Yesterday afternoon, The Military of THL Announced it's intention to expand it's Military from it's current size of 250K to over 750k Personel. It was stated that the main personnel additions would be to the Air Force and the Navy, but ground forces would still receive a considerable boost in size.

It was also stated that the additions would not be added through conscription, but rather by adding more recruiting stations to major towns, putting stations in small towns, TV and Radio advertising, and by expanding Military benefits. The process of upsizing the Military will take an estimated four to six years.

Message from Force Commander James Ackvick, Militia Enforced State: "We have noted your increase in your military's size. We are willing to start contracts with you to build new weapons systems to help equip the new members of your force. We would also like to create an embasy in your country."

We assure you it is not. We are expanding are Forces simply because it is inpractical to defend over 1 Billion people with just Two hundred thousand soldiers.

We accept both offers, and will begin setting aside land for your Embassy in our Capital.

As an ally of the THL, Jenrak would like to send over a small contigent of soldiers, whenever needed to help train their forces in hit-and-run scenarios, as we excel in them. We require no cost. We are, after all allies.

The Democratic Colonies applauds this latest undertaking by the Queendom of Tree Hugging Lesbians. The Colonial Government believes that this new initiative will serve to further protect the civil rights of THL, a valued ally of the Colonies.

The Democratic Colonies, wishing to offer whatever assistance it can to The Queendom as it begins this monumentous task, would like to make the modest and respectful offer to open the doors of Colonial military institutions to the new soldiers, sailors and aviators that will be recruited in this new THL initiative.

20,000 trainees per year, should The Queendom accept this offer, could recieve training at some of the state of the art facilities that train the servicemembers of the Democratic Colonies:


- The Army Combined Ground Combat School at Redcoat, which can train capable, professional, and disciplined infantry and armoured personel able to enage in combat, peacekeeping, or humanitarian operations in any environment. It is important to note that the Colonial Army teaches with the doctrine of "Every Rifleman a Marksman" in regards to infantry forces. All infantry rifleman will be trained to be proficent marksman, able to accurately defeat targets at long range with single rounds, without having to resort to the massive volumes of fire needed for the "Supress and Advance" tactics used by some other nations.

- The Army Special Urban Combat School at Hessingdale, which can impart a further understanding of the skills needed for effective urban warfare to both infantry and armoured personel, while also stressing techniques through which collateral damage can be minimized and effective Close Quarter Battle manuvers utilized.

- The Army Airbourne Training Centre at Passchendale, which can train infantry and armoured personel in the skills needed to perform as effective paratroopers and airmobile forces.

- The Joint Services Peacekeeping Academy, which can further train infantry and armoured personel in the areas of peacekeeping, crowd control, disaster relief, humanitarian operations, police functions, and conflict resolution.

- The Combined Colonial Naval Academy, a massive, sprawling facility that can train personel from all disciplines in what is needed for the operation of a modern deep water navy. Featuring two Iowa Class Battleships and two Nimitz Class Aircraft Carriers as training vessels, the Naval Academy is able to provide trainees with a practical, real world training experience that allows them to perform training operations with real vessels. Officers and enlisted personel alike attend the Naval Academy, as it offers training in every area from Command and Advanced Naval Tactics, to Air Combat Manuvering, to Nuclear Engineering, to Advanced Computer Sciences. The Combined Colonial Naval Academy is the largest single military training facility in the Democratic Colonies, as it trains every sailor and naval aviator to enter the ranks of the Colonial Navy.



While the DC Military is not the most renowned in the world, it prides itself on its consistant professionalism, discipline, and competence in all areas, as well as a dedicated excellence in peacekeeping and humanitarian duties.

The training recieved at Colonial military institutions not only teaches combat skills, but stresses the responsibilities that a serviceperson has to one's self, one's unit, one's nation, and most importantly, to the ideals and duties inherent in one's uniform. At every turn in a man or woman's training, the ideals of personal honor, responsibility and duty is empathized as something of paramount importance. It is taught that compassion and mercy are important part of a soldier's duties, and that to act in manner that would constitute the betrayal of the ideals represented in one's uniform is the most foul of failures one can experience.

The Democratic Colonies has always valued the relationship between itself and THL, and has appriciated the actions that it has taken to accomodate the Colonies in the past. It is the hope of the Colonial Government that this offer as accepted, as it would benefit the Queendom of Tree Hugging Lesbians greatly.

We also are willing to offer your nation $2 trillion to fund your military - no need to repay it! The only thing we would require in return: The ability to build six military bases on your land at the locations of our choice, and use your nation as a refueling/launching pad during wartime.

We applaud your decision to increase your military spending. In the world of today one must be warry of all neighbors around them. You never know who you can or cannot trust. With permission, The Marine Corps of the Pure Socialist Holy Empire of Shazbotdom will dispatch a contingent of 10 "Black Ops" Special Forces to train any and all new military personell in the multitude of different hand to hand combat techniques from thoughout the world and a few that the Pure Socialist Holy Empire has created themselves.

If we recieve permission, they will be sent on an AC-02 Pelican small-scale and long range transport aircraft to a location that you specify to us via telegram or any other form of communication.

We will send the SpecOps troops over when our current miltary situation is over. We have had several unwanted attacks upon our nation from a terrorist nation. We currently have a full military lockdown until the peace talks are completed or when we feel that the terrorist nation is no longer a threat to the Pure Socialist Holy Empire. This may take anywhere from a few days to a week or two. Please note this is not a message stating our inability to train your troops, but a security measure.
