((OOC: I am beginning my Future-Tech nation right here. You can find information about it Here (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/The_Zenneth_Imperium) Originally, I had planned to post it's Military ships beforehand, but that will not come to pass, yet. I would appreciate it if other FT nations would humor and post about contacting/encountering the fleets, as I am eager to step into the world of FT with other nations.))

War Journal of Captain Decius Naevius Candidius, Comannder of the 865th Scouting Fleet:

Two months after the order came straight from the Imperial Palace of Vis Vires, I am to begin my scouting of the wastelands beyond the edge of our galaxy. The Emperor and his family are interested in seeing what lies beyond the Outer Rim.

In my humble opinion, how ever, this is simply a waste of time and money. We can search for eons, and find nothing out here. We may be lucky to find so much as a parasite on a Asteroid, how ever, the Emperors will is absolute.

The thousands of scouting fleets on this task our mostly comprised of light cruisers, though incase we do find any hostiles, they contain several destroyers, as well as one capital ship that serves as a flag ship to the commander of the fleet.

And so, I shall end this entry currently. I will begin my investigations immediately.

Signing off.

The worldship had stopped in a off-beat, unoccupied system for one of the periodically random exchanges. The process involved divesting the worldship of it's present stone outer layer for a new stone outer layer, made of different materials, with a different topographical and spectral signal, when the sensors picked up a number of in-bound vessels of undetermained origin.

The primary auxillery fleet was involved in wargames amongst the system's asteroid belt when they recieved the message of unknown in-bounds. The ships switched to yellow alert, ready in case of mischief.

As the ships enter the eight planet system, with the largest planet* occupying the third position and the asteroid belt between the sixth and seventh, they recieved a hail on all bands and frequencies.

We are interested in what brings you to this out of the way system, who you are, and your intentions."

ooc: * Between Saturn and Jupiter in size.
Note on size/numbers:
In it's present state(without the stone outer layer) the worldship is 5302km in diameter.
The auxillery fleet is 120 ships in total and 16.5 % of total navy.

One does not merely walk into the Chronosian Imperium; one does not defy the God's with every step and remain unscathed. As the scout ships drew nearer; long dormant sensors flared into life; a raw stream of data hurtling through the void in an instant, information travelling faster than light; transitioning through the void, finding it's other half.

A light, flickered upon a screen, far away in the foundries of Hydran, in the depths of Chronosia Secundus, and before the very eyes of the Emperor; in the vast Imperial Palace on Chronosia Prime. Daemon flesh wrinkled with interest; eyes crackled with warpflame in the darkness; the great and terrible Powertalon clasping, closing and opening as it watched with infinite patience. Infinite reason.

"Send forth Hakar; let the Blood Furies protect our borders"

"Aye My Lord" A Servitor bowed; its armored form rertreating through the corridors of Chronosian Power; as the Emperor chuckled softly. A new race violated the sacrosanct nature of their dominion. Let them come. They would know the Imperium; and they would learn the merit of respect

A flagship tore free from the warp; gleaming; two battle barges at it's side; hovering like bloodied angels at the border; awaiting the coming of the vast vessels. The Soulflayer had come; it's armored, spiked prow gleaming with the fires of sun's against sanguine obsidian; black and red coalescing upon it's surface; as though a sea of oil writhed with sinister flame.

Foreign vessels; you have violated the sanctity of the Imperium's borders. Identify yourselves; or by the Ruinous powers, we shall fire upon you. You have one Terran minute to comply. I repeat; Foreign vessels....

A surpise to the Commander. A large one at that. Though they could not understand the language...yet, the super-computers on board his Flagship decrypted it into understandable letters.

Reply:

We are the 755th Scouting Fleet of the Imperium of the Zenneth. Under the command of Emperor Markus Aranus, we are to scout the outer regions of our Galaxy to search for other sentient life. It appears we've found some.

Meanwhile...

Decius was also suprised, but not for finding intelligent life, but for the nerve the said life seemed to posses. A reply was sent post haste.

This is a Scouting fleet for the Zennethian Imperium, under the command of Captain Decius Candidius. Now that we have introduced our selves, it would be polite if you would do the same.

The king, having been informed of the fact that they'd encountered a new nation, had traveled to the primary comm center.

"So they're new to space, or at least new to meeting others." He commented to his new wife, "Appears so."

The comm officer sent a return message:
"If you are interested in meeting us, send a shuttle to the docking bay at (Insert co-ordinates)."

A long silence, than a simple "Very well." was sent.

A mid-level diplomat, as well as four soldiers to protect her were sent on the shuttle. The shuttle sped toward the docks, and arrived within the matter of a half hour. It began to descend slowly...

Bearcat. A name that strikes fear into the fleets of enemies. Bearcat. A class of ship that has been rendered invulnerable through its phychological effects on those that have encountered it before. Bearcat, all-purpose cruiser of the Stellar Kingdom. Bearcat, scout vessel of choice when pushing inot the bounds of known space.

Captain-Commander Gerald F. Scott, not a noteworthy name. Not a feared man, not even a particularily bright man, as far as Al-Imvad cruiser captains are concerned. But when you need somebody who knows how to follow teh book and make regular report he's your man. And when paired with daredevil young counterparts, he has proven to be capable of handling pretty much anything.

Deep space, far beyond the slowly spinning galactic disk of the Milky Way. Not particularily heavily populated, but its emptiness makes sensors nearly five thousand time moe efficient than the denser galactic space. And that is why when it comes time to hide a secret facility, it is necessary to place it farther out than most nations are willing to explore. And guarding a solitary Imvadjian secret weapons research facility far beyond the galactic disk, is a solitary Bearcat, with Captain-Commander Gerald F. Scott at the proverbial helm. Until something alerted his sensors to anincoming threat...

And they were alerted as well, but not for the same reasons. The Commander paced on the bridge until one of the Sailors alerted him.

"Sir, we've picked up an object on our sensors."

He walked over and peered over his shoulder.

"Could be anything, really. An Asteroid, or a comment. None the less...send out a sonic discharge...I want to make sure."

The Sailor nodded, and began typing in the code for the discharge. This discharge would cause no harm, but rather it would act sort of like a flair. Even the most primitive of computer consoles could detect it. The sailor typed in one last string of code, and a massive Discharge left the ship.

The sudden flare on the sensors of the Bearcat confirmed CptC G.F. Scott's suspicion that the approaching vessel was in fact an enemy warship, and not merely a research or exploratory vessel. In fact, he beleived it to be a weapon initially, as the sudden flare was akin to a flashbulb going off in a darkroom- temporarily blinding the cruiser. It was now certain that the research post had ben detected, though perhaps not identified.

And if the cruiser had not been seen before on the unknown craft's own sensors- entirely possible - it was certainly known now. With his attempt at a stealthy approach to the vessel foiled, it was time to power up weapon systems, targeting scanners, and sheilds. Though, to be fair since the enemy vessel was not recognized as belonging to a known spacefaring nation, it would only be fair to try to identify it before destroying whoever had been unlucky enough to stumble upon a top secret facility.

This is restricted space- all intruders are to be eliminated. State your identification and purpose for our records. You have 2 minutes and counting to comply.

Little did the command crew of the now beacon-like cruiser know that they were making first contact, though to be fair they were only following orders.
