The Largest Find in a Hundred Years, the Greatest Massacre in a Thousand

OOC: I know my reason isn't exactly the 'best' reason for slaughter, but I find it something Jenrak would do. Condemnations and congratulations welcomed.

IC:
The Commencement Tower, Atop the Mountain Aial
It was dark, only the broken of dawn, but quiet and still it was yet, the breeze so soft from the edges of the mind, the branches scratching on the thin window panes, as inside it’s bleak oak halls was a force of throbbing steel, as feet clanged along it’s innards, small noises of beeping and tiny rumbling heard, beneath closed stone doors and grinding iron gears. For it wash here, that everything happened in Jenrak the way it does; that every oppression, every single little flick of the execution, it is supported through this complex, that stood so alone on the tip of the frosty fingers of Mount Aial, the mountain of sandy ice. Perhaps it was the mountain that did it, or perhaps the greed that blinded their vision, but it was apparent that something had caught their eye; something that did not shine with glimmer, or did so when found, but not now. It was blipping brightly on the black liquid crystal displayed port of the computers; a massive, red toned, ringing that did not stop nor did it wane at all costs. The headcaster, a tall and lanky man with a soft face and a rubbery beard, approached the boy who sat in the seat, watching it as it pulsed and pulsed like a beating heart in the ground, the sand throbbing up as it pushed the blood of wealth into their bodies, etched the memory of riches into their minds.

Peering once more, as if to confirm this unbelievable find, he turned to the boy and commanded, “Bring the economists,” with a strong and yet silky lustre in his voice; he sounded like a woman, but not exactly so, yet he seemed not to be like a man. “We need to show them this.” He continued, as the boy nodded in assurance and dialled in a series of numbers on the nearby telephone, then typing in a series of keys in his keyboard. They now waited, and waited, and it felt forever that finally a group of three elderly but wise-looking men emerged from the ends of the metal hallway, people skittering about like cockroaches.

As they reached and hobbled up the steps, they finally reached the headcaster, their eyes dwelling on the flaring red signal on the screen. “What is it?” One of them said, whom all seem to be identical, save for their wispy eye colours.

“What is that?” Another pointed to the signal, still beeping like there was no tomorrow.

“That…” The headcaster said, standing to full height to circle around the economists, like a preying vulture who waited for the prey to fall dead, ready to feast upon it’s body. However, in this instance, the headcaster waited for the unusual silence; the quiet click of the death of noise. “…is the largest gold deposit seen in nearly a century. It rivals the Gettysburg Gold Mine, and the output for it is calculated at hundreds of tons – raw.” He added, as the excited economists whispered and chattered, until turning back to him.

“What is your purpose of summoning us, then?” One of them said, as the others nodded in agreement.

“Because the town of Delisk is situated right on the very top of this deposit, and their stone houses.” The headcaster added.

“Stone? Then how will we move them?”

“I will ask them to move. But what should happen, do you men think, if they refuse?”

“Ask Drakthaz. Relay this information to him.”

Ouridna, the headquarters of the Commerce Lords

Walking with uncertainty staining his shoulders, nervousness carried with weight upon his back, Drakthaz walked slowly into the large dome-like glass room, as snobby glassed old men in suits, cankerous stenches and loud hacking coughs filled the room. There were no windows for ventilation, and the lights dancing off the glass walls and ceiling make it worse, as it strained and damaged the eyes, but a quickly placed pair of sunglasses worked well. Why was it a glass dome? Many people would ask that, but the explanation would come very soon.

As Drakthaz in his stunning blue suit emerged onto the podium, he flicked two fingers around and pointed to the door, where the lights turned off immediately, and a series of heavily titled lasers danced around the walls, a giant plastic sheet emerging from the ceiling. “If you gentlemen will turn your heads up, we will begin this commencement.” He flicked his fingers again, and the sheet tilted down into a vertical stance, a video flickering onto the screen. It showed a small mountainous area, as dense forests trickled around it, green stalks rising up as a small fog crept throughout the branches. “This, is the town of Delisk. As of a few months ago,” He pressed a small blue button on the podium, and the picture switched to a pair of people walking down the street, holding hands as the shops were all bearing the Open sign in heavy thick red. He continued, “it’s inhabited by nearly 25,000 people, netting into around 23.4 million dollars.” He flicked it again.

Now it showed the familiar red pulsing dot, but it was only a still image this time, yet the reverberation stayed. “This, is what lies under Delisk’s grounds. They do not know yet, and they will not move.” He flicked the pictures around, pressing the button rapidly until he reached the chart. A small red dot was placed down at the bottom, as a larger blue dot rocketing up towards the top of the graph. With curiosity, one of the members raised his chubby little hand.

“Yes?” Drakthaz pointed to the man.

“What is that?” The man asked, a voice coarse, as if he was cursed with a dry throat.

“That is the profit comparison. Yearly, the business and labour revenues from Delisk amount to 23.4 million dollars. Last year, it projected to 38.4 million dollars. This gold mine,” He flicked back to the shining red dot in the middle of the black radar, “is projected to last 8 years, totalling to 4.2 billion dollars per year. In it’s eight years, it will outlast Delisk by over a century.”

“Then open a mine.” One of them said, as the others murmured in agreement again.

“I can’t, the people are there. We can’t get them to move, and there have been protests.” The silence was overpowering, the quietness disturbing to them, as not even a chirp of curiosity or defiance was heard, as they shuffled around in their seats, uncomfortably, but still they did not make a single noise. Suddenly, one of them offered an idea.

“Enslave them.” They said, as the others nodded, the sound rising up once more.

“We cannot. The training for this type of mine is too expensive, and in the long term we will simply lose more money training them than simply sending in people who are familiar with the equipment.” The silence fell upon them once more, and the Commerce members knew they were defeated again. Once more, after a small while, another piped up in his tiny little voice.

“Kill them all.” He said, and the others nodded in agreement once more, almost as blatantly vague as the first suggestion, but this time; it had merit. Drakthaz nodded in thoughtful agreement.

“Seems the most logical. Alright. I’m in favour of this movement. All in favour?” He raised his hand, as everybody else raised their hands, without a single protest. Everybody knew what would happen to people who did not follow the laws of the Commerce Lord; that their body winds up in the river, floating amongst the other corpses, rotting as the acid from the lake’s metal devour them slowly, piece by piece. Flies would rot and maggots float on the island of flesh, and they would remain no more. Arcarum would always take their side, as long as he sees profit, not loss. That was the Jenrakian way – seek the profit.

“Then it will be done tomorrow.” Drakthaz finalised, as the members shuffled out of their chairs, and walked out of the dome conference room.

Delisk, 6:12 AM
It was only the dawn of sunrise, only the brink of the light piercing over the mountains, over the watery lake as the town did not yet awaken from it’s slumber, people still perched in their houses, sleeping peacefully in their beds. The civilians only slept so quietly, and the soldiers lurking in the woods waited with swift motion from their commanders: clad policemen in blue uniform, a gold sabre hanging from their hilts. A quick slip into the shadows of the new risen sun, and the dew flickering off the grass as the moist air felt a cold tiny chill, frost licking the ends of the blades.

Nobody said anything, nobody attempted to. Only the soft pattering of the quiet feet in the mud, as a brown haired woman with hypnotic eyes and a lithe form climbed atop the lamppost in city hall, leaping onto the end of the balcony, climbing up the leering gargoyle and throwing herself onto the stone roof. Running a few paces, hearing the crackling of the beige shingles, she stood still, as a tired figure emerged from the nearby house, and reached down for his coffee. Looking up, he saw the woman crouching still atop the roof, and before he could let loose a blur of curiosity in the quiet dawn, a bullet ripped through the back of his neck, as blood fell down into a murky puddle, mixed with the mud, and the corpse laid in the concrete road, still silent and soft.

A few more paces, a few steps, and finally Denise took out her bomb, and strapped it onto the roof, before getting up and running across the roof towards the statue of the gargoyle, still leering, once more. Taking out a small communicator, she whispered softly into it. “Everything’s alright. Go!” She said, climbing down the statue, and running into an alleyway, disappearing into the forest.

From the edges of the thick, warty trees, the soldiers grumbled in boredom, waiting for their superiors to emerge from the town, nodding their heads in approval. Immediately, as they began to complain, the assassin-like sword bearers nodded, all of them in their secret hiding spots, pressing a small beeping red remote, as a giant burst of fire and explosions engulfed the inner parts of the tiny town. “Go.” They would urge onto the soldiers, now grinning in not of a sadistic pleasure, but in a great fit that broke their boredom. They had marched on, out of the forest and into the gravelled trail, pass the wooden signs and finally towards the stony city. Rubble and garbage littered the outer parts of the city, as they crept along inwards, but then blood and bodies were the decoration of the inner parts of Delisk. Huddled families would beg at their mercy, but the only reply would be the soft, slick propulsion from the heated barrels of the rifles. Wading through crusted flesh and blood, like a dark red mud, they trenched and trenched through rotting bodies, trekking through corpses that had already attracted flies and rats, coming to feast on the remains of the civilians of Delisk.

“Oi! This one’s making a run for it!” A soldier yelled, as a small girl emerged from the bodies of her family, and made a break for the exit of the streets. A quick emission of rifles from the soldiers unloaded nearly a bucketful of lead into her back, as she fell down in pain and the blood oozing out from her body. Another one had made another break, foolishly running in the same direction, only to be sliced down by a passer by Sword-bearer, the blood splashing all over his face, as he licked his lips in greed and thirst, smiling with an insane smile on his face. Again, another noise was heard, but it was from the soft cry of a baby in the ashes.

Denise lifted her hand, and the soldiers stood in uniform, in discipline, waiting for her reply. She knelt down nearby, and scooped the small bundle of robes out of it’s crying wimp, and she held it deftly to her breast. “You are a small thing, only seen such things in the world.” She said, as it did not even open it’s eyes, and softened down as it tired. “Hmm. I’m adopting this child.” She said, turning around to her men. With a groan, they lifted out their hands, and she gave the child reluctantly to them. “If anything happens to that child, I will make sure whoever is the last to see it killed.” She heard another cry of terror, of fright from another baby in the ashes, but she did not go to comfort it. “I already have now a child. I have no need for another.” She turned her back on the sound, as it was slowly deafened, as the flames raged around.

“Let’s keep going.” Denise commanded, her soldiers walking along with her, another explosion erupting the other side of the city. Occasionally, they found a huddle group of people, begging for their lives, but as they would be picked up, they would be instantly gunned down, and the group would move on. Now and then, the people fought, and although they fought bravely, only one soldier was killed; impaled on a steel sheet as he reeled back from a surprised ambush. As they walked, until noon, it seemed, they finally sat down, for a break, and Denise radioed the command at Aial. It was not a long message, nor one that is overbearing, but it short, simple, easily comprehended.

“Delisk is cleansed. The Mine can be built now.”

The Government of Kahanistan condemns this brutal act of capitalistic greed and savagery. We have long held that capitalism only leads to suffering of the masses, now you have proven it. We are deploying forces to ensure that such atrocities never take place again.

Jenrak will do what is needed and required to maintain a growth, and if it is needed to wipe a city of it's inhabitants, then so be it, only to make a profit. Perhaps you should bring your forces to other nations, who attempt genocide without a single lick of economic strength coming to them. At least we have a goal in our attacks.

To: Lord of Commerce, Drakthaz

We have just fought a war with a genocidal psychotic dictator. In fact, one of our officers held off thousands of fanatics for hours with only a few hundred troops in an ill-advised engagement before being forced to surrender. And hundreds of thousands of troops will be deployed by airship to do battle with your forces, should you make any ill-gained profits from the deaths of thousands of innocents.

I will personally command the first wave of troops in the attack. I warn you that our state of the art Al-Haraam class heavy assault cruisers are capable of carrying immense destructive power, and four of them are mobilizing, as well as 20 Uranus-class airships. For every billion racist shekels (1.8 billion USD) you "earn" from the blood of innocents, one Jenrak military base will be shelled with our warships from above.

OOC: PMT actually, airships have historically been experimented with (Zeppelins) and found too vulnerable but what I'm envisioning is a warship nearly 200,000 tons with nuclear engines for propulsion and heavy armor. It's got some advanced weaponry (phasers and the like) but it shouldn't be too much for a modern tech nation, given that I only have 20 of them and four run of the mill battle cruisers.

And there are many things that can be tapped with our regard for human life and our righteous outrage that lives can be thrown away so casually. We have formed alliances with many powers in our previous campaigns against the wicked, and we have no reason to doubt that they will abandon us.
Defense Minister Abu Sultan al-Qahiri

Aboard the Al-Haraam class warship RKS Ash-Shirk, Defense Minister al-Qahiri took his fleet to the nearest water position to a Jenrak base. The other three Al-Haraam class warships, Al-Moloch, An-Najis, and Al-Hubal, each weighing half a megaton, raised their huge disruptor cannons and targeted the base.

The Defense Minister summoned his composure, then stared grimly ahead. "So much for the capitalist filth... Open fire!"

The four warships spewed forth enough disruptor fire on the base to partially obscure the sky in the vicinity. Green bolts of energy arced from the fleet, striking the base. The base returned fire with its Raptor missiles, several of them hitting the ships. The Al-Moloch took four hits below its water line and began to sink. It kept firing while most of the troops scrambled for the other ships. A few swam ashore, wearing the full combat gear of the Kahanistan Imperial Marines. They were promptly killed by the next Raptor to hit them. The An-Najis moved in to cover the Al-Moloch while it fired and evacuated, and it was itself taking several Raptors, luckily mostly above the water line, as it fired.

Meanwhile, the other fleet, composed of smaller Uranus-class airships, commanded by Admiral Aurelius Julius Magnus, approached the ruins of Delisk. Admiral Magnus himself spoke through a high-tech megaphone to the workers (OOC: slaves?) constructing the mine.

"I am Admiral Aurelius Julius Magnus of the Kahanistan Navy. The mine you work on is built on the city of Delisk, destroyed by your government to make a quick dollar. You are free now, to do as you wish. We will protect you as you flee, should you choose to do so. If not, that is your choice, but know that you are in the employ of murderers and filthy capitalist beasts, who place a higher value on the Almighty Dollar than on the human life."

He waited to see how the construction workers would respond. Would they take their freedom and dignity, or prostitute themselves to the same evil capitalistic ideologies that had slaughtered their compatriots?

04-10-2005, 02:03
OOC: I might be out of sync here, but I believe I'm Modern Tech. I don't think green bolts of energy will be what I RP against when I'm at that tech. I can always up my tech level, if you want, but first, how would you get through my water mines, The Arguns, The Archios Wall, the Mountains of Delisk, and my army?

"Colonel, it's official. Jenrak has been attacked by Kahanistan."

Colonel Roy Dadric grimaced, and set down his magazine.

"Get on the phone with the Jenrakan ambassador, or whatever they're called, and tell them that we're offering military aid in this conflict. Prep three Legions and send them to Jenrak on my signal."

The captain who had brought him the news saluted smartly and left, on his way to carry out his orders. The Colonel sighed. Well, I guess I'm not going to have time to get any painting done tonight...
Kahanistan
04-10-2005, 02:20
OOC: I don't remember hearing about the Arguns, but I was deploying airships. The ones that fired on your base are not airships, but heavily armored capital ships weighing half a megaton that can take several mine hits and missiles before they start taking on water. The fleet that appeared over the mine and exhorted the workers (slaves?) to revolt were airships though. The ships (both kinds, the lighter 200KT airships and the larger 500KT capships) can also deploy armored fighting vehicles and Marines / Republic Guards (infantry) if they need to. You could RP counterattacking my big ships shooting up your base, or moving troops into Delisk to stop any attempt my forces might make to land and liberate the people... It's really up to you what you want to do with me.

To make matters clearer: I was deploying four heavy naval vessels (armed with disruptor cannons. The main advantage of the disruptors vis-a-vis missiles is not so much power at my tech level, but not having to carry around munitions that could blow up my ship, and having more space for engines, troops, weapons, etc.) to attack your base, and 20 armored airships to Delisk to incite the mine workers to revolt by revealing the truth of the atrocities. Both classes of ships use the disruptors, but the Delisk fleet is unlikely to fire and risk killing the workers. They're more likely, if they attempt anything, to try to land ground troops / walkers to arm the workers and incite them.
Jenrak
04-10-2005, 02:26
OOC: What are disruptor cannons? I'm not familiar with them. I'm a pure MT player, and I sometimes cross into the PMT scale. I usually don't play at the MT vs PMT tech, but if you want, I can cross into PMT territory. I can't promise anything (because I'm not good at PMT), but if you want, I'll change to PMT for this thread, but you'll have to change your initial attack post.

Dear Jenrak,
We are glad to hear of this gold deposit, which may grant you great wealth. We hope it does so. Those Kahanistan fools think they can attack you and get away with it? Imposible. We spit at the gorund in front of them. We are sending a fleet consisting of 20 helicopters, all holding missles along with 200 of our Spec Ops. Be advised, however, if you attack us as Farmina had done, you WILL lose many men, and the mine shall collasp(sp?). But let us not think of that, and think of your great victory.

We thank Quere for their aid, and we would like to note that perhaps economic stability may be applied to both of our nations once this is done. Twenty helicoptors with missles, ammo, and 10 men each soared into Jenrak airspace. In two hours, they would reach Delisk.

04-10-2005, 02:45
OOC: The best way I could describe disruptors to those who aren't PMT/FT is basically they're energy weapons. My initial attack post, IIRC, merely has four large ships firing them on a base, doing no more damage than a missile barrage would have (you still have to be the one to determine the losses. For all I know, the base is made of pure unobtainium and totally automated.) The airships haven't fired one shot. They're just trying to get the populace to revolt. If you'd like, I could concoct some half-assed reason for my forces to temporarily withdraw or simply hold their positions while I bring in allies who are more familiar with RPing your tech level and see how they handle you.

IC: The fleet above the mining complex received no response after 12 hours. Disgusted, Admiral Magnus ordered his airship fleet to withdraw to the Kahanistan border. They would have to go back with Walkers.

IC:

A transmission was sent to the helicopters, who have claimed themselves to be benign. Immediately, it was replied by Ashili Darkholme, the leader of the Airforce. "Commander Juy, please bring your forces to Erges, for checking. We have to make sure you're not a spy."

Ashili stood atop the watchtower, her glistening red hair only in the fragmenting contrast, her beauty shuttered behind thick glass, as a trio of heavily armoured and bulky men emerged to meet the aiding forces, the one in the center a smaller, more silent type, it seemed. However, as he got closer, his voice got louder, and his passion behind the words came to life, like a breathing conviction. "I am Saerus Annirak," he held out his hand, and he spoke in a heavy Jenrakian accent, "I am in charge of the Lancers, elite raiding parties of the Infantry Force. Your helicopters will be temporarily searched, for any hostile items against us, and should they find anything, we will promptly ask the nature of your items."

"If we find nothing or particular out-of-sync unusuality, we will go to the command bunker below the port, where the next move of defense will be discussed. Is that fair?"

04-10-2005, 03:17

The Argos transport thunderbirds roared towards their destination, pilots staying alert, keeping an eye out for enemy aircraft. Their speed was undeniable, as was their armor and armament. Indeed, they were almost flying tanks. Still, if something managed to catch them fully loaded like this, they weren't maneuverable enough to evade pursuit for long.

Staring out the window, Captain Jordan Antioch watched the desolate terrain below sweep pass. Turning back to his weapon, he finished cleaning the barrel on his HVAR Alpha. Snapping it back in place, he turned to his squad.

"Right men, we're almost to the LZ. Intel is spotty, but it may very well be hot. We'll be going in fast, with the T-Birds dropping to a yard above the ground before we jump. Make sure your suit is buckled up, and that your NBC kit is sealed. SAVVY?"

"SIR, YES SIR!"

"Good! Pilot tells me we're on the LZ. MOVE OUT!"

With finely tuned precision, the heavily armed and heavily armored Otagian riflemen slammed to the ground beside the Thunderbird. With a deafening roar, the vectored thrust engines of the T-Bird roared into full gear, launching the aircraft back into the sky.

Rising from his tripod stance, Antioch gazed about impassively. His men were establishing a perimeter, and their LZ would soon be ready for the second wave. With the empty T-birds pulling air support, the next few waves would be protected well enough. Smiling beneath his helmet, Jordan Antioch turned, helping to clear the area.

This barbaric act is inexcusable. I hearby call all nations of similar ways of thinking, and think of positive human rights, to denounce this crime against humanity! We must stand for those who can't!"

He stops for a moment. "We at Militia Enforced State will be mobilising our forces again, to use against this horrific government, to stop this tyrany, permanently! Citizens of Jenrak, we have heard your call, that you are too afraid, for good reason, to make!"

"Citizens of Militia Enforced State, we are all proud of your sacrifices you have made in keeping world peace, to bring freedom to those who are not. Sadly, I must ask you all to go again. Be strong! You have done well! We have overthrown a psychotic dictator! We have protected one of our allies from an invasion force from multiple countries! And we have stopped a civil war dead in its tracks, keeping their true government in power!"

"We will be mobilising twelve million troops, rotated out of the reserves, so the war-weary can return. Good night Militia Enforced State. Be strong."

The camera feed stops. Ackvick sighs. Once we can get our fleet and forces out of Farmina...

In the office of the Deputy Defense Minister, General Abu Hamza al-Aziz

General al-Aziz conferred with two other generals, Mohammed bin Abd al-Karim al-Risham and Iosif N. Malakov.

General Malakov, commander of the 17th Republic Guards, suggested that he be allowed to take his entire division of 50,000 troops into Delisk and destroy the mining complex.

"No," said al-Aziz. "Walkers can't get over those mountains any more easily than older armored vehicles, like tanks, could. We'll have to go in on foot. I'll have the 19th Mechanized Infantry, Imperial Marines, go to Delisk. The soldiers will have to traverse the mountains on foot, but at least the mechanized troops can get there faster than Walkers. General al-Risham will command." Al-Risham nodded. "As for you, Malakov... The four ships we sent to bomb one of their bases are in trouble. We got a distress call. Our Defense Minister feels so strongly about Jenrak's atrocities he is personally commanding that fleet. Your troops will follow the coastline on their Walkers. Al-Qahiri's fleet didn't bring enough marines for an offshore landing, they expected their ships' armor to offer more protection against the counter-fire of the base, and wasn't expecting water mines. Once you get there, Al-Qahiri's marines will join you."

The two men saluted al-Aziz and left. He then called in a third general.

"General Marcellus Valens?" he asked. The tall man towering over al-Aziz nodded. "General, you will command the 11th Air Force. 3,000 MH-181 fighters will be made available to you. There will be two major elements of our forces to attack Jenrak. One fork will head to the beach to help us secure a beachhead and then head for the capital. The other will liberate the Delisk Mines and inform the people of the mine's true origins, hopefully inciting them to revolt. Admiral Magnus had little luck with them via airship, we hope a ground presence will make things smoother."

General Valens saluted and left.

General al-Aziz sat back at his desk and opened his top left drawer. Protecting human rights can be so tiring, he thought. He took out a large bottle of pure alcohol, and placed the bottle to his lips and drank long and deep. After polishing off the entire bottle, he leaned forward and passed out.

Dealing with citizens that have commited an act of treason against ones own nation is a matter to be settled internally. Not something for other countries to meddle in. You don't believe in the death penalty? Fine. But you have no right to tell what others can believe and do. Treat this as an official condemnation of aggression against Jenrak.

To: All Nations Involved
From: Emporer Galen Q. Leotardia

If the Nation of Kahanistan sets any troops onto Jenrak controlled territory, the Pure Socialist Holy Empire will retaliate, landing millions of troops onto any and all territory controlled by the Nation of Kahanistan. We are also preparing our SuperSonic Cruise Missiles to be fired at anything, owend by Kahanistan, that comes close to the shipping lanes within Shazbotdom controlled waters. Although we do not agree with what Jenrak is doing, we are sick of nations dictating internal policy to other nations. Unless Kahanistan retracts all their equipment, we will intervene.

Dear , all rivaling countries,
Please, Jenrak has chosen to do this. While I do not agree, I am only helping them because it is right. Not right to kill citizens who so loyalty pay them through taxesand such, but because Jenrak sees it right. We do not wish to offend any nations through our actions.

A soldier with a sniper rifle ran up to Juy. "Sir." He saluted. "We, the 3rd Sniper Squad wish to go over to those mountains," he pointed off to the side, close to Dirlst(sorry, sp), "and wish to keep a watch. If the kind Commander," he mentioned to (forgot his name, so sorry!), "would like to have us checked and send troops with us, we would gladly concur. We just wish to warm up, as it will be needed."

"Sure, if -other commander's name- agrees, I agree."

Defense Headquarters in Najaster, Capital of Kahanistan
Office of Deputy Defense Minister General Abu Hamza al-Aziz

General al-Aziz read the communique. He furled his brow in outrage. This wasn't about the death penalty, though Kahanistan had abandoned it in 2071. This was about the right of people who had committed no crime not to be murdered so their city could be turned into a gold mine. That was the epitome of capitalistic decadence. Kahanistan had made moves toward capitalism, but all that was necessary for survival was produced by the government in quantities sufficient for the survival of the population, and businesses were heavily regulated to keep them from getting too greedy. The most accurate descriptor of the Kahanistanian economy would have been "mixed state and private sectors."

He called the space facility in Al-Qamar, on the eastern end of Kahanistan. Major Todd M. Garrett answered the phone.

"Major Garrett, Kahanistan Republic Guards, Al-Qamar Space Facility."

"Major, this is Deputy Minister of Defense Abu Hamza al-Aziz. Is Project Malleus complete?"

"It is, General."

"Very well. We have been threatened by Shazbotdom. They want to fight us because we won't tolerate Jenrak's horrific and capitalist abuse of their own people. And to top it all off, one socialist state wants to fight another for these unrestrained capitalists?"

Major Garrett went to his workstation and typed in a few commands. The satellite Malleus received his commands almost instantly, in low orbit over the planet. As he entered the final password, two Amalek-1 rockets with 40 kiloton payloads fired on Shazbotdom, targeting two separate military bases. This ought to turn any military base into kitty litter, thought the Major. "Missiles fired on Shazbotdom."

Now for Jenrak, thought the General. The 17th Republic Guards Armored Division and 19th Mechanized Infantry should have arrived by now.

Jenrak Border

The 17th Armored and 19th Mechanized arrived at the border. They were not to split up until they were well into Jenrak, then the 19th would head for Delisk, and the 17th would RV with Al-Qahiri's fleet at the shoreline. This was so the 11th Air Force could protect them against an attack at the border.

The Shoreline

Meanwhile, at the shore, the An-Najis and Al-Moloch were sunk, and the Ash-Shirk and Al-Hubal were badly damaged and stretching their weight limits rescuing survivors. Defense Minister Al-Qahiri, commanding the fleet, ordered his marines to storm the beach and charge the base. They had only a few hundred Walkers with them, and about 10,000 marines spread among the four ships. Prehaps a thousand of them had drowned or been gobbled up by the sharks. He weighed his options... 50,000 crew on ships that were so badly damaged he probably couldn't get back to Kahanistan without help, and minus two of the four ships he started with, 9,000 marines, and maybe 600 Walkers. Of those, he estimated about 250 were still operable, each requiring a crew of 3. He figured he had 59,000 troops he could call on for this battle, and fewer than half of them had seen combat in person. He gave the order.

"Fill the Walkers, charge the base!" Soldiers climbed into the 14-foot tall two-legged fighting vehicles and rushed the base. Marines and crew followed suit, the least experienced fighters keeping to the rear, the marines following the walkers. They took heavy fire on their approach to the base...

OOC1: Militia Enforced State, I think 12 million men is a little to much because using that many troops will leave your homeland open to an attack. But it is your nation and you can watch your men get killed.

IC: Dominion Military bases all around Jenrak were on red-alert. Somehow an attack on a Jenrak base had happened without them knowing it. Somehow a fleet of airship flew over them and they didn’t get a shot off with their AA guns or SAM sites.

The whole division of the 3rd Jackson's Roughnecks (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/CountJWolf/3rd.jpg) were stationed in Jenrak. 500,000 men strong and tough as nails. They were stationed in the 10 military bases in parts of Raunin, Jenrak. Bases that looked like fortress from the medieval ages. Huge stone castle like wall that stood over 25 feet tall. Huge stone buildings inside the walls. AA guns and SAM site on hidden on the wall. This base could house 200,000 soldiers for a long time.

But they were not the only Dominion soldiers in Jenrak. The whole division of the 19th Hound Soldiers (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/CountJWolf/19th.jpg) were stationed, too. The whole division of the 34th Hel Digunners (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/CountJWolf/34th.jpg) and the 41st Hobgoblins (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/CountJWolf/41st.jpg) were stationed at the bases. Each division were 500,000 men strong.

Anything that got near the bases that was not something of the Dominion or her allies, it would be blow to hell and back.

The Marble Hall of Sadism
Standing on his podium, in a great glistening array of silver armour, laced with white cleansed robes, his sword dangling at his belt’s sheath, Arcarum emerged from his throng within the balcony’s chamberlain and stood to watch the men, the infantry, standing in unison in reverence of their leader. “Again, again, again.” Arcarum said, his voice booming into the nearby microphones, as the soldiers laughed and chuckled in amusement. “Another enemy seeking to destroy us, or convert us, or control us.” He took out his sword, the ringing of the metal seeming to echo into every corner of the massive barracks. “Well? Have we not already gone through this many times over? Have we already done this from rebellion before and after? That all enemies fought us crushed in our fist?” Arcarum lifted the sword, shining the light onto the mirror on the other end of the courtyard, as it pranced around and illuminated the scene, the other mirrors bouncing off the light majestically. “This time, a peace-loving country with regards for human rights come to attack us! They wish to make our country unsafe!” He yelled, as the soldiers roared in horror, in disgust of the propaganda-like news.

“They wish to ‘liberate’ the mine of Delisk. Let me ask of you. Anybody here with close relatives in Delisk?” He looked around, and only a single hand was raised. Pointing to the man, Arcarum asked, “And did you like them?” The man shouted in anger, and shook his head from the crowd.

“Never! They were assholes!” The man said, spitting on the ground in anger.

“Of course! Millions of people in third world countries die every day, from natural causes, loved ones! And the Jenrakian military wipes a town of pretentious, smart mouthed prebuscents, and now they are coming to fight us! Have your wealth never been more rich? Have all have thicker pockets?” He yelled again, his voice a light with a passion gone heard throughout, as the soldiers and yelled in agreement, roaring in approval of Arcarum’s words.

“They wish to take away your wealth! They wish to increase your suffering! Well? Will you let them?” He yelled, and the soldiers roared in disagreement loudly, as the sound seemed to even shake the stone grounds around them. Arcarum began to walk around, looking at each soldier in turn personally, and saw the gleam of fanaticism in their eyes. “I have bled, and fought and carried on like all of you! And I have sacrificed all I have done so that Jenrak will progress! I have almost every homeless man into my home, let many spies go, and yet, now they believe me to be a tyrant!” Arcarum spits on the ground in fury, as the men copied his actions.

“Is it so much to call Jenrak a land of tyrants? We are not a tyranny! Is not a family a tyranny? Hath not the mother and the father rule with under questioned power over the children? Do they punish them? No!” The soldier yelled again in agreement.

“They seek to destroy our homes, capture our capital and make you do all the work on the political spectrum. Why is that? For freedom? For safety? What safety is there in weakness? They wish to free the slaves, for Enkur’s sake! What if they overrun the country? Take control? Will you let the slaves take control of your family? Will you never have the chance to become better than your rivals?” He yelled once more, and the soldiers roared again in a crazed passion.

“Raise your swords, your guns, your weapons, and all of your spirit! For those who die for Jenrak, die for it’s father; Ascherach! For those who die for Ascherach live on in glory! They live in paradise of the heavens!” Arcarum yelled once more, before the gates opened, and the soldiers flooded out in hives onto the military pads, climbing into the choppers, as others manned onto the naval ships, a secret shadow emerging from the helm of the curtains behind the balcony. A metal click, and a small whirring of gears made it familiar who it was.

“Nahk, what do you want?” Arcarum asked his favoured General, who hid in curiosity, but finally emerged from his draft.

“Fighting two enemies on three fronts. I would like to have this challenge.” Nahk said, his voice unnaturally cold and reaping.

“Ashili gets to battle SkyCapt and the Militia Enforced State. You will be given command of the Battle against Kahanistan.” Arcarum said, as Nahk groaned in complaint. “I have no doubt that you will be prove to be a challenge to them all, but for pity’s sake; you cannot fight three fully fledged nations on the defensive. You play the offensive scale. Saerus is the one who plays defensive.”

“Yes, Lord.” Nahk succumbed, turning around, his cloak billowing as he walked away towards the door, preparing himself.

Of course, all things are much more helpful. We wish to purchase any possible anti-aircraft weaponry, but can you please explain more? (OOC: I need a link, if possible)

To: Shazbotdom
Your ideal is correct, to us as well. Never do we believe that nations should impost their laws on other nations on the movement of whatever happens within their own borders. Fellow nations are to aid and strengthen other nations, not condemn and reduce. Whatever aid you send is most gracious, and will be paid back in full when this is over.

To: The Transylvania
Your aid is most appreciated, and once again you have been in another segment of Jenrakian warfare. As tenacious as you are, we would like to remind our fair allies in The Transylvania that this is from enemy nations, no longer the undisciplined rabble of the common rebellion throughout Jenrak. Once again, like Shazbotdom, whatever aid will be paid back in full.

To: Quere
Your inspection is cleared, and you may do whatever you wish with your forces in our borders, as long as they do not involve turning on us, when you have clearly stated a signal of aid. If you require any point of direction on where to move your forces, we suggest the Raunin delta, the first gate of the Capital of Haasdra.

The Command Cluster of Murun
Aboard it’s hive of activity, came the transmission from Arcarum towards Serrin, the Queen of the Jenrakian borders, to initialize the biological weaponry, in case of enemy invasions becoming successful. While Nahk commanded from the tip of the helm in the dungeons of Aairak, Ashili in the confines of her castle in Naharahk, and Saerus ready to reinforce the walls of Archios, Arcarum would, himself, begin the assault by launching his first wave of the Sadists upon the coastline by Rephalim.

Infantry, all of the veteran Siren class, lined up in groups, organized and steady, as they quickly entered into transports and carriers, recruits strapped to the tip loading tanks, artillery, and maintaining ships and vessels, operating landmines before the climatic beginning of the true war. The Arguns have been reported of attack, and already three bases have fallen in the edge of the first island, Ouziz, dangerously close to Ouridna.

Lancers and their bikes, rocket buggies and their missiles, armed and ready, have slashed out of military bases everywhere in Jenrak, from such places such as abandoned warehouses and factories, haunted houses and deserted silos. They poured out in hives, like clusters, like a great mass of force that could be a long line of flesh and bone, wrapped tightly around a ring of metal. Anti-Aircraft missile systems were placed all over Hsac, Haasdra and Illith Kerenuk, and both the Fists of Stone and the Sword Bearing Police ready to make their calls.

In the mining camp of Delisk, the workers were in surprised curiosity as soldiers headed towards their camp. “What is going on?” They asked, as the Recruits came near.

“Foreign invaders wish to take this mine from us, and you. You will double your work load, and we will pay war time level wages. Should enemy forces come over, do not believe anything they say or do. If necessary, fight back.” The recruits told them, as they nodded and went back to their work.

To SkyCapt and the Militia Enforced State
I look forward to this encounter of strategy upon the field, and wish to assimilate all of your prospects of battle in this war. We shall watch you, and fight you, and become stronger for it. In a way, we thank you, as now we will know what strategies are employed by your nations, and when we fight again after this, Jenrak will be stronger.

To Kahanistan
Although I bear no ill-feelings towards your nation, and know that you are only seeking what is deemed best for humanity at heart, you must know that many countries are born under many different circumstances, and in many different places. Not all nations are alike, and this affects how they work, and ultimately choose their choices. There are no bad or good choices, Kahanistan; only choices that are believed to be the right one. We have destroyed Delisk because in the hope of Jenrak losing a finger, we will grow an arm. You do this because you believe that the strength of the people is stronger and more valuable with the freedom of the masses. I will fight you, and honor whatever you do, but know that I will not be merciful, and that there is no method too sneaky, cowardly, or unjust for any war.

"Thank you." Juy turned to the sniper."Go to the mountains near Dilsk and protect the Mine. DO NOT BE SEEN. You are the best of the best of the best of the best..." 20 minutes later"...of the best snipers in all of Quere. You shall never be seen. I will establish routes for you." The snipers got in jeeps and drove off. Juy got up and walked to the front of his troops.

"Men. We are going to war once again, and we have not finished our first war. These two wars are our first wars, as well. Do we cower?" Men shouted ,"NO!" Juy continued. "That's right! We do not!" He started pacing. "We are going to the great Mine. Fortunes, not for us, but for our allies shall be protected! We are establishing good relations with powerful countries. We are getting our dreams: saving our country and our friends. We are going to travel through the mountains over helicopter and attack those Kahistanian(sp?) fools who think they can tell toher countires what to do. If that is possible, and they listen, then I say to them: LEAVE!" A great cheer arose. He got in the first helicopter, followed by others. Soon, all 20 helicopters were flying over the mountains.

They landed high, overlooking the Mine. They went to the area around the Mine, and the only entrance to the Mines, and set up explosives and TNT. Mines were placed, as well as booby(ew) traps. Then they surrounded the Mine and put camo over thier camps and tents and waited.

Captain Jordan Antioch smiled as he watched the Querens from his foxhole, watched them set up their defenses, mining the area, hiding their campsites. He tapped out a few notes on a PDA on the locations of the minefields, which he would distribute to his men. Already they had set up a landing site for the Thunderbirds, as well as a fuel and ammo dump. They'd been camoflagued, so it was unlikely that they'd be spotted from the air.

Hearing the roar of a T-bird setting down, Antioch jogged over to the LZ. His jaw dropped when he saw the armor that the T-Bird's passengers were sporting: bright red.

Shit, they've sent the Red Samurai? What the hell does PRA want here? Walking towards the red-clad men, Jordan removed his helmet, and saluted the Samurai.

We've only had one poor reaction, the guy's currently in the field hospital."

The Samurai Major nodded. "What about automated and stationary defenses?"

"The Queren have set up a series of minefields, which I've just finished mapping. I was about to distribute the data when you arrived. We have a few SAM sites and pre-con bunkers set up around the area, they'll hold their own."

"Skycapt's getting ready?" Nahk asked his aide, who nodded in fear and reconcile.

"We do not have the manpower to fight off three nations alone. Perhaps we should call for the hand of aid from any allies?"

"You underestimate the aid from the forces that have already said they would help us. Quere and The Transylvania are both powerful enough to withstand these, and whatever SkyCapt attempts to throw at us will undoubtly fail. We have, after all, the defensive measures? Are we not a theocratic nation playing behind the wall?"

"Yes sir...but..."

"Enough. SkyCapt's airforce might outstrengthen ours, their numbers could be larger, but we have the advantage of the desert. Anybody willing to trek across throusands of miles across a scorching desert prone with sandstorms is insane. They almost all die before getting even close to the Archios wall."

"But how did Sanduras get past our defenses?"

"They studied us for ten years, crafting their military to be exactly the superior advantage of every single thing of ours. I highly doubt SkyCapt or any of Kahanistan's goons would wait long enough to design forces to beat ours, especially when there are weapons that cannot be designed to be stopped." Nahk chuckled menacingly, and what went through his mind was nobody's guess.

"Dasch, how long do you think your forces will be pulling out of Farmina?"

A few moments later due to distance-induced lag, comes a static-sounding reply. "The enemy has ceased firing. However, I'm feeling uneasy about the situation...it feels like I'm missing something in the grand picture. I wish to keep these soldiers here for the time being."

Ackvick sighs, as he nods his head. "Will do."

He then picks up the nation leaders phone, and contacts the leader of SkyCapt.

"Tell your men to hold tight. Don't move unless we do. Keep your troops at home until both our countries are ready. Don't tell anyone that we are not deploying as of yet."

He then calls Jenrak.

"I highly disagree with what you have done, but this situation is greatly deteriorating. This is why I wish to propose a cease-fire. We ask for a moderate change in your policy regarding the sancity of human life, in exchange of a prevention of war. We can discuss the terms, but I will say it will keep your profitability which you all love, while saving human lives. It's a win win win situation. To the Militia Enforced State
You're nation has been raised in a different spectrum, with different circumstances and different leaders. Jenrak was crafted out of strength, evil and oppression. Have you thought that perhaps foolhardy leaders of Jenrak previously have tried human rights? That they could not hold down the many different beliefs and cultures from the rivalling people? I can give them more power, more freedom, but that would come with a cost too enduring to do. While we applaud you of your concerns, we would like to note that this is none of your business. Perhaps you should bring your eyes back to your own nation.

*At Fort Twan Marine Base*

Alearts went off as marines scrambled to the fall-out shelters and tunnels under the complex. In the War Room of the complex, which was tripple enforced with steel and a few other metals, 3 Star Gen. Creil Andalr quickly ordered the anti missile defences to shoot back. They waited for roughly 5 minutes and saw one of the defence missiles slam directly into the enemy rocket and blow it up a good distance away from the base. The only thing the base had to worry about now was the fallout, which would be gone within a few days.

*At Fort Wood Marine Base*

Alarms screamed throughout the complex as the underground tunnels filled up with marines. The vehicle buildings were made of concrete tripple reinforced with steel plates so they would be safe. Several of the buildings were also built in the same manner so the Marines in them were safe from any attacks. The marines were moving as quicky as possible but some of them couldn't move quick enough. The last thing Private Anderson saw was a streak of smoke as the missile exploded directly above his head. Within seconds hundreds of marines stationed at the base were dead or dying from severe trama caused by the nuclear blast.

Underneith the base in the tunnels and fall-out shelters, thousands of marines huddled waiting for the destruction to end. Reports were comming into the emergency command room in the tunnel area that 2 missiles had been launched. One at this base and one at Fort Twan. The report indicated that Fort Twan was spared due to the quickness of his command and the missile defence shield. Reports wern't clear on how many died in the explosion at this base though, but it is estimated in the lower thousands.

*At the Imperial Palace, Shaz City*
Galen: "This is a FUCKING OUTRAGE!" He stated as he slammed his fists in a rage on the desk. "All we are doing is protecting the national soverignty of a nation that has done NOTHING FUCKING WRONG to the international community and we are attacked by a Warmongering FUCKING nation who thinks that they are HOLIER THAN THOU ASSHOLES. Get me the fucking Minister of Defence and Minister of the Interior, NOW!"

His aid walked out of the room and called up both Ministers on the video phone. After talking to them for a few minutes he hung up and walked back into Galen's office. The aid then walked up to the desk and spoke.

Aide: "They will be here within a few minutes. They are leaving their offices up stairs now."

Galen: "Good. Now we can get some FUCKING answers."

The Ministers of Defence and the Interior entered the room and sat down in front of Galen's desk. The Minister of Defence was the first one to speak as he briefed the Emperor on the readiness of the Marine Corps.

MoD: "Well, sir. We have reports that the missile that was fired upon Fort Twan was completely annilated at a safe distance from the base. Although there is a little fallout from the nuclear material that was disintegrated. The missile that was fired at Fort Wood is a different story. There are reports that it hit the base and decimated over 75% of the buildings. Reprots indicate that there have been casualties due to the explosion. We are utilizing a team of SpecOps troops in Anti-Nuclear suits to count the losses but they are estimated at roughly 12,000 Marines and 200 Civilians."

Galen: "What?!"

MoI: "Sir. You remember when you started that "Get to know the Military" program earlier this year?"

Galen: "Yes I do."

MoI: "Well sir. There was a school on a field trip. There were over 400 5th graders taking a tour of the base when it was attacked. Were not sure how many made it into the tunnels and fall-out shelters before the missile hit."

Galen: "This is FUCKING rediculous. Give me a few minutes to think about this and i will dispatch a message to the International Community. Hell will have nothing on what i will do to the fuckers who have done this. You are dismissed."

OOC: I will put the message in a little bit...

Currently today Jenrak has been observing an attack on Shazbotdom-controlled bases, and have looked closely into the situation to find a casualty of a large load of children, whom we cannot identify neither age, class or number. Our satellites have been watching the movement of our allies, to make sure maximum aid is give when needed, and one of the most intruiging things found within Shazbotdom's borders was this event occuring, sparking interest within the political scale of Jenrak. Brigadier General Will Humphrey sat on the edge of an UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, his AR-56 assault rifle resting on his lap. He was wearing his Transylvanian Body Armor (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/CountJWolf/TransylvanianBA.jpg) with a brown duster over it. His TBA in the colors of forest green and black. He was well build, 98% muscle and 2% body fat. His blonde hair was in buzz cut, he had a goatee. He has dark gray eyes.

Will was a farm boy his whole life until he joined the Dominion army at the age of 16. He hunted and worked around his family’s farm in Poland. He mastered a weird way of hunting, too. He would sit in a tree for hours waiting for a deer to pass under him. Then he would jump of the tree and land on the deer, only armed with a long Bowie knife.

He was the second in command of the 3rd Jackson's Roughnecks. Today, he and small group of five soldiers were patrolling the lands around one of the Dominion military bases in upper Raunin. Then he spotted something in the edge of his eyes, so he turned his head to get a better view. He didn’t stop enemy soldiers; he spotted a couple of deers running through the woods. A buck and two does.

He looked back at his men, “Anybody hungry for deer?” he asked.

His men just laughed as Will raise his rifle at the buck. “Hell, Tall Geese, take us closer.” he ordered to the pilot of the helicopter. Tall Geese, an army pilot with the 34th Hel Digunners.

Tall Geese did what he was ordered and moved the closer to the deer. Almost above them, the helicopter moved with the deers as they ran. That is when Will threw his rifle to the soldier next to him and put the bowie knife from his rifle boot. “Geese, get this bird above the trees.” ordered Will. The helicopter moved right above the trees, staying with the deer. Getting in front of them, too.

Will jumped from the helicopter at clearing that the buck would pass. He had jumped from twenty feet in the air without a safely line. “Safely lines are for **ssies.” is what he would always say. Right as he was going to hit the ground, the buck passes below him. Landing the buck back, it was slammed on the ground.

The buck’s back was broke but it was still alive. Will pulled the head back using the horns and cut the buck’s neck. Then he hopped up and threw his knife beside his feet. He drew his PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol and shot the running does in the head.

Najaster, Capital of Kahanistan

At Kahanistan National University, Najaster

Four students were sitting in their dorm rooms watching the national news and talking about which female anchor they would most like to "bone" or even more graphic terms. The anchor continued her speech.

On other news, in Fort Wood Marine Base, Shazbotdom, an estimated 200 children were killed when a Kahanistanian Amalek-1 missile struck the base. President Mohammed bin Yusuf al-Zaif denied knowing the children were in the base, but calls for his resignation or even his impeachment are growing louder.

Omar al-Khalif, the young man whose dorm the students were in, spat out his beer. "How could he not have known about the children? Everyone knows about the 'Getting to know your military' program. Besides, they have nothing to do with Jenrak, they're just as socialist as we are." (OOC: the civilians didn't know anything about Shazbotdom's threat in the face of continued hostilities with Jenrak.)

Jamal bin Haram, his frat brother, and charter member of the moderate peace movement Salam ad-Dunya, agreed. "We've got a demonstration against expanding the war into Shazbotdom planned for 4:00 this afternoon, coming?"

Omar, his brother Mahmoud, and his girlfriend Mari al-Jafar agreed.

Three hours later, at the demonstration...

The riots in Najaster were the bloodiest fighting on Kahanistanian soil since the Dark Times 150 years earlier, when people still believed in religious warfare and capital punishment. In a bizarre imitation of military tactics, the student demonstrators barricaded the streets with Everhaul 2195's and civilian cars, setting them on fire. The mob burned an effigy of General Abu Hamza al-Aziz, the Deputy Defense Minister who had ordered the nuclear attack. They chanted in Arabic and English outside of the Presidential Palace to call for the President's resignation. The Najaster Police were unable to put down the riots, but Vice President Abd al-Karim bin Hassan did not wish to use the Republic Guards for fear of looking like a military dictator. The Military Science building on the campus was burned, and the arms looted by the demonstrators, who were now firing phasers at the police, who were so badly outnumbered that much of the Government District lay in ruins.

Finally, after two hours of rioting, leaving 500 students and 200 police dead or wounded, Vice President bin Hassan spoke to the demonstrators.

"Citizens of Kahanistan, hear me! The people of Kahanistan are not child killers!" The demonstrators booed him loudly. He continued, "Shazbotdom threatened to attack us because we would not tolerate the murder of civilians to build a mine. The President spoke the truth, we are indeed aware of the 'Get to Know your Military' program, but our intelligence indicated that those bases did not have children in them! We would be most hypocritical to condemn Jenrak for killing children and turn around and do it ourselves! We would lose international credibility faster than you could say blink. If there were children in there, the Intelligence Officer in charge of this operation will be disciplined."

"As I speak, the Defense Minister is MIA. We have had no communications with the forces at the base in 24 hours. He could be dead, or he could have escaped, or been captured. The forces moving toward Delisk are ill-trained for desert conflict. We didn't expect Jenrak to have so expansive a desert terrain. Shazbotdom wishes to attack us, probably, they won't believe me as easily as you did. We are recalling the forces in Jenrak that we can reach to prepare for the defense against Shazbotdom. I must reiterate that we will not make any further moves until they attack us. But when they do, we will fight in the cities, on the beach, in the canals, through the mountains, in the desert, but Kahanistan will never surrender."

The Vice President took a breath and concluded his speech. "And now, I must ask you to return to your homes. We will, of course, address your concerns in the Senate later." Most of the demonstrators dispersed quickly, a few lingered around to see if the Vice President would speak again. He walked back into the palace.

He then radioed Jenrak.

From: Vice President Abd al-Karim bin Hassan
To: Government of Jenrak

We are withdrawing troops from your territory. We invite your leaders to come to our capital to discuss a more lasting cease-fire.

If we can get everyone of importance to the table, we can change your country for the better, and best of all no one has to die."

**Ultra Secret IC**
In the deep forests of the Pure Socialist Holy Empire, the Shazbotdom Marine Corps were having war games to prepare themselves for the battles that would come at them in the near future. There were a multitude of teams in this makeshift battle. The majority of the Marines that were taking part were in the 1st Armored Company of the Marine Corps. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th Companies had their traning last week and were preparing for immediate departure if the call was made from the Emperor's deck.

3 Star Gen. Andrew Thnal overlooked the battle field using SpySat 2 to see that the Marines were running the war games well. These games lasted for almost 2 days before one team finally captured another team's flag once. Thus 3 Star Gen. Andrew Thnal put in a radio transmission to all the teams notifying them of the win and ordered them to report back to their respective Marine Corps bases (the ones still standing after the nuclear explosion).

Thnal (on secure radio): "Alright. Report back to your bases and stay in the blast shelters until you are called upon."

Almost all of the Shazbotdom Marine Corps were bought up to active status. The only section that hasn't reported in was the 4th Company, 91st through 100th divisions which brought the total percentage of active troops to 97.5% as of this date. That would make roughly 17,962,500 of the Active Marine Corps ready.

OOC: Just a note. Support and Logistics are run by a private corporation. This helps the Marine Corps have more Marines than support and logistics.

From: Emperor Galen

Your men are ordered to officially be ready for battle. You will load up approximatly 10 AC-02's with supersonic cruise missiles and prepare to launch them at The Murderous Zionist Entity of Kahanistan from orbit. The scientists say that this will cause the Supersonic Cruise Missiles to accelerate from their designed Mach 6 to an unheard of Mach 9. Which will make any enemy unable to lock onto them with any weapon known to man.

OOC: Mach 9? The thing would weigh a ton, and it would probably spontaneously explode from the heat and vibration! Change the stats and I'll be happy. ;)

OOC: Mach 9 is not unheard of. the University of North Dakota aurospace department is testing a plane right now out of Grand Forks International Airport that's maximum speed is at Mach 9.1.

Also, i reinforced the armor on the missiles for this purpose. They wouldn't be launched at that speed from space though. They would drift down through the atmostphere with their engines off and when they are within the atmosphere they would turn their jets on and fly straight down over any target designated which would cause less friction.

Anyways, this isn't for an attack on you, it is for an attack on Kahanistan if he doesn't pay my nation for the damages he's caused to not only my nation, but the parents of the school-kids he killed in his nuclear blast.

The Government of Kahanistan deplores the loss of children that we inadvertently caused, but we timed the missile strikes for a time when we believed there would be no children in the base.

We will not be threatened into backing down while we are trying to fight against a nation that treats its people as commodities. We have pulled our troops from Jenrak temporarily to deal with the larger threat, however.

The next missiles we fire will be significantly more powerful, should you choose to escalate this conflict. Also, should you invade, you will find that the number of troops you will be forced to commit here will leave your homeland defenseless.

The only thing that will make us NOT escilate this conflict is if you pay the $5.6 Billion that will go toward repairng the damages to the base and to the families of those who lost their children in this MASSACURE that YOU caused. Also, you would be supprised on how well our shores are defenced, we have hundreds of Anti Aircraft guns and SAM Missiles as well as hundreds of Anti-Ship missile batteries along our shores that can extend well inland. Our forces also don't just have the Active troops listed previously, no. We have roughly 1.5 Million Special Operations Marines and around 100 of the SCS Project Marines. We also have more than 6 Million troops within the Pure Socialist Holy Empire's Marine Corps Reserves. That is more than enough to defend against any attack upon our soil by your nation.

Let me stress this AGAIN. You either PAY us the $5.6 Billion or we will take matters into OUR OWN HANDS.

Major Garrett inputted his codes at the base. This time, instead of the 40KT Amalek-1 missiles, two 1MT Amalek-2 missiles were fired from the satellite Malleus, targeting two other military bases. If Shazbotdom wanted to invade, they would have to do it with a lot fewer troops than they had planned.

"Missiles fired, General," said the Major.

"Good... now let these warmongers come to me..." said al-Aziz. "The damage should be... about 5.6 billion USD, that translates to... about 3.1 billion racist shekels." He grinned evilly. Those hypocrites wanted Kahanistan to pay, well they were going to be the ones paying.

Alarms went off around Shazbotdom as the launches were detected right away. All Marines at the bases were sent quickly to the tunnels as radars and satelites tracked the path of the missiles. This time it was made sure that there was no one left in the open. Missile defences sent anti-missile missiles into the air to take care of the threat. One missile was destroyed while the other remained. It blew up at Fort Klegland which was mostly an underground bunker location. Very minimal damage was done to the base but the radiation spread quickly as the Federal Government closed down the nearby interstate highway from travel from the cities of Bolingbrook and Joliet to the Capital City. Travel from those 2 cities to the capital was halted except for travel using privatly owned aircraft. Although people from Bolingbrook could still travel to Joilet without entering the hot zone.

Word of the latest attacks had reached the Imperial Palace. He decided it was time to take action. His first decision was to order the DEFCON rating to DEFCON 1. Which put Shazbotdom Conventional Military on full aleart. After that he ordered the Shazbotdom Strategic Command to prepare GLSat 1 for use. It was currently positioned 3,000 kilometers due west of the Shazbotdom mainland, pointed down at the water for saftey concerns. This weapon had not been used since it's launch 4 years ago. Coordinates typed in made it start moving into a geocyncranis orbit above Kahanistan. It's satelite defence systems made it hard to find, due to it being painted black with white dots to make it look like part of the starscape.

General al-Aziz was speaking with Major Garrett on his cell when he heard the Shazbotdom statement on TV. He spat out his 180 proof Schnapps in rage. "Stubborn bastards! Prep two Amalek-3's and fire on two more bases!"

Major Garrett sighed but did as he was told. He radioed the Malleus satellite to fire two 10 MT warheads. He wondered out loud why al-Aziz didn't just fire the Amalek-4's from the start. A volley of 50 MT warheads would have those sheep shaggers coming to Najaster begging for peace.

"Because they cost too much to waste if you don't need to," said al-Aziz as if expplaining to a child. "Did you fire the Amalek-3 missiles?"

Major Garrett nodded, then realized he was on the phone. "Yes, sir."

"Good," said the General. "If we had money to burn, we'd be using Goliath missiles, they don't pollute the environment and they do more damage. Now let's see if Shazbotdom will send a representative to join us."

He sat back in his chair and laughed. If they counterattacked, at least one base would definitely survive long enough to radio the Malleus, and then the dreaded Amalek-4 missiles would rain down on Shazbotdom, destroying every single military base they had.

In Kahanistan's major cities, soldiers handed out NBC (Nuclear / Biological / Chemical) suits to civilians. Forces inside military bases retreated to the Shelter Domes, huge underground domes functioning as command centers and bomb shelters. An experimental vaccine was poured into the canals, to try to prevent any enemy bioweapons from killing all the fish.

Underground, civilians were arming themselves with not only phaser rifles, but also obsolete M-16's and whatever ammunition they could get, or what would even pass as ammunition. While not a common combat weapon anymore, the M-16 enjoyed widespread usage as a target shooting weapon, and terrorists and criminals had been using it for decades. During the Dark Times of religious fighting, numerous underground tunnels and bomb shelters had been built, and these were expanded after the end of the Dark Times. By now they covered tens of thousands of kilometers under Kahanistan.

Soldiers were placing their flak jackets on over their NBC. They were forced to put their rank insignia on the flak jackets, as their uniforms were no longer visible. They awaited the inevitable nuclear attacks against their bases, and the subsequent expected invasion of their cities. Many of the religious soldiers prayed to their deities, God, G-d, Allah, even Satan. The atheistic soldiers knew that none of them would help. Only the Kahanistan Republic Guard could save them now. They had sent a representative to Jenrak to try to end the primary conflict, but that hothead Aziz had screwed the pooch with his temper, firing on someone who could have provided crucial diplomatic support in these trying times.

On the corner of Main and Eighth Streets in Najaster, Private Josef Malkov of the Republic Guard stood under a billboard, just recently erected, depicting General al-Aziz literally screwing a pooch and chuckled. Such political art lampooning political or military figures was common in Kahanistan, a symbol of the widespread freedom of speech and other human rights that Kahanistanians enjoyed, and a symbol of what they felt the world deserved. And much of the political art was much more explicit than that. Two hundred years earlier it would have likely gotten the artist killed.

A young woman, about 25, with her toddler walked by. Private Malkov stopped them and said through his intimidating combat gear, "Miss, you cannot walk the streets without NBC protection." He gave the pretty woman a NBC suit and a children's NBC suit. He sadly noted that the money spent on the children should go to feeding and educating them, not to protecting them from a war that need never had expanded. But he was only 19 years old. The only influence he had in his government was his vote, and most candidates were somewhat militaristic these past twenty or thirty years.

The woman took the suit, put it on over her slacks and blouse, and did the same to her three-year-old boy. Private Malkov nodded and said, "You're suited properly. You are free to go." This was the fifth child he had suited that day. How many more would be protected? How many more would die because there weren't enough to go around? Most who didn't have suits were in shelters of various degrees of quality, but there were still many millions who were walking the streets unprotected, and he had just given his last child suit.

The woman stayed to talk to him. "Things are really depressing here. Do you think we'll actually get nuked?"

"Probably just on our bases. That's all we did. But the Government thinks we should all be protected, just in case. What's your name, by the way?"

"Maria Nikolaevna Kalnova. This is my son, Gregor Andreivitch Kalnov. I'm a graduate anthropology student at the university."

"Private Josef Antonievitch Malkov, 61st Republic Guards. I live right down the street at the corner of Eighth and Synagogue Street. I go off duty in half an hour."

Kalnova smiled. "Things have been really boring the last few years. It's nice to have something to lighten it up, but I never thought we'd be nuked." She took the soldier's hand. "The anthropology department was spared most of the devastation of the riots, but a few windows were smashed. Professor al-Jariish thinks we should continue classes there anyway."

"Education is very important. If it weren't for the war, I'd be in college right now. Maybe we would have met up."

"We met up anyway. You said you get off duty about now, right?"

Malkov nodded. "You want to go somewhere with me?"

She chuckled and climbed into his AT-192 AFV on the passenger side, holding her child. Malkov got into the driver's seat. He feared this would be his last day on Earth, and wanted to make the most of it.

Dear all nations involved,
Seeing as this has turned into a nuclear war, we are going to decrease our activity. We are not, however, retreating, just decreasing our activities. We are not going to do any major attacks.

Dur

As the many nations recieved this messege, a helicoptor filled with explosives crossed the border into Kanhistan. They soon saw the capital. The main building where the president was (didn't mention room, though!)came into view soon appeared in the many buidlings, and the helicoptor shot at it with its only weapon: 3 6-caliber machine guns. It neared it, being hit by any thing the Kahistan forces threw (or shot) at it, but the armor was heavy-plated. It suddenly went spiraling as it was hit in the engine. It went crashing, the pilot sending it to the pesidents residence. A moment later, it exploded into a plume of flame and smoke, setting fire to the nearby trees and walls and etc. Cars were nearby and exploded as well.

The Pure Socialist Holy Empire has not used any nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons yet. We are considering using such weapons though unless Kahanistan pays us back for any and all damages done against the Pure Socialist Holy Empire. We tried a diplomatic touch when we condemned their actions, they started the agression between our two nations by nuking our military bases when we had field trips on them. That is not only a war crime, but in the eyes of the rest of the world, a crime against humanity.

The Pure Socialist Holy Empire has notified it's allies about this unlawful and unethical aggression that has taken place against us. At this very moment, diplomatic envoys are being sent to the headquarters of each of the alliances that the Pure Socialist Holy Empire is a part of. FOREIGN OFFICE STATEMENT

To: The Murderous Zionist Entity of Kahanistan

Your nation has murdered countless numbers of innocent people and you have attacked what was a non belligerent in a situation of war. This is, by definition, an unprovoked attack. Certain clauses in the Charter of the Ottoman Alliance ask the Commonwealth of Hirgizstan to step into such a situation to help the allied nation in question.

In this case The Pure Socialist Holy Empire of Shazbotdom, a valued ally, has asked and will receive our help, and indeed the help of several other nations from the Ottoman Alliance.

Kahanistan, you have been given an ultimatum to respond to. Either pay the required sum of money for damages caused by your attack or suffer for your attack.

Currently, Space Forces within the COH (i.e. those that control the ICBM's, Satellite's and ICBM Space Based Defense System) have been mobilised and are at DEFCON ONE, the highest possible state of order.

If asked, the COH will provide a a nuclear option for this situation. Currently we have over 200,000 Nuclear ICBM's, ranging from 90,000MT down to 100MT.

We want to see this situation resolved peacefully without further attacks. Bear in mind the sheer destructive capability of a 90,000MT ICBM when you make your decision. The COH has a initial launch capability of over 1000. When you make your decision, ensure you make the right one.

President Mohammed bin Yusuf al-Za'if had been kept abreast of the developments only by cell phone with Vice President Abd al-Karim bin Hassan.

As he drove towards Najaster, he noticed that many of the highways were blocked off. It took him six hours to get to Najaster, what should have been an hour and a half. When he arrived, he noted to his horror that nearly a third of the Government District had been burned in the riots. Soldiers were still handing out NBC suits. An Imperial Marine forced a suit through the President's car window.

When he arrived at the Central Command building, he immediately sought out General al-Aziz and said, "I'll have to dismiss you as Deputy Defense Minister. You will still be a General, but you will never be able to launch nuclear weapons again. In fact, all future launches will have to go through me personally." Al-Aziz nodded and walked sheepishly back to his office.

Al-Za'if then called the Ottoman Alliance. "Such atrocities are against our policy and the man who ordered them has been fired. Your representatives are welcome to come to Najaster to discuss an end to this conflict, and to arrange the exact amount of compensation to be paid. The only alternatives I can see are that we continue shooting missiles at each other, and the biggest thing in our arsenal is a 400 MT kinetic energy weapon that costs too much to mass produce. In such a contest we would be hopelessly disadvantaged. We will wire three billion racist shekels to Shazbotdom (5.4 billion USD) now as a gesture of good faith."

FOREIGN OFFICE STATEMENT

This is an excellent step in the right direction.

As the first representative of the Ottoman Alliance to place diplomatic communications in the situation I will attend to all diplomatic workings until the President or Vice-President of the Alliance steps in, if they should choose to do so at this time.

However, as one of the main protagonists here, most decisions are, as you can imagine, up to The Pure Socialist Holy Empire of Shazbotdom. The President of the Ottoman Alliance will decide whether a delegation is necessary, but the government of the COH suggests at this time, that all negotiations go through the relevant channels within Shazbotdom, who will in turn inform the Alliance regardless of whether a delegation is sent.

The Commonwealth of Hirgizstan hopes for the best outcome in this situation.

Joint Statement from the State Department and the Department for Alliances

The United States of Independent Hitmen is appalled by the use of nuclear weapons by The Murderous Zionist Entity of Kahanistan on our ally The Pure Socialist Holy Empire of Shazbotdom.

We are bound to defend our allies by the Ottoman Constitution and we intend to do so if The Murderous Zionist Entity of Kahanistan is foolish enough to continue this conflict any further.

As current President of the Ottoman Alliance our representatives will be present at any negotiations that take place and will have the full authority of the President to extract the necessary concessions from The Murderous Zionist Entity of Kahanistan.

Whilst we have not completely formulated a list of our aims from such a conference we can say that they will include this:

The Murderous Zionist Entity of Kahanistan is to give up its nuclear arsenal to an Ottoman Alliance Force. Obviously the safeguards are not in place in this nation to ensure that the nuclear option is only used in the direst of circumstances. The usage of nuclear missiles on The Pure Socialist Holy Empire of Shazbotdom as a first strike weapon against a nation that had showed no OVERTLY threatening actions is most worrying and we feel that your nation is not of the correct maturity to be in possession of such arms.

We will be very flexible in our negotiations, however we feel that some form of disarmament of Kahanistani nuclear weapons is called for by their use of them to date.

We also feel that it is our duty to inform you that USIH strategic forces have been put on high alert to retaliate against any further nuclear activity by The Murderous Zionist Entity of Kahanistan. President Anderson has authorized for nuclear missiles to be carried on a number of platforms, including strategic bombing forces and strategic submarines.

The President of Kahanistan has instituted new protocols that require his personal approval for any and all future nuclear missile launches. No longer will the nuclear arsenal of Kahanistan be in the hands of whatever right-wing general who wants to fire them. Such generals will have to request and be granted permission by the President to launch nuclear devices.

The Kahanistanian anti-missile defense systems are at DEFCON-RED and soldiers and civilians are being issued NBC gear in preparation of any missile attacks on our land. Furthermore, we have poured an experimental vaccine into our water supply to protect the fish and other aquatic animals that make up our ecosystem from biological weapons.

The United Nations has trillions of people in their member countries, and can easily outnumber any force either country or its allies can muster. This is an ultimatum between both of your countries: Disarm or withdrawl all hostilities, or we will gather United Nations approval for an international war against your countries. The risk of nuclear weapons destroying the athmosphere, and killing off the world population is too great a risk to stand idly.

We will also assasinate the leadership on both sides if you refuse to stand down, NOW."

We have stated that our nuclear equipped forces are on a higher than usual alert against possible aggression from The Murderous Zionist Entity of Kahanistan towards our allies in Shazbotdom, however we do not suppose that The Murderous Zionist Entity of Kahanistan will be foolish enough to oppose the Independent Hitmen through such a reckless attack.

We are fully itent on allowing diplomacy to take to the fore in this dispute.

It should also be known that the Independent Hitmen are members of the UN as are a substantial amount of our allies. Any such vote to try and get United Nations forces to oppose IH forces would be hard to pass, even harder to enforce, and would ultimately lead to a large war that neither side would want. They are trained in more than 15 types of martial arts and will defend our deligate if anyone attempts to kill him, be it one of Kahanistan's people or one of Militia Enfored State's people. The Deligate will be the Emperor's Wife, Mrs. Stephanie Leotardia, so you see the importance in protecting her from any attempts at her life.

They will come in 3 AC-01 Pelican aircraft. We will pull all amunition out of the weapons. The AC-01 Pelican's will have 2 WH-01 "Street" Warthog's and 1 WH-03 "Troop Transport" Warthog. The marines will be to protect our deligate in case of an attack The deliage will be in the WH-03 which will have the passanger seat surrounded by bullet proof glass on all 6 sides (includes top, bottom, left, right, front, and back) so no one can take any pop-shots at him.

From Nahk Territurari, Red Patriarch
Of course. You may bring as much security is needed, as long as things will go smoothly in this conference. We are still expecting the arrival of the others, and should you start your arrival now, perhaps you can reach Jenrak safely by nightfall.

Kahanistan will send Interim Defense Minister Abdul-Rahman bin Muhammad and two fully armed Imperial Marines to the peace talks via armored vehicle. We will remove the disruptor cannons from a standard AT-192 AFV for transportation.

OOC:
We should start a new thread for the talks. I suggest that Jenrak start the thread seeing as he is the one hosting the talks.

OOC: Militia Enforced State, don't make me laugh. The UN, in this game, don't do RPing at all. Your a new player and thus i won't laugh too hard at you. My nation is a Commonwealth actually, I have Colonies, currently the population is above 13 Billion somewhere, not 4 Billion. If you had done your homework on my nation you would have known this, without making yourself look like a typical noob, trying to make rules when you don't know them yourself. Believe me, there are nations smaller than mine with a bigger nuclear deterrent. Also, i never said i would fire nuclear missiles, I mentioned it was an option if required by my ally, Shazbotdom. Wind your neck in please, and do some homework before you post again. This is good advice, you really don't want to make yourself look the fool in an RP, especially when you are quite a new nation.

Here's my NS:Wiki factbook, where you can see my military, peruse the budgets and check the population stats, which i think are out of date:

There are links there to economic fact windows at the bottom, in the links section.

I'll be sending someone from the Foreign and Defense Departments to this peace meeting.

OOC:
I could never figure NSWiki out. So i'll just stick with making my factbook on forum sites. I'm doing the preliminary work on it at the Mutual Aid Pact's forum site and maybe will transfer it to another forum site perminantly, but i'm still debating that.

OOC: Just create an account at the Home Page, then take it from there. Basically just follow the small tutorial, and you can call up instructions at any time. Basically go to someone else's page and click on an 'edit' button, and if they have say a bullet point section, the code will be displayed in the section for 'editing'. Its really quite simple, can look overly complicated at first though, it did for me.

OOC: I didn't really see a need to respond to the assassination attempt beyond shooting your chopper. I was fighting a war on two fronts and couldn't get embroiled into other conflicts. Why do you think I'm putting out peace feelers now?

OOC:Yeah, that was stupid. Not my fault I was bored out of my wits. So just forget it...

Seeing as the many nations in this conflict have come to peace terms, Juy, along with a squad of Spec Ops will accompony the cease-fire meeting.
