Six Hundred Years Ago, Mapalgetia, Iron Kingdoms

Mapalgetia, the last of the original five. Located on the rim of the system it stood as the last symbol of hope for the two remaining peoples. The final three had been there for almost three thousand years and none wanted to see the Kingdoms fall yet, they all knew what their fate would be. Mapalgetia had been tossed into a violent rebellion and it soon dissolved into outright genocide. It was no secret, everyone knew it and they could do nothing but sit and watch as the blue planet turned into the red planet, stained with blood.

Largentian and Menothi governments had met and argued to an unimaginable extent deciding whether or not to intervine. It was a bitter argument and not even delegates from the same nation could agree with each other. In the end, they could come to no decision and simply decided it best not to get involved.

It was nearly three years of horrible wars before the government collapsed and starvation gripped the land. There were no means of escape and no hope. In the end, the Mapalgetians had sealed their own fate. They were sure to die off soon enough, neither Largent nor Menoth would interfere and simple prolong the peoples suffering. No, they would be left for dead.

It was only another decade before it seemed that the system was no longer worth staying in and the Menothi government packed up and simply left. The Largentians moved their capital to earth but a few people stayed, refusing to leave their homeland.

Present Day, Earth

Lady Elwing Oronra recieved yet another transmission reporting the situation on Largent, the original planet. The situation was described as 'Stable'. The situation hadn't changed in nearly two hundred years, Oronra's approximate age. If it were up to here the planet would be abandoned but it wasn't up to her.

Several hours later at a meeting of the High Council the subject of the planet was brought up since everyone had recieved the news. A noble of Orothra suggested that the system be reopened and other nations be allowed in.

A second noble vehemently refused the idea saying that the planets were sacred ground where many ancestors had fought and died and no foreigner should be allowed to tread.

The first man countered this by saying that only two planets were declared sacred ground to Largent, and all other governments, save Menoth, were gone along with their people and should be opened.

The argument continued this way for nearly twenty minutes and Oronra half listed pondering the situation half-heartedly. It seemed an unimportant idea but in the end she made a decision. "Silence." The two men ceased immediately. "Only Largentian planets have been declared sacred ground, the others shall be reopened." One man was about to speak up but she cut him off before he made a grave mistake, "However, I will require all colonization requests go through me. Believe me, only the best candidates will be allowed into our sacred region."

After she signaled the meeting closed and all fifty men in the room bowed and left leaving her alone wondering why anyone cared so much. The land could hardly be considered sacred but, then again, old traditions die hard.

ooc: Basically, me and some old friends inhabited the system of eleven planets. They all got deleted and I'm opening the 9 uninhabited planets for colonization. Just post a request if you wish to colonize the planets.
