Half a dozen ships of unknown design floated near the edge of a long-untamed region of space. The nebula stretched across several systems, for a sun went supernova several millennia ago and left a rich gas-mining sector of space in its wake. This came as great luck to the people of Draconic Order, as this nebula barely stretched to the borders of Dominion territory. A piece of this nebula had broken off centuries ago to form what the Dominion titled the Isha's Eye Nebula. Once the small system-spanning nation found that there was more material rich nebula, for denser compounds floated like debris throughout the region due to fusions from when the star exploded, they set upon it like hungry locusts. A small fleet patrolled the area where a space station was built, as each day a miner ship came back with a loaded cargo for processing.

((That's the thing though... this is just another day in the life of Draconic Order. But I thought I would allow reactions, since there have been times my nation has appeared for some reason or another in most basic threads like these, and I think everyone should have an equal opportunity if they choose to. If no one does anything, I can just post it up in my info thread just like normal.))

Time was almost up on the third rotation when a distress call was beaconed off the buoys floating around the designated mining zone for that rotation. One of the Arcaniss Class Miners hit a dense pocket and was critically damaged by the resulting explosion. A Caex Class Mk1 Frigate was dispatched to secure the crew and hopefully tow the damaged ship back to dock. It would take almost an hour for them to reach the stranded ship.

The frigate came into visual range of the mining vessel as it pulled up along side. The ship was a mess; pieces of the hull had been seared off and were floating around the gutted bulk. The containment core was shattered in several places, leaking unrefined material back to the ether it came from. Communications were still up and the mining ship sent a status report to the frigate, life support was intact and stable, most of the ship was holding together through some hasty repairs and it was safe for a tow back. With that information, one of the frigate's grappling beams lanced out and struck the side of the mining vessel, capturing it to be towed back as the energy from the lance spread over most of the ship. Slowly the frigate began moving out of the gas cloud and back to base.
