With the creation of the Aequatian Special Combat Applications Regiment, the Army was in need of a helicopter in which to perform many of the missions required of the unit's personnel. With the MH-6 Little Bird nor the Westland Lynx Mk.7, the decision was made to develop a helicopter within Aequatio to fulfill the roles required by the SCAR Operators.
Inspired by the British Westland Lynx Mk.7 and the American OH-58 Kiowa, the MH-10 Raven is capable of carrying up to six personnel depending on the configuration and can be mounted with a wide selection of weaponry ranging from light machineguns to anti-tank guided missiles.
The fuselage is constructed by a Bisplate frame with Aluminium skin with a Kevlar lining along the inside to protect against small arms fire up to and including 7.62mm rounds.
It's configurations include:
MH-10 "Raven" which is the standard utility configuration which is used in special operations missions and can hold six personnel inside and can have any light or general-purpose machinegun attached to door mountings for fire support. Crew consists of a pilot and co-pilot, two crewchiefs and up to six personnel.
OH-10 "Chief Raven" which is a C3I (Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence) helicopter that can be used by field commanders to direct their forces with communications to forward units while remaining safe from hostile fire. It includes additional communication and uplink equipment. Crew consists of a pilot and co-pilot and passenger capacity for two personnel.
AH-10 "War Raven" which is mounted with short wings with a hardpoint on each side of the fuselage where weapon mountings can be set, including 7.62mm Miniguns, 20mm Autocannons, 70mm Rockets, Hellfire, TOW2, HOT, Milan or AT-6 anti-tank missiles; Stinger, Starstreak, SA-7 or SA-18 anti-aircraft missiles. Crew consists of a pilot and co-pilot/weapons officer.
