Backstory:

Mondoth has ordered a blockade of Ravencorps and anyone trying to buy his new bioweapon (that does not harm humans). ViZion, Credonia and myself (I hope I'm not leaving anyone out) have called for Mondoth to stand down. Mondoth has now threatened the use of nuclear weapons against anyone who tries to interfere. (A bit hypocritical if I might add.)

Helmsdeep Air & Space Force Base, Crossman

Sirens rang out and pierced the air as air crews ran to their planes. Hangers doors opened and Crossmanian bombers began to make their way to the runways. From there they would make their way towards Mondoth and wait. If need be, they would attack. Until then, they would wait.

Forces mobilised:
200 SB-7 Pheonix bombers
140 SB-8 Vampire heavy strategic bombers

Imported_ViZion Aircraft, you are cleared to land, please disembark your passengers and then assume a holding position or return to your base, we have limited landing space that must be available for other delegates, please remember that weapons of any kind will not be allowed.
The helicopter made touch down, and within seconds, Lourance popped out from the side of the helicopter. Instantly, once he was cleared from the craft with his belongings, the ViZionarian helicopter took off.

At the Mondothian Sattelite Mapping and Survey Heaquarters Building in Port Triumph:
"Sir, coverage asses over ViZion indicates intercontinental strategic force has lifted off, intelligence indicates strategic loads. Destination currently unknown but there are only so many targets right now."

Very well lieutenant, Scramble the 'claws and have air defense command put on full alert, alert the Prime Ministry that a nuclear attack may be immenent and evacuate them o the safe zone, tell Camden Bay they're pissed over the no shoot order in the DC incident and I'm sure they'd love to have a combat test of those dee's, but make sure they get an E-20 to back 'em up. If any approach is unmonitored for so much as a fraction of a second I will personally hang whoever is responsible by whatever part of their anatomy is most painful, make sure SAC knows that."

"Yes Sir." as the lietenant left to make the calls, Admiral Bin Hasan, the man in charge of the Mondothian intelligence establishment made oem calls of his own, very special calls of the sort that had only once before in Mondothian history been made.

"Mister Prime Minister, I'm afraid Imported_ViZion has launched a possible strategic Air raid against Mondoth, as a prcautionary method you and your family will be moved to a secure location."

"Head of Mondothian Defense, this is Head of Mondothian Intelligence, at this time, please place all forces on stage three alertand stay tuned for updates."

As he finished alerting the relevant authorities, he turned a primitive and out of place looking knob on his desk he had had custom instaled when he took the job, turning the dial from 'Peace' to a very ominous looking 'War' as he did so, agents around the world began waking up ot check the FLASH trafic sent via secure, untraceable sattelite connections to little pagers that all Mondothian agents carried, checking their pagers, many swore and went back to sleep, or whatever activity they had been doing at the time. but several out of country swore and put on jackets, shorts and pants and went to work, while almost all in country swore, put on jackets and drove to the nearest Intelligence office building, logging on to computers therein and getting to work analyzing data and breaking codes until somebody could give a solid view of exactly what was happening and how far it would go.

On airfields around Mondoth jet engines slowly came to life, whinign to full power and then throatily boosting the decidedly un rrealistic looking E-20/a Tiger Claw Air defense aircraft into the air. the planes had bulbous noses that teardropped back into a regular aircraft fuselage that looked like it was being forcibly mated with a flying saucer, all while imporbably long wings dangled an assortment of sesnors and positively fearsom looking little shapes that were hard to make out because their color kept changing to match the background . These were the deadly secret of Mondoths Air Defense force, the Bathor Shadow Stealth Long range, high payload air to air missiles loaded with blue Sky 5 kiloton Nuclear Warheads designed to rip an enemy strategic bomber attack to pieces. the missiles were covered in an LCD skin camoflauge that made them all but impossible to spot visually, and were built like miniture stealth aircraft, all curves, no straight lines or angles to reflect radar waves. They didn't need to be particularly fast or maneuverable so most of their structure was pure stealth. the weapons guided in on the very powerful radar beams generated by the E-20/A aircrafts comprehensive array of radars and had an engagement range unmatched in air to air weaponry.
Each 'Claw' is escorted by at least four IF/A-14 'ThunderCat' long range, high speed interceptors built on modified F-14 Tomcat airframes. While the E-20/A stationed at the Famed Camden bay Shipyards facility has a far more insidious fighter screen, Four brand new SX-24D model stealth strike fighters, equipped with the latest fighter technology these incredibly stealthy fighters are more maneuverable than many modern Air to Air fighters and the new D model is the stealthiest aircraft now in the skies, featuring an expiremental and ver expensive Plasma Radar Shield, using a combination of the igh airfriction created by a fighter aircraft with magnetic inductors in the wings and leadding edges, the generators enhanced the naturally occuring plasma field created by high speed aircraft, forming it into a barrier that absorbs all radar energy and is high enough energy to confuse IR and thermal targetting systems, coupled with the latest in LCD technology to create stunning optical camoflauge, the fighters are the closest thing to invisible now in the skies. the only fdrawback is the extreme cost of the plasma generators, the effect on maintenance personell (the generator are hard to maintain) and the fact that while the shield is active, the fighters own radar is useless and they must rely on external radars to acquire targets (such as the one on the E-20/As they are so conveniently escorting).


In less than two hours, the Mondothian Air Borders were locked down.

every labeled city is a major economic or political center (larger dots are worth more) the unlabelled dot north east of Faith Bay, is the Camden bay Shipyards. Naveira is an ex Mondothian Province that sperated, and, due to a governmental collapse is cirrently a joint protectorate of Modnoth and sveral other nations, the tan areas are desert and the spotted brown are mountainous. Mondoth is located in the NS equivalent of the North Pacific
"Sir, it looks like their scrambling their forces." a RAD officer reported.
"I figured. But no need to worry. They have their orders."

Onboard the lead B-2 bomber, lead B-52 bomber, and two leading fighters, they opened up their orders. After reading them, a message was sent to the all other aircraft in this mission to cut all communications.

Done.

After another 30 moments, they were only a mile from the edge of Mondothian airspace when they made sharp turn to the north, as the aircraft's began to encircle Mondoth, their targets selected, but not locked - yet.

The young sergeant's monitor flashed and began to beep.
"Major! Orbital Platform 12 is reporting that Mondoth's air forces have gone hot."

The major nodded. "Thank you Sergeant. Wait for orders from HQ, but get on the horn and make sure our Imperium-wide defense system is go."

Luckily, we were well-equipped to deal with the destruction they delt to us, and we were able to survive - though barely.

To Egyptstan and all interested nations: As part of our peace proposal, We are compiling a list of 'responsible nations' which we will allow sales with to proceed. This is part of a newly formulated policy in reaction to recent events surrounding the Biological Weapon policies. if you believe another nation to be capable of responsibly handling biological weapons, please submit that nations name and proof of responsibilty for consideration. No nation may suggest itself to the list though nations may be spontaneously added by the list keeper. As for standing down, we have already done so, it is up to ViZion and Credonia now

"They have to have radar detectors, it would be suicide other wise. If they continue violoating our emergency airspace then send them a less ambiguos message."

(OOC: sure it seems like a neat trick, but you must remember that a nations airspace is ultimately decided by the nation itself, if you want to hang out a mile outside our airspace feel free, but I can (and have) move my airspace to include your air fleet, it is now perfectly within my rights to blow you out of the sky. and it seems your aircrafts only means of communication is lacking, what happens when they need to coordinate a refuel or if they need to be recalled ahead of time?

"You are currently identified as being on a hostile Vector towards Mondothian Airspace, please stand down or prepare to be fired upon."

Message to Credonia: Minimal efforts at peace! At least we are not deploying our strategic air assets to your nation and dropping nuclear weapons on the way, nor are we attempting to blockade a perfectly legal naval force currently in international waters and tasked to STAND DOWN, , in case you forgot or have not recieved word yet, here's the message again: Our Task force will remain in position in international waters, any interference will not be well regarded however, the task forces will not be taking an active blockade roll and will instead be gatherins intelligence on ships and aircraft leaving Raven Corps. Territory. (OOC: the task forces are recently commissioned FMCV fleets that are designed to maintain an exteremly low profile, the ships incorporate many stealth features to reduce their visibility to radar, aircraft and infrared/thermal sensors as well as a comprehensive electronics suite that includes gear for effectively blinding sattelites while they are in a line of sight to the fleet). any interference with this perfectly legal and non threatening mission will not be kindly viewed, nor will it be construed as any sort of an attempt to establish the peace you talk so condescendingly of.
Please consider your position and the full scope of events before you continue waving your sword at us, all we have done is temporarily enforce a small scale blockade, which has since ended, and threatened a nuclear attack we cannot carry through with

In other news, Sources within the Mondothian government have revealed that the recent push to increase infrastructure in several rural areas is in fact a ploy, the construction work taking place in remote parts of Mondoth is intended to shield and decoy the placement of three new intercontinental missile silos. Our source says that the increasing proliferation of Biological weapons has forced Mondoth to increase its ability to respond to such threats in a decisive manner The new missiles are said to be MIRV capable meaning that each missile actually caontains as many as twelve warheads that can be set to hit different targets. Other than increased payload, the missiles will be following th plan of the Wildfire missile they are planned to augment.
In other news, the new FMCV naval vessel series has completed sea trials and has seen its first combat, more on that later.

if you follow Mondothian nuclear policy, this brings the total number of Mondothian ICBMs to four, none of them controlled by the military and only three of which are multiple reentry vehicle capable.

You however have not only threatend retaliation, but are apparently taking the offensive role by dispatching a large force which flaunts its nuclear payload. and have threatened a non threatening naval force. If you truly wish for peace, then might I suggest looking to your own government before crying to mine.

So please don't tempt me, we are currently not assuming any sort off aggresive stance so back off or be considered hostile agreessors and be destroyed along with the rest of your allies strategic airforces, trust me, we don't mess around on defense, any minute now you'll get pinged by some pretty powerfull radars, on the other end of those radars is a set of nuclear anti air missiles, designed to destroy in one missile just exactly the sort of attack your trying.

OOC: The idea of no communication is so that they cannot be recalled. They will continue on until they are nearly out of fuel, and then return. If we want to "recall" them, we simply do not send out another group to take their place. As for the borders, we go by international law - meaning it is a set position... there's no expanding and shrinking of the borders.

We are glad you are willing to loosen up. Yes, we agree that certain nations should not be allowed to purchase this, and we have already talked to Raven to stop him from selling it to a young, aggressive nation.

Helicopter Over International Waters Approaching Mondothian Yacht

Looking over last minute notes, Credonian Secretary of State Lauren Smith prepared for the conference and revising her strategy to best deliver Credonian foreign policy at the talks.

"Madam Secretary, we are five minutes out from the yacht. We are notifying Mondoth for landing clearance right now" says the pilot over the intercom.

Lauren did not reply. She merely sighed and prepared her belongings.

The pilot got on the radio to contact Mondothian forces around the yacht of the approach.

"This is Credonia Two requesting permission to land. Credonian Secretary of Defense Lauren Smith onboard to attend the conference, over.

Meanwhile, Over International Waters Approaching Mondoth

The formation of Credonian bombers and stealth fighters continued their journey to Mondoth. Everything was going according to plan. Soon they would reach their pre-determined arrival coordinates to begin their holding pattern just outside of international borders.

Presidential Palace, Credonia City, Credonia

President Sutton sat in the situation room monitoring the situation as it unfolded. He was surrounded Credonia's highest ranking and most brightest military and political minds.

"Those fools really think that we would be launching a raid against them. Hah...thats a dangerous assumption. If they jump the gun and shoot down a single Credonian plane, all of Credonia will be all over their asses...they have no idea who they're fuckin with." says Sutton rather bluntly.

The people in the room werent totally used to hearing such language from the President, however, they knew that he was serious in what he meant and didnt think too much of it, afterall, Sutton was known for speaking his mind.

"Send the following message to Mondoth..

To the leaders of the nation of Mondoth, Credonia has stated its demands and we will not deviate from those demands. You have stood down, very well but you have not relocated your naval forces. Comply with our demand to move them 100 nm away from the coast of the nation or else we will do it for you in a rather forceful way. I see no harm in this demand. If you dont want war then you wont see any harm in carrying this out. Also, should any Credonian plane be even merely fired upon, whether it is hit or not, we will respond with an all out retalitory response from all factions of our military, nuclear, biological, chemical, and conventional. Our planes are over international waters and we expect them all to return without molestation from your military forces unless they disobey their commands and wander into your territory, at which time, you would be more then legally obligated to shoot them down. However, until such a thing happens, fire upon our forces and we WILL respond with everything we got, and i do mean everything.

Also, at this time, Lauren Smith, the Secretary of State is enroute to your yacht to attend the peace talks. She has full authority to set and dictate Credonian foreign policy. It would be wise to deal with her carefully because she speaks directly for me and the Credonian government. Her spoken words during this peace conference will be translated by myself and this government as policy of the land and we will enforce those policies fully and to the best of our ability."

Having fully thought out her oppinon on this, Madam President Kitan has sent this message to each party takeing part in this grim war.

People of all kinds, Please, Heed these words, A nuclear war cannot be won, Their is no victor when the dust clouds part. Their is only death, If you continue the path you are taking, Their will be nothing left of any of you. I bid you to meditate apon this.

As she sends the message off, she leans back in her chair and sighs. Her Advisor steps forward.

"Madam President, That was a wonderful Speech...But do you think they will listin?" he says. Kitan looks at him, and sighs again.

"Not likely.."

The pilot of the lead bomber heard the message from Mondoth and laughed. He opened a secure channel to the rest of the planes.
"This is Gold Leader. All aircraft maintain radio silence. Do not respond to that message. Our orders are to wait outside their airspace. Do not cross into Mondoth airspace until we are ordered to. IC: To all strategic forces currently in or approaching Mondothian Airspace: Sovereign Air borders have been extended by 40 kilometers in response to threats of nuclear attack, any non Mondothian AIrcraft found within the border after a three hour grace period will be persecuted as a hostile force violating our sovereign borders.

Far enough away from the new Mondothian border to be relatively safe, but close enough that the E/A-20's powerful radar suite could fully appreciate the incoming Aircraft:
"Allright, that was the first warning, second warning is now underway, ultra capicitors preparing to discharge, beam focused, burst one away" At the words, the E/A-20 AWAC aircraft let loose a very powerful burst of radar, focuseed tightly to just barely encompass the entirety of the Credonian airforce the beam was powerful enough to short out delicate, unshielded electronics and to heat up a cockpit by a goodly fraction of a degree, enough to be registered by any sort of atmospheric control system. Acroos the airspace border, Tiger Claw Attack, Warning And Control Aircraft were letting loose with similar directed attacks against the Crossman and ViZion forces as well, fed by a series of Ultra Capicitors, the aircraft had five 'shots', or one warning and one powerful enough to turn out the lights in a small town while its primary power supply remained unaffected.

The Crossman force seemed almost laughably aloof in their supposedly high altitude circling, there was no way they could have suspected something like the SX-24D, LCD skin adaptive camoflauge coupled with the plasma stealth shield and external guidance from an E/A-20, as well as a copious ceiling from the use of hydrogen/methane injecting low bypass turbofan engines capable of producing thrust well into the upper reaches of the atmosphere, allowed a particularly daring maneuver in which the expertly trained and most experienced fighter pilots in Mondoth (Shrak Aeronautics Test pilots) took their advanced fighter up and over the Crossman airforce, once there, they truned off the Plasma shield, letting the enemy radars play with the streamlined airframe that remained stealthy even without high tech aids and letting anybody who wanted a look to read the text printed on the seemingly single screen created by the incredibly tight fighter formation which read:
"Turn Back Now, This is your Second Strike, Strike Three is Accompanied by a Premature Sunrise" And then an animation of a nuclear blast. After that the fighters once again activated their considerable stealth systems and disapeared back towards a nearby airbase and relief pilots.

The ViZion aircraft recieved a similar message from a flight group of regular SX-24s which really only lacked the plasma shields, the LCD screens were very much in evidence and again used to deliver an unequivical message.

We will not remove our legally established and non threatening forces from international waters until such time as your forces are removed from international territory surrounding Mondoth, Essentially, you move, we move.

After eviewing your demands, the fleet commander would like to state that he fully appreciates your position but that his ships are sadly incapable of moving to within 100 nanometers (OOC:abreviated as:nm, I'm nothing if not a nit picker and more people use standard than imperial measure, I just happen to be one of them, in the future, watch your assumptions) of the Raven Cost as his ships possess neither the navigational control to achieve that positon nor shallow enough draughts to do so.

The ViZionarian aircraft began to act strangely for a moment before coming back under control. "The fuck was that?" wondered one of the pilots. However, since they had not been attacked, nor had the lights turned on yet, they would not launch any attack yet.

They would soon need to turn back to ViZion due to fuel issues. However, they still had time left to continue on with their mission. They would keep going for another few hours, and if all went well, they would turn back.

Yes, we do recall that you had stated no nation can suggest their own nation. However, we were simply re-itterating our nation due to the fact you had stated our nation.

We also wish to tell you that since the situation has seemed to calm down, and we are no longer on the brink of nuclear war, our aircraft encircling your nation will soon be headed back home.

They cut their communications due to the requirements on select missions, including this one, thus we cannot simply ask them to return to base. They will be returning within a few hours without any attack upon your nation so long as you leave them alone and do not attack our nation.

Aboard the lead Crossmanian bomber the message was recieved. The pilot opened a channel to the others.

"Alright boys, show's over for now. Let's go home."

The plan had worked like a charm. All Credonian nuclear forces had been withdrawn and were now on their way back home. The illusision of peace had worked. If the Mondothian government had thought that Credonia would allow other nations of lesser size and military power to talk down to it as if they were superior, they had another thing coming. President Sutton would not allow insults from a miltarily, economically, and politically inferior nation, no matter who that nation may be. Mondoth asked for an invasion, and an invasion is precicely what they would get.

Under the cover of darkness, the Credonian Western Battle Fleet recieved new orders. Preparations were made for the fleet to head directly to Mondoth and begin an offensive assault on the country's defenses, led by CNS Credonia, the nation's first Credonia Class Super Dreadnought, a nearly invincible naval vessel that could wipe out an entire naval fleet that was inferior to Credonia's own, by itself. Soon Mondoth would realize the grave mistake it made when it asked Credonia to invade them.

The Mondothian Task forces had a mission to do, and being 183 Km away from their intended targets would not stop them. The ships moved back to the dictated mark, but in order to monitor the area more effectively, the task forces had already deployed recon drones and despite an increased distance from areas of responsibility, would continue to do so.

Surveilance Center, MNV Gladius

"Sir, oh twelve is picking up an anomally, looks to be just in the area of the Credonian Forces."
The watch officer came over and reviewed the data.
"Nonsense, wholly expected, we left our station and the only reason they were there was to keep us from doing something foolish, I'm sure they're headed back to their normal stations."
"Sir, Credonian territory is east of here, these ships are definately heading north and west, towards Mondoth."
"Damnit, retask surveilance units, follw the Credonian fleet, call the captain in."
In seconds Captain Reyes was in the SC reviewing the intelligence data, minute later she was on the Shadow Net, talking to Admiral Perez.
"Sir, the Credonian Fleet is moving towards Mondoth! it is unmistakable sir they are moving quickly and pointedly, it must be a surprise attack."

Another minute passed and all ships recieved updated orders on shadow net. weapons were loaded and armed and the fleets alert status was raised, sattelite links began burning with conversation between the fleet admiral and the Mondothian COmmanders in chief until a plan of action was decided upon.


In mondoth itself, with the end of the nuclear threat lurking just off shore, the nation had breathed a collective sigh of relief, but un known to the general public, defensive stations on Mondoths coast were coming on line,automated missile positions ran self diagnostic programs and as software updates became rapidly available they began reviewing new attack protocols and enemy signatures were reviewed until the MOndothian coast was practically bristling with disguised, automated weapons fully activated searching on active and passive radar arrays for the signatures of Credonian ships.

The Task forces slowly bgan accelerating after the Credonian fleet, never straying within the weapons range of the fleets air forces, but staying just close enough that the credonian fleet would know they were there. The combat Air Patrols changed from Sensor laden Gull fighter to hardy, heavily armed IF/A-14 Interceptors armed with a variety of Bathor long range air to air missiles and Shrike Anti ship missiles with a scattering of Gold type AMRAAMs.

The Credonian military brass were no fools and the Credonian technology was far more superior than the enemies realized. It was apparent that Mondoth had caught whiff of something fishy. Luckily Credonia had more naval forces stationed at home, another couple battle fleets to be precise. They had been mobilized when all conventional forces were mobilizing.

The Credonian VIP helicopter landed on the Yacht's landing pad for long enough to allow Secretary Smith to disembark the craft. She was accompanied by two body guards who carried small side-arms, nothing heavy, just enough to protect her should things go amuck in all the chaos. She had been briefed on the events that were transpiring, but she would give no clue to the Mondothians of what was going on. Instead, she would pursue peace as best as she could to prevent what seemed like an inevetable war on the Credonians part, from happening.

Air Force: "Their air force is nothing special, mostly vintage U.S. bloc with some surpirses thrown in, We've retasked the E/A-20's and IF/A-14 interceptors to defend from an attack, SF-41s are on call incase something happens, everything is pretty much superior unless they've made some unorthodox 'grades. even against superior numbers, I can pretty much guarantee the air war."
Marines:"Same ont he ground, most old U.S. bloc, few surprises, they concentrate on armor so they're the perfect target for our tactics, if they land they'll be fighting continuos action against highly mobile, supported infantry on all sides, Tempests are en route by air and should be able to deal with their MBTs without even flinching. Unless they have a lot of support fromt he sea, they'll never get passed the hundred click mark."
NAvy: "They've got some serious naval hardware, the Credonia class SDN is a major threat as is the many battleships, I've authorized the re configuremnt of a number of Mithrils as SDN killers and I've recomissioned soem Hydra's, We once again have a full conventional bombardment fleet and that alone should stop those dreads in their tracks, air superiority over the enemy isn't a problem with support from land based wings, but even so that super can take a lot of punishment, Swifts are the best chance and their being armed up and dispatched. The rest is gravy, those heavy ships don't have anything near a proper support group, mostly frigates and we all know how to deal with those. I imagine that if we strip the Super then it'll just run, even with the damage tolerance on those things, they're expensive and destrying one is a major psyche blow"

Air Force: "Then we'll be doing this by the book, standard plans?"
Navy: "I don't see why not, the force composition is better than even best case scenerio for this kind of size imbalance, we're looking at a military focused on big and powerful, Abrams MBTs, a super dreadnaught, plenty of dreadnaughts and support is mostly small stuff."
Marines: "So, Operation Cochran is a go?"
Navy and Air force together: "Yes."

At sea, The Task Forces:

Having recieved and distributed his orders, Admiral Perez was pensive, leaning over the railing he couldn't see his enemy, one failing of modern naval conflict, enemy ships were rarely in sight of each other. he couldn't get a personal feel of his enemies strategies and weapons, but it was okay he had capabilites old Jones, Drake and Hornblower had never dreamed of in their wildest. while not personally capable of seeing his enemy, sattelites and surveilance drones allowed him a supernatural knowledge of exactly wher ehis foe was, and new weapons allowed him to strike with virtual impunity.

At precisely 1200 hours, Admiral Perez's task force did something that was not normally expected of a fleet with no electronics war fare ships. it began outputting massive amount sof jamming aimed at the Credonian fleet, while a deadly soundign array of MASERs and LASERs spread over several ships began humming contentedly as it began focusing radiation of arious sorts towards the heaven, Lasers blinded orbital cameras while Masers blinded sattelite borne radars and jammed communications to and from those sattelites.

The jamming was total, all frequencies were mucked beyond all recognition, radar screens on both sides became useless fuzzy green circles capable only of displaying an endlessly useless pattern. At this point in the game, the Modnothian forces didn't radar, they were on home territory.

As soon as the jamming began, a wave of a different sort departed the safety of the Mondothian fleet, literally jumping into the air, many Free Booter class vessels lifted themselves bodily fromt he water on the strength of Shrak Aeronautics B-21 turbofan jets and supporting themselves on stubby surface effect wings.
At well over a hundred knots the sortie set off, in minutes it was upon the Credonian fleet, This attaks weapon of choice was 160mm Mortar rounds, designed to gouge holes in decks, provide a libeal dose of lethal fragments to any sailor on deck and to deal million of dollars in damage to on deck weapons, radars sensors, windows and aircraft.
The sortie contained itself to the Carrier fleets where its mission was to disable the carrier decks through the gouging mortars.

We, the leadership of the Pure Socialist Holy Empire of Shazbotdom and her Colonies wish to let all nations who are involved in this conflict of our thoughts and intentions pertaining to the Selling of this weapon by Raven Corps. We believe that it is a nations soul responsibility to set up a safeguard system to make sure that their product does not reach the hands of nations that they deem not worthy. With that being said, we believe that it is NOT the responsibility of a Foreign power to dictate the international and national policy of any nation and or corporation that does not reside within their boarders.

Emperor Leotardia looked at his message just shortly BEFORE he sent it out. It was a good message if he did say so himself. He then pushed the "send" button and picked up his phone. He waited to hear the voice of his secretary on the other end.

Secretary: "Could i get you anything, sir?"

Galen: "Could you get me the Minister of the Marine Corps on the line?"

Secretary: "Yes, Sir."

The phone then went dead, or it sounded like it went dead. While he waited, Galen flipped through files on his computer and ran across the latest test results from Weapon X. It looks like it's ready to be tested in the open. I hope we can find a spot for these tests to take place within the next week. it will be interesting to see this in action. Just then the phone was picked up on the other end. General Theod spoke to the Emperor in a rather dismayed tone.

Theod: "Sir. Is there something wrong? I didnt' expect you to call me till we found a place to test Weapon X?"

Galen: "This is due to another situation. It seems that a nation that we are in an alliance with is threatening the soverignty of Raven Corps. I have issued a statment saying that we will defend Raven Corps against any and all agression by Mondoth. Mondoth is the nation we are allied with, for the time being."

Theod: "So, what do you want me to do about this?"

Galen: "Nothing at the moment. Just get a group of troops ready for deployment as soon as possible. Also, i issued a report to the Mutual Aid Pact notifying them of the situation. We will see within a few days what the rest of the Alliance thinks about this situation. But no matter what happens, we are defending Raven Corps, no matter what the alliance says. We will leave the alliance if need be."

Theod: "Understood, Sir. I'll see which divisions i have available and calculate the cost of a conflict in comparison with the current budget and get back to you. You should expect a message from me either late tonight or early tomarrow morning."

Galen: "Good."

Galen then hung up the phone and sat to think. What was he getting himself into? All he knew is that he hated when other nations dictated the selling policy of a corporation that has no affiliation with them whatsoever. This would be a quick battle, if he had his way...

IC:
We find the demands of Shazbotdom in this instance to be most ridiculous, in the current situation we have already withdrawn to our own borders and are making an active defense against the Credonian fleet. If Shazbotdoms forces move in an agressive fashion towards Mondothian territories or forces then they can expect to face the same fate the Credonian fleet is even now experiencing.

**Aboard the USS Shazbot (Illeva Vasaili-class Aircraft Carrier)**
Heat plooms started being visable from the USS Shazbot as she and her naval group began to prep for the journey ahead. No word had come from Naval Command about what the orders of the 1st Naval HAVOC Assault Group was to do, but there was much speculation from within the ranks of the fleet. Captain Neroth was sitting in the bridge looking at a map of the world when the radioman pulled open the curtain surrounding his post.

Radioman: "Captain. There is a lot of chatter on the international radio networks. Something about a meteor hitting the ocean 10,000km east of the mainland. Could that be where were going?"

Neroth: "I doubt that. The fleet wouldn't be mobilized unless there was something major that had to be done. No. This is probably either a war or a peacekeeping mission. Word is that our allie Credonia is asking for our assistance, but where that is we have no clue."

Commander Peterson, second in command of the USS Shazbot, walked onto the bridge and checked the latest logs from the engineering consol at the back of the bridge. He shook his head and then walked behind a curtain to where the sonar and radar station is.


**At Shazbotdom Naval Headquarters**
Admiral Yackber was sitting at his desk waiting for final confirmation that the fleet was ready to depart. Although they wouldn't be fully ready when their engines came online fully. He had ordered that their weapons stocks include several thousand SuperSonic Cruise Missiles in case the fleet was attacked by hostile fleets. He wasn't taking any chances in this matter. Suddenly his phone rang and he picked it up. Fuck. Not that phone. he thought to himself. He then opened up a desk drawer and picked up the RED phone.

Galen: "Prepare the fleet for departure. I want you to lead the fleet so report to the USS Shazbot. I want it stationed roughly 30 Kilometers outside of the territorial waters of the Nation of Mondoth. We will be giving close support and supplies to our allie of Credonia. I've ordered the 1st through 5th Fighter Companies as well as the 1st through 4th Bomber Companies to transfer to your aircraft carriers. When you arrive at your destination, you will make contact with the Credonian forces and set up a location to meet up at. You WILL be flying the Shazbotdom Flag and you are authorized to fire back at any targets that fire upon you first but you DO NOT fire at any targets that do not pose a threat to the saftey of the fleet. Do i make myself clear?"

Yackber: "Yes, Sir."

The phone then went dead and the Admiral put it back in the drawer.


**At Shazbotdom Marine Command (Hidden Underground Bunker)**
General Theod had just got off the phone with the Emperor a minute ago and was looking over the information on which groups were ready to deploy. he really didn't want to send out anyone of importance, but he only had 10 hours to get them ready to load up onto the 1st HAVOC Naval Fleet. He then made a call to Civilian General Hank Nero.

Theod: "General Nero. I want you to round up your copany and report to Naval Port as soon as possible. I'll send you the mission profile as soon as you get there with all your men. Now i will get confirmation from the Quartermaster at the Naval Docks that all your men are there so be timely."

Nero: "Yes, Sir. The 3rd Reserve Company is ready to serve the Empire."

OOC: Sorry for the n00bish "OMG Mondoth" RP-destructing response below, but...

IC: RK has naturally sided with Mondoth in this cold war (for lack of better term) due to both a disregard for WMDs and of course the failed RK>Farmina war. If this escalates into a conflict we will offer support.

Galen looked at the latest message from Random Kingdom and put his head into his hands. I don't know what to do, he thought to himself. Should I still offer my support for Credonia or should I back out? I don't want to risk losing allies at this time in the history of the Empire. God damn i wish that something could help me make this decision. He then looked out his window for a few minutes.


Fort Kinitra Marine Corps Base
Civilian General Hank Nero was meeting with the 8 other men who, along with Nero, made up the leadership of the 3rd Company of the Shazbotdom Marine Corps Reserves.

Man 1: "Roughly 99% of the people are accounted for. The only ones are around 10 people who live in Bolingbrook. I talked to one of them on his cell phone and they are roughly 35 minutes out, passing Gerogetown as we speak."

Man 5: "Were roughly 45 minutes from the Naval Base right now. If we leave right after we get here we will be aboard the ships in the next hour and a half."

Nero: "What we need though, is to figure out what our orders are. General Theod said that we will figure that out when the naval vessels get to their destination. From what i hear, we are deploying to meet up with a naval group out of Credonia, a trusted ally of the Empire. What it is about we are unsure of. Even the naval commander is unclear as to what we are being called out to do."

Man 8: "I think I speak for the men when I say that we are ready for anything that we are tasked to do."

The other men nodded their heads. As they looked down the road, they saw a white van entering the gate. They noticed that it was the 10 who were called earlier saying that they would be there a little late. General Nero looked and then turned back to the other men.

Nero: "Well. Get everyone in their gear and prepare the trucks to be loaded up. We head out in 10 minutes."

The rest of the men salute General Nero and then walk off to their respective groups.

Mondoth Aerial Mapping and Survey Co.
"Sir, sattelites reveal a fleet readying for departure from Shazbotdom, We have no information on disposition but if they're recent statements are any indication its not to help us defend ourselves."
"Recall the Thirty Second and have it parralel the Shazbotdom fleet at a respectful distance, if they get to close to home without a new position then they'll be in positio to do some damage."
"Agreed, I'll send the order."

Thirty Second Bombardment Fleet
Current Location: Outside DMG territorial Waters.
"Admiral, Flash Traffic from FltCom, We are recieving new orders, to proceed to Shazbotdom with all speed and shadow the fleet forming therein. RoE is neutral and defensive. We've been ordered to leave the subs here. We're meeting up withe the third repleneshment group at the halfway mark for a new weapons load and a new submarine squadron."
"Good, this shadow game has been getting on my nerves, relay orders to all fleet elements, let's keep the decoys for now."
"Aye sir, orders being relayed."

Within minutes the small fleet began to move, gathering speed towards its new area of operation.

SECRET IC:
Shazbotdom Naval Base
The Marine Corps 3rd Reserve Company had just finished up loading onto the different Naval Ships. A few thousand on one, a few thousand on another. The Ships had bunkers made in them from a variety of crew quarters as the crew members were bunked together and the mairnes were bunked in a seperate area. This made it less confusing for the shipmates. The ships creeked as they began to back out of their berths into Shazbotdom Bay. They then slowly started to head toward the islands that kept the bay secure from massive fleets. The islands were lined with Anti-Aircraft Guns and Missiles as well as Anti-Naval Missiles. It was one of the most secure sections of the Empire, costing over 3 Trillion dollars over a 10 year period. As the ships got past the Islands, they headed to flank speed toward Mondoth and the Credonian Fleet.

Admiral Yackber stood at the front of the bridge on the USS Shazbot, ready to do anything he could to help Credonia.

We hope this is simpl a misunderstanding, but in the event that your government plans on taking hostile actions towards Mondoth at this time, a Full Bombardment fleet has been dispatched to ensure the security of Mondothian Interests.

"Admiral, The Shazbotdom fleet is within Shadow range, they should be picking up our radar signals now."

"Very good, match heading and speed. Deploy the Devestator and its group including decoys to circle around behind the Shazbotdoms to the other side, I want them to know that they're out classed and out maneuvered."

As the orders went out, about half the fleet slowed and then reversd thrust, preparing to make a long circle behind the Shazbotdom Fleet and then come up to full speed pull up on the other side. If the SHazbotdom Admiral didn't have access to sattelite imagery it would apear as if a second fleet had puled up beside it, and even if he did, then all it would show was that instead of over a hundred ships on one side, he had more than fify ships on either side of his fleet.

OOC: The 'decoys' are inflatables with real engines, real (though underpowered) radars and a few real weapons (Maybe one or two VLS cells, perhaps a 5 inch gun, and usually at least a CIWS), the only real way to see that they're fakes is to get close (Although if you have something creative I'm open to suggestions)

Admiral Yackber looked around him. He smirked at the attept of the Mondoth fleet at what they were doing. he looked at the map and saw that they were only about half way to their destination. So they want to play games, huh? Alright, i'll show them something that they don't teach anywhere else.

Yackber: "Comm, connect me via secure intranet videolink to the Captain of the Swanson, encoding enabled."

Comm: "Yes, Sir. Connecting in 5 seconds."

Yackber looks down at a video monitor and smiles as Captain Katherine Nerlokia's image appeared on his screen. She saluted and he saluted back.

Katherine: "Nice to see you again Admiral. What's up?"

Yackber: "I want you to take your task group, drop back, and get a firing solution on one of the enemy naval ships. Make sure you pick a good one, from what i can tell some of them are more heavilly armed than others."

Katherine: "Alright Sir. We'll drop back now. Anything else?"

Yackber: "I just wanted to thank you for your help with the awards ceremony last week. It went better than I expected it would."

Katherine: "Well. They don't call me the Queen of Coorordination for nothing. USS Swanson out."

The monitor went black and then went back to the image of the Imperial Flag.

Captain Katherine Nerlokia walked up to the command section and picked up her intership radio. She cleared her throat as she thought of what to say to the crew of the ship. She knew it wasn't going to be easy, but she had to get them motivated for this if she ever wanted to expect a promotion from Shazbotdom Naval Command. She then pushed the button and talked to the crew of her ship.

Katherine: "This is the captain. We have been ordered to prepare to launch torpedo's at what seems like hostile ships that surround us. I want you to try and do your best work for this. We can't let the Admiral down. Orders are to drop back behind the fleet that surrounds us and to aquire targeting solutions on them, but to not fire at them. Prepare general quarters in case we, or our fleet, are attacked. Captain out."

She then put the radio up and walked to the Comm booth. and tapped the Leutenant on the shoulder.

Katherine: "I want you to send a message to the other 2 Subs and notify them of our orders. They are to fall in and follow us. If they have any questions, tell them to direct their questions to Admiral Yackber."

Comm: "Rodger that."

He then got busy typing up a message to the other submarines.

Orders are to fall in behind the USS Swanson and follow us. We are dropping back and grabbing a firing solution on an enemy vessel in case the fleet gets attacked. Pritty sure that we will not have to fire up the enemy but if so we are to inflict as much damage as possible. Captain Katherine Nerlokia is in charge of this task force. Any and all questions are to be directed toward Admiral George Yackber of whom is aboard the USS Shazbot. Authorization code Three Five Four Nine Quenta Four Niner.

"Skip, enemy subs changing relative position, dropping back."
"Allright, set me up a solution, seems to me they feel like the only fish in the sea so launch a sounder and let 'em know were out there, but dial it down so they can't tell where."
"Aye sir, Decoy Room, One sounder, tell them we're home but don't open the door."

"One Low intensity sounder Aye."

and then a few seconds later
"Sounder ready for firing."
"Fire."
"Firing."


The Decoy's were all in racks open to the outside so that firing one didn't requir the noise and time of opening a firing port. The Sounder is a small torpedo like projectile fired out in a direction for X number of seconds before it automatically begins 'sounding' like the active SONAR array on a Mondothian ship, this one had been modified for low frequency so that the SONAR pings wouldn't give away the real Mondothian subs positions as well as the decoys.

*On Board the USS Shazbot*
Admiral Yackber left the main bridge and walked to a room just down the hall. He walked in and nodded to a few men who were working several different computers. Yackber walked toward an open station and opened up SatCont. SatCont is the program used by the Pure Socialist Holy Empire to control the Spy Satelites in orbit. He typed in a few codes and gained access to SpySat 42. With a few quick keystrokes, he had the spysat sending him 2 sets of video footage. One was a direct video feed and the other was a specialised video feed that showed not only heat sources, but also showed the topography of the ocean, which helped to pinpoint where actual ships were, unsubmerged and submerged.

Yackber: "Bridge, notify the Subs that hostile submarines are in the area." He then thought to himself, I should have fucking checked for that earlier. He pointed toward a crewman and told him. "I want you to watch these 2 monitors and notify me of any change. I want to know if they flinch, when they stop, or if the captain goes to take a shit. Understood?"

Crewman: "Yes, Sir!" he said with a crisp salute.

The Admiral then walked out of the room and walked toward his personal quarters. He decided that he needed a break. When he reached his quarters he turned on his personal laptop and went to check his E-Mail. He picked up a green phone and dialed up the bridge.

Yackber: "Captain Green. Your in charge for the rest of the night. I'll be back up there at 06:30 tomarrow morning."

He then hung up the phone before the captain could answer back.

"They're still coming, not much else to report, we let them know we had subs in the area after they made some hostile looking moves but so far all they're doing is cutting waves in our direction."

"Well, if they get to close without good reason we'll deal with them but so far they could be either upholding the MAP agreement or upholding whatever ties they have to Credonia, its a delicate situation. keep me informed"

"Yes sir."

ooc: sheesh...I leave for three weeks and I come back to find a major conflict happening....

IC: The Emperor is a bit confused. Mondoth has decided that Xeraph is not to be included on the list of responsible nations for the handling of WMD, ignoring the list ViZion put out including Xeraph. It seems to the Emperor that Mondoth has overstepped it's bounds in more than one area.

It also has occured to the Emperor that a nation with the limited capabilities of Mondoth should be extremely careful as to who it picks a fight with. ViZion, Crossman, and Xeraph have been loyal allies for a long time....you pick on one, you deal with them all.

The Emperor has decided to deploy the 23rd, 24th, 55th, 39th, 112th, and 66th CBGs to the area of conflict. Each CBG is comprised of 24 vessals, including Battle Carriers, Standard Carriers, Battleships, Destroyers, Missile Ships and Subs.

The 77th, 67th, and 91st AirWings have been put on High Alert. Each AirWing is comprised of six squadrons of 12 aircraft per squadron. In addition, a squadron of B3 Python Bombers have been placed on High Alert.

Galen walked back into his office and noticed that it was exactly how he left it and thats great. But this was no time to celebrate his victory in the election as there were bigger fish to fry. He walked to his desk and picked up the red phone and imeditally began talking to the Minister of Defence.

Galen: "You must have heard about the threats to our nation by this ICC. The problem is that we are helping our close allie Credonia in a conflict against another allie of ours, Mondoth. now we wont' become an aggressor against Mondoth but we will not just back away from this."

Rockenbach: "What do you suggest sir?"

Galen: "What I suggest is that the DEFCON rating be upped to 1 and the deence network be brought to full capacity instead of just 80% capacity. Put the Reserves also on high aleart."

Rockenbach: "Alright sir. I'll make sure that all Reservists are called up as soon as possible."


*Aboard the USS Shazbot*
The fleet had just arrived near the Credonian fleet when they recieved a message from Shazbotdom Naval Command. They were to split up and head toward a different location. Oh joy...


*At Fort Leonard*
The 1st Marine Resreve Company were gathering for their orders. Civilian General Jack Harris made sure that the skys were clear and asked the Base Commander to use Spysat 15 to check the skys to see if there were any enemy spy satelites before he briefed his men.

Harris: "Alright men. Our orders are to defend the nation against an attack from forign powers. Rumor has it that an international organization called the International Criminal Court has made open threats against nations that harbor people who they considered 'fugitives'. If any of these peopel who are wanted by the ICC, which is what they are calling themselves, they will be brought to our capital, Shaz City, to be a guest of the state. We will protect them during their stay in Shaz City."


*Aboard the USS Shazbot*
Admiral Yackber looked at the orders from the Emperor. They arrived a few seconds ago and were very specific on what they were to do. Half of the ships were to stay near Mondoth to help and supply the Credonian fleet with medical supplies and amunition while the other half of the fleet was to head toward a Nation called Driverco to help in a show of force. Yackber looked out of the ship and around at the ships in the fleet. He now had the difficult decision of choosing which ships would stay here and which ones would go to Driverco. This is one thing that he didn't like about his job, splitting up the fleet.

Communication: "Sir. We just received information stating that a group of our AC-01's is already near the Fleet that is blockading Driverco."

Yackber: "Excelent. now to figure out which ships we will send to Driverco."

"Sir, the Shazbotdom fleet is breaking up, looks like athey have another situation to deal with, It does appear however that a portion of their ships are maintaining positions near Mondothian Waters."

"Send them a warning then, it's time they learned we mean business"

Mr. Prime Minister,

I usually have an underling deal with the details and responses necessary for a military foray of this size, but I'll personally take the time to answer you.

If Xeraph does indeed attack Mondoth, it will not be a baseless act. Xeraph never has yet fired the first shot. That will be the case here also. Xeraph's involvment in this little fight is based solely on the fact that Credonia and ViZion are old, loyal allies of Xeraph. You fire on either of them....you fire on Xeraph. It's as simple as that.

I do not assume that Mondoth is either weak nor less than capable of defending itself. I do know that whatever aid you may be able to conjure up will in no way be able to match the combined allied strength of Xeraph, ViZion, and Credonia. Xeraph by itself has more allies than Mondoth could ever hope to defeat, never mind ViZion's and Credonia's allies.

You have absolutely no idea who your'e dealing with.

Oh, by the way, you Might be Right.....but I doubt it.

General Lord John Strickland, Supreme Commander of the Xeraphian Forces, read the reports, and paused a few seconds to take it all in. " Ensign, the Emperor has already assigned six CBG's to the region, along with two AirWings, has he not?"

"Yessir, general. That is the current status."

Damn, Strickland thought. I have no confirmation from Credonia that they have engaged the enemy. " Ensign, inform the Emperor that Mondoth is claiming shots fired. In the meantime, alert Air Marshall Snyder that he is to scramble the 98th and 50th AirWings. They are going to render support to the bomber Wings."

"Bomber wings, sir?" Pulver felt a cold, hard ball form in his stomach.

" Yes the bomber Wings. I want the Copperheads and Rattlesnakes of the 98th and 50th to escort the Pythons to Mondoth. Also, inform the commanders of the King Cobra Wings that their presence will be needed shortly."

"The fighter-bombers, sir?"

"Yes, the King Cobras are to come in from the west, while the others will hit Mondoth from the south. Contact m'lords Sethanis and Vlad. Have the Black Shadow Legions ready to assault Mondothian territiory at my command. And have the Grey Phoenix ready to deploy all of their CBG's to the waters off Mondoth. Our six and their fourteen should put a bit of a damper on the Mondothian bravado."

Pulver had a bad taste in his mouth. This was the first time he had experienced a real war......and he was scared. "Sir, 20 CBG's against a nation like Mondoth? That's almost 500 vessals........they won't stand a chance."

" And that's not all, ensign. Have the High Admiral deploy 12 more 24 hours from now. Make sure that one of the CBG's have plenty of HCGS's on board. The selection of the CBG's are at his discretion. Over 800 naval ships of the Xeraphian/Grey Phoenix navies may get Mondoth's attention. Perhaps they will think twice before firing on us. We may end this peacefully yet."

"Yessir......" Pulver wasn't so sure.

" But, just in case they want to go all the way, have Ricala ready the silos. I want 10% of our ICBM's ready to launch at my command."

Alaric Tan'it, Emperor of Xeraph, was awakened by the shrill ringing of his commphone. The blinking light was a fiery red, indicating a military crisis.

As he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, he grabbed for the phone.

Gen. John Strickland, Commander of all Xeraphian Forces, said, "My apologies for waking you, Alaric. Mondoth has issued a statement, and it 'aint pretty. To summarize, they have demanded that all foreign forces remove themselves from Mondothian waters within 24 hours or it will be war."

" I wasn't aware that we, or anyone else, were in their territorial waters," Alaric said.

" We aren't, and I'm pretty sure that no one else is, either. Mondoth may using it as an excuse to rattle their sabres. They have dispatched their various Fleets, even those that have not yet been fully refitted. Their full capabilities are not known at this time."

Shit, Alaric thought. Mondoth was not your run-of-the-mill nation. While they were not as militarily capable as Credonia, ViZion, or Xeraph, they were of sufficient strength that serious damage could occur.

"John, what about our standard response. Has that been broadcast to Mondoth?"

" Not yet, Alaric. Shall we try that first? It has had a good record of quelling what might otherwise turned into an ugly situation."

"Yes, send it. I have nothing personal against Mondoth. As a matter of fact, didn't we have some dealings with them years ago? I think it was an NWO situation. They were on our side in that one."

I have reviewed your statement of intent concerning this standoff situation. Please be advised that Xeraph has no personal stake in declaring war on Mondoth. We are simply responding to a previously agreed upon treaty with Credonia to support them in a time of need. Whoever the instigator was here is irrelevant. Allies come to the aid of their friends whatever the reason.

I have not seen anything that would cause Credonia and Mondoth to go to war from the reports I have been given. Nonetheless, war appears to be imminent.

If I may give you a quote: "Come, let us reason together...." We of Xeraph have never initiated a war. We have always done our utmost to prevent bloodshed. Only when we were fired on did we respond with force.....in a few situations, overwhelming force.

The Emperor has ordered all Xeraphian Naval Forces to halt 10 miles outside of your international territorial waters. Be assured, we will not start this fight. But if necessary, we will finish it.

What we propose is a statement of purpose from each of the nations involved. The Emperor is sure that when all the cards are on the table, understanding, and then peace, will prevail.

As to your demand that all forces head back to their homeland within 24 hours, this is not only impossible, but impractical. As stated, we are outside of your territorial boundaries. We, and others, have every right to be there peacefully.

#1...we will not leave international waters just because you have paranoid
tendencies. as stated previously, we are not in your waters, indeed
we are at least 10 miles outside of your territorial zone. if a war
ensues, it will be because you fired on ships in neutral waters.

#2...our alliance with Credonia is nothing new. It has been many, many
years now that we have been allied to Credonia, and ViZion as
well. And there are many others.

#3...it's 800 ships, not 500. and there are a lot more where they came from.


#4...Mondoth reminds me quite a bit of Guffingford. Except that Guffingford
has the means to back up what they claim to be able to do.

" Friggin' great. Mondoth seems hell-bent to fight. He MUST know he can't win. He has nothing to gain....everything to lose. Vlad, is there anything else we can do to get through to them that we don't really want to destroy them?"

" Apparently not, Seth. It seems that they have their finger poised over the button. And there are only a few hours until they push it."

" Well, m'lord acting-emperor, what are you going to do?"

"Very funny. We've done just about everything we can do. All units are on high alert, 800+- ships are just outside Mondothian territorial waters, which means they are well within barrage-reach of Mondoth itself. The guns of the battleships will be able to reach quite a ways inland. We can walk the shells in at 1/2 mile intervals to a distance of 70 miles. The initial barrage will obliterate every living thing along the way.
The fighters on the carriers will be able to reach well inland within a few minutes, and the fighter-bombers will follow close behind with a first-wave strike, paving the way for the Pythons to close the deal. Rattlesnakes, Mambas, Cobras, King-Cobras, and Pythons......venomous and deadly.

Your army and marines will be landing after the fighters have done their job. How many do you have ready for departure?"

Sethanis spoke up, " As of now, only 200,000 armored troopers are ready to go. By Zero Hour, I can easily triple that number. And Ricala has assured me that he can put 350,000 of his people on Mondoth. I haven't heard from Cred, ViZ, or Crossman yet, but they ought to be able to throw another million ground troops into the fray, not to mention naval vessals, and aircraft. I don't have any idea what Shaz is gonna do. And....there is the missile ship from New Ausha."

" Missile silos ready? I was thinking that we could just glass 'em and save ourselves a bunch of aggravation."

Sethanis said, " I was thinking much the same myself. But you know what world readction will be: 'why did you pick on the little guy that way?' Little guy my ass. That prick wants a war. Well, he's gonna get one if just one bullet is fired in our direction. I say have the nukes ready. Small megs, if you want, but have 'em ready to go."

"Yes, that would be most sensible. OK, so now the waiting game............

Ricala, King of Auralinia and Director of the Xeraphian Space League, was checking the OSS scans on an hourly basis. Mondoth was assembling what appeared to be a naval fleet out of two of their ports. Their air bases were relatively inactive. Ground forces quiet. And that worried Ricala.

" Sgt. Major, anything new?"

Sgt. Major Jenkins was a grizzled veteran of the Empire's many wars. He'd been involved one way or another in all of them. But never in all his years as a soldier of the Empire was he as aggravated as he was right now.

Ricala was asking him every couple of minutes if anything was new, and it was driving him crazy. He wanted to shout at the young King, but you don't yell at Kings, so he grit his teeth and bit his tongue. " No m'lord, there is nothing new from the last time you asked, 2 minutes and 34 seconds ago."

Shit, thought Ricala. Either Mondoth's mouth is bigger than it's armed forces, or theyv'e got something up their sleeve. It could be that theyr'e intimidated by the Xeraphian/Grey Phoenix/New Ausan show of force...but that's doubtful.

You must have spent millins of dollars equiping and supplying those eight hundred ships all the way to our shores and yet because of our raised state of alert we have spent nothing to field 900 ships and the number is growing. We are not asking you to step down from anything. You are on your side of your territorial waters, and we are on the other side. No laws have been broken, nationally or internationally. As previously stated, we are simply making sure that our ally, Credonia, will have all the help they need in case you, or anyone else, attacks them. We have also stated that we will not initiate hostilities.


As to your extending your territorial boundaries, this is absurd. The entire international community recognizes that the standard and traditional boundaries extending into any body of water is 30 miles. That puts the Xeraphian Forces 40 miles from your nearest land mass. Hardly illegal.

So if you insist on this course of action, any hostilities that ensue will be at great risk to yourself.

After recieving the latest message from the Nation of Mondoth, the shazbotdom fleet stopped roughly 42km from the orriginal naval territory of Mondoth. A few hours ago he had ordered the 2 Repulse-Class, 3 Arleigh Burke-Class, and 2 Mercy-Class Ships to the other incident. Those ships departed roughly 6 hours ago and were almost 1/4 of the way to the area. Admiral Yackber placed the Captain of the USS Starcher in charge of the 2nd half of the fleet, the group that is headed toward the other incident. Yackber then got on the speakers and sent an audio message to the rest of the fleet. He didn't care if anyon else, including other nations, was listening in. As he took a breath to gain his composure, he thought about how he would tell the fleet. He then picked up the microphone and talked into it.

Yackber: "This is the Admiral. Our orders are to give the Credonian fleet as much support as we possibly can. I do not want to openly enter this conflict and will not attack anyone unless needed. So my orders are to give the Credonian fleet as much medical and/or food supplies as possible. If we can, we will let them use our Mercy Class Hospital Ships to treat any wounded. " No, m'lord. We neutralised their engines. We left them enough power to limp back 'from whence they came'." All chuckled at the reference to the Elizabethan speech that Stanwin had used.

" OK, so we know he's nuts. Cred still hasn't confirmed any type of engagement with them, so we're just going to sit here and wait. M'lord acting-emperor, I would suggest sending this wingnut a message that if any Mondothian forces, of any kind, come within 3 miles of Xeraphian/Grey Phoenix/New Ausan units, that we will consider it a hostile action, and will respond accordingly."

At an electronic command dozens of sattlites hidden in the dbris that litter earths orbit come to life. running slow self diagnostics these small and highly specialized devices began to move, emitting pulses of Millimeter wave radar their small pulsing retro thrusters maneuvered them into new orbits and accelerated them in a variety of directions, tracking in on the specific orbits of Xeraphian sattelites. As they neared their targets each Hunter/Killer sattlite began emitting a strong magnetic fielddesigned to interfere with electronic activity, powered by solar panels they could operate practically indefinately, interupting the vital flows of electrons that allowed computers, such as those controlling the targetted sattelites, to function. They were designed to temporarily disable enemy sattelite coverage to allow intercontinental missiles free passage through space dominated by anti missile sattelites, bt now they serve a different purpose, letting an enemy know that they are not invulnerable.

" M'lord, theyv'e activated their pulse-emitting probes. Which avenue shall we pursue, intercept/neutralise, or shall we just turn the lasers on them?"

Ricala was both amused and annoyed. Mondoth hadn't done their homework. At the very least, they should have read Xeraph's General Info Brochure that was handed out to tourists. They would have been aware of the Xeraphian Space League.

He thought that they surely had had some information about Xeraph's orbital capabilities. Evidently not. The somewhat primitive pulse-emitting probes that were now attempting to disrupt Xeraphian early Warning Systems were being systematically destroyed by the OBP's and the ESBP's ( Orbital Battle Platforms and Extra Spatial Battle Platforms), the lasers turning the probes into space-going junk.

Ricala, as Director of the League, was tempted to call on a squadron of the Ceti Fleet and just neutralise the Terran-bound Mondothian forces. But Vlad would have none of it. He wanted to give Mondoth one last chance to stand down and return to their bases.

The Prince had the entire battle-plan situated for a quick-strike victory with as minimal damage as possible. It was an escalating plan: the more they threw at us, the more we throw at them. However, Vlad was going to skip a few steps................

As the Mondothian aircraft approached the three-mile zone, all Coalition air-forces changed direction and bore down on the intruders. Of the 500-odd fighters already in the air, over 400 of them were about to engage enemy aircraft.

Rattlesnakes and Mambas from the Grey Phoenix carriers were lifting off, and the Cobras, Vipers and Copperheads were scrambling off the Xeraphian carriers. Another 700+- Coalition aircraft would soon join the 500 already there, and the land-based fighter-bombers, the King-Cobras, would join the fray in about 1/2 hour.

The Xeraphian and Grey Phoenix battleships were targeting the coastal installations on Mondoth.

All was ready.........all they needed was a "GO" signal........

They'll deliver the decisive blow in a little over an hour, but the destruction to all Mondothian facilities, military, industrial, and civilian will be virtually 100%. There'll be nothing left."

I had, just a few minutes ago, ordered the commanders of our ICBM silos to power up to DEFCON4. I felt that the only way to stop the rebels from detonating nuclear devices in as many as six nations was to eradicate them, and, as they are based in Mondoth, that meant eradicating Mondoth.
That decision, however, is unacceptable. We are endevoring right now to try and come to an agreement with Mondoth to find and eliminate these rebels, before they can procure the nuclear devices.
Please, we ask you not to fire on Coalition Forces. We are willing to stand down in the face of this common enemy.

The guards had been alert ever since hostilities broke out. While the buildings purpose as Mondoths Intelligence Headquarters was a tightly held secret there was always a possibility that an enemy agent had discovered the location and when a war was on, a hostile Special Ops force could easily slip into the country with the purpose of knocking Mondoth blind.

They expected foreign special forces, with guns blazing, or sneaky spies with cameras. Even after dozens of years of Naveiran unrest, nobody expected that they had the intelligence assets to discover the location, nor the organization and support to pull off an 'operation' ont he other side of the country. Nobody.

It was a total surprise when several hundred pounds of high explosive that had been smuggled in slowly over years detonated in several maintenance closets. In seconds the entirety of Mondoth's intelligence agency was a fiery ball and a column of smoke.

I have come to the conclusion that the presence of the fleet with destroyers is seen as an act of war against the Nation of Mondoth. THus i will officially cut down that ammount of ships. In 2 hours, a group of ships will leave the fleet stationed off the coast of Mondoth and head toward the other conflict that we are a part of. These ships will be the Destroyers and the submarines. We WILL keep the following vessels near Mondoth for medical purposes and that is not up for debate. We WILL provide medical and food supplies to our allies of Credonia. We WILL NOT, though, take part in the conflict and we WILL NOT fire any weapons unless we are fired upon first. If the ships Pure Socialist Holy Empire is fired upon by Mondoth forces, we will consider it an act of war. Stanwins phone rang, his personal cell phine, only five or six people had the number and three of them were family. Panicked he answered quickly. lookign at the Caller ID box he almost dropped the phone.

"Borodin, what the hell is going on over there!" he practically screamed intot he phone, only to get a rasping, barely alive response.

Admiral Yackber walked to the communications room where the Comm had the captains of the various ships under his command on radio. He only had one message to tell them, and that was his latest decision in this conflict. He was sick of people saying that he was the aggressor when he was just helping an ally with medical supplies. As he walked into the room the Comm officer saluted. Yackber saluted back and pointed to the microphone. The comm officer shook his head and Yackber picked up the microphone.

Yackber: "Attention fleet. I have new orders for several of the ships. The following ships are to break off from the fleet and head to the ICC Incident area at flank speed. USS Hyslop, USS Leonard, USS Swanson, USS Standford, USS Alerus. The following ships are to stay at their positions 2km outside the Mondoth Territorial Waters. USS Shaz Bot, USS Gamble, USS Hope, USS Red Cross. That is all for now."

All units will be returning to their respective bases immediately. We have not heard from New Ausa, but we are sure that they will be recalling their naval force, also.

As an update, we intercepted the transmission from the seperatists, and have come to the realisation that they were the unknown, "third-party" cause of the situation between Mondoth and the Coalition.

We are offering any aid to Mondoth that will bring these Naverian rebels into line with Mondothian law. Please let us know what we can do.

They have claimed to be in possession of several nuclear devices. Whatever it was that destroyed the CommCenter was not nuclear, but it was nonetheless big."

I was afraid of this, Vlad thought. I hope they'll let us help them.

"Captain, open a hailing frequency to Mondoth. Ask them what they want us to do. I am offering any and all help to them that they may need, medical, financial, and military. Quickly, captain........many have died and we must see to it that no more do."

We're going to need all the help we can get to track down the seperatists nuclear weapons. Our Surviving analysts would also like to review your original transmission, if we can corrolate them with what we recieved and our original transmission we may be able to track down their transmission point. Might be useless but could help us locate the seperatists. In return we'll transmit what we have on the Naveiran seperetists, this isn't the first time we've had problems with Naveira.
Any help you can give beyond that would be greatly appreciated in tracking down these rebels.

Our original intercept was pinpointed at a site off of your northern coast. We can't tell if it was a land-mass or a ship. The message-burst was not long in duration, so it was nearly impossible to lock onto, never mind trace.

We can have our orbiting CommPlatforms link up with our OSS-1 and 2 in sync with your orbital capacities. This will in effect form a "web" of communications wherein any transmissions originating on Terra will be triangulated and locked. If you wish, our BattlePlatforms can lock onto the point of transmittive origin and within a few seconds determine who it is that sent the message. If it's the Naveirans, we can destroy the site of transmission.

The Mondothian Government had long known that a Naveiran Seperatist Army camp lay in the eastern desert region, had even know precisely where it was, but for year the intelligence gathered by observing it had been more valuable than what they thought could be gained by capturing the rebels at the camp. Now attitudes had changed and it was time to send in a raid.

Our OSS-1 scans have locked on to the rebel site in the desert of the east. It is a region of midisize mesas and arroyos, making the extraction of this high-ranking leader problematical. A relatively small force of rebels could hold an attacking force off for quite a while. We do, however, have a suggestion.

Xeraph has in it's weaponry arsenal an AI unit known as "Spiders". They are approx the size of a horse, with eight hydraulic-powered legs, and armed with either 35mm Gatling Guns or Laser Heads. We have over 1.1 million of these units available, but we think we can penetrate to the enemy base and surround it with 50,000. The Spiders have a top speed of 44 mph, and can swarm into the area quickly. They will be programmed to capture the leader of the rebels, as well as any other ranking official of the Seperatists. We can have them ready in 2 hours.

The base is a regional headquarters for the Seperatist army, since they shut down our sattelite network they've been moving equipment in. we needed the satt imagery to see what they've been moving in and to see what sort of equipment there is and how its arrayed.

ooc: got your TG. I'm figuring a broad-based assault on several rebel bases at one time. Semi-guerilla fighting. Not too drawn out. Maybe we can get a couple of other countries to help, making it an allied thing.

Muhhamed Jafir was expecting an armoured division in the next day or so, hopefully in time for the inevitable Mondothian attack. He should have left the camp, even without their intelligence assets the Mondothian Oppressors knew he was here and that he was very probably in charge of some aspect of the nuclear threat, they would come, but without sattelite intelligence they would have no idea of the fortress that awaited any attempt to capture him. Even so, he knew the location of three warheads and the man who knew where the other three were, he was a valuable target and they knew he was here. He was confident however that any raid would wash up against the unbreakable defenses he had carefully constructed.

Mag-Rail depot, Rail Head Oil City:

The Mag-Rail lines that connected Mondoth were weak, easily disrupted. A single small bomb would destroy the fragile rails. The problem was that as easily as the rails were destroyed, it was far easier to just drop a simple line of spare rails into the gap. It was quite a dilema. Ibrahim Zarafi had thought long and hard about this problem before finding the solution clearly and simply presented in a back issue of Popular Mechanics. The plan was so simple it could not fail. using plans from the internet he had built in about a week, in his garage, a simple, small EMP device. Now witht he device in his backpack he was waiting in line for his ticket, watching the monitors for departing and arriving trains he hit the button in his pocket and was pleasantly surprised when the screens flickered to black. Waiting long enough to discover that train service was temporarily suspended he left quickly the way he had come. Nobody dead, nothing destroyed, and yet he had just committed a highly successful terrorist attack that would spell disaster for any attempted Mondothian attack on the camp for days.

after a few minutes on the phone it was clear something was up. The station wasn't answering, nor were any of the overseers working the rail head. Calling the Commander of the Mechanized Armor divisions heading towards Oil City by rail the operator told him to send a recon unit or soemthing to see what theproblem was, within an hour the scouts radioed back.

"Sir, The station is unharmed but the super' says they've been EMP'ed. no idea where it came from but it fried everything int he station from phones to critical control systems for the tracks."

In a few more minutes it was clear that the repairs would not be simple. All of the statins electronics would need replacing before the trains moved again. Without the rail lines to speed up deployment it would take the Tempest Assault Vehicles of the Mechanized divisions several days to get to the staging area, not a pretty thought.
