Unusual Happenings in Greater Absolute Area
Our reporters in Absolute have reported that government officials and the military are forcing everyone to evacuate amid rumours of a medical epidemic and a civilian uprising. We don't have all the details but it appears that 1,000s are dead or dying and are being left that way. People are being forced into camps up to 100 miles away-deep in the Leafanistani Plateau. The 3rd Marine Battlion and the 34th Army Expeditionary Force have blockaded the Greater Absolute area. Only military vehicles are entering. This is eerily similar to the last Antibiotic-Resistant TB epidemic. Except the government has never abandoned hospitals before. We await more details but there has been a mainstream media blackout, except for standard Quarentine Notices in major news papers.

User ArmaStaple: This reminds me of the Solanum Epidemics, I don't care what the government says, teyh are rael!
User Pelikan: ^^^ Hes right, but the government just denies new cases, they said we did subjugate the Kingdom of Zombies, and the threat is over! I doubt its natural.
User xXSoldat444292Xx: I'm currently stationed there, and we've been told to shoot anyone leaving on sight, we've put up signs, so far Infrared shows movement. I can't say any more.
xXSoldat444292Xx was actually Private First Class Arkady Shelly, of the 34th Army Expeditionary Force. He was told to shoot on sight, but he didn't understand why. He didn't really care, Command had told him to man the 14.5 mm MG and to shoot anyone on sight, it was his duty and he was going to perform it.
Then he saw him, or a her, as far as he was concerned it was an image as frightening as when he entered training and saw Smallpox Victims. Only this was much worse. Whatever 'it' was its arm was gone. Its clothes were shambles and covered with coagulated blood. The person appeared to be in distress. Whomever it was, it held its remaining arm toward the soldiers. Private Shelly saw he was the only one paying attention to the line. The person moaned, clearly he needed help. But Shelly had his orders. But he cared. He brought up a megaphone;
"You there! Stop this is a military blockade!"
The soldiers nearby heard him. A medic ran toward the line, and got a pair of binoculars. His Sarge ran up and told him to shoot. Private Shelly didn't want to, whomever it was, he/she/or it needed help. He was about to protest, when Sarge ordered the others to fire.
The 6 other soldiers raised their KF10s and opened fire. At 450m, they weren't so accurate, but soon they corrected their fire, the person screamed in agony. He dropped. Private Shelly was filled with anguish, a fellow citizen shot down. Then what he saw next shocked him. With a shattered chest cavity, his intestines dragging along the ground, whomever it was stood up. He tripped over his own guts, fell to the ground. A Rocket Trooper picked up his RPG-29, affixed a Thermobaric Grenade to it, and fired. The person took it right in the legs, the body burst into flame. He flailed around while on fire. Then he finally dropped to the ground in agony, twitching oddly.
Sarge told Private Shelly to open up. He squeezed the trigger, the 14.5 mm rounds tore through what remained of the man. He closed his eyes as he did it. When he opened his eyes, there were burned chunks all around. He took out his binoculars and looked, the eyes and what remained of the head stared right at him. Burning slightly. Then to his disbelief, it blinked. The mouth opened. Private Shelly screamed, he knew what it was, but was too afraid to think it.
Sarge was also looking when he saw it. He got his 14.5mm Anti-Material Rifle. The shot tore the head into chunks. Shelly fell to the ground and looked up. A female Corporal helped him up, he latched onto her, he screamed again. The medic grabbed Shelly, he injected a sedative, and to Shelly's pleasure, the darkness of sleep enveloped him. He stopped screaming.
