Dealing With The Damned
"Sir, if we do not do something about the revolt on Greorack, we will lose our main garrison in that sector" said the Minister of Internal Affairs "And then we'll lsoe the entire sector to them."
"And the last thing we need is to give the Greortal confidence that it can succeed. But we cannot spare the ships, as most are currently dealing with fools on planets whose governors are too stupid to keep order properly. Now get out, I have an important meeting with them. And I don't need to tell you what happened to my predecessor" replied the Valdun, obviously anxious.
"Yes sir" said the minister, suddenly hoarse and pale "I'll be on my way" as he quickly got up and hurried out the door, and nearly immediately a menacing figure glided through, and the air became cold, the heater, installed for this event and used always on the first occasion like this, having no effect, as always. What a stupid joke to play on the green thought Jelze as he tried his best to take his mind off the meeting. The figure gazed at him with a fiendish sight, his hands covered by his robes and spoke with a heartless corruption "You, like your predecessors, are far too tolerant of the Siskra and the others. We have urged your officw before to remedy this, but you still fail to comply."
"How can I? The Siskra make up 60% of the population. You only make up 30%. The rest are the others. And you've been told before, the Siskra are tolerant, so there's no way to do what you're asking us to the others and blame it on them."
"It is most displeased with your opinion. But hear this: We are no longer forced to the shadows. We will take whatt we want through force if you fail to comply" as the figure leaned closer to the Valdun, causing all the color to drain from Jelzen's face.
"Fine. You shall have your demands. The Parliament shall make it law in the morning. But if this backfires, damn you to the foulest depths of the underworld!"
"That" said the figure turning to leave "has already been taken care of. Though it is not what you would think it is."

Alcalid Information Network
"Earlier today, the Religous Landscape Rennovation Bill was made law. The RLR law effectively outlaws all religions excluding the Siskra and the Cult. All violators will be punished, and punishments range from being jailed until conversion to deportation to being given. The reaction to this bill has been enourmous outrage, both from the outlawed groups and the main establishment of the Siskras, the 150th Council. The Greortal has been particularly vocal and reactionary in its respons, and has attacked the Imperial Civil Service Office in Zatarack. The governemtn will begin enforcing the law early tonight.'

The land around the city was quiet, despite the work of the Militia units busy preparing for the assault. The citizens had been foolish enough to harbor religous fugitives and openky defied the government. There was one suitable punishment for their treason: Death. It began with a rain of thunder as artillery shell pounded the city, and slaughtered hundreds. But then came the full assault. The armored divisons and troop transports poored into the city, firing at anyone in sight. The sound of machinguns drowned out the cries of widows, orphans, and the dying. It was a short slaughter. Soon all that could be heard was the sound of the Militia leaving, their brutal, but well-paid work, done.

Not What They wanted

Escalian Jop looked around, watching for anyone who might stroll through. Survelliance systems had been disabled, so all there was to fear was someone who saw the bomb he and Ferdat were planting.
"Alright it's set. Let's go now" said Ferdat as he pressed the final button the small device. They then pressed a small button on their comm devices, and an evacuation alarm sounded. They may not like the government, but there was no reason to kill innocents. They quickly ran out with the crowd, and stood back and watched as the bomb in the Imperial Identity Office detonated, reducing the top 3/4s of the building to rubble.

"Earlier today, the Greortal destroyed the Imperial Identity Office. The public has praised this action, and the government has responded by declaring martial law in all territories of the Alcalid Empire. The 150th Council has publiclly voiced its outrage."

Dr. Omeri Holip, Spokesperson for the 150th Council

"This is an outrage. The government exists to protect the people and their rights, but our government is doing the exact opposite of both. Something must be done about this hypocrisy against the order of civilization."

"So, are the preparations ready?" asked Greef
"Yes. We need only to wait for Admiral Valorsurt to get into position and it will begins" replied Opinot
"Under the pretext of a training exercise?"
"Yes. General Jalarck expects something, but they are ignoring him."
"Good" replied Greef as he stood up and surveyed the vast city from the main tower of the base "I despise this. For 25 years I served in the army, hunting down rogues and putting down Jelzjalzorvel insurrections, but now I am forced to turn against Alcalora to protect her. A shame really. I can only hope they don't force us to destroy it all. But enough of this. It's time to get ready."

The fleet glided silently through the dark waters, the lights the only source of illumination. The fog was thick, and a recon boat had already been lost in the night. But it was found, and another part of the great Alcalid Greorsurt was returned. The lead cruiser flashed a signal, repeated for the sake of the ships in the rear. They were in position.

The Inevitable Spark

AOS
"Earlier today a section of the military opened fire on government posessions. Valdun Jelz has stated that we are now in a civil war. Martial law has been declared in all posession of the Empire. Meanwhile a large number of Alcalid planets have sided with the revolutionaries.
"The leader of the revolutionaries has declared the reason is 'to end the oppresion of the 4th reaign.'"
