Resistance of Sunder City (Open Character RP)

Concremo

OOC: Those of you more informed that others about Concremo might be asking the question 'Where the hell is Sunder City?'. In short, its a large city that the government officially ignores, and does not allow its position to be on any maps. This is because it was overlooked at the time of the Second Breaking, and by now it is infested with remnants of the Obadi Government battle against rebels, mercenaries or criminals currently on the run. They've dug themselves in pretty good, even got their hands on some tanks. The plot of the RP will be the retaking of the city by government forces, from the resistance's point of view. The characters should all die or defect, a twist that should get very interesting results. Maximum of three characters each, and i want the emphasis on that these are basically ordinary people with training and some guts. If you want in then your character(s) is/are part of Anna's team, instructed to infiltrate the Obadi stronghold.

IC:

Human Resource 879-767-865CW. Thats all she was to those scum, a number on a long list of uncaptured criminals, known terrorists or mercenaries who'd stayed in Concremo too long. And that's what worried her, since the reformation of both the army and police force that list had been growing thin. Sunder City was her home, her life. She had come here as a baby when the Capital was nuked in the Second Breaking. Her father killed by Obadi Hunters a month before her birth, and her mother gunned down, unarmed, in the street by an Obadi footsoldier.

Those scum were worse than the Grand Liraton government who were in power now, making their totalitarian nature seem like communism in comparison. She had been made an orphan of war by their hands, and the debt would be repaid in blood. They held the East side of the city without competition, the central-running river was a mere trickle now they'd blocked it up and built a high wall on the far bank. The West side was owned by the Mafia, who let strangers come and go as they please for a small cut of what they were here for. Mercenaries mostly, wannabe-heroes were always scaping together their funds to have a crack at the Obadi stronghold.

But they were not the only ones to leave their half, the Remnant would frequently raid the West for supplies and weapons, sometimes even slaves. Salvaged air-raid sirens would ring out when their gate opened, and anyone with a gun would form a mob in the Square. Though brave, an Obadi assault had only ever been held off when Altman had united the West under one banner. Joseph Altman, her grandfather.

Anna was a warrior to the core, and it would be proved time and time again. Trained at her grandfathers instruction by the best mercenaries that came to the Airport. She knew what she was doing, and this was made evident by her survival so far.

She laid the map out in front of her, a map of the city that was clearly a few years old. A large, jagged red line led from one side to the other. The Sunder City Sewage Network.

"Right, we good to go?" She asked

A few weeks earlier....

The shore of Concremo was being gently lapped by the waves, the setting sun was painting the sky with a dim red, and the trees rustled gently in the breeze...

The Shoreline of Concremo wasn't pretty, it was more functional.. designed to hamper attacks, sheer cliff faces, and almost impassible terrain dotted the coast, wether it was natural or made so on purpose was another matter...

there was a strange sound comming from the point where the water cascades with the sand... a scraping noise, like sand paper against metal.... each time a wave crashed, there was another scraping noise...

If anyone had been permitted onto the beach at this time, would have found the Injured and unconcious body of one of the Kravens Capitol Police troopers, some form of conflict must of happend along the Coasts of Kraven held territory and his body drifted here after falling into the water...

Some would think, that the Protect gear would weigh him down enough, to sink him like a stone, but it was not the case, Protect gear was incredibly light for its strength as a Capitol Police trooper needed to be able to run and effectivly fight without being weighed down by bulky armour....

his body was being pushed up against the shore again and again... when a party of people, began walking down the beach...

It was Anna, and her assistants... either they knew that the body was here, or they were checking the terrain, as presumably it was near enough the same all around the coast line....

"Whats that?" some one asked...

"I don't know..."

"looks like a body..."

"You.. Go check it out"

Anna spoke, ordering one of the Soldiers present to go and check out whatever was lying on the shore...

The man approached...

"It's a body alright... I think" he said while kicking it over...

"Yeah its one of those Capitol Police Troopers that The Corporation is always waving around.."

"Check him out...." Anna spoke...

The man unclipped the gaskmask from the back of the helmet, and slid it off slowly... there was a hissing sound as the pipes disconnected from the scrubbers, slowly the man revealed for the first time, what a Capitol Police trooper looked like....

the man caught his breath.... it was a human just like him... Not some automated machine, it was just a man... but how could a man like him do the things he'd heard about?... quickly he placed to fingers against the now exposed neck of the CP trooper.... there was a pulse... faint... but he was still alive!...

"He's Still alive"

"He?"

"Quick.. Get Medical help..."

"You heard him... " Anna Shouted at the people around her...

He looked down at the Troopers armour, 3 grey letters were stamped on the brest plate.. followed by a 3 digit code....

"THX 421" he thought to himself... still shocked that this thing, was a man... just like him....

Ersin, Mosovich, and Meuller, all mercenaries, all three defenders of the still-paying Obadi government, and all three the only survivors of their company, now they stood watch on the outskirts, what they were watching for was beyond them, any attack would be readily visible from a goodly distance away, making outposts like this one of little utility.

Anna looked at the Ex-Capitol Police trooper, and began to see more than the emotionless killing machine that the Kraven Corporation continually gave the impression of. The helmet had been abandoned on the beach, to much damage to the optics and structure for it to be of any use.

THX-421. Stencilled defiantly on the chest plate, it was the only clue to the man's identity. Anna knew that there was nothing more to his identity than that, he had no name, no family, not even a discernible age. They may have been living in a warzone, but it was hard to ignore the atrocities of the Kraven Corporation.

"You'll need a new set of armour, there'll be a riot if the people see you in that thing. And a name, we cant let anyone know that you were in the Capitol Police." She said, pointing him towards a rack of badly repaired Civil Guardian Riot Forces Uniforms. She turned to another member of the team.

"Mason, any word on the mercenary situation?"
"Yeah, and it aint too good. 'Part from this guy here we got nobody." he said, indicating a man leaning against a far wall, dressed in a black-painted IBPS.
"Any word on who the Obadi are hiring?"
"Not officially, but Errods spotted two or three guys in non-Obadi uniform on the outskirts. Also we think that the Obadi are restarting the Death Corps."
Anna swore, and her head sank into her hands. This is what they'd all feared, the return of those monsters. Each and every one of them driven insane by their demanding training, their minds were continually reformed and broken to push them beyond humanity. Super human in body too, they would weild barely portable machine guns and crude melee weapons to breach the enemy defences and go berserk once inside.

"In that case, see if we can buy those guys out. We need all the help we can get, and if crippling the Obadi while we get it is the best way, its a bonus."

Mason nodded, before prepping a shotgun. It would fire a canister with the message inside, a crude yet somewhat effective method of messaging.

Mercenaries,
State your current contract to those scum and we shall double it. The time is very near, and you would be well advised to join us.
