torlanseff Deserts

The Vechiles had not yet arrived so the small army was split into squads of five and asked to slowly make their way up the desert, this way it was hoped that the artillery would not work to full capability.

The 15th and 16th divisions placed in Torlanseff were looking for any Spoot's, so far they were unsucessful... IC:

- 3rd Army Headquarters, Torlanseff Southern Deserts

Lieutenant-General Patrick Knight had recieved his orders from CENTCOM back home in Aequatio from General Polson, "...contact with enemy and eliminate threat." was all he needed to read before making his decision. The advance elements of X Corps would mobilize forward into the desert once Air Force E-8 J-STARS surveillance aircraft had discovered the positions of the Palixian 15th and 16th Divisions (OOC: Meant to ask, what kind of divisions are these and could I see an order of battle?). As well, not to leave the line understrength, he would move elements from XXII Corps forward from their reserve positions to fill the line in the other divisions' absence.

He immediately had the message relayed down to his divisional commanders, "Prepare 48th and 49th Infantry Divisions (Mechanized) for mobilization towards Palixian forces with 50th Armoured Division leading as spearhead. XXII Corps units 96th and 97th Infantry Divisions (Light) and the 98th Infantry Division (Mechanized) will take up positions with remaining X Corps units while 99th Infantry Divisions (Mechanized) and 100th Armoured Division elements take part in offensive operations."

- X Corps Defensive Positions, Torlanseff Southern Deserts

The climate hadn't been as rough on the vehicles as once thought and they were all ready to move once the orders came through. Combat vehicles of all kinds were prepared for the advance, named Operation Titan Wing/Hammer, including the Incubus main battle tanks which had proved themselves already on the range along with the Improved Spartan infantry vehicles and Flail self-propelled guns which were in their initial positions and ready to provide fire support to the coming mission.

Twelve kilometres above the combat zone cruised the Air Force E-8 J-STARS aircraft which were chosen to find the lead elements of the Palixian divisions and pinpoint their positions so that the Air Force F-40 Fighters could launch strikes against them as part of Operation Titan Wing before the ground forces rolled forward from their former defensive positions and advance on the enemy's location as part of Operation Titan Hammer. Prepared to support the comming offensive were the Army's AV-8D Harrier II close air support aircraft and AH-7 Kestrel attack helicopters which would act as forward artillery for units which outstretched their own field units.

The Aequatians could feel the coming release of several weeks' worth of frustration in this operation and were fully prepared for a fight.

- Aequatian Phase Line 15 South, Torlanseff Southern Deserts

The lead tanks and combat vehicles of the 50th Armoured Division came to a halt as they awaited for their next coordinates. The E-8 J-STARS had spotted the location of what was believed to be the Palixian 15th Division and commanders were now planning their assault. The count didn't look to good, with nearly 586,666 personnel in the Palixian 15th Division compared to the collective total of 276,362 soldiers in the four mechanized infantry and two armoured divisions. This would rely heavily on Aequatian air power to enter into the fight and attempt to eliminate much of the strength of the Palixian troops before rolling in on them with ground forces.

- 3rd Army Aviation Brigade Headquarters, Torlanseff Southern Deserts

The makeshift airfields constructed by the field engineers and Air Force personnel were being prepared for the first combat sorties in Torlanseff by Aequatian aircraft. Army AV-8D Harrier II close air support aircraft and AH-7 Kestrel attack helicopters had already taken off and moved ahead to strike air defence assets including SAM sites, anti-aircraft artillery mounts and radar stations.

High above, F-40 Black Mamba strike fighters carried heavy payloads of munitions which they would unleash on the Palixian units and structures. CBU-87 Cluster Bombs would be dropped on troop positions while GBU-24 and GBU-32 JDAM GPS-guided bombs would strike vehicle positions and structures such as barracks, communication and radar stations and forward command posts.
