OOC:

Alright folks, this is basically a Training thread for Character Sparing. Now, I'll try to make it as acceptable as possible for II. However, I cannot assure you that most of this will NOT be RP. Forgive me if its not, but I do want to help a friend out in his knowledge of Role Playing.

So, Helghan, this is basically a Spar between one of my Main Characters and whatever Character you like. I have chosen my Foreign Minister/Chief, Caster Oblivion. He's Human, 5'9 to Six feet or so and about 175 pounds.

Let's play it fun and safe and start with swords. If this is something you haven't RP'ed before, then by all means we'll use a different weapon. The reason I choose swords, basically, is because it allows the Role Player to express the basic stances and battle moves with as much detail as said person wants.

You can do a two-liner post (two sentences), though looked down upon, and still have a good sword attack or defense. It goes both ways.

Now, let me know if you have any questions, or want anything made different. For the benefit of this Refreshment course, I'll refrain from posting ICly to allow you to talk, Helghan.

EDIT:

Whenever your ready, Helghan, We'll start. Just TG me. I'm getting off for a bit.

OOC:

Yes, they count.

Sorry for not replying, been working on the yard.

OOC: OK, then I will use Combat Knives. More specifically, the standard Helghan Hunting Knife.

OOC:

Caster Oblivion will be using a shortsword, just to make things interesting. Shall we begin?

IC:

The rays of the sun were blocked from view by the clouds overhead, a slight drizzle of rain, almost mist-like, came down from the heavens. The grass beneath was wet from the many hours of this rain mist, and a slight breeze added to the chill of the surroundings.

Caster Oblivion stood a few feet from a near-by tree, a large area of open grass was before him. The forest behind was large, one that had never been touched by man. However, man was here, and no animals made sounds as Caster clutched his shethed shortsword, almost wanting to draw it out.

OOC:

Begin from here.
The Helghan Empire
11-10-2005, 20:44
Gregor Hahka stood behind a thick tree, concealed from Oblivion. However, he does not know if he can see him at all. He was hoping to take him by surprise - giving himself the upper hand. The rain got worse.
Hhka sees Caster Oblivion clutch a sword, he could make it out as a shortsword. He spat quietly, and pulled his Helghan Hunting Knife out slowly. With the intense training recieved with a blade, he could be able to fight a sword with a knife fairly. He waited...

11-10-2005, 20:57
Caster Oblivion slowly walked into the clearing. The mist seemed to be disturbed, its rate of fall seemed to be...odd. Caster became worried, and gripped his sword tighter. Was someone there? What was this? Who was doing this?!.

Suddenly, seeing himself in the middle of the clearing, he started to feel Droplets of rain patter against his face, sliding down like tears as he slowly gazed upward at the sky. A deep sigh of relief, his stance having no defensive or offensive manner as he lstarted to laugh. He had been worried about nothing!

Oh how the rain felt, so relaxing and cooling. He had been walking for many hours now, and the cool water droplets were a welcome feeling against his sweat-dried skin. Another deep sigh, closing his eyes. It was just a clearing, just raining. No one was here....and the rain made it even better.

OOC: sorry, haven't posted for awhile because of school

IC:
Hahka followed quietly Caster Oblivion from behind trees. He noticed that he doesn't suspect a thing because of how the way he laughed and his enjoyment of the rain.
He moved faster towards him, letting the rain cover up his noise. He doesn't know what would cover up his appearence...
Hahka kept his knife at grip and got closer to Oblivion in range and decided it was best to sneak behind him. He did so, but moved slowly and quietly.
This assassination attempt* will be successful. Gregor moved his knife closer to his breast, raised it near Oblivion's back and made a quick dive with the blade...

*: Not really an assassination attempt, just to help with the RP-training experience, as if we were actually RPing.

OOC:

No problem at all, and I understand the move

IC:

Caster had noticed movement, but he showed no signs of such. His eyes were closed, trying to seem as if he didn't suspect a thing as he listened...as he could hear the movement of this strange being. The rain battered on something solid near him, beneath him...something...

Quickly Caster's hand went up and grabbed, the free arm moving back to grab the chest of the individual. He knelt and quickly lunged the possible assasin forward, drawing his shortsword and stancing properly.

"Who are you, what do you want?"
The Helghan Empire
13-10-2005, 23:02
Hahka wiped his lips with the back of his right hand. He answered Oblivion's question: "My superiors have placed a bounty upon your head. I'm no bounty hunter, just a Colonel in the military, but they have sent me to do their dirty work." Gregor lifted his blade, "Now would you bother surrendering or do I have to come over to you and swipe your head and display it as a trophy?" He knew Caster will not go down without a fight.
He waited for an answer.
Anagonia
14-10-2005, 12:17
Caster positioned his sword sideways across his chest, going into a defensive posture as his back foot firmed itself for bracing. He grinned, he was going to enjoy this battle. It had been a long time since something of this magnitude had occured, although he did wonder why a bounty was on his head. A slight chuckled, and he lifted his free hand, doing a "bring it" motion.

"I believe you have a fight on your hands..."
The Helghan Empire
14-10-2005, 20:46
"I believe so," Hahka replied.
He positioned his knife sideways near his face, and dashed forward. Hahka made a blow to Caster's stomach with the Hunting Knife.
Anagonia
14-10-2005, 23:14
Caster arhced backward, twisting to the side in a jump, nearly dodging the knife but with a deep scratch across his stomic. He gasped, he was too slow. Luckily, it wasn't too severe. In response, as the milliseconds went by and he finally landed near his opponent, he raised His shortsword, and slashed downward towards his neck...
The Helghan Empire
15-10-2005, 14:18
Hahka ducked and rolled to his right, nearly evading his throat being slashed. He was at least glad that he made blow with his knife towards Caster's stomach.
Yet it wasn't fatal (wich dissapointed him).
As he jumped up, he slowly walked backwards, keeping eye towards his enemy. Then he stopped, and went into defensive stance. Hahka wan't to keep his guard up more higher so he doesn't come across another blow that could easily kill him.
Anagonia
15-10-2005, 20:56
Caster grinned, the rain fell harder around them now. The mud beneath their feet bearely supported their stances, but it would be enough. Slowly, as his eye kept close watch on his enemy, he started to creep closer.

"You know, I never did ask for your name..."

His shortsword was positioned, ready for an attack. By the look of his feet, the experienced would conclude that he could possible be up for a high kick...
The Helghan Empire
18-10-2005, 01:44
"Actually you did ask for my name, when I first attacked you, you said 'who are you, what do you want?' Pathetic! At least I am able to remember what I say!" He taunted. He did not change position, he waited for Oblivion to make his move...
Anagonia
18-10-2005, 03:21
"Well, you know, you only said your regiment, from what I remember."

Caster slowly went forward, then leaped, doing a sideways twist as he swung his longsword down a bit. He didn't intend to be close to his target, just to get him startled, and attack prematurely...
The Helghan Empire
22-10-2005, 03:53
OOC: Actually, I said only my regiment in my character description.

Hahka examined the moves made by Caster Oblivion. He thought he was trying to trick him into doing something - but he also thought different. He did not know what he was planning to do to him so Hahka backed away slowly and stopped after six steps.
Anagonia
31-10-2005, 05:17
OOC:

Lol, sorry. Man, when was the last time I posted? Eesh...

IC:

Caster grined, Hahka didn't fall for it. That would seem bad, sure. But in this situation it ment it could possibly be easier to trick him in his attacks. However, Caster nodded to himself and started forward again.

"Well, your smart. Com'on, I don't have all day."
The Helghan Empire
31-10-2005, 22:06
Gregor watched as Caster moved forward. He did the same, yet quickly and thrust his blade towards the stomach of his enemy.
Anagonia
31-10-2005, 22:18
Caster tried to dodge, but was immedietly slashed in the stomic. He had avoided the main blow, but blood still seeped out of the wound. With a slight yelp of pain, he jumped back, then went forward to swing his shortsword.
The Helghan Empire
03-11-2005, 01:59
Hahka realised the anger Caster was in. He was joyful in making a successful attack. He rolled out of the way, during Caster's attack of retribution, stood up and stepped back out of the shortsword's range.
Anagonia
03-11-2005, 04:41
Caster held his stomic and his expression darkened. It hurt, badly. And his movements were slowing. Not good. He gazed at his oppenent and gave a smile.

"Seems like you got me where it hurts. Care to try to finish me?"

Blood started to ooze from his mouth, and he coughed, hard.
The Helghan Empire
03-11-2005, 22:36
Hahka watched as the blood gushed from the wound. This was his chance. He went into an offensive - yet defensive - stance, and charged towards Caster with knife in front. As he reached him, he made a final attack to the wounded man's heart.
Anagonia
03-11-2005, 23:35
With the last burst of speed, Caster grasp his sword firmly, and thrusted it towards Hahka. This was perhaps his last chance,. his last throw. He couldn't dodge the others attack, there was no time. It was either here or now. If he missed, he would most certianly die.
The Helghan Empire
04-11-2005, 01:53
Hahka's eyes widened as best they could. He was expecting Caster to miss this, if he put up a last defence. Before Gregor could do anything about it is, he was stabbed until the blade came through the back of him. He was skewered by Oblivion. Gregor Hahka dropped his Hunting Knife. He looked into Caster's eyes, bleeding from the wound, and drops of blood spouting out his mouth, he fell, as a defeated assassin, yet, before he drew his last breath, he wished that the wounds inflicted on Caster Oblivion would kill him quickly. The rain poured even worse on his body. He died shortly.
Anagonia
04-11-2005, 05:04
Caster Oblivion saw it all, saw his blade kill the warrior. Saw everything. Yet as the rain beat harder on him, he started to walk away. His knee's became weak, and he stumbled to them. A gasp as he looekd down, he was bleeding excessively now. He sighed, and coughed up blood, a large amount of it to be exact.

He was dying a Warriors death, that was all that mattered. And with a last breath, he fell to the ground, lifeless.

OOC:

Hmmm..Perhaps some vehicle or Weapons combat. Aircraft or the like. Up to you.

OOC: Let's try some vehicle combat, you may choose what vehicles to use.

Perhaps some fighter jets?
The Helghan Empire
05-11-2005, 21:55
OOC: Fighter Jets I do not have. But I have Jet Bikes, it sounds like motorcycles, but they are Helghast aircraft. You may use your fighter jets, I will use my Jet Bikes.

I'll use my nations fighter called the XF-200 Super Starfighter.
http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=Military&action=display&thread=1103679221

Alrighty, and no I won't allow uber tech into this one. It goes as fast as a...f-15 I think.

IC:

Through the skies a defining humming roar could be heard, the sound of a Hydrogen Jet Engine at full blast. It zoomed over the tops of trees, they bending forward as the air blasted past them. It was a joy ride, apparently, no cause or reason for it. The pilot obviously ignoring that he was far from his air space.

Jason Knox felt secure in the XF-200 Super Starfighters cockpit, it wasn't the most high tech but it had its advanteges. Mainly ment for space combat, it could be used for air-based manuvers whenever needed. Anagonians hadn't really been up-to-date with the XF-200 Series, having only made this one and mainly replacing its Starfighting duties with the Hammerhead.

But that beside, it made for an excellent fighter. It wasn't the best, nor was it the worst. It made for excellent recon, and even better dogfights. It had its weaknesses, which were undoubtably becoming known because of the constant push of the engines. Surely there was nothing around here to test its abilities, Jason would definitley enjoy that.
The Helghan Empire

OOC:

Alright, post up your entrace, of either seeing me or whatever. Take it from there.
The Helghan Empire
15-11-2005, 02:45
An F-16 Fighting Falcon patrolled the skies of the occupied territory and it's surrounding environoment. It was one of many patrols. Helghast flying ace, Lieutinant Loridd Imerion patrolled quietly - he is always like that when he doesn't participate in battles, and he has seen any for two months.
He flew across a farm and even father across a forest. He strayed from AO by a little, but no one from the Air Base seemed to complain in his radio.
He looked around in his cockpit and then looked down at his radar. A yellow dot was at the farthest right of the radar. He was willing to check it out...
Anagonia
16-11-2005, 13:32
Jason Knox had observed a blip on his radar after the computer made a low, constant beep to alert him. Something had come into his sensoral view, he had checked through the canopy to see if he could see anything, but that turned out to be negative. He could have sworn to see it on radar as coming towards him. If that was true, he was screwed.

He sighed inside his face mask, this was complicated. Perhaps he should just play it safe and try to get contact.

This is Anagonian Fighter 232. I have you on my radar, please identify yourself.

He talked as if he owned the place, which was bad if that person did own the place. Oh boy, this was going to be interesting. He slowed his aircrafts speed a bit, just to maintain a proper stance.
The Helghan Empire
16-11-2005, 21:45
This is Helghast F-16 Fighting Falcon 128. I have you on radar as well. I identify you as non-Helghast fighter. You are in restricted airspace, please leave immediatley or I will be forced to attack. You have your options.
Anagonia
16-11-2005, 22:23
Jason set his arming system online, and quickly prepped his guns. He had only two sidewinders, standard, and the guy was within range. But, this was a joy ride, nothing more, and it would take some skill to master.

This territory is not a part of any Nation, you are making false claims. Retreat your stance, or I will be forced to attack.
The Helghan Empire
16-11-2005, 23:16
Lorrid tightened his grip onto the control stick. He was getting impatient. He's wrong, this territory is ours. And if it wasn't our territory, he shouldn't be here either. He thought.

I am not making false claims! What are you doing here anyways An-agonian Fighter?
Anagonia
16-11-2005, 23:20
Jason grinned, he knew he was getting to him. This wouldn't take long.

I'm here because I can be here. Got a problem with it, get away from me.
The Helghan Empire
16-11-2005, 23:26
I'm here because on patrol. Sweeping out people like you! Get out or got to hell!

Lorrin did not want the Anagonian to make the first move. There was a majority that there will be a dogfight soon. Keeping his grip on the control stick, he pulled the trigger on the stick. The far right missile on his right wing ignited and viciously aimed straight for the Anagonian fighter.
Anagonia
09-12-2005, 15:11
Jason moved his flight stick to the right, and pushed his engines to the max as he went high, igniting his afterburners and deploying Microwave counter-measures. He cursed himself for taunting the Helghan craft, and immedietly attempted a tricky manuver to escape the missiles wrath....

Pushing the flighjt stick up completely the Super Starfighter aimed towards the ground in a nose dive, engines thrusted to the max as he attempted to find somewhere to fly by.

(Ack, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I know you got angry at me. Very sorry man.)
The Helghan Empire
09-12-2005, 15:36
OOC: It's Ok. I forgive ya.

IC:
The missile missed the enemy fighter, so Lorrin was enraged. He becomes enraged easily. If he becomes more enraged, he goes beserk. But he wouldn't dare get close to the enemy because of his craft's absence of machine guns.
Lorrin watched the fighter's movements while still controlling his. Lorrin saw the Anagonian make a move toward the ground. He made a nose dive too to carefully aim his missiles.
The Lieutinant immediatley fired another missiled on his right wing.
Anagonia
09-12-2005, 15:40
"Shit! Shit! Shit!"

Jason pulled the stick back and ignited the emergency thrusters normally used for space flight, slowing the thrust as his aircraft went almost to normal axis, and pressing his thrust hard forward and engaging another wave of microwave counter-measures. This time, if the missle missed, he would turn his craft around and fight back.

EDIT:

OOC: Thanks
The Helghan Empire
09-12-2005, 15:53
The Helghast pilot grinned - even if the missile missed. He didn't want the missile to hit him all, only to get the Anagonian's attention. Now he started his real tactic.
He pulled the joystick back and he went passed the Anagonian fighter. When he went a little further away from the enemy, he turned around. He pushed the joystick away so he can level with the other aircraft.

You shall pay for this waste of time!
Anagonia
12-01-2006, 18:03
OOC:

Holy moly...this is an old one....

IC:

Jason knew what to do, he observed the motion on his sensor screen and immedietly thrusted his craft upwards, and did a lopp, turning his craft around in a 180 degree manuver in which his fighter would loose altitude quickly for a second, then regain it and thrust towards the Helghan craft.
